Hey guys, I need some help getting my PC to boot up for the first time. I have finally finished setting everything up, and when I press the power, all LEDs and fans turn on. The CPU light flashed red and stopped, but I am currently stuck on a solid yellow DRAM light. I waited ~20 min and still just a yellow light, so I tried reseating the RAM and waiting again but still just the light. I then tried 1 stick of ram in the A2 slot and it POSTed, but then I tried 2 again and it did not work. Now not even 1 stick of RAM works. Can anyone provide me with a list of things I can try? Here are my parts: CPU: Intel i7 13700k Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer 360 Rev II Mobo: Asus ROG STRIX Z790-H RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta 32 GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 Storage: TEAMGROUP MP44L 2 TB GPU: 7900 XT Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow PSU: Corsair RM1000x 2023

Budget (including currency): 1.5k -2k AUD: Approx 1.8k - Only would do 2k if really had to but not that comfortable with the idea Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, 3D Modelling I'm struggling to find the best type of motherboard with wifi/adapter that is more on the budget side because I'm not sure how the motherboards without the wifi adapter work. This was my original plan but with peripherals it's starting to get too expensive however I need to keep the i7 Intel or something with equal performance. Here's what I originally planned but the motherboard does not have a wifi antenna: Any suggestions that make the build cheaper and more proficient will be greatly appreciated. CPU: Intel Core i7-12700KF 3.6 GHz 12-Core Processor ($354.62 @ Amazon Australia) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler ($50.00 @ Scorptec) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690M Aorus Elite DDR4 Motherboard ($229.00 @ PCCaseGear) -- Still need antenna or something - to make it easier would rather wifi adapter included. Hi everyone, I'm facing an issue with my video editing project. When I try to use Color Key to remove a white background from my videos, the project only utilizes the CPU for processing, bypassing the GPU. I've attempted various approaches using different effects and methods, but unfortunately, the results haven't matched the desired outcome that Color Key delivers. Therefore, using Color Key is essential for my workflow. However, whenever I activate the effect, the timeline color indicator shifts from yellow to red, which suggests CPU utilization rather than the GPU. I'd appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have on how to enable GPU acceleration for Color Key. Thanks in advance for your help! - - Exporting Lossless 4k HDR 60fps 1 hour long video: without Color Key, takes only 20-30mins. with Color Key, takes 4-5hrs. - My PC Specs: Ryzen 9 7950x3d RTX 4090 Corsair Dominator Titanium 2x24 7200MHz

I just installed the 7900xtx, so far so good, except for when im playing rocket league. Every minute or so it completely stops for half a second, and fps goes to 14, until its stable 300 again. (Sometimes there are stutters in other games, similar to this, but never as extreme) I used to have similar drops with my last gpu (5700xt), but not this severe. Does anyone have any idea what could help? Ive tried reformatting windows and updating drivers, but nothing seems to work. PC specs: GPU: 7900xtx CPU: 5800x3d MOBO: rog 450 F gaming PSU: 750W gold, dont remember the type (pretty new, should be good) RAM: TridentZ 16GB 3200MHz I cant see anything being wrong when i have HWmonitor open during the stutters, wattage is around 300-400 max and nothing is going 100%. Ive attached images of the ingame graph if that helps, sometimes the GPU graph spikes, sometimes it doesnt. ANY help would be appreciated very much

Hello! I’m upgrading my GPU from a Tuf Gaming 4gb 6500 xt, but I haven’t quite decided what to upgrade to. My plan is to buy a gpu that can handle 2k at >144 hz. current system: Ryzen 7 5800x Asus Prime x570 Pro Tuf Gaming 6500xt 4gb 32 gb Corsair vengeance 550 watt PSU 1TB Samsung 980 Evo Pro 240mm Radiator for CPU cooling 3 Corsair fans Corsair 4000D Airflow RGB There are a few GPUs that I’ve found on Ebay (I’m buying open box/refurbished). Attached are their names and prices. Please feel free to give me your opinion, or if you find a better GPU, here are some loose requirements: Price: <450 USD w/ shipping VRAM: >= 12 gb RGB: minimum, rgb is a nuisance to control. Thank you for any consideration and feedback! Edit: Also need to upgrade PSU, budget is 200 USD, any recommendations? Narrowed down to the 3 6800xt cards.

