Hi, I recently bought the Corsair m65 ultra wired to play CS:GO and can't for the life of me get the polling rate to go anything above 1000hz without stuttering and causing sudden fps drops when flicking / fast movements. I know that anything above 1000hz is unnecessary and more or less indiscernible to any human however as someone who takes csgo competitively and loves pushing tech to the limit I really want to be able to use the feature. I'll list all my specs etc bellow, any help would be brilliant! CPU : 5900x MOBO : ASUS b550e gaming RAM : Crucial Ballistix RGB white 8GB x 2 x 4 3600mhz cl16 GPU : Gigabyte RTX 2060 (forgot which model, all I know is the cooler was terrible when bought and sounds like a motorbike if the fan curve is set to climb in a very particular way since it hits the shroud due to a bad design XD) (also yh ik this is a rlly unbalanced system but I bought it out of desperation during the gpu crisis and am now broke xD) SSD : Samsung 980 pro 1tb, Samsung 970 evo plus 1tb PSU : Corsair sf750w CPU Cooler : NHd15 Case : Lianli o11 dynamic mini white Fans : Corsair QL140mm white x 2, QL120mm x 7 CS:GO settings : 4:3 stretched 1280 x 960 Full Screen Uber shaders - Enabled Multicore rendering - Enabled Boost player contrast - Enabled Everything as low as possible all bar - anti aliasing x8msaa, texture filtering trilinear Custom view model, cl_bob and crosshair Mouse settings : dpi 400 sensitivity 1.43 1000hz currently Thanks in advance, Lex.

I was just wondering if 500/1000hz polling rate mouse will be beneficial on 75Hz display. Usually I don't play competitive game that much so using an 125hz office mouse never bothered me, But I do see some choppy movement in games when I move the mouse, Though since I'm on 75Hz display can the movement of higher polling rate mouse will make it smoother? here I've recorded a video with fast mouse movement with 125 polling rate Here in this video you can see how the mouse skips and maybe that's why the background feels choppy when I move it fast. There also some video about overclocking mouse polling rates. I've tried that as well on this office mouse. but didn't see any noticeable difference. even though after overclocking it polling rate tester says it's around 1000hz. But to me it feels like same as before, So what's your thought on this, Can getting a high polling rate mouse can make mouse movement perfectly smooth even on 75hz display?

Hi guys, I have been looking for a new mouse for a while as my old M65 buttons are starting to wear out and is becoming quite annoying. I have a Logitech G703 that I use for work and I really like having wireless as it turns out. Yesterday I got an email that Corsair released a new version of the M65 which is also wireless and appears to be a direct competitor to the Logitech G502 Wireless. Let me know what you think! I will list the main specs for each mouse below, as well as some of my comments on them: Logitech G502 Wireless: 25K Sensor (100 - 25,600dpi) Polling Rate: 1000Hz Weight: 114g Max Acceleration: > 40G Max Speed: > 400 IPS 3 Thumb Buttons, 2 Buttons next to left click, 1 Center Buttons, Scroll Wheel center click and tilt. Increase in side buttons is a big plus I feel like. I always wish I had a few more on my M65. Battery: 48 Hrs with lighting, 60 without lighting. Comes with wireless charging pad This seems like a big plus to me. All you have to do is put the mouse on the pad when you are done and you'll never have to worry about battery life. Cpu: Intel I5-8400 When I play cs:go using my Corsair M65 RGB Elite the whole thing is terrible. If I move my mouse ingame, the fps will be about 20-30. This only happens when the polling rate is set to 500Hz or above, when the polling rate is at 250Hz there is less, but still a little, lag. The Cpu and Gpu however don't take a hit when the game is in fullscreen, they are hovering at about 20-40% usage. Does anyone have this problem as well or does anybody now a fix? Thanks in advance

CPU: AMD FX8350 GPU: Asus ROG RX560 4gb oc x2 MB: MSI 990fxa gaming RAM: 16gb Corsair vengeance 2100 (Running 1833 (system won't run higher without crashing. Dunno why)) Mouse: Corsair dark core pro SE Polling Rate higher than 250 is causing lag in game. I never had this issue before, until my computer crashed one day. Had issues with the crash did all basic fixes, (reseating ram, graphics, and CPU) before clearing CMOS via pulling the battery, and putting it back in (none of the previous fixes worked(don't have clear CMOS button)). I was before running the polling rate at either 1000hz or 2000hz, and having no issues prior. Already checked for ICUE for updates, and reset my mouse. Resetting helped a little in that it won't lag as hard at 500hz, but it's still not playable. Are there any fixes that I could use 1000-2000hz again, or at least make 500 viable? 250hz feels way too floaty, and won't run well higher than 5000dpi, and I use like to use 9000-18000 (halfway to max dpi on the mouse). Side note, CPU won't show accurate readings on task manager either. Using ICUE to see CPU load, and temps. Can't see the GHz its using, unless it's actually running at a flat 1.36 at all times, like task manager says. In that case, that's probably the issue, and how would I fix that? Edit: speccy is showing 1400mhz across all cores, so I think that may be the problem, unless I'm missing something. It should be . Might check to see if BIOS needs to update, but I don't think it should. Clocks under load should be 4ghz/4000mhz. Writing this while playing Apex Legends, and attempting to fix. Using Apex as a control, as I can get the immediate result of what I'm doing, and it's something I play often for streaming. For those that I know will point it out. I don't have the money to upgrade my computer to a new platform. I built it just before Ryzen 1 was released, and wasn't doing much research on new releasing parts at the time. Saving money for a house down payment. I got the mouse as a Christmas gift from my brother 2 years ago.

