Hi guys. Let me try get right to the point here. I think I have fried all the ports on my GTX1080Ti. I have never seen this in my entire life. I have been working with PCs almost 20 years now, never seen anything like this. I got this card, it had a stock cooler ( the one like you find on Founders Edition) . I swapped that cooler with my Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo III. Plugged everything in started my PC and than the wierdest things started happening. I got no POST from motherboard but saw from the LEDs in my case that Windows has booted. I get a signal on my monitor but no picture. Of course i tried everything so far. Different ports - still the same Different monitor - still the same Different GPU - everything works normal Different PSU - still the same problem Onboard GPU - Boots normally, everything works And the last part here is why I think I somehow fried ALL of my ports. When I boot into Windows with on-board GPU and the 1080Ti plugged in, I ho to Aida64 and I see there the in board card and the 1080Ti. Please guys if you have any suggestions or anything that could help I would very much appreciate it. Thank you

Hello everyone. Is it possible to change the ports on my Exchange server (Exchange 2013 running on Windows Server 2012 R2) to use another port instead of the default 443? I have found guides on how to change the IIS Outlook Web App website port, but not the actual ExchangeSync port. Does anyone know how to change the Exchange ActiveSync port? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to get openvpn working on 443 tcp. It does work when I connect to the local ip, but when I try to connect to the public ip it doesn't work. I can't connect to the public ip on the local network and other networks.Everything is port forwarded correctly. But on udp 1194 it does work correctly on public/local. When I tried forwarding my esxi for testing if it's maybe a bug that I can't forward 443, it just worked fine. I removed that port forward and recreated the openvpn port forward, but it didn't work. Pictures: (It's dutch)

so the best i can get in my area sadly is satellite internet. not to mention i have 2 gaming pcs set up at the moment and ive been trying to play several games with my friend via lan and could never get connected. now i find out that all of the ports my pc has access to are different than what the other has access to. im not sure why this is or how to fix this issue but im pretty sure its the reason we cant connect to a lan server to play a game. anyone have any input or advice to fixing this?

So, to start things off, I'm relatively new to this problem. I'm a computer science major, so I'm not completely foreign to such happenings to my computer because I'm always doing something to it to make it more personable and faster. I believe the latest windows update has crashed my USB ports for some odd reason and I cannot restore to an earlier point. The reason being that the restore point comes back with an error pertaining to failed to locate restore point. Anyway, the ports work just fine if I do not open an application or program. I started to notice this problem when I launched 2k19. I was playing and all my peripherals just became unresponsive. They where receiving power because my keyboard was still lit, but was not responding to key presses, nor was my mouse or my Xbox one controller. My hub that I have still has power, yet doesn't work. I've tried unplugging and restarting my computer, reinstalling USB drivers, resetting my PC back to factory state and nothing seems to be working... If it helps my motherboard has a PS/2 port that does work conveniently and I so happen to have a mouse and keyboard that works when my USB device won't. I'm at a crossroads here because I use my desktop for more than just gaming. I would be glad to share any information need to help solve my problem. Mine you a restart is a temp fix until an application is opened, then immediately cause my USB to shutdown. They still show up in device manager as normal. Thank you.

So if I understand well, on this MOBO you can't connect an HDD, a 2.5" SSD and an M.2 NVMe all at the same time due to shared bandwidth right???/ I've tried understanding the section that explains this in the manual and also did a long research but couldn't find something specific for noobs like me LOL.

Hi, I'm building my pc and I can see that some of my devices cannot be plugged in the first USB port or first sata port due to cable shape. Is it OK to use Sata port 4 etc and not use any other sata ports before it? - also can I use usb port 2 and not use port 1 as my wraith cooler rgb USB can reach to number 2 only. I hope you get what I mean.

