Budget (including currency): ~$1,500 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Open world games (RDR2, Elder scrolls, etc) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://nzxt.com/product/starter-pro This is my first gaming computer. I am tempted to get this pre-built due to shortages and my inexperience with computers, but wanted to hear if people think I could make a better build. If so, what parts would you recommend switching out? Where is the best place to get these parts? At this point, it seems like I should settle on a 3060 ti for a budget of $1,500, is this correct or could I get better? Thanks for your help!!

I would like to apologize beforehand for any typos and grammatical errors. Also, since all the pages are in swedish you can find the specs under "specifikationer" tab. Here we have 3 pre-builds: https://www.inet.se/produkt/2219422/asus-rog-strix-g15dk-ryzen-7-16gb-1tb-rtx-3070#specifikationer https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/334998-ASUS-ROG-Strix-GA15-R7-5800X-16GB-1TB-RTX-3070-Win-10?gclid=CjwKCAjwsNiIBhBdEiwAJK4khq1mDLACoK0LtI0B0MRbb4EN7-u7BIjzDQkCyh8HlZn5nnEbinTmZhoCquUQAvD_BwE https://www.netonnet.se/art/gaming/gamingdator/stationar-gamingdator/asus-rog-strix-g15dk-r5800x097t/1019493.12917 Both 1 and 2 have same product number (G15DK-R5800X080T). ROG Website https://rog.asus.com/se/desktops/mid-tower/rog-strix-ga15-series/spec List of problems, unanswered questions and annoying things I've encountered: Both 1 and 2 can be found on ROG website by the product number but I was not able to find the third one. Could not find specs of the 3070 that is in the build. Could not find the clock frequency of the ram on the ROG original website but it is mentioned in the link number one. Should I assume it was tested by the seller ? Why is 1 and 2 3k more expensive than 3 if the only difference in the mentioned specs is the amount of storage. (512gb Samsung 970 pro costs 1590kr | would buy SATA SSD anyway) When you look at the specs on ROGs website it says that it has SO-DIMMs for G15DK-R5800X080T. Site number 1 lists the chipset as the motherboard. There is probably more things out there that I have not noticed yet, but at the same time I don't think I will keep looking because for some reason it makes my blood boil. I have no idea how to conclude this entire post. On one hand pre-build number 3 seems like a steal in comparison to 1 and 2 atm. This is only under the assumption that everything between these two system is the same except the storage. On the other I would really like a new custom build but I know it is not currently possible without overpaying. I guess my 770, 4770k and 8gb of ram will have to suffice for a little longer unless someone can confirm that the pre-build numer 3 is actually worth buying and that the difference between G15DK-R5800X080T and number 3 is indeed just the storage. Let me know what you think. Ty!

Here in lithuania, and like rest of the world demant of the new pc parts is high. The problem i am facing right now is that even older gen parts went up in price, a few months ago r5 3600 was about 180-190eur, now its 247eur. Event more high-end GPU's are just out of stock, not event talking about latest gen products. So buying a pre-built migh be a good option, i wanted to hear some opinios on what everyone thinks. Here is the pre-build 950eur : Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600 (3.6-4.2GHz) 6-Cores/ 12-Threads Motherboard: ASROCK B450M STEEL LEGEND, Extra large aluminum alloy heat sinks, Supreme 12K black capacitors with lifespans of at least 12,000 hours, RAM : G.Skill Aegis 16 GB DDR4 DDR4-3200MHz CL16-18-18-38 1.35V (2x8GB) SSD: Kingston 500GB SSD A2000 M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0x4, R/W 2200/1500 MB/s GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER™ VENTUS GP OC 8GB GDDR6, DisplayPort, HDMI Case: FSP CST311 Micro ATX Case, PSU Deepcool DA series 80 PLUS BRONZE Efficiency up to 87% PSU, Black, 120mm, 600 W Budget (including currency): around 1000eur or below if possible Country: Lithuania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and some light work. Gaming CS:GO, popular esports games, i dont want to worry about throwing to it any game and run at least 1080p 60fps Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am using 2 monitors at the moment (1050p 60hz, 1080p 144hz), also i already have 1TB HDD it would be added to the build. Interested to hear peoples thoughts, cheers!

