A couple of days ago i was getting on Valorant to play some games with friends and my Valorant was making my pc very slow and laggy while booting up. i thought nothing of it but when i got into a deathmatch my game would go from 75 fps (edit: which i have it capped at) to 10-30 fps very drastically so i could not play. I tried to trouble shoot the best i could and even reset my pc but it is still having the problem. Also the most prominent thing that happens when the frames drop is when i move my mouse(Logitech g pro superlight). Specs AMD ryzen 5 4600h NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 ti 16g of ram 239g of hard drive storage 500g of ssd Please help me a big valorant update is coming out soon and i would really appreciate it. I also have spent $480 on this game and i'm not looking to quit. edit2: I have my polling rate on my mouse set to 500, ive closed all the apps i can without shutting down my pc, all the settings are on low.

Budget (including currency): $2500 Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: csgo, halo mcc, gta, apex, Minecraft, rainbow six siege, for honor, adobe programs, and streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is a parts list I made for a friend, I have tried to take everything that he wants to do into accounts so i have tried to choose the best for temps, speed and other stuff. Please let me know if there is anything I should change or keep. He set the budget at $2500 however in the list I have not put a gpu in, so take that into account. he will most likely get a 30 series card. Here is the list!! https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Sampsonia/saved/86cL99

My rig ---------------------------- Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor NZXT Kraken X73 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Asus MAXIMUS IX APEX EATX LGA1151 Motherboard ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Western Digital Blue 250 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive TX-M Series™ TX850M — 850 Watt 80 Plus® Gold Certified PSU Asus ROG strix 1060 6 gb Microsoft Windows 11 Pro OEM 64-bit LG 34UM65 34.0" 2560x1080 60 Hz Monitor ------------------------------------------- So I had the above build working number one for many years now. Now this week I have purchased a ROG RTX 3050 and now the issues have started. So at first I would loose display and the video card fans would speed up like crazy. I would have to reboot to get display once more. After some investigation I noticed the power cable was a bit loose thus I fix that issues by replunging it. Now I will still loose picture and pc looks frozen (mouse wont move before I loose picture) but the fans on the 3050 wont spin like crazy anymore. If I wait about one minute display will come back like nothing happened. 3050 are still hard to find so If I return it I will loose it until store has another one(Canada computers). Thus I'm hesitant to return it or even believe its defective. So this is the steps I took to try to pin point the issue cause: -Reinstall NVidia clean drivers -Uninstall Asus AI suite -Move the switch from performance to quite on the 3050 -Clear CMOS -Reset bios -I had a silly Lian Li 8 Pin GPU Power Strimer - Show Yourself - 30 cm [8+8 pin] so I removed it since i was convinced it would be that https://www.amazon.ca/Lian-Strimer-RGB-PSU-Cable/dp/B07H4V2ZKF/ref=asc_df_B07FCLJYVH/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292954324246&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14599527512424384792&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1002661&hvtargid=pla-560399597413&th=1 -Stopped wallpaper engine (live wallpaper app) - I also have a small 5 inch monitor to display my speeds and temps. Now unplugged And I still having the issue Only thing I could see possible if that my pc is not fully compatible with windows 11 (don't think its that) My power supply is 850w but does not like the new video card(if that is even possible) This same pc was working fine with my 1060 Please help

Specs: Mainboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite x570 CPU: ryzen 9 3900xt Ram: Crucial Ballistix weiß DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, GPU 1070Nvidia PSU: be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER11 CM 1000W My issue is that the Pc wont post. I checked all the cables and everything is spinning and on all Power cables are connected. I also tried putting only one Ram stick in and changing its location but nothing helped. I think that it could be because of the CPU. But it also can be the Mainboard because, the system turns on by the Power switch but it is just not possible to turn the system off with the off switch. I dont know what to do. The Mainboard has a Qflash function so I will try that tomorow but does anyone have other ideas to fix the problem. Or can i somehow find out what cause of theese problems is? Ps: now I installed the newest bios the problem is still there.

To whomever is reading this, thank you. I built a new gaming pc with an ASUS ROG Z490-E gaming motherboard, i7-10700k. My understanding is that the gigabit adapter supports up to 2.5 gigabit ethernet speeds. well im only getting around 350 speeds. At first I thought it must be my ISP. After several hours of talking to them, nothing. I didnt have any other device to test with a gigabit port until now, I just finished rebuilding my wifes pc and her pc gets the full gig speed. So now im pulling my hair wondering why this very expensive pc isnt giving me what its supposed to. I tried manually setting it to full duplex gigabit mode, and nothing. its the same exact ethernet cable that worked on my wifes pc so I know it isnt the cable. Im really hoping someone can help me solve this issue because it has truly been frustrating to say the least. I will try to respond to any comments as soon as I can. Thank you for any future help or attempted help.

