So I'm looking for a free/open source system image creation and installation tool to use for windows something bootable from USB preferably that can then use a system image from say an external or secondary drive. I realize windows is capable of performing this but with the fact that lately my instalation some how manages to consistently corupt its self (usualy including recovery option some how) I want to make a third party pure and stable image and use a third party program to install said image. Thanks guys

benchmark What's the best Benchmarking software?
DumboDodo posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I need a decent benchmarking software to compare the data before & after making changes to the system (Updating BIOS / changing power plan / Overclocking / etc) to see if there are any changes or increases in performance. I want one that provides a lot of data in terms of clock speeds and temperatures most importantly. I tried 3DMark (demo version) but the data it provides is so useless (you have to buy the full version to get the graphs and charts that are actually useful) and I don't wanna pay 30 bucks to benchmark my PC 4 times or so. Mainly, I want to benchmark the CPU & GPU. Other components aren't really that important to me. Got any suggestions? Thanks! -
so what i am needing is a portable / non-admin software that i can use for when i go to work. i can not run administrator to install the program i need it to be easily portable as i move computers regular I have a Logitech G710 (MXbrown Keyboard) with 6 keys I have a Logitech G933 headset with 3 keys. * i have tried to program the G933 with my laptop but the profile doesn't save to the headset so the key commands do not follow the headset :'( i would like to have the key be programed to do tasks to make my work flow a little easier. would auto hot key be able to program default logitech keys?

(Windows 10) I’ll explain as best as I can, but is there any way to have a program, or at least particular components of it, stored in the RAM so when I launch the application, it can just run without having to be loaded from storage? “But Diggity, isn’t loading the application from an M.2 fast enough?” no. I want to turn 2.5 seconds into 0.5 however, if this isn’t possible, what can I tinker with to improve my load times as best as possible?

Following 3 years and 3 generations of defective keyboards, Apple has finally given Apple stores the tools they need to perform keyboard repairs/replacements in-store. That Memo says: This new policy follows the Keyboard replacement program, which Apple started to replace the keyboards on affected Macs for free, from Summer of last year. That program would require Apple to send your Mac to a repair facility and it would take about a week to get your machine back. This new repair policy is great news for those who have held off on getting their keyboards serviced because they could not afford to be without their Macs for a week. The next day turn arounds mean that people can now get their machines serviced on Saturday morning and pick it up and use it in time for work or school on time for Monday. Of note: Macs with 3rd gen. Keyboards (2018 MacBook Pros and the MacBook Air) are not eligible for this escalated repair at this time. Personally, I have not had any major issues that would warrant my sending my machine out or bringing it in. I've been able to resolve any "sticky keys" with a simple can of compressed air and I only have an intermittent double tap of my x key, which is hard to notice because X is literally the least used letter in the English language. Regardless, my experience does not discount the experiences of others, and I'm sure that those who have been affected by keyboard issues will welcome this new repair policy. I have made a rudimentary lstm neural-net using Tensorflow which can generate unique melodies using Tensorflow for my compsci (year 13 sixth form) coursework. However this alone isn't enough to score highly. I need advice on how to expand this project as I have hit a wall and I don't know where I can go from here. It can literally be anything, I just need a use-case or demonstration I can make, expanding on my project. My first idea (not original I know) was melody auto-completion, (a user uses a virtual piano to key in some notes and the program finishes it off for you) but my program needs more than a few notes of input to generate anything other than random garbage. I hope you guys have more imagination than me, please help

Hello, I've been working on a python code to trace the movement of the bishop in a chess game. I'm working with odd and even coordinates to know if the bishop can move or not, and it can move more than once to reach the final coordinate. My code does not work when it comes to the 'if' statement and it states "not all arguments converted during string formatting"...I've tried adding 'int' and stuff, but it's just not working..Help!! Code: a =1 while a==1: Numcas = int(input("How many cases do you have?: ")) countcas = 1 state = a = input('Enter the amount of columns and rows in your game: ') h = a.split(",") coltotal = int(h[0]) rowtotal = int(h[1]) if (2<=coltotal<=1000 and 2<=rowtotal<=1000): while (countcas <= Numcas): question2 = 'Enter the starting position in the case #{}: ' positionst = input(question2.format(countcas)) position = positionst.split(",") colstart = int(position[0]) rowstart = int(position[1]) question4 = 'Enter the finishing position number in the case #{} ' positionend= input(question4.format(countcas)) positionen = positionend.split(",") colend = int(positionen[0]) rowend = int(positionen[1]) countcas+=1 seqcount = 1 if positionst[0] % 2 == 0 and positionst[1] % 2 == 0 and positionend[0] % 2 ==0 and positionend[1] % 2 ==0: print ("TRUE") if positionst[0] % 2 !=0 and positionst[1] % 2 !=0 and positionend[0] % 2 !=0 and positionend[1] % 2 !=0: print ("TRUE") if positionst[0] % 2 !=0 and positionst[1] % 2 ==0 and positionend[0] % 2 !=0 and positionend[1] % 2 ==0: print ("TRUE") if positionst[0] % 2 ==0 and positionst[1] % 2 !=0 and positionend[0] % 2 ==0 and positionend[1] % 2 !=0: print ("TRUE") else: print ("FALSE")

