Country: Latvia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CSGO, 2-3y old AAA games and light video editing Made a new build suggestion to a friend. Haven't kept up with PC parts that well since around October of last year, a bit out of the loop. This seems ok to you guys? Anything that I've missed? Direct Storage, DLSS and so on. Price on PCPP is irrelevant and not accurate for what he'll be getting quoted for (choice isn't that big from one builder but prices close to local market average, like 0.5% markup and a $125 build fee). I'm merely looking at parts compatability as dude's just looking at one store that will build the PC for him and give a 2 years warranty, of course as long as he's not getting ripped off by paying or a combo that's mismatched. The only sort of thing I can think of is maybe changing the cooler to an AK400 model, save like $20~ but will it be enough for a 13400F? In theory it should but my first exposure to PC's was when both Intel and AMD ran hot so still to this day I want to get like +1 on cooling just in case. Maybe the $20 is worth it if the AK620 also runs quieter while being cooler? Cheers for having a look. Feel free to critique my parts selection skills. Hope I'm not rusty yet.

I was wondering if this prebuilt from Lenovo has good cooling for the CPU. Thank you! (also if you do not mind please guess on what the CPU temp is idle and while in a workload of video editing pretty heavily)

From where I stand if the components are the same or similar the preformance should be pretty much the same as long as there is no software hindering the system. The whole preconsption lots of people have that prebuilt PCs are bad is still something don't understand. I could build a PC I am pretty confident of that as long as I can cut down on my static. I have never onced manually installed Windows and all the drivers it needs to run or the drivers other components need. Let alone set up a Bios from scratch. That is why I rather by a prebuilt.

I have a prebuilt lenovo desktop that i just recently upgraded the ram from 16 to 32gb (corsair vengence 2x16 3200mhz) and now the speeds dropped to 2133 but i dont see a way in the bios to overclock it to 3200, even to 2666 would be better. any help would be great

I dropped my prebuilt with a 3080ti inside. Bent the PCI slot slightly and POSSIBLY the GPU board a hair. The GPU turns on when plugged into both PCI slots but will not allow a display (display doesn’t work with GPU attached even if HDMI cabellé is plugged into the motherboard). The graphics card is a Gigabyte 3080ti. The prebuilt is an iBuypower if that makes any difference. Any suggestions? Obviously desperate here… will take all the help I can get. Thank you in advance for any advice!

Hi! I have been tasked to find a suitable gaming computer for a friend of mine, and that's proving difficult with the lack of availability of rtx 300-series gpus. But here goes, I only found a couple of prebuilt ones including the rtx 3070. It's primary uses are gaming, with games such as Escape from Tarkov, Warzone, Assassin's creed Valhalla and Control being the big ones. One to two 1440p 144Hz will be hooked up to it. Since I don't have to option to configure the specs, I am wondering what your thoughts are about the specs for these prebuilts? I am fairly new to the world of pc building, but I can still see that I maybe wouldn't have bought all of these parts separately. More specifically the CPU cooler, but moreso the PSU. But hey, what do I know. What are your thoughts on the cooler and the psu? Also about the CPUs, will it be possible to overclock them a bit with the coolers included? Hey guys and girls! I recently got myself a OMEN 25L Prebuilt (full specs available here) and as there is two 92mm fans in the system (one being the CPU cooler fan (RGB) and the other being a non-RGB exhaust fan at the back of the case) I was considering adding 2 RGB fans to make my PC run cooler and if possible quieter. My problem here is that, being a prebuilt PC (I had no choice at the time to get myself all the components I wanted to in order to build my first PC because of stocks, so here we are...) I have a proprietary motherboard made by HP, and it seems the only connector available I have on it is a 4-pin connector named "CHFAN" - will this 4-pin connector support a Y-splitter to connect 2 non-RGB fans (if yes, what Y-Splitter would you recommend?) or will it only support a single RGB fan (if yes, how can I set that up so the RGB actually works?)? Would love some help on that!

