Im helping a cousin of mine overseas to upgrade his PC and i could use some help regarding GPU reccomendations as his current build is quite old. Budget: MYR 500 (roughly a $USD 105 at time of post) Current Build: CPU: Intel Core i5 4440 GPU: GTX 1050 2GB RAM: 18GB ddr3 1333mhz (4GB-4GB-2GB-8GB) MOBO: Intel c226 motherboard Storage: 128ssd (most prolly upgrading it to 256) 500gb HDD Case: HP Z230 (will be changing soon) PSU: 450-500w Notes: He plans on upgrading to either 11th Gen intel i5/i7 or a Ryzen 5 1600 in the near future Im buying the GPU in Malaysia so it would be helpful if i get some reccomendations according to the specific market here. He plans on using it mostly for gaming I'm advising him to to go with AMD since his upgrade path on the AM4 platform would be more easier. Any help is much appreciated.

Budget: $2500 Disclaimer: English is not my first language. I'm a software engineer and video editor. I've been researching PC parts for the past few months, so I'm not 100% confident in my knowledge. So, I'm looking for the best CPU and GPU combo for this price. I'm looking at the 4080 to play RTX 1440p High Settings. The programs I'm building are CPU-intensive, so I went for a 14700k, which goes well with the 4080. I am also looking for fast Ram, so I picked up the G-Skill 7800 mhz CL36. I have picked up a good AIO, so I will be able to do some mild overclocking, but nothing over the top. I've been getting warnings that my RAM is not supported because the: "DDR5-7800 CL36 Memory operating voltage of 1.45 V exceeds the Intel Raptor Lake Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1350 mv+5% (1417.5 mv). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1350 mv voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum." I also got a warning about my GPU being too big for the case, but I think it's fine. Are these warnings legit? Do you guys have any more recommendations for my part list? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N8XNz6

Budget (including currency): $3,000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Zbrush, Autodesk Maya, various Adobe programs, Substance Painter and Designer, Unreal Engine 4. It is going to be used for primarily 3D modeling and rendering, as well as animation and VR and environment design in Unreal Engine 4. Might use it for some gaming, but mostly for large projects. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm looking to build this hopefully in a few months. I know there is a mess with GPUs right now, I'm not in a rush and I'm mostly in a planning stage, and I might start picking up things now like the case. I'm currently using an Alienware 17 R5 laptop, intel core i9 @ 2.9 GHz, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 graphics card. I'm looking for something that will keep a cooler cpu, and has lots of storage. I'm new to PC building this will be my first, and I'm excited to learn and get advice. EDIT: With graphics cards still being hard to find. What are the overall thoughts and reviews around purchasing a pre-made CORSAIR ( Like this https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Systems/CORSAIR-VENGEANCE-i7200-Series-Gaming-PC/p/CS-9050007-NA#tab-faqs) Do they have decent turn around from order to delivery? Would this leave me open to upgrading parts like the CPU or GPU individually in the future? What are the thoughts around these?

I am in the prosess of building a PC with parts shown above. This is a bit late as I have already ordered all the parts in this list from one place, but since there is a wait on RTX 3070, there is time to change my order if necessary. I want CUDA-support, since it's more efficient than OpenCL in the applications I plan to run, so this basically rules out AMD GPUs. What are your opinions on this build? What do you think about the quality of the components? Will it be reasonably "future proof"? Some comments regarding the incompatibility warnings in the list: - The site from which I ordered the parts, says that the motherboard is ready for 3rd gen. Ryzen. - The RAMs are low enough to fit under the cooler according to the same site. - Do you think that the cpu cooler really requires a mounting adapter to fit the Asus PRIME B550-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard? I am also planning to try out (moderate) overclocking, and I have heard that the motherboard in the list doesn't have very good VRMs. Do you have any suggestions whether I should change the motherboard? I want a reliable motherboard with decent VRMs and heatsinks, and with features similar to the board in the list. I am not sure if I am willing to pay a lot extra for an X570-board (entry-level X570 are within budget). The motherboard shouldn't cost much more than the ASUS PRIME B550 Plus, since I have already stretched the budget a bit, but a few bucks more is OK. I have no preferences regarding the make of motherboard, but a reputable brand is preferable. I haven't skimped on the fans because I'd like the PC to run cool and quiet. This is probably not going to be the cheapest RTX 3070-based PC around.