I have just built my first pc, and after turning it on, everything runs... except the ports. This includes the ports on the case itself, and the ports that are on the motherboard. This means that when I connect the hdmi cable from my monitor to my pc nothing happens, the monitor just says "no signal - entering low power mode" and turns off. As far as I can tell, the problem is that the usb ports on the case dont have a cable connecting them to the PSU or the motherboard, and I have no clue what the problem with the motherboard ports is. On the part picker website I used it said the build would require approx. 396 watts. Plz don't go to hard on me, this is my first ever pc build [SPECS] Motherboard - MSI B450M pro-vdh max GPU - MSI Ventus RTX 2070 Tower - Corsair Carbide Series Spec 05 Mid Tower PSU - Corsair CX 450M (450 watts) Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 3600X Edit: There is one very very light scratch on the motherboard next to where the graphics card is, because when I was inserting it, the metal jutting out slightly came over the motherboard. i don't believe that would be enough to ruin the ports though...

Hello there everyone. I'm an IT student working on a side project given to me by my instructor. He wants me to set up a NAS on a switch, that's connected to a router, that's connected to the school's internet via ethernet, which leads to the server room halfway across the school which I have no access to, and he wants to be able to see the contents of the NAS through his computer, which is in the next room, his computer is not connected to the switch or the router, instead it's hooked up directly to the schools internet via ethernet, which again leads to the server room. The NAS I am working with here is a TeraStation 1200 from Buffalo, the Router that I am working with is a TP link ac1900. I am going to explain what I have done so far and what my progress is, I'm sorry if I say something that doesn't seem right or say something that doesn't make sense, again I'm a student and I'm trying my best to learn, I've been stuck on this for a while and being unable to finish it makes me feel pathetic really. So far I managed to get the NAS set up so that everyone that is connected to the Switch/Router can access it by typing in //TS1200DA29 in File Explorer, which is fine and all however that doesn't accomplish what I'm suppose to do, so further looking into the settings I attempted to set up Web Access. If anyone who is following so far wants to take a closer look at the manual for Web Access, click here but basically after setting up a name and key I should be able to access it remotely using http://buffalonas.com/ however instead I get an error saying that it refused to connect. Personally, I believe that it would have to be because of maybe blocked ports. He believes that it must be settings within the NAS (He never took a look at it to prove his point.) I decided to take my gut feeling and dig more into the whole port thing. I looked up plenty of different ports using http://canyouseeme.org/ however all of them were the same result "I could not see your service on xx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port (9000)." So instead of blindingly putting in more ports I instead opened up CMD and used netstat -an to see what ports were maybe open that I could use. I picked the one that was mostly being used, 443, and I plugged it into http://canyouseeme.org/ to see if it was open and well what do you know it's open. So I went into the NAS Web Access settings and changed the "External Port" to 443, I went to the Buffalonas website, typed in the name of the NAS anddddd I landed on a completely different website. Check the pictures for what exactly I mean by that. I'm gonna be assuming I just landed into the schools internet settings or something of the sort. At that point I just packed up by stuff and decided to head out. At this point I'm not really sure what to do really. I was thinking that I might try and go FTP since the NAS supports it, download something like FileZilla onto one of the computers and have it act as a host. I've only seen a few videos about FTP so I don't know much about it besides being a protocol for transferring files and wotnot, however I think it's something worth looking into at least, then again it might just go into a full circle back into the port issue. Finally some notes on some other things that I tried/stuff I wanted to bring to attention. Tried both DHCP and static IP for the NAS, no effect whatsoever. Connected it directly to the router, however this doesn't seem to have any impact because the switch is connected to the router. I have not messed with the router, I don't have the username/password and the instructor forgot it so I'll ask about resetting the router next time I go, he claims port forwarding will not help due to him believing it's not a port issue, and not only that but even if I had access to port forwarding on the router I don't believe it would do any good either, I believe the school's internet itself is to blame, the router and switch is just a personal thing set up for the computers in the classroom to get internet. If anyone would like to give their personal thoughts on the situation that would be nice. If anyone has a suggestion on how I could remotely access the NAS through blocked ports that would be even better. Is this even a port issue to begin with or am I just that bad at this? At this point I'm willing to listen to any ideas, I don't go back to school until Wednesday so for now I would like to gather up ideas I could possibly do and apply them when I go back.