Since GPU princing is out of control .. I am looking at getting a prebuild. The options I have are below PC 1 Motherboard : MAG B550M BAZOOKA CPU : 5600x Cooler : MAG Coreliquid 240R GPU : MSI 3070 GAMING X TRIO RAM : 2x8GB DDR4 3600Mhz SSD : 970 EVO PLUS 500Gb Case : MAG FORGE 100M Power supply : MSI MPG A850GF PC 2 Motherboard : Asus Z490 (don't know the exact model) CPU : 10700K Cooler : Freezer 34 eSports DUO WHITE GPU : Gigabyte 3070 VISION OC RAM : 2x8GB DDR4 3600Mhz SSD : Some generic 480Gb Case : Aqirys Wezen Power supply : Some Generic 750W The difference between the 2 is 100 Euro, The I7 is a bit cheaper. From all reviews I browsed and looked at, everyone is saying I should go for the 5600x. Between the 2 I think the 10700k is a bit better overall but has a shorter lifespan and upgradeability. PC will mostly be used for 1440p gaming ( I have a 1440p 165hz G-Sync monitor) and some coding ( some VM's ... etc .. not very intensive ) Budget (including currency): 2000 Eur Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Warzone, Dota 2, Cyberpunk etc..

Hello people c: , So I recently bought a pre-built office pc with a Core i5 2400 8gb of ddr3 ram windows 10 pro and a 400 HDD, this PC has a Micro Star ms 7707 motherboard and had a GT 210 installed in it which I swapped out for a AMD Radeon HD 6950 but the card only shows it booting and loading windows and then it just gives weird output flashing screen and so on , this happened/started while installing the drivers for the card and went on after that, so unistalling them should fix it right ? Wrong I tried that and I still got this weird screen flashing . If I put the gt 210 back in it it just works fine . At this point am a bit lost and not exactly sure what to do, so help would be greatly appreciated ! c: I am building this pc for my little sister because she wants to play roblox and minecraft. Following is a Video of the screen flashing ! Weirdpc.mp4

The comments on Reddit were all over the place, thank you for any advice.

Hi there fellow reader. For a few years now, I have my grandpa's old pc. Luckely, it is not as old as he is. It's a prebuilt from 2007, made by Packard Bell. Specifically the Packard Bell iMedia J9250 All in One desktop pc. I am looking to make it a sleeper pc, because of the old ish vibe it gives off. For that, I was roaming the internet to find some specs on the case, but with no good result. So my question to you is if you have owned one, or know someone who owned one, or have a manual or something where some basic specs are listed about the case. I am from the Netherlands, so it could be that the model I have only is sold in the EU or something. Just curious about the rest of the world. Greetings, iWove20

So I was given the choice of picking 4-5 prebuilt machines that have been slightly upgraded already, but I don't know which ones to pick. I need help picking the best ones from the lineup. the choices and spec are below: OPTIPLEX 3040 Processor Type: INTEL CORE I5-6500 / Speed: 3.2 GHz / Memory Speed: 1600 / Memory Type: DDR3 / Size: 8 GB OPTIPLEX 3040 Processor Type: INTEL CORE I5-6500 / Speed: 3.2 GHz / Memory Speed: 1600 / Memory Type: DDR3 / Size: 8 GB ProDesk 400 G3 Processor Type: INTEL CORE I5-6500 / Speed: 3.2 GHz / Memory Speed: 2133 / Memory Type: DDR4 / Size: 8 GB PRODESK 600 G2 MT INTEL CORE I5-6500, Speed: 3.20GHZ, Size: 8 GB, HD Capacity: 1 TB ProDesk 400 G3 INTEL CORE I5-6500 / Speed: 3.2 GHz / Memory Speed: 2133 / Memory Type: DDR4 / Size: 8 GB ProDesk 400 G3 INTEL CORE I5-6500 / Speed: 3.2 GHz / Memory Speed: 2133 / Memory Type: DDR4 / Size: 8 GB IDEACENTRE 700-25ISH INTEL CORE I5-6400 / Speed: 2.7 GHz / Memory Speed: 2133 / Memory Type: DDR4 / Size: 8GB THINKSERVER TS140 INTEL XEON E3-1245 V3 / Speed: 3.40 GHZ / Memory Speed: 12800 / Memory Type: DDR3L / Size: 32GB Lenovo P320 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz / Speed: 4.20GHz / Memory Speed: 2133 / Memory Type: DDR4 / Size: 8 GB THINKSTATION P300 INTEL XEON E3-1241 V3 / Speed: 3.50 GHz / Memory Speed: 1600 / Memory Type: DDR3 / Size: 4 GB These are each of the computers. Some of them do have GPU's but they are fairly old and don't have more than 1GB so they will all be replaced. I was thinking of not using any of the XEONs and only using the i7 and the i5 that are using ddr4. I am also aware that most if not all will need a new PSU to supply enough power for the GPU and everything else. I am trying to purely focus on if the case is good enough to try and building in and if the hardware that's currently in there is worth the work of building in the case and my other hardware. my GPU's I have on hand is nothing newer than just a basic 2gb 1050 (not the Ti) and older. I think I have mostly 970 and 960s on hand