I'm looking to get a pc and i saw this pre build on Lazada(Alibaba but for south east asia) that goes for $642 with shipping. Can anyone tell me if this is good value? i'll leave a link CPU: RYZEN 5 2600 COOLER: AMD WRAITH STEALTH MOBO: GIGABYTE B450M DS3H RAM: ADATA D41 RGB GREY HEATSINK DDR4 8GB 2666MHZ GPU: ZOTAC OR GALAXNVIDIA GEFORCE® GTX1660 SUPER 6GB GDDR6 SSD: WD GREEN 2.5" 3D NAND 240GB PSU: THERMALTAKE LITEPOWER 550W CASE: AIGO DARKFLASH DLM22 WINDOW FAN: AIGO DR11 DUAL RIING RAINBOW LED FAN 3 PACK (FREE!) OS: MICROSOFT WINDOWS 10 HOME TRIAL(FREE!) WIFI: DLINK DWA-123 (FREE!) https://www.lazada.com.my/products/battlerig-powered-by-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-super-intel-or-ryzen-i511924444-s1284142306.html? I definitely am going to upgrade the storage and maybe the RAM. The only real problem is that the mobo doesn't support 3rd Gen Ryzen chips making upgradeability a bit costly the only annoyance as far as those go is the os although i found a cheap windows 10 key so that should be good

pre-built Looking For Feedback on List of Prebuilts
avrona posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
We are planning on selling our own PCs so we've spending ages trying to make configs that make sense and so we've been going around and asking people in the PC community if our prebuilts are good, well balanced, and have a competitive price? So in your opinion, how is our line-up looking so far? Are they ready yet or are there any changes you would make? And if you need any more explanation for any of it just let me know! -
Hello guys, Im pretty clueless about pc/pc building. So my pc is also a pre-build pc. Now i ran outof ssd storage (i have 240gb, plus 1tb hard disk). I have a m.2 slot on my ASUS prime b360 plus, and ordered a v-nand ssd 970 evo. I thought it would be as easy as turning off my pc, fully, and putting in the ssd strip in the m.2 slot. Then screwing it down to keep it in place, starting up my pc and acknowledging the ssd in the settings @ my pc in files. But i guess im wrong. I put the ssd in my m.2 slot, screwed it down, started my pc after all was in place. And my pc wouldnt boot. It just gave me a critical_service_failed windows message (with the :( smiley), after this (wich didnt last long, maybe 5-10sec) it went to a windows loading screen that said ''prepairing automatic repair''. I was clueless to what to do so i ofcourse started google-ing, couldnt really find a fix for my problem (none i understood at least). So i got into the bios, wich is the first time i have ever been in a bios at all. And looked at booting priority, because a friend suggested my pc might try to boot into the new ssd instead of the one my w10 is on. But this wasnt the case. He said it was like my pc didnt even recognize the ssd at all. Now i know this is a bit messy because i dont really know much about pc's/building pc's. And also english is my 2nd language. If anyone could help me or lead me in the right direction in any way that would be insanely apreciated! I can give more info if you need, just ask. Thanks, Maq/Joost

I was on reddit asking for advice on choosing between a couple of pre-build gaming pc, and a guy said I was better off building my own. I'm not sure if I would be able to build a quality PC for video editing and gaming in a $300 budget. But if I could I would love to, I would need you guys help on what to buy for this though, any help is appreciated. If you guys want to direct me to other quality pre-build computers, fitting my requirements, that would be fine too. These are the PC I was asking for advice in reddit, if you think I could do better then these please tell me. As well if you believe that I should buy one of these and instead improve on them please tell me how, Thank You In Advance. https://offerup.com/item/detail/584916985/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/585229173/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/580799121/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/581380927/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/583596544/