I am planning on buying a B350 tomahawk motherboard which has a lot of USB ports. The cases I have been looking at with few exceptions have 2 USB ports. I know the motherboard connects these ports via the USB headers, but if I want the two USB ports to remain free, for hard-drives etc., how can I connect my mouse and keyboard to the ports on the motherboard? Are there any solutions that don't involve connecting directly to the motherboard?

I have realized that my wan IP is different from my public IP . Is this the reason why port forwarding never works for me? Is there a way to solve this? When I got in touch with my ISP they said that they do not block any ports.

Hi, I am building a workstation for a friend, and he needs two TB3 ports, and I can't find a card that looks like it can support 2 TB3 ports. He already has six TB3 devices, and needs to add another few. He cannot bring the TB3 card he has, as he only has one PCIe slot available. Another thing is that the card cannot be more than $100, unless it is like, $110. I don't know if this is the right forum thread to put it under, but if it is not, please send me to the right one. Thank you

I would like to apologize in advance for the long post, but I've been trying to figure this out for weeks, and I would like to avoid getting suggestions I've already received elsewhere if at all possible. I also apologize if this isn't the place for this kind of post. I've only just joined tonight, so I'm not familiar with everything yet. Problem: So, I've been having an issue for about two months now. It started in Warhammer Vermintide 2, then Overwatch, and now it's starting to happen in more games like Skyrim, though much more often, and to a much higher degree in the first two games. It's almost like lag, but it only affects my mouse, and it's not so much a total loss of function as it is a freeze, or a "stick". For example, in Overwatch, if I'm playing Zenyatta and holding down the left mouse button when the problem happens, I won't be able to move my camera, but the character will continue shooting and automatically reloading until I regain control. Same with Vermintide. It primarily happens in those two games, but it does occasionally happen in some offline and non first-person games as well, but significantly less often, and in those it feels more like game lag than the issue I have in online first-person games. I don't know what the problem is. I've tried mice from logitech, razer, and steelseries, multiple mousepads, and every USB port I have available, and nothing seems to make a difference. I've made sure to keep all the mice's software up to date, along with any drivers they may have had. Details: My current mouse, and the one that I've had the longest is a Logitech G503 Proteus Spectrum. I always keep my PC connected directly to my router via an ethernet port. I don't have anything plugged into my PC except keyboard, mouse, monitor, ethernet, headset, and of course, power. Whenever I play I always have as few applications open as possible. Typically just the game and Discord. If I'm playing Overwatch, I typically leave the battle.net launcher open in the background, unless it's trying to download something, then I let that finish before playing. Very occasionally, I'll have Chrome with a single tab open looping a youtube music playlist, but I've noticed no difference between the times I do and do not have this open. The only other time I have an issue is when I open new windows, my mouse will lag very badly for about 3-15 seconds depending on what I'm opening, but up to this point I've attributed that to my fairly low-mid grade PC parts. I've also never noticed any thermal throttling in either CPU or GPU. In winter my temps hovered around 60C for GPU and now in summer, it's usually around 70C. CPU usually maintains around 40C. PC Information: My PC was purchased from iBuyPower, and as such I don't know every little thing about it, but I do know it's got an Intel Core i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40Hz, on an ASUS ROG STRIX B20G Gaming motherboard, 8 GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti. If anyone has any ideas what might be wrong, I'd be happy to hear them, because it's really starting to affect my gameplay. Any technical terms may need to be clarified, as I'm still very new to PC technology. This is the first PC I've owned in my 25 years of life, and I've only had it since February, so I ask that everyone have patience with me. Thank you all very much for your time. Please read the whole thing before responding as I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now, and I would like to avoid getting the same responses as I've gotten from other groups and people I've talked to. Thank you. I've included the PC specs as listed by iBuyPower, in case there's anything I missed that may be helpful in solving this.

