Today I went to my tough book, I log on at least every day. But today something happened, I turned it on and it said configuring updates. so I sat there for about 30 minutes watching the screen, when it said it was done it loaded genuine windows 7 professional, the OS I use every day. But when it booted it showed a blue screen saying my PC was out of date and no longer supported, I know it was discontinued but, still. So I then checked the specs of my PC to see if I could upgrade to windows 10, but the requirements are to much for my pc, so I cant upgrade or it could damage my laptop. I need help asap!

Hello, this is an old problem, but I am reposting since I have not been succesfull in resolving this. So, I have a problem with my M.2 NVMe SSD (GP-GSM2NE3100TNTD (Gigabyte, 1Tb version)) and I hope you guys could help me out. The problem: My M.2 keeps disconnecting and I cannot access the information inside it. Sometimes, when I turn off my PC and disconnect the power cord, and turn my PC on again after that, the M.2 is working correctly. I managed to scan the M.2 with HD Tune -software and it showed no errors on the drive. Also, the M.2 works normally with other computers. Could this be a motherboard issue? I have tested both of my motherboards M.2 slots with no difference. Troubleshooting steps I have taken: 1. New drivers 2. Tested the drive in another computer with no issues 3. Scanned the drive - no errors 4.Tested the drive in all of my mobos M.2 slots, no difference. My PC specs: mobo: Asus ROG STRIX X470-F processor: Ryzen 2700X graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 OC ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB psu: 550W Seasonic Focus+ boot ssd: 500gb Samsung EVO I hope someone could help me or that someone has had the same problem and knows a fix to this. Thanks in advance.

Hello lovely guys from the LTT forum, I have been looking for a solution to this problem everywhere but I ran out of places to look, so you guys are my last hope. I am currently experiencing a lan issue on Aorus Z370 Gaming 5 for about half a year now, where the speed of my wifi chip is significantly faster then the lan chip. Current speed of my provider is 1Gbps down and 50Mbps up, I am getting around 300Mbps down on wifi and around 6-10Mbps on lan. Interesstingly Upload is identicall on lan and wifi. I know that I am using a high quality cat 8 ethernet cable which I recently bought and I also tried reinstalling my network drivers several times. My dad who is on the same network is getting 1Gbps to his pc even through a switch. I also tried every port on my modem, no difference I even tried the switch from my dad to see if it might have some magic built into it , but no luck there. Would be really nice if there might be someone out there who has been experiencing the same issues or has any ideas to solve my issue that I have not come up with.

So... I just figured out why my higher-end phone (than the Alcatel One Touch 5021e) won't play 720p... It was the fault of f*cking VLC... Yes gents, VL f*cking C... I enabled full hardware aceeleration and my vids won't play properly... So I went and said f*ck it and got MXPlayer instead... Now it plays properly... The thing with VLC is that it apparently uses software decoding even if you tell it to use hardware decoding... not sure why... So yeah... don't get VLC for playback and go get MXPlayer instead... -Hermit

Hi, the problem: I replaced my 2060 with a 3060 Ti, now the monitor stays black (no matter which port, even Onboard) and the USB Devices won't run ( no LED), but all fans run normally. I tried to install the GPU in another PC and it runs perfectly. What i already tried: - replaced the RAM - Switched the PSU (700W be Quiet) with the one of the second PC (650W Corsair) - Switched the PCIe Slot - Removed my PCIe Network Card - disconnected all Drives and connected one with a fresh install of Win 11 - Replaced motherboard battery When I disconnected everything and after some failed boot attempts (the Drive with Win11 and the old GPU connected) the PC starts, so i don't think the Motherboard/CPU is the troublemaker. Maybe you have a clue, what I should do now Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

Hi so I had just built a pc today or so my friend who has built pcs before did and when we turned it on the fans and gpu fans spun but when we connected it to a monitor it never posted I am worried as we've called a friend who knows a lot about pcs and gave us his thoughts on it like, Reseating the RAM, putting the cpu back on and putting the fan back on top, booting without graphics card but no dice. I am really beginning to become worried as I spent around $850 USD for most of the parts and all parts are being powered. Can I get some help?

Hey guys, I have a really bad problem at the moment. This is my first time installing/adding more ram to my system and it's becoming a problem. When I placed in my 3 new ram sticks and booted it everything was fine. I played like 6 hours of cod and was just relaxing on discord when my PC got the blue screen with an error code. The first one was QRL error code something like that. I let it reboot on its own and in a matter of 10 mins it did it again with a different code. The process continued with a different code each time. This lead me to trying my ram sticks out one at a time, I started with my original and it didn't crash, and so on to my new set that I bought. They all work by itself. I then added 2 new ones in 2 slots, it is working and has not crashed. My problem is that if they are all 4 in I get the blue error codes, from looking at my ramsticks they are the all the same except for one thing...which makes me think my original one is a old out dated version and the new set I got is an updated version...but the new set all end in 8410C and the old one ends in 8821A. Everything else on it is the same.. G skill F4-2133C15S-8GIS DDR4-2133 CL 15-15-35 1.20V I will insert images of new ram stick and old ram stick, any opinions on the matter? Is having a older version of the same ram stick can cause this? Please help me out cause I thought this was going to be a simple painless process...

Can y'all get Linus to respond about Netgear and the issues with it's WiFi 6 routers? Its been a long time since I've seen people complaining about missing features, firmware update issues and hardware issues and these are going unnoticed for a long time.