Hello all, I am reaching out for some help, regarding hotkey assigning with my new (to me) blue tooth key board. I recently had a head injury and during this recovery, my eyes are having trouble with looking at distance, so i am forced to re-train my brain to look at distances. anywho, the new bluetooth keyboard is a used Logitech K760, solar powered board. And I'm really liking it a lot. However, because it is really meant for a Mac, there are a couple buttons that don't do their intended function, Ie. the task view and brightness controls (F4, and F6/F7). I looked into getting a hotkey program, but I'm lacking the skill and time to really understand it. Other than those few keys, all of windows hotkeys and etc work just fine. I can easily just ignore the button controls and use the mouse to do everything, but i'd like to know if i can map the three keys to do their function properly. If not, that's okay. Or if there is an easy way i can get it to work well, i can do that with free time i have. However as of now, i cant really look long at my screen. also, because the task view is controlled by the touchpad gesture, is there a way I can map that gesture to the key board? My current update of Win 10 doesn't have the ability to change the gesture to the key. I do have gesture editing, but i can't seem to get it working to do the task I want (task view). I can get something similar to the taskview by useing Win+tab, but i'd like to have that action done by the F4 button on the keyboard. thank you very much! Also, I dont have any code to attach here. sorry

So I've bought a few graphics cards from nvidia - a 780, 1080 ti, and a 1050 bc I needed steady frame rates on my computer, and found they worked kinda perfectly but after drivers version 400 and up somehow microsoft might have said to nvidia that they wanted them to sign their apps through the ms app store, so they did, however in that process, they broke unofficial support for non-HDR 8 monitors. I... having an amva panel saw that the digital vibrancy slider was broken after they switched to the windows 10 store control panel app, maybe to sell more g-sync monitors with official HDR8 and HDR10 capabilities, but the thing is.. this is breaking millions of monitors official capabilities that use AMVA panels and I haven't found a fix for it bc nvidia drivers ship with the slider broken to show grey gamma instead of official pitch black to make people think their displays are inferior to the new ones they keep adding to their g-sync official list. This might be a way to make people buy new stuff but it comes off as shady and my monitor is perfectly fine and their graphics card don't actually run 4k well and im just tired of them deleting my posts on their forum when i talk to them about it, so I will probably switch back to amd and hope this isn't another money making heist like GPP where they forced vendors to be nvidia exclusive only back in 2018 only to be found by LTT to be committing illegal activity against AMD that they weren't aware of. I think this is crappy for everyone that has a current gen nvidia card and a non-hdr monitor and this is prolly also illegal and they definitely should be sued if not Microsoft for causing it, and would like to know what you guys think on this. after v 400 + drivers the digital vibrancy slider has almost no effect.

I don't know exactly where this would fall under exactly. So. Due to the nature of this topic. I need to limit the amount of information I give to you guys because I'm doing this for my love ones. The best I could describe their problem is a "Hollywood hacker" event. Goals: Is there a device/software that can detect a Wifi Blocking device/software? If so, can i identify the serial number or use like a metal detector to find the source of the problem? Without a direct line to the router, is there a method to prevent the Wifi blocker/software from interrupting the wifi signal? I'm aware that I could use a raspberry pi to monitor websites remotely but I'm trying to do more than just see the list of websites visited. I just started finding information today but I could use as much information as you guys can provide because I'm pretty sure I'm facing peeps doing everything they can to find loop holes in the system.

Hi, Can anybody help me? Is there a way to download a software that is only available on steam, without having to download and install steam client? The reason is that, our organization blocks steam so I cannot connect online. I manage to install OpenVPN but somehow I cannot login, it throws an "Cannot login" error. I also tried to search online whether its available somewhere but it seems it's only available on steam. It's not just a regular software, I really need it and I feel like it's required in my life. The software is Wallpaper Engine BTW...