Me and my friend both own the GMMK V1 full size keyboard. While playing a rhythm game we realized that the polling rate seemed off so we tried to investigate further. As far as we can tell using a keyboard inspector tool (https://github.com/mat1jaczyyy/Keyboard-Inspector/releases) our keyboards were running at 62,5hz instead of the advertised 1000hz. We know the software glorious provides allows for changing of the USB report rate, but it doesn't seem to make a difference anyway and i also still don't know if USB report rate is the same as polling rate? I have looked around for a solution but it doesn't seem like there is any. The GMMK Pro seems to suffer from the same issue but that looks like it can be solved with QMK custom firmware, which sadly isn't available for the normal gmmk keyboard. So is there anyone else who have encountered a similar issue and have found a solution for it?

Hello, this is my first post here. I've been getting into first person shooters recently and I've noticed that a mouse with 125hz polling rate feels quite choppy on a 60hz display, and I've seen around that this polling rate can't allways be changed to like 1000hz, but it can allways be downclocked at will. I want to now if there is a way to match my polling rate with my displays refresh rate to see if the choppyness will stop. Mind you, I don't care about input lag, my only goal is to get rid of the stutter and nothing else. My best shot at this was using HIDUSBF, but that program only has 62hz and 31hz on the low profiles and my mouse doesn't work going up 125hz... is there any way to get exactly 60hz?

So I've seen several threads on this topic, but have as yet found neither an explanation or a solution to the problem. TL;DR, when I use a mouse with a high polling rate, both my Mad Catz RAT7 and my Logitech G502 do this, my cpu usage spikes up about 20% and I see enormous drops in framerate for games like Overwatch and PUBG. At times, the CPU spike will even interfere with stuff like discord audio and Youtube video playback. I have gotten the lag issues "mostly" under control by lowering the polling rate of the G502 down to 250Hz, but frankly I'm not happy with this fix as it doesn't address the root issue which is that a single USB device should not be sucking this much life out of a 7700k. If anyone else has had this issue, especially if you've found a solution, please let me know as I would love to be able to run my G502 at 1000Hz or even go back to my old RAT7. (I like the RAT7 more, but I couldn't lower the polling rate of it so I was forced to just buy a new mouse that I knew had variable polling rate) Fixes attempted: updating video and mouse drivers updating mobo drivers lowering polling rate (better performance, but still minor stuttering at 250 and 500Hz) Using potato mouse (performance was perfect but the mouse was sh!te so I'm not sticking with that) Changing motherboard I will take any and all questions you have.

Hey, I have a logitech g403 wireless and there is an option to choose between diffrent polling rates. Is 1000hz worth the 1h reduced battery life? Thanks

I have a Corsair scimat pro rgb and when the polling rate is set to 1000hz i have huge lag spikes , eg on osu! i would go from the capped fps limit of 240fps down to as low as 10 fps if i moved my mouse, tho if i change the polling rate to 125hz everything works fine. Its the same with every game ive played. Ive tried rolling back mouse and nvidia drivers but nothing has helped, the only way i managed to fix it was to uninstall my mouse drivers from device manager and replug my mouse but after reboot the problem came back again.

Hey, What polling rates do you guys use? I can’t decide if I should use 500 or 1000 on my viper ultimate. I know the higher one gives you 1 ms faster response time. What’s your opinion and experience with that? Thanks for the answers ^^

Hi guys! I am having a strange problem here. Hardware: Crosshair VI Hero (WIFI) Ryzen 1700 32GB Corsair RAM ASUS Strix 1080ti 750W Corsair RM750x PSU ASUS Gladius II mouse How it happened: The problem appeared half-way playing PUBG, so no changes were made to the hardware or software. The game suddenly gets very laggy as soon as I move my mouse. Steam fps reports from 60fps down to 1-2 fps if I move the mouse violently. Current Situation: After that I have tried to restart the game, reboot computer, nothing helped, and the problem persists in other programs. For example in heaven bench, the benchmark screen will slow down significantly if I move my mouse while running it. However, the internal counted fps rate count stays good (150-300 depending on scene) It will also make youtube video lag if I move the mouse when playing. If I move my mouse in the task manager window, it will actually freeze the graphs etc and everything is good as soon as I stop moving. General operations appear to be slowed down and there is choppiness here and there. No CPU spike or GPU spike observed when lagging, everything seems to run smoothly expect what is shown to me. CPU benchmarking score was unaffected even if I move the mouse and make the window lag. Solutions tried: Changing mouse did not help, but lower polling rate reduces the significance of the lag. Uninstalling the ASUS ROG driver helped but did not solve the problem (I imagine it lowered the polling rate when there is no ASUS driver) Safe mode does not have the issue, but I also have no driver there so I'm unable to test if it is just unnoticeable or if the problem disappeared Killing all extra process in the task manager down to basics did not help Resetting CMOS did not help Unplugging all peripherals except mouse did not help Gonna try reinstalling windows but I doubt it might be hardware related... Any input is greatly appreciated!!

hey ladys, been having an issue with my touchpad having lots of stutter, after trying many many things (yes like updating drivers, changing ports and even different versions of windows) after testing polling rate which is 125hz for the touch pad i found that it has consistent drops to 62-63 as my g502 @125hz stays around 125hz with no drops. this the problem? faulty touchpad?