Hi guys. I'm moving countries and because of this I've decided to strip down my current build. Only shipping my RTX 2070 and memory, instead of shipping the whole PC. Should I keep my i7-8700 for another 1 to 2 years? Or should I upgrade to an AMD 5000 series. I'm also hoping to upgrade my GPU when prices go down in the next year or so. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Budget (including currency): R11000 (ZAR) Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mid-range gaming and recording content as well as occasional streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need everything from the case to whatever is in the case as well as a monitor, this is my first gaming pc so I'm not upgrading, I have my mouse and keyboard already, I know that I want an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, I want a hybrid SSD/M.2 for speed and performance. Storage for HDD must be 1 Terabyte. As for graphics (NVIDIA or Radeon) I would like something that is worth its money, looking at my budget I need something that gives me great graphics but also is kept inside of my budget. And the case, as long as it holds everything properly with no spacing problems, and has a glass panel I'll take it. Everything that I left out is what I need help on, if someone can make a list for me meeting my requirements, giving me what I need to fill in the gaps in this article with the sites linked to buy it, as well as the pricing for each component and is heading under my budget I will highly appreciate it. Alternatively I would have just jumped on some sort of pc building site that gives me everything, but I want the community's opinion on what is truly the best to get. Please give me as many options as you can since I am quite a picky person.

This is not included in the budget. Hi, super excited to build a web-development PC for office. Please advice the best bang-for-buck while keeping future-proofing in mind. Here's what I have been thinking: Opt. 1: 12100k with no dGPU Opt. 2: 3300x + GT1030 Opt. 3: 12100F + GT1030 Opt. 4: Ryzen 4650G > Please ignore these options if they don't make sense. Idk how will I connect 3 monitors without a dGPU. 16 GB RAM will be sufficient for now. DDR4 or DDR5? (I am not a monster, I open at most 5 tabs of chrome at a time) Suggestion for a motherboard & PSU? Case suggestions? For storage: Going with intel gives me the option to use Optane. I don't need much storage. I'll prefer speed over capacity. 2.5G LAN will be a nice to have. Not necessary at all. Will my workload benefit from more cores? Any full-stack developers? Thank you.

Here is what I was able to slap together so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hN3wBc CPU and GPU choice is final, need advice with remaining parts that best compliment the CPU and GPU. I need the new build to have a T3 port for my Caldigit TS3+ thunderbolt hub. So far I am leaning towards a Thunderbolt 3 PCIe card, as opposed to a motherboard with T3 ports, to save some money. If there is a good motherboard that suits the build and has a T3 port please link. Could also use some advice on water vs air cooling. I have only built air cooled systems before, but as long as water cooling is not significantly more expensive, I am willing to try it. Case recommendations are welcome. I am looking for a glass panel case, with good IO in front 1. Budget & Location Budget: Flexible. I don't need the best components, but don't want to miss out on good features. Location: Latvia, EU. amazon.de is an acceptable place to purchase parts for me. 2. Aim Gaming: - Sim racing: Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, Dirt Rally 2.0 - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Assissins Creed series - Rocket League - Horizon Zero Dawn Occasional streaming: Sim racing (1080p streaming is acceptable) Occasional video editing: dashcam and action cam footage, OBS stream footage editing 3. Monitors Main: 3440x1440p 21:9 100Hz Secondary: 1920x1200 16:10 Planned secondary upgrade: 2560x1440p 16:9 4. Peripherals No peripherals or OS required 5. Why are you upgrading? Very CPU-intensive games are starting to throttle and freeze. More demanding GPU games require more than 4GB of VRAM. 6. Current rig specifications: CPU: Intel i5-3570K 3.4GHz, overclocked to 4.3GHz GPU: Asus GeForce GTX Strix 970 4GB Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX RAM: 16GB (2x8GB)