Hello, forum I currently have a problem with my new PC, which is running single 16 GB RAM Stick (new ones on the way), because the other stick was seemingly a bad stick. (read below for long explanation) The PC as stated has 16 GB 5600 MHz in it currently, but i have an issue of it using so much RAM. Out of the 16 GB, its almost always at 90% utilisation or around 15GB usage. But i dont understand how thats possible when i cant find the cause. I found windows to be using in the systems eyes 30-40% of my RAM, but that aparently in systems eyes translates to 800-1500 MB???? The PC works, but games has understandebly been affected by the PC deepthroating it self with RAM... I could really use some assistence. Although i am hoping its gonna be fixed with new RAM. Full story: So TDLR. I wasted so much time and efford. troubleshooting MB when RAM was most likely the only issue. But now my PC is eating ram like it was candy and there was no tomorrow.

Hello guys. It's time to buy new monitor but I'm not really into that market so I'm begging for help. GPU: RTX 3060 I am looking for: 24-25 inch IPS panel, 240hz(or more if it's worth it), low input lag and low motion blur. I do play often competitive games like CS or LoL but single player games are no exception. I've got a few models I'm thinking about: MSI Oculux NXG253R(~530$) Alienware AW2523HF(~480$) Dell S2522HG(~302$) Samsung Odyssey G40B(~314$) (ViewSonic XG2431 unavailable sadly) Obviously I'm looking for the best price/value ratio. I'm questioning myself if 360hz is worth that additional money. Worth noticing is that in one store there is MSI G274QPF QD on sale for 410$ but I'm not really into 27 inch screens because I'm afraid that my GPU won't be able to handle new games even at 60hz. Anyways I will appreciate any help and recommendations that can help me choosing or finding the right one.

Hi all, long time lurker, first time posting. So, I'm poor like nearly everyone else, & I had to do my new PC build in two parts; I basically built the entire PC w/o the GPU because I didn't have the funds yet. Everything posted beautifully, even the rgb, but when I finally got my new GPU today, the PC wouldn't post. There isn't even a decoding light on the mobo. So I initially thought I'd joggled something loose, but as I went down the checklist, everything was in place. Since there's no debugging light, I assumed it was a PSU issue & when I started digging around I noticed that a metal insulator on the PSU/CPU cable is missing. This has to be the issue right? I don't think it's just a sensor, but then why was it running fine before the GPU installation? I'm perplexed. This was a hard fought for day, & it's turning out to be very disappointing. Since the PC was fine before, this was the last thing I expected after the build went so smoothly. Anyway, that's my story. I probably am using some wrong terminology, so feel free to correct me. Any advice on how to move forward is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi guys - hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction as to what I am most likely to require in order to fix my monitor. I was playing games last night, when the monitor suddenly stopped outputting an image and just showed a full black screen. The backlight was still active (and still works), but it will not output an image. It won't even display the start-up logo for the monitor itself when turned on, or the options menu built into the monitor. I've tried power cycling it, but have had zero luck. Having looked at parts on eBay and identifying the available spares as the main board, power board and controls board, I'm assuming I need to replace the main board as the power to the monitor seems to work without issue, and the controls board is just buttons. If anyone has any advice as to how I might diagnose which part I need, or if there are other parts I should investigate too, it would be greatly appreciated - I don't want to order £150 worth of non-returnable spare parts when £30 would do! Thanks in advance

I finish my build and tried plugging it in. When I tried starting it then it stayed on for about 10 minutes, everything running then just suddenly shit off without actually booting. Now when I try to turn it on it does this, just flicks on, then off. All the fans are still running but nother else is. I've tried turning the PSU off, unplugging the cable, but nothing changes this. Please help

I got a refurbished 16TB IronWolf Pro HDD from serverpartdeals on eBay. I have noticed a lot of clunking noise and I'm worried the drive is faulty. I don't have a lot of experience with HDD sounds so I can't be sure if there is a problem. CrystalDiskInfo shows no issues. The drive is operating as my Plex server so I think its possible that the noise is just from accessing lots of different files at once. Could you listen to this and tell me if I need to return this drive? IMG_2559 Compress.mp4

