Since I've decided to apply for some Transcriber jobs I'd like to improve upon my typing skills for potentially more income. Currently I can type about 50WPM not utilizing all my fingers & in the wrong positions too . Simply Googling "free typing program" brings way too many results, I just want something simple & most importantly malware free, any suggestions?

Is there a program that acts like this (roughly). So I want to access a whole bunch of applications and only the icons are shown. I open this program and it is a large folder style thing with a scroll bar (downwards/upwards). I choose a program to launch and I single click it to open it, and right click it for options etc. Sorry this was sort of vague, but does this exist? Thanks

Hello, I need a recommendation for a good and robust hdd cloning program for less than 100 usd (cheaper or free is nice but a more robust program would be worth the cost.). My friend needs his old laptop cloned as the old one has a cracked screen and he needs to preserve his programs for his new laptop. Being able to copy the old installs of the programs and software to the new laptop would be nice, but I do not know how to do that and input on the feasibility of this path would be nice. Okay, so i bought these HyperX cloud headset like a year ago, and they run perfectly, including the microphone that it mutes whenever you lift it up, which is neat Until yesterday, everything was working *fine*, until i downloaded this program named "VoiceMeeter", a program that letted you divide your jacks so you can have discord, music and skype from one jack, and the game sound for the other jack (and stream it with obs) Well that didn't work, because now my microphone has an echo of it's own that persists *EVEN WHEN IT'S LIFTED AND MUTED*, so whenever i speak on discord, if i have loud music from foobar, it echoes in the microphone and everyone hears it, and it's annoying The mute works, because when i lift it, and i hit it with my finger and all, it doesn't register the sound, but it registers every other sound coming from the computer (also my desktop speakers are turned off) So basically i have echo on my microphone that, no matter what i do to the physical microphone, it registers it and everyone on the chat hears it I uninstalled Voicemeeter, uninstalled the audio drivers, restarted, re-installed the audio drivers that i downloaded from the motherboard's company (ASUS, specifically for the B150-A.M2 motherboard), restarted again so i can make sure it's fixed, and it still has the echo. I can turn on the acoustic echo cancellation, but the problem is, since my microphone has echo no matter what, it registers my voice as an echo, and it doesn't register my voice at all because of it. This worked PERFECTLY right before i installed the program, so this VoiceMeeter screwed something up for my microphone and now i can't figure it out why it's causing it. Like the title says, would CPU speed ever be the reason a program would be unable to run? For example, would an i3 ever reach the point where it couldn't run a program whereas a same generation i7 would, albeit slowly? -

I am currently working on an open source school management software called Fedena for a small school in my neighbourhood as a charity. I managed to do most of the tasks but there is a plugin known as Wicked_pdf for generating pdf reports such as fee receipt for the students, which I don't have any idea about. I just have to make a small change in the receipt (if I knew wicked_pdf it would have been butter). Anyone, please help me.

I installed a program to the wrong directory, so I uninstalled it. When I go back to the installshield wizard, My only option are repairing or removing it. I have tried both and they do nothing. I have since gone through both drives in their entirety and deleted every file that could possibly be associated with the program and used the search feature in regedit to delete all remnants of the program. SOMEHOW, the installer still will only allow me to repair or remove, neither of which work. What do i do? -
Hi all, After installing the latest version of app center from gigabyte, and then trying to install Ambient LED for my z1z0 gaming k3 mobo, I get the message "Please update app center to spec 2" halfway through the installation. Thinking i might have downloaded an older version by mistake, I installed app center from my motherboards page and the main gigabyte link, but both seem to be the same version. Installing all the updates through app center itself doesn't resolve the issue either. A quick google search doesn't seem to bring any solutions too. Any Ideas?

Trying to decide which anti virus to go with, any recommendations? I usually stick to Malwarebytes free but plan to buy something that will help with protecting myself.