This thing has given me nothing but issues, and I've already been through like 4-5 techs including a manager and none of them have been able to help me get things sorted out. Maybe you guys can? They've swapped out the GPU and ram sticks for me and the computer still continues to shut off randomly. I googled it and it says that this could be because my cpu is over heating but my cpu is water cooled and i've checked the temperatures and they seem to be doing just fine.. The techs had me take the back panel off and take out their "exotic cabling" thing and now it seems like my computer is turning its self off even more frequently. Another thing, when it does turn off the mother board lights continue to flash forever and ever, and the computer will not let me turn it back on (by pressing the power button) until I unplug the machine and wait 5-6 seconds before plugging it back in. Nothing I can find on the internet has helped me figure out what the issue is. I could just be dumb though... I bought this computer back in sept of last year... waited a whole month before it finally got to me in October, and I've had nothing but issues with this computer. It could just be a heating issue but i have both the side panel and the back panel off, with my AC on and the damn thing is still turning its self off. This is so frustrating, throughout this time I've d/ced during numerous ranked games on league, smite etc or dungeons on WoW and elder scrolls, hell, this even cost me and hour of CLASS TIME as one instance, during a zoom call the computer just completely spazzed out and would not let me turn it back on. I've spent 3 grand on this computer and have done nothing but comply with the techs and be patient and here I am with a dysfunctional mess. Sorry if this comes off ranty I just really don't know what else to do..

I’ve been doing some digging after hearing the feedback on the NZXT H1 question I had posted earlier and found this on cyber power pc (I attached a picture). I’m not sure if this would be good or not but it meets pretty much everything I want. It’s around $1500 USD (my budget), it has an RTX 3060 and a 8 core processor, and it’s a small form factor build which I want as I don’t have much space. Though idk about the thermals and the psu, it still looks good. Just wondering what people think and whether I should get it or not. Bit difficult to find cheap small form factor PC’s nowadays lol
-
So yeah, I’m going for a pre build. I know it’s “not the way” but what else can ya do in todays day and age? Anyway I’ve been looking for something small (around the same length and width as an Xbox Series X) and not distracting (minimal RGB lol) and I came across the NZXT H1. For what they offer (despite it being intel and not Ryzen) and the price, it seems pretty respectable and something for me. I have heard about the Riser issue (which should be fixed now) and the Sea Sonic PSU’s not being to great and a fire hazard (don’t know if that’s been fixed yet lol) so I’m not sure if the H1 is still good for today or not. FYI I have like a 4 core pc with a lame GPU so this would be my first ever real pc. Also if anyone has any alternative small form factor pre builds (around $1000 USD) that they can share, that would be nice! thanks!

Hey, I'm looking to buy this desktop for general usage (word/excel/browsing/etc). What do you all think? Is it worth it? Is there any better alternatives?
