First things first, I have no idea if I posted this in the right section, as to the fact that I didn't find a section for monitor overclocking. (didn't find anything) Intel has released their probably "last" driver for some certain CPU's, which has finally unlocked their EDID: If you have ANY of the above CPU, then congrats, because even if it's a laptop, you can start experimenting with your screen's refresh rate. And, if, and only if, by any chance you get the ITD working (doesn't work for everybody, even if it states it's compatible): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26504/ It might also work for you. (It should be not be a big one, because I have a couple of ppl using custom high refresh rates, and it's been months and their fine.) Some proof: I've heard some masters of virginity on the internet forced a HP laptop to 180hz without frameskipping. But I think, this is also an achievement. Btw, I had no frameskipping, and absolutely no motion blur or ghosting. In an attempt to stop people under the age of 18 to view pornographic material, the UK government has proposed an ID system for viewing porn online. Each citizen who want to watch porn would get their own ID, which they then have to type in when they want to browse a website which contains porn. There will also be a "great firewall of the UK" which will block websites and attempts to circumvent the ID system. The system will log what porn users view, and the proposal specifies that in order to protect this very sensitive information they will use cryptography (the part of the proposal about how the crypto will work is three sentences long and does not go into any details whatsoever). Anyone who is worried about a potential data leak can rest easy knowing that the proposal outlines such a strong security standard. Before anyone tries to hate on this proposal let me remind you that THIS IS FOR THE CHILDREN! UK politicians are notorious for both being, and protecting pedophiles but let's ignore that for a moment and remember that they just want to protect children. I have an R9 390, and the current experience is terrible. Although 3DMark says that my GPU is adequate for a 390, Cinebench does not because it proves 96 fps when my card should reach 130; I know the cause, but not the solution. Some stutter that is fixed with third party applications, but there is a problem that no one seems to know the answer to: regardless of resolution or settings, I never, NEVER get better or worse FPS. Sounds good, but it isn't because in games such as Far Cry 4 where I dip in the low 50s and mid 40s (which is where my freesync range goes to shit) I cannot dip the settings to get a smooth frame rate. I have an i5 6500, which does NOT bottleneck a 390, 1x8 GB RAM, a Corsair RM650x and good thermals. No it is not due to lack of optimization in games, but a problem with the driver of my card, some sort of power saving feature I can't find. No power save features are turned on in the AMD drivers, or windows C. Panel, the PCI-E slot in C. Panel does not have any power saving features on, and my PSU should be enough. No, I don't use V-Sync, and the wattage profile in the AMD driver is set to 50+, and "Ultra Power Saving" or whatever option is turned off in a third party app. the answer is not obvious, I am sure of that, so I want someone with experience on this. I've tried: Different drivers Downloading a gaming bios for my 390 Re seating RAM Re seating the GPU Using two power cables, not a split 8+6 Overclocking (which causes artifacts) Turning it off and back on again Turning off freesync Updating MOBO Bios Latest Intel driver Uninstalled old drivers Resetting CMOS I can't switch my PCI-E slot to the bottom one since my card is too long, lol. Anybody with similar experiences both on AMD or NVidia that fixed this problem by fiddling with the BIOS or windows settings (I have an Asus mobo btw), but does not require reinstalling windows, or formatting my HDD and SSD (because fuck that shit).

Here's another example of AI that can generate fake videos using machine learning This is creepy. It looks like Elon Musk's warnings about AI not being regulated is real. Google implemented some sort of machine learning to Google Photos to pattern match faces and objects. Say if I search for "Luke Lafreniere" or "Linus Sebastian" on my Google Photos app, it can tell which photos have their faces. I search for Christmas tree, it will show which ones have it. I don't think Google despite their notorious privacy invasions will be nefarious enough to create a fake sex tape of their users but this becomes problematic if the AI described in the OP becomes used in revenge porn. Remember how Facebook is trying to combat revenge porn by sending them nude photos and hashing it to prevent from being sent to other people. Looks like Facebook needs to up their machine learning algorithms further if they're serious in combating revenge porn. Basically with this new AI, anyone can take a normal video of you from YouTube and create short video clips of porn. While it is easy at the moment to spot fake and real sex tapes, the mere fact that many people on Reddit are already self-completing with these AI generated porn clips is already concerning. They also pointed out that you don't need special hardware to do AI porn and all you need is a decent graphics card and processor (probably RX 480 or GTX 1060 and Ryzen 5 1600 or i5-6600) to do this. But the problem is that way too many people are gullible enough to believe everything on the Internet. Someone with a beef or vendetta can use this AI as retaliation. The first victims of these are celebrities. YouTube works fine but that is an installed app. Does pornhub vr just work through the website? Solved: it works with or without pornhub app but you need Chrome and a good internet connection. Best......ever.