I have an Iphone, and what I want it to do is to automatically pick up when a certain number calls and dial '6'. I recently moved into a new building that with call box. There is a specif umber for my unit that guest or food delivery dial, i then take the call and press '6' to open. Every Monday and Wednesday from 1 am - 6 am a food delivery is made to my door. These are prepared meals with special dietary needs. This means i have to wake up in the middle of the night twice a week to let him in. No sleep is starting to take a toll on me, pretty much a zombie at work because it takes me a while to go back to sleep. So what i need to to program my phone to recognize the call box number, automatically answer it, dial '6' and end call. There has to be a solution, for my sanity, to this but I'm not even sure where to start searching. Hope I can get some help Thanks in advance -
I am doing a cleanup of my system and i was wondering is it all neccesary to keep all thise visual c++ updates that gathered over the years by many games and other programs. Ok to delete or keep it? Thanks

Hi all, I have a large collection of music that has built up over time and has become cluttered. I've used many different programs over the last couple of years to try and sort the problem of duplicates and things not being tagged correctly and so on. I've used MusicBrains and MetaTogger - both of which are excellent bits of software - but they don't seem to identify everything in my music list (or I don't know how to work them). I could sort through the few hundred songs I have that aren't labelled well at all but I'm too impatient to do that. Though neither of the above programs are able to identify everything, TrackID by Sony is almost always accurate for me. I'd like some sort of on-steroids version of it that would be able to automatically sift through and tag my music, perhaps add the appropriate cover art where needed and maybe even add lyrics. Does it exist? Or has someone built a program that runs on a TrackID API and database? Thanks!

Hey, I'm using an app called WindowShades which lets me dim my monitor. The problem is: the key combination which toggles the app on and off is triple tap 'Esc'.(This is really bad if I play games and have to close multiple menus...) Soo... Do you guys know how to fix it? So I've seen a couple of videos on YouTube with Adobe Premiere Pro open and shows them editing a video in a timelapse, I was just wondering how they work on the timeline without the stuttering with the yellow bar at the top? Is it something to do with how and where Premiere Pro is installed on (eg on SSD for read and write speeds?) I have all my media cache and all that directed to my SSD, along with the video files being on my SSD itself. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem because I'm tired of rendering previews every time I want to preview the timeline after effects have been applied. Thanks in advance, Sean. -
I'm looking for a way for programs to trigger different fan curves. For example, by default all fans should be stopped, and CPU fan at min RPM, when I launch a game the fans would ramp up. Also no, sadly there's no good curve for me. And I don't want to manually turn on fans every time I launch a game. My current "manual way" of turning fans up is putting fan controller on desired speed. As for CPU cooler and one extra fan that didn't fit into fan controller (too many fans) I have to use AI Suite, I mean it kinda works, but at times I forget to put fans back on. In case someone wants to know, I got NH-D15 as my CPU Cooler.

Hi, I'm running low on space for programs on my main SSD which currently has Windows and all my programs. I have another SSD in the system that I used to use for games. Can I just install programs directly onto this drive from now on, or is there some prep work required first?

I've got a 2016 13" MacBook Pro without a TouchBar. The 2016 MacBook Pros are by far the least reliable Macs that Apple has released.....however the consumers haven't been abandoned. Apple has announced 3 separate service programs for my machine. I qualify for a Display, keyboard, and battery replacement. All for free! This essentially replaces everything but the internals of my machine. Meaning I'm essentially getting a free refurbishment. You could say that Apple should never have designed such a "lemon" of a laptop, and you would be right. However, I think you must also commend them for reaching into their pocket (at significant cost to themselves) to make the customer happy. Considering that I'm on summer break, I might just have to go into my local Apple Store and drop my machine off to get serviced. What do you think about Apple and their history of repairing their products when things go wrong? Especially when compared to other brands? -
Hey guys, I have rented a VPS (Linux) right now but I'm kinda confused on how to upload files there and run programs on it. I have a plesk license for free but I don't know how to use it. So I downloaded WinSCP and managed to upload files to the server but couldn't run them. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I play games like fortnite but at a point this happens and it crashes then it would open up the realtek audio manager saying that I inserted an audio jack but I did not and it also lags(?) (the mouse stops at one point then you can move it then it stops again) even after fortnite crashed . Luckily I took a pic of the display glitch before the crash. What could be the problem? Thanks! Hi there, So my story starts yesterday, when I desided to undervolt my CPU to improve thermals on my Asus ROG GL702VI gaming laptop. It worked like a charm and gave me about 15 degrees (Celsius) Improvement. Like many things in live, mankind tries to push it to the limit. And so did I. The system crashed, so I put it back to the point where it was stable again. After that I noticed that my ROG gaming center (bloatware, I know) Did't show me my CPU stats anymore. I tried reinstalling the program several times and changing my CPU settings back to normal. The gaming center isn't that important to me I must say, but I'm searching for a program which (like the gaming center) can show me my CPU, GPU stats and let's me control the fanspeed. My question to you is; Do you know a descent program to replace the gaming center?