Hi All, Specs Windows 10 64-bit i7-4790K ASUS Z87M-PLUS Corsair H100 AIO Corsair CX650 PSU GTX 1070 500GB SSD (Windows installed here) / 1TB HDD. Decided to finally get round to OC'ing my i7-4790K chip that I've had for a couple of years now. This is my first time OC'ing so after watching a few videos I got to work. I ran a Intel XTU stress test right off the bat with the chip clocked at 4.0GHz - I done this to determine the voltage being consumed under full load which I was then going to use as my manual stock voltage, and work from there. It maxed at 1.179V. I set my manual voltage to 1.180V and cranked it up to 4.4GHz (I know 0.4 is a pretty big jump but I've seen these chips easily surpass 4.4GHz). It blue screened & repaired - at this point I reverted the BIOS settings back to stock and it posted into Windows fine from there. I then went back into BIOS and selected the automatic "ASUS Optimal" overclock feature to get some benchmark figures (this automatically OC'd to 4.5GHz), the plan was to then start tweaking the voltages/speeds until it was optimised. I was unable to post to Windows after making these changes. ...and it ends there, ever since then I've been unable to post past the BIOS. See link below link for posting attempt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuGoFGwzCyk Troubleshooting Reset CMOS by removing the battery. I also tried bridging on another attempt. Flashing the BIOS back to 1105 (when I initially installed the CPU I had compatibility issues with 1107 which is recommended version on the ASUS site) Using my old i7 4770 CPU None of the above has worked, any thoughts? Cheers, Jude.

In November of 2019, I built my very first gaming PC with a friend. And it worked amazingly. Or at least as amazing as possible with my shit internet. Anyways...my PC stopped connecting to my wifi. Which I thought was weird, as everything else including my Chromebook and my phone connected just fine. I associated this to maybe a wifi card malfunction. But then I had the idea to test it with my personal hotspot on my phone. Well, it connected just fine to the personal hotspot so it wasn't the wifi card. When I troubleshoot the problem on my PC it says that the wifi I've connected to in the past is out of range. Even though the PC and the router have been in the same places in my house since I got them. I'm truly confused as to what the actual fuck is going on. PLEASE HELP ME.

Hello, I have new pc (3 months old now, problems exist from the begining, but I was waiting for new GPU drivers ): CPU: Ryzen 3600,MOBO: B450 tomahawk max, RAM: 16gb corsair vengeance rgb pro, GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700, PSU: TX650M and M.2 Adata SX8200 Pro. I have problem when I load up a game and within 10 minutes my screen goes green and my pc restarts itself and after that everything is fine. While I am using pc for word/internet/youtube (when there is no big load on gpu) pc behaves normal. I did not do any OC, my temps are good (max 80°C on gpu). I have tried DDU, different HDMI cabel different PCI-E cables and non helped.

Recently I purchased a GTX 1070 off of E-bay for the cool price of $197.00 it is a blower style cooler and has been used so I am not to worried about it's performance. The thing that I am worried about is the Style of card and it's production, I ran GPU-Z and it showed up as a 1070 along with the performance presenting it that way as well. But the SKU, the cooler and even the PCB looks as if it wasn't made by Nvidia yet it clearly was, what do I do? Should I be worried at all?

So I have an Asus gtx 1070ti. Perfectly working for a lot of time. Got my card out of the case to install it in a vertical mount Card was out and the video cables hanging there I noticed that when I touched that outer metal thing from the hdmi or dp and the back side of my case I'm getting shocked They were pretty strong ones. 4-5 times to make sure that wasn't a coincidence. Then changed the connection to another power extension cord that was plugged in another power outlet (only changed 1 out 2 monitors and main pc power) and the shocking was gone for both cables that were plugged in different monitors Now that everything seems normal I tried to see if things are still good after this anomaly. Yea my gpu isn't being detected in all pcie slots, nice what can I say I mean I was aware of static and turned off the pc and put my psu on 0, but plugged 2 or 3 days ago I have redone pc cable management and the high voltage extension cable management It might be cause of an cheap ac adapter That I plugged also recently 2-3 days ago also in that extension cord Yea kinda think I have a dead card that only spins fans like usually did and sparkling the same good old rgb, but it still syncs with asus aura Idk help if you can pls

so instead of buying all new parts i had reused my case and psu from an old dell workstation. not the best call, but you gotta do what you gotta do when money's tight. So im running an apu athlon 200ge, 8gb dual channel memory, 250gb ssd and a 480 psu. Note* while building this thing the power button on the case didnt work, so i had to bypass the switch with a screwdriver everytime*. Installed windows then updated it, noticed it didnt boot up after the update. took out a stick of ram to let it run single channel. BAM, started up, all nice and updated, downloaded the drivers and life was great. Restarted it to put it into xmp, then shut it down to reinstall the second stick. Windows still didnt boot. So I was ready to give up and run 4gb single memory. I wanted to test the one stick of ram if it was faulty so i replaced it with the one that works. tried it, didnt boot, so now i kno its faulty even tho its brand new. so i tossed it aside, put the other ram in but now my screen would go black after windows loading screen. I can still boot to bios, but wont go into windows. PLEASE HELP.

So i recently build a new pc with the parts below and since building it ive had nothing but problems with memory management blue screens and when playing games game just closing down with no crash error but in the event view it comes up with event id 51 "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 during a paging operation." but the only thing i thought it could be would be a fault motherboard or the ram and m.2 all the bios is up to date as well as drivers chipset divers and fresh installed windows to see if that would help i would love to see what everyone thinks it could be.