So I just bought a HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cc1xx, as I was running on a budget of 60,000-65,000 INR or 885-960 USD. It has an 1.6 GHz Intel core i5 8th Gen, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB Graphics and 2GB integrated graphics as well. My question is that can it run basic games like PUBG and some free steam games, and will it run long term, how much time can I expect this laptop to run. And as I've noticed it gets heated very fast because it has the most basic cooling because it doesn't even count in gaming laptop, so how will cooling affect the lifetime of the laptop? p.s. can you also explain 1.6GHz I don't understand what it is. thanks

I have been trying to find a very good desktop for gaming and light content creation for a while. I recently got a summer job so I'm hoping to have enough money by the end of July to buy or build something. I was leaning toward building something (since most people seem to have negative opinions about pre-built systems), but then I found this deal: https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16883102269 It seems fairly well priced and I figured the difference between this and building my own PC would only be maybe $50-100, but then I went and built a comparable pc on pcpartpicker and it's actually a little more expensive than buying it prebuilt. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/RadAct1000/saved/m6PwP6 Obviously there are differences. First, when picking parts, I couldn't find the exact parts they were using in the ABS build. I may have overshot the price of some parts or undershot them (probably overshot--I'm assuming the build uses the cheaper options for every part). This also isn't including warranty for the prebuilt system which will add another 100 or so. I'm not sure if the pcpartpicker one has many warranties but I'd get them if they didn't. The newegg one also comes in a bundle which includes a wifi card and a new monitor, $140 total. But the bundle actually drops the price down to 1525 or so, which sweetens the deal that much more. What are are your thoughts/opinions on this? I'm leaning toward the pre-built system, especially since I've never built a system. The reviews have been pretty good for the system too. It just seems like the better deal, even if I don't have the pride of knowing I built it myself. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I've recently been looking to buy an ultrabook, mainly for programming, and virtual machine support. I will every now and then play a game or two at low settings, such as rocket league, or Dota2 The main things i'm looking for are the following: A good CPU - quad core preferred, but this is very rare with ultrabooks so dual core is fine. The better the CPU the happier i'll be 8GB ram (or more) 256GB SSD (or more) Screen size of 13-14" would be ideal. I'd like the resolution to be 1920x1080. If it's more than this, I don't mind, but I feel it's extra cost for very little gain. Since i'll maybe do some light gaming every now and then, I'd like the internal graphics to not be too bad. Intel Iris graphics are usually very good, so if this is possible, this would be great. I should also add I want the machine to be very portable, so I'd like it to not weigh more than 1.75kg. On the lower end of this, such as 1kg-1.5kg is preferable Apart from that, general things like good build quality or good keyboard are appreciated I have a budget of 600-800ish, though the best bang for my buck is definitely the key here I've been looking at a couple of machines such as the zenbook ux303ua, and lenovo yoga 710, but i'm not quite certain - the yoga feels like i'm paying for the 2-in-1 which i won't really use a lot of, the zenbook seems just alright, but if it had Iris graphics i would've preferred that a lot more. What reccomandations do you guys have?

Hi, I am a novice PC build enthusiast from Australia who is looking at getting my first gaming rig. Due to my lack of experience I have decided to outsource the build to a custom PC manufacturer (Scorptec), based in Australia. My parts budget is $3600 but can stretch to $3800 if need be. I've found all the parts for a new computer but want to make sure that all the parts are compatible, and that they aren't 3 or 4 generations out of date. Anyone see anything that doesn't meet those criteria? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Gyf9JV

I will be building my first PC tomorrow (Christmas) and was wondering if it is a worth the time and work to do a "before you put it in your case test". I do have quality parts and would rather not go through the time and hassle of building before putting in case, test, take all apart (remove that thermal paste) and put it in case. please and suggestions, tips, or personal preference thanks here are my pc parts http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dzjB7P
