Hey guys, I need ur opinions and be aware that Im from Europe, so I only deal with Euro (€) and not Dollars ($). I wanna buy a new Smartphone, Im coming from a Samsung S4 that util today was amazing taking low light photos, even if there are greater models, today still manages to beat some Android and iOS phones... ofc Now that he is dead, I need another one. I to alote Instagram publish, taking Photos at any time of the day, winter time I take more low light then day light photos ofc... I don´t play much... I do use more apps and camera then otherwise. I DON´T wanna iOS. I know that on Canada and US are more Apple friendly, I respect that, I do like iOS but there are overpriced and I can´t spend money on a Apple... All over, I watched more then 50 reviews... here in Portugal, u can get a Samsung S7 for 500€ or 580€ for a Samsung S7 Edge. A LG V10 for example costs about 480€. So, my main question here is: WHAT Smartphone should I buy taking in consideration for what I use... Photos (at any conditions) and Apps (Instagram and so one...)? What phone has the best Camera overall? -
Fellow Techies, I am getting pissed. I am trying to get a bid for work done but my Samsung S7 (not edge) keeps f^ckin# with me! It's pissing me off. I take photos (mostly from the lock-screen where you swipe from the bottom right corner) and it doesn't freaking save the photos. This has happened before but not twice in a row (separated by about an hour between photos). Other photos were taken and saved but not two that are needed really badly. I saw the photos in the thumbnail on the bottom of the screen after they were taken. WTF!?! How can I stop this from happening again? Now I have to make special trips which will cost me time and gas.

So i took this picture from my phone and I want to download a higher resolution image of it. I tried searching by doing the drag and drop to google search and also google lens, but instead of giving me the exact image it gave me related images to that category. I would appreciate if you could let me know of some steps to try out or a relevant tool to do the search to download a quality image of it. Thanks

So my Internet was sluggish for some reason, and couldn't load photos as I was trying to view an Instagram page. Then I noticed this "weird" text behind the said photos. I have used my master MS Paint skills to edit out the person's information for obvious reasons. Text (in Greek) translates as follows: 1. Picture may contain: 1 person, close up. 2. Picture may contain: one or more persons and people sitting. 3. Picture may contain: 1 person 4. Picture may contain: 1 person, (sun)glasses. 5. Picture may contain: text. I found it weird and interesting. Maybe something to do with Instagram's algorithm to recognize what's in a picture?

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my home printer from a $60 Canon from a couple years ago. I am getting a new job that i will likely need to use a (2 side scanner, 2 side color printer, wireless connectivity, and fax would be nice to have), however i am getting into photography as a hobby and i'm looking for something that will be able to produce good quality color prints. I've looked around the internet, but most of the printer reviews are really generic, and the specs for printers on manufacturer sites are also very generic, still acting like WiFi is a new feature. I guess i'm looking for recommendations for an all around great printer for business printing and high quality photo printing.

I need help with this, I have solved many windows problems by digging the internet but this is something new for me and i haven't found much people on the internet with this. What happened = i was using a public computer where i took some important pictures that i needed, i wasn't fully sure if there was going to be any virus on the computer and after i came home plugged my pen drive in and found additional files on it with the pictures, i tried to open a unknown file and it spit up a .txt file so seeing this i grabbed one picture i needed and formatted my pen drive. I opened the picture and a random file appears on the desktop with a title that i remember, a title of a folder i deleted. Now every time i open pictures the folder creates it self even after i delete it. i can edit the title and it would come back with the same title. I scanned it with avast but it says its not a virus. i don't have any recovery of my drives so I'm cornered. -
I'm trying to fix a Oneplus X as it has been having storage problems, they don't support SD card as internal storage, and it's only got about 12GB of internal, which is annoying. (This is a secondary issue) I want to factory reset the phone, but I need to retain SMS and phone call logs if possible. I know that there is a app for backing up these, But, the main issue is, I can no longer install any apps to the phone as the Google Play store app has gone rogue. It's not in the app drawer or the apps list in settings. FYI: Android 6.0.1 9.94GB used of 11.54GB And, it's also getting this error everywhere (See attached)

Since I had started using Google Photos since last month with the unlimited high quality photo storage, I was wondering if Google backs up 1080p 60fps video as well without compressing it to 30fps...? -
I have OneDrive gallery backup turned on on my Galaxy S20, for some reason the folder on OneDrive is smaller than on my phone. I have checked and all the albums are backed up so that is not the reason. Are the backups lower quality? And if so how can I change it to the original quality.

I have a huawei p20 pro and a p30 (non pro). I recentlt switched to my p30 and transferred all the photos from my p20 pro to my p30. In my p30, the photos are all in order in my gallery, but once i try to open the gallery from like discord or instagram, the photos are in the complete wrong order. I have tried clearing the instagram/discord cache, reinstalling but none of them fixed my problem. Any solution? Thanks.

Am I ok to move images around in these photos folders. I have transferred photos from old phones and each time it creates a different camera folder. And if I do move the photos around, will it update on the cloud backup to onedrive or do I have to move the photos around on there. I would like all camera folders to be merged together if possible.