Budget (including currency): 200/220 GBP Country: England Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p 60Hz gaming maybe some streaming occasionally Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): current setup CPU - intel i5 3350p CPU cooler - Cooler master hyper 212 Evo GPU - GTX 960 Motherboard - ASUS ???? PSU - EVGA 700w RAM - 8gb ddr3 256gb SSD 2x 500 GB HDD i have around 200GBP to upgrade my PC as i have been having issues with a lot of games, i have been looking at getting a Ryzen 3300x and a b450 motherboard along with 8gb of ddr4 ram (should come in just above my budget) But the 3300x has been out of stock everywhere for a while now and no one seems to even have estimated delivery dates of more stock. going up to a Ryzen 3600 is way out of my current budget and the chance to save further is unlikely due to Children and living costs etc. Is there a different/better option within my budget? and is dropping down to a Ryzen 3100 going to make a huge difference as i could possibly squeeze in more RAM within my budget?? Any help would be amazing guys :)

I need to choose between two monitors... specifically: 2x Acer ED320QRP 32" 165Hz Gaming Monitors https://www.evetech.co.za/acer-ed320qrp-165hz-gaming-monitor/best-deal/8377.aspx 2x LG 27GL650F-B 27" FHD Gaming Monitohs https://www.evetech.co.za/lg-27gl650f-b-144hz-gaming-monitor/best-deal/7615.aspx Both cost exactly the same amount. The differences that I am worried about are as follows: The acer is 32" whereas the LG is 27" The acer is curved whereas the LG is flat The Acer does not support HDR whereas the LG does The Acer does not have an IPS panel whereas the LG does The Acer is 166Hz whereas the LG is 144Hz The Acer supports Freesync whereas LG supports G-sync (I have an Nvidia GPU) The Acer has 5ms response time whereas LG has 1ms I am very much conflicted over which to buy, and I need to make a choice between these two. Any and all help is very much aplreciated

Hello all, I have a Asus RTX 2060 that faulted on me after only 1 year. It was a good card and I'd like to donate it to learn what happened. I've heard of baking, but I'd rather let the experts kill it for science than me because I'm stupid. Lol please someone get in contact with me, if you fix it it's yours!

Budget (including currency): about 650usd Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light gaming, eSports and just excel and light editing practice. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have a processor which is i3 12100F that I bought for 115usd. A Gigabyte H610 H motherboard because I can't really afford to buy a MSI B660-A for now. And a sapphire rx 570 4gb which my friend sold to me for 120usd. I'm trying to build my first pc. I was hoping to ask for opinions for a good ram (have a reputable brand and relatively cheap). Same for the SSD. I was hoping for 1 m.2 and 1 SATA SSD. Hope anyone can help me.

I use my laptop for gaming (ew a gaming laptop, I know I know, its not my favorite either, but it works, and I'm on a budget so what can you do) and previously had a second monitor that had only 60Hz refresh rate, i recently purchased a newer monitor capable of going 240Hz, however when I set the refresh rate to 240Hz my screen goes black and the returns to 144Hz which I have set it to while I troubleshoot. if it helps the exact monitor is the AOC C27G2Z (https://us.aoc.com/en-US/gaming/products/monitors/c27g2z) while 144Hz is outstanding compared to 60Hz and I cant understand how I used 60Hz before, I would like to be able to use the full potential of the monitor

Okay so here am I again, Linus tech tips rarely lets me down so heres one for the real "nerds", I am making VRchat worlds in Unity, so, you need to use "VRchat SDK" in order to make proper builds in unity in which can be uploaded to the game okay, I am using Unity version 2019.4.31f1 as required by VRchat to make these builds, In Unity there is a bar at the top labeled "VRchat SDK" and when you click on it there are a certain number of menu options you get, one of those is "control panel" so my issue is multiple options including the one mentioned are gone, the SDK got "corrupted" maybe? I don't know what you would call it but as I was building my project the SDK just got all, half empty. I can provide more screenshots if needed but I think this console log indicates the problem, I just can't read it. Please if you know anything but certainly if you are familiar with "VRchat SDK" let me know what the issue is and why did the my SDK become unusable?

Hi there, thank you for looking. I’m suffering a no post following a failed BIOS update. So I’m running a ASU’s ROGSTRIX B450F Gaming motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600, I’ve just purchased a 5600X, installed it but stupidly didn’t think to check the bios compatibility before installing so just got no post, so swapped back for the 3609, launched straight into bios from startup and started a BIOS update on a USB drive I made on my laptop, unfortunately it failed about 50% of the way through possibly due to a power issue as light flickered and tv went off (I know I know UPS). So since then I have no post at all, switch it on, everything lights up and fans ramp up and stay there but no POST at all. I have a yellow light on QLed which suggests DRAM but I’ve taken all but one of my RAM out and reseated the one I have left. I have inserted the thumb drive into every ISB port and started the machine as supposedly it has a “CRASHFREE Bios flash” but no nothing, just turns on and stays on and nothing else no Post. I’ve taken out the CMOS for ten minutes or so, touched the CLRTC pins and again, still nothing. I’m really really upset that I may have bricked a mother board but surely there should be a way to fix this? I can’t find online the location of the BIOS chip not can I figure it out so please any help or advice really appreciated.

Model: Zephyrus G14 (2020) Specs: Ryzen 4900hs, 2060 Max-Q (notebook), 24gb 3200mhz I used to be able to run Fortnite on medium graphics at ~120fps... now I can't even run the lowest possible settings at a consistent 120fps. From what I can tell, it seems like thermal issues... but no matter what I try, they persist. I've repasted the laptop once and dusted it out plenty of times with little to no improvement. Does there happen to be any settings that I should adjust through Armoury Crate, NVIDIA Control Panel, etc. that'll help with this? *here's my latest 3dMark Time Spy benchmark score