So I had bought a Thermaltake Tower 900 because it has these features: Has a BluRay disc Bay (5.25 inch drive bay) has glass and is closed has vertical GPU mount its so huge its very flashy BUT amazon (UPS?) has so far destroyed 2 during shipping, resulting in returns. So I think its too big for amazon (UPS?) to handle. So could anyone please help me with another flashy case that has the drive and glass and vertical GPU? I'm not gonna liquid cool with a custom loop, but I do have a 3 fan Closed loop cooler. and my gpu is a 4090 so... yeah. gonna need space but not as much as the TTT900. I've been looking for a while but really I can't find cases that look as good as the TTT900 with a disc bay. they either all look horrible, or have no glass, or are open (like the awesome looking cougar cases but sadly, dust is a huge problem for me). I currently have a Corsair Obsidian 750D, but it is too serious and the front doesn't show off very well... also it houses my old pc and I would prefer to leave it there. I unfortunately live where I can't buy pc cases unless its online and it ships to Mexico. Oh and it's super important DHL delivers, UPS sucks and Fedex is even worse. USPS will result in my package being stolen by mexican authorities at any border or customs (I speak from experience).

when loading into or start playing games like GoW, Forza5, Cyberpunk, Apex. it either freezes my computer really badly or crashes the game with no error report on all games. (Runs minecraft with shaders and does everything else normally just fine) Os - Windows 11 pro 64 bit Cpu - 12600k MoBo - Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 ATX LGA1700 Ram - Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB DDR4-4400 cl19 Gpu - Msi RTX 3060 Ventus 3x 12g Oc Psu - Corsair RM850x I have been having this issue for over 2 weeks after just building new pc, have tried reinstalling Gpu drivers (tried ddu too), restarting, reseating everything, monitoring clock speeds and temps (HWiNFO64,Tech power up GPU Z) , swapping out ram, lowering ram clock, checking game file integrity on steam, Gpu driver up to date (13.0.15.2756) and motherboard bios (2204) and windows is currently up do date. Also running all the games as administrator did not work. Also plugging pc into the wall and not into an extension cord. didn't work. Restarting Gpu with keyboard short cuts. I am pretty cautious of what I go on, on my web browser and am confident I don't have a virus. What I mean when it "crashes really badly" is I cannot move my mouse and everything on my pc freezes, I have tried waiting but the only thing that works is holding down the power button. when it crashes normally I usually have to wait till cursor is turned into a blue circle and close program. Either or happens, it doesn't matter what settings I have on the game they happen completely randomly. Cinebench multi core, speeds are around 16600 Msi Kombuster, Gpu temps are around 52c and crashed one time about 10 minuets in. All other times it works just fine. When looking at the crash reports in cyber punk is says Gpu crash for unknown reason. I always have Spotify, Logitech g hub, fan control v141(fancontrol.releases by rem0o on github.(installed after problems)), running in the background. it doesn't matter one bit if all of those are turned off the problems will still consist. I did have the problem with DOOM but it started working one random afternoon of changing nothing with the pc. I have been told by best buy geek squad that with all that he heard it sounds like a corrupt file. I'm going to visit geek squad tomorrow and waste a lot of money just for them to scam me, but its all that I have left to try.

I am cloning my boot HDD to a new SSD, from what I can see you have to pay to clone partitions and can only clone disk for free. Can I clone the disk and then install Windows on the SSD from a USB and then put in my product key? And then format the HDD as a back up drive. Would this cause any issues etc? Thanks

Budget (including currency): £1100 Country: Northern Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Battlefield 2042, PUBG First I'll post a link to my potential build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/nczk3y . I can get the graphics card for around £300 pre owned on ebay so that will cut cost alot. I followed alot of tips but upgraded some of my own ideas. I'd be wanting to get high fps (100+), play on high settings and sometimes on 4k. I'd maybe Stream someday but it's not a priority right now. The main thing I am curious about is, is the motherboard good enough? Also would the Intel alternate of my build be better and, or cheaper?. I will be starting to buy in January when there will hopefully be sales. Also I will be buying from a few different places as it will be cheaper. Any help would be seriously appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello all, I have a Asus RTX 2060 that faulted on me after only 1 year. It was a good card and I'd like to donate it to learn what happened. I've heard of baking, but I'd rather let the experts kill it for science than me because I'm stupid. Lol please someone get in contact with me, if you fix it it's yours!