So I may get a Galaxy S9 and Im wondering if you can change the default gallery app to be Google Photos rather than Samsungs "Gallery" app. Like when I take photos I want them to automatically save to Google Photos and when I download an image or video from the internet I want them to be in Google Photos.

Good day LTT! I've run into an issue with the photos app on Windows 10 with video creation and export. When trying to export an 11:53 video, by clicking the "export or share", it will process all the way to 100%, then say "Something Went Wrong" "We Couldn't Save Your Video". This happens with all 3 "size" options. Not really sure if there is a way to save the project from there. I know there aren't any space issues, as the destination drive has over 200GB of free space. I know this is a common issue, based on threads on the Microsoft forums, but I couldn't find any solution other than use a different app. System specs are in my signature, but the i5-6500 and 16 GB of DDR4 shouldn't be an issue. I am running Windows 10 Pro 1803, OS build 17134.228. Please let me know if there is anything that I should try or if more information is required. Thank you in advance! -
is there a video, if not could you do a video on how to archive photos and videos for on a consumer (not prosumer as you guys are) level? i mean how to create a system that works + backup solutions? please don't over complicate it. you could include an overview of how you do it, but i'm more interested on how should someone do it who has loads of pictures from years back and recently a lot of gopro and other footage.... so i just want to keep them organized and have a backup solution to them. if there already is one (a video made by linus), please could someone give me a link to it? thanks.

What is a quick and easy way to access files of a NAS (preferably Freenas, but its not a big Deal if some of the software cost a bit of money) from any device (IOS, Windows, OSX) and not only inside the home network but also across the internet. A Nice way of viewing photos is also very important (folders, slideshows etc.) and the NAS software should preferably also have some features like SSD caching and RAID support.

I have recently developed an interest in photography and my friend let me play with her canon DSLR the other day and I just thought I would upload the pictures I took in the hopes of receiving advice, I would ask her for advice but she is really just an amateur who uses the DSLR for her Instagram, sorry for the photo quality but they were sent to me through facebook because I didn't have my own SD Card on the day and of course Facebook horribly compresses images. And some of them were just blurry anyway due to lack of tripod and/or shaky hands.

had the unfortunate opportunity to have to re-seat my CPU. Got some sweet pics of my 5820k I never took before I initially installed it. X99-UD4 needs to be RMA'd, but man does the 5820k look good in pictures. idc if you use these pictures anywhere, just credit me. anyone have any idea who I can contact at Intel to give them these pictures? I dont use twiiter or facebook.

Hi everyone, For my new build I have chosen an arctic theme so dark blue/black with white accents. For the case in my build I have chosen the Fractal Design Define R5, however I have spotted they do a titanium version as well with a somewhat shiny metallic front panel, using google image search I can't really find any good shots of builds with this case. Would any of you be so kind (if you have one) to take some photo's for me, I would love to see what it actually looks like with a build in it and especially the shinyness of the front panel. Thanks in advance.

I have finally decided to organise all of my photos and videos. I currently have a 2TB external hard drive and it is dedicated to footage storage. Currently, I have a massive list of randomly named folders with random junk inside. I really need a file system for photos and videos so that they are organised and I can find anything when I want to. Does anyone have a solid, working files ystem that I could use?

Just the question above. I saw that Google will no longer support Picasa photo viewer as of the beginning of May this year. I feel kinda bad because i really liked using it. Google now recommends me to switch to Google Photos and I was wondering how many of you use it as a storage for your personal pictures? -
Hows it going everyone? I am current in the process of building my new PC and I am struggling to find decent monitors that are not super expensive. I would prefer to pay no more then $450 (each). I would like a 2560x1440p monitor instead of a 1920x1080 or 4K monitor. I do not feel 4K is needed nor do I really want it. Also the price is out the roof. I don't really want a 1080p monitor because of the fact that they have been around a long time and going for something a little bit more fresh and beautiful. I am an entry level software developer, play games, edit video, work in photo shop and much more, so, I need something that can handle it all and look great. I will be buying two of these monitors so that is why my budget is set around $450 (hopefully). For all who are wondering, I am picking myself up a EVGA GeForce GTA 980 Ti SC+ Gaming ACX 2.0+ to run these beasts. I would prefer nothing larger then 27 inches being that I need to buy a mount for both because I will not be able to use the regular stands on my desk. Though I will be gaming sometimes, but not all the time, 144Hz vs. 60Hz is not my largest concern unless the majority can explain why I want 144Hz. Overall, I am looking for a beautiful set of multitasking monitors. If someone knows of a good multitasking 21:9 monitor thats ultra wide but around $900, let me know also. I must be able to put multiple large windows around the same screen though for productivity. I really appreciate any help when looking for a good set of monitors. Thank you, Dylan.

I currently have an HTPC with the photos of all my liffe and my father's life. I also have an external USB drive with a copy. My mother is really paranoic with the data and wants something specific for safe storing so I'm thinking on giving some backup solution as a present. What's safer? Nas Raid 1 with 2 black HD Nas Raid 1 with 2 ssd Any other option?, any specific nas?