Hello everyone! I have a new built PC, about 2 weeks old and my first one since over 8 years! i use a dual monitor setup and everything worked fine until yesterday when one of my monitors received no signal. i unplugged the cables and restarted the PC, this time neither monitor received a signal.. so i started the troubleshooting process and first eliminated the cables, none other worked. my system was booting correctly and my RAM was glowing (Trident Z RGB) still i proceeded with the 1 ram at a time process etc... long story short: about 8 hours of troubleshooting brought nothing until i was smart enough to try a diffrent port on my monitors! it worked, both had a signal. then i tried to change the port on the GPU aaand... no signal. so right now im confused as to what happend. did something short out my ports on both the GPU and Monitors? could it be a PCI-E problem? im scared to damage more parts, my main monitor was quite expensive and only has 1 DP which doesnt work anymore, some input would be greatly appreciated UPDATE 1: So i changed the PCI-E slot on my MB which actually revived the second HDMI output port! so i can use both monitors through HDMI again, however the DP still doesn't work and my main monitor only has 1 DP input. So i need to buy a second cable since i dont have one to verify that it isnt the cable. But on my other monitor which was running through HDMI at the moment where the problem occured, one of the HDMI ports is dead, its also the one which was used originally, so im left with one HDMI port on that monitor and im afraid that my DP port on my main Monitor died aswell.. what could've caused this to happen?

How come my internet always slows down over a course of 1 week. I have a 4 M/bit line (fastest available in my area) but within a week or quicker, it slows down to 2 or even sub 1. It seems the only solution is to keep phoning my ISP and asking them to do a port reset. What is a port reset and why is it the only thing that can get my speed back to normal?

So I've just built my first PC after spending two years with a terrible laptop. I would always leave the laptop at home (unless I specifically needed it) running FileZilla for when I might need to get some files. It has worked very well. Now that I've got a new PC I've reinstalled FileZilla (using xampp) and set it up (users, SSL, etc.). The problem is that I can't connect to it from any other PC inside or outside my network. I've opened port 21 in firewall, and I use the free version of Avast, so that doesn't have a firewall. If I connect to it from the PC it's running on nothing strange happens, but when I try to connect to it from another PC I can't see anything on either the client or in the server logs regarding a connection. Has anybody got an idea what else might be blocking the port from outside access? By the way, I know it's an issue with the port, because apache (also installed using xampp) works like it should.

So guys iam using Razer Kraken 7.1v2 USB and i have a serious problem. My headphones are disconnecting and reconnecting randomly from my Pc(when i am moving the cable and sometimes whe i do nothing) and idk what t do.Firstly what i did was to connect my headphones to a different USB port.So i connected them to the back but unfortunately it didnt do anything. The problem is that i have my mouse connected to the back and its working fine but when i connect my heapdhones they are making a weird noise and they disconnect/reconnect.So i thought that my headphones could be the problem so i connected them to my PS4.The first thing i did was to mess with the cable but the headphones were working fine.So i am assuming that all of my USB ports are dead since when i connect any USB device i get no message that my USB device is connected but they work fine(except my Headphones). I need help guys i dont know what to do.Its important. P.S SOrry for bad grammaer i am from Greece

so i was reading online on ways to use port forwarding of port 80 and port 443 when the ISP has blocked them. bumped into DDNS which according to what i understood can dodge the restriction by ISP and forward the ports to remote accessing. i added the DDNS to my router and i set up port 80 and 443 to forward to the IP address of my PC. I tried if this port was open using portchecktool.com and the port checker within NO-IP and both of them showed that port 80 and 443 as blocked. i even added these ports to firewall by making inbound rule but it still didnt work. im clueless about what is causing this error and im wondering if my understanding about getting over ISP restriction in DDNS is incorrect. it would be great help if someone can point out if im making a mistake or maybe suggest things to check for further troubleshooting. Thank you