[Today] Apple has silently launched a service program for 13" MacBook Pro models that do not feature the TouchBar. These 13" Macs are one of the only MacBooks, if not the only MacBooks, that still feature removable storage. However, while Apple does not appear to use a proprietary connector with these drives, they are using a proprietary form factor and no 3rd party drives have been created as far as I'm aware. These non-TouchBat MacBook Pros have had quite the bad track record for reliability. All 2016/17 Macs are covered under a keyboard replacement program through Apple, but some 2016 non-TouchBar Macs also had a program for a free battery replacement (a component on the logic board is apparently predisposed to failure which can cause the battery to expand) which also had the upside of doubling as a free keyboard replacement. I have personally only had a issue with the spacebar on my keyboard getting stuck from a small rock which I was able to fix with a piece of paper and compressed air. This service program appears to simply be a firmware update however, and not an actual drive replacement. How a firmware update can prevent a drive from failing or loosing data is beyond me, you would think that the drive firmware would be pretty consistent across all models and not just a select range, but what do I know. Hopefully if a drive has failed Apple is Apple to replace the drive free of charge, anything less would be unacceptable imo. The turn around time should be an hour or less for anyone who makes an appointment at any Apple retail store or AASP. If you own one of these Macs be sure to make a Time Machine Backup and take your machine in for service. I know I still need to get the free battery replacement for my 2016 nTB MBP Source: https://www.apple.com/support/13-inch-macbook-pro-solid-state-drive-service-program/

I got this laptop recently, but I don't know if it's worth it. The fan is loud sometimes and it gets hot easily. I'm planning on using this laptop for college, my program (Computer technology program) will need a laptop. I don't know if this is a good one for it. The laptop has: Intel Core i5-8250U / 256GB SSD / 8GB RAM / Windows 10

I've had my pc for few years now and I'm super slowly building it up (money is very tight since I'm on disability). I just installed 2 new case fans off one header and I'm looking for a good program to adjust fan speeds, monitor temps and get any other info and other specific pc tweaks out of program(s). I'm on a big budget so if anyone knows of a free one then great, especially since I havent even gotten a GPU to replace the APU. If there are no free ones then I'd still like to inquire about the cheaper ones. I think this is my motherboard, I'm not sure though ASUS: A58BM-A/M32BF/DP_MB

I'm looking for a way to emulate Dualshock 4 button presses on my PS4 from my computer without using remote play. I intend to run a macro that grabs a picture of the screen from a capture card, and depending on what it sees it will execute a task, such as pressing a keyboard stroke or moving my mouse. (https://www.jitbit.com/macro-recorder/) I plan to use this as the brains of my operation. However, I need to communicate back to my PS4 with button presses depending on what the macro outputs. It would be a lot simpler if I could use remote play, however I will need it to be able to sign into and log out of accounts, disconnect from the internet, etc. without being disconnected from my computer. I have the solution to how my PS4 will communicate with my computer, but I don't know how my computer can communicate back to the PS4 with the proper button presses. This includes the software/ hardware needed to communicate with the console as well as how I can emulate the button presses. All knowledge, generosity and help is appreciated.

Hi, im not sure if im the only one experiencing this at the moment, but i have a logitech g502 hero that ive had since around christmas time id say. It works perfectly fine and ive never had any issues with it. However the same cannot be said about the progam for it, logitech g hub. For the past week or so every other day i have to re install the program as it just does not show my device is connected to the computer, no matter what USB socket i use. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue/has a more permanent solution for my problem?

So I've got a friend's defective HDD a while back to try and save some files for her, I needed to copy everything to my computer with a Linux Distro (to avoid windows UAC as it was taking forever to take ownership of the files and I feared the HDD would give up before it would finish) and then I waited for her to get her new laptop, she brought it here and I just copied everything to her new laptop from windows through a network share! Thing is, she had the install wizard of a "speed checker" in her files, and Windows defender caught that! I didn't see it, since I was not looking at the computer screen, and, when I finally saw that, all files were already moved and gone from my HDD. Now Windows Defender is constantly telling me it has found an issue and it always says it's that file,"PC-SPEED-UP-SILENT-UPDATER.EXE" that suposedly was in the backup folder I created for her files well that file isn't in my PC anymore, that directory doesn't even exist! But it won't go away! I tied telling Windows Defender to remove it, to allow it,to put it in quarantine, but nothing seems to work! I'm out of ideas here and the notifications are very, very annoying! Did anyone had this problem before? It's been a month I'm trying to get rid of it, but nothing seems to work.
