To preface I've never actually owned a flight stick before, so this is an environment completely new to me. So on to the actual topic: I plan on getting a flight stick around the time Star Citizen releases so I can take advantage of the VR headset I also hope to buy around that point in time, so does anyone who actually knows flight sticks for under/close to 100$ that are good for someone like myself? I can probably exceed that budget if absolutely necessary, but as I said, I have literally no idea how to judge quality of these things.

What Keyboard does linus use on a daily basis? I saw him mention it in this vid: but I don't know how to spell it. I'm looking for a good backlit mechanical keyboard with programmable buttons because my old mac keyboard really just annoys me, and because linus mentions his keyboard, I wanted to see if I like his. (btw I'm using my mac keyboard on my windows gaming pc)

Hay everyone, I am looking for the best mouse for Christmas. I know the word "best" is objective, but I want to know what you think would be the best fit for my usage. I would predominantly use this mouse for FPS games like Borderlands(classic, 2, and Pre-sequel), and Bioshock. I also like to play real time strategy games like Sid Meyer's Civilization. I also play Dota, Portal, and Dishonored. Just to give you an idea of my play style as I know different mice are better for different games. I want a mouse that is responsive and will last a long time. I am willing to spend as $70-80 on this mouse. Thank you so much in advance!

I first saw this concept through a video by Luke. It is a controller that is realistic, innovative, and will be ready around the same time as Oculus VR. This controller will be one, if not the best, controller for Oculus VR in the near future. Kickstarter Announcement Video Kickstarter Page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1781631932/mad-genius-precision-motion-gaming-any-console-any?ref=category I am just hoping to promote their kickstarter. It ends November 15, 2014. I hope that this project gets off the ground. Thanks. -177

Tesoro joins the RGB wars with its brand new mechanical keyboard the Excalibur. It features the "new" hotness in peripherals, 16.8 million RGB back-lighting! Other prominent features include NKRO over USB, 512 kB on-board memory so all your settings travel with you and mechanical switches (appears to be Kailh based) in Blue, Brown, Red and Black flavors. It is available right now for $120. For more information, visit the product page: http://www.tesorotec.com/gaming-keyboard/tesoro-excalibur-rgb-g7nfl-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html What I like about Tesoro's offering over other RGB mechanical keyboards is its subdued design. It is not too gamery like the others. I still wouldn't waste money on some disco lights, though.

Coller master released a new type of key switch! Other companies have released replications of a cherry MX switch, but this is different Its supposed to be a hybrid between a cherry MX swtich and a traditional membrane switch. Seems interesting. I watched Jay's two Cents video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yben72B_eWQ He says it's a lot like reds but a much smoother press. I don't like reds too much but I really wanna try these. Also, the key switches are backwards compatible with cherry mx switches, whitch is awesome if you have customized cherry mx keycap. Will be interesting to see how it does. Hope Linus reviews them soon!

Hi guys, Yesterday my Logitech G19 died on me after just 2 months, so I contacted Amazon for a warranty replacement. They told me they have none in stock so they are just giving me a refund when the receive the keyboard back. So now's I have the opportunity to buy a keyboard again, I'm thinking of going mechanical, more specifically, the QPAD MK-80. I've never owned a mechanical keyboard before but have used them, and I quite like the feel from what short experience I have had with them. My question is, are the QPAD keyboards decent? The MK-80 is £5 cheaper than the £90 paid for the G19 so is ideal for the price range I'm aiming for, as I can't go over that price. I'm quite a fan of the cherry blue switches too, so if there are any other keyboards out there that utilise those within the price range, I'm open to suggestions. I do quite like the look of the QPAD MK-80 right now though. Cheers.

I have a friend who is legally deaf, and wanting to find a PC speaker system that might play nicely with his hearing aids. He's currently using a pair of Astro A40s, though his selection was mostly based on comfort and control at the time of purchase. He says audio provided by the A40s is good enough for him to enjoy music and talk over Skype, but he's wanting a speaker solution when he feels like taking them off. I know speakers will never capture the quality and direct sound as headsets in most cases, but... With this in mind... Higher frequencies he doesn't do too well with as the audio becomes incredibly indistinct and starts to blend. Bass, however, he can hear fine. Lower frequencies seem to not muddy up for him. Another example would be; When I speak he can understand me very easily. When my girlfriend speaks to him, he has a hard time distinguishing her voice apart from other people. For these kind of details... I'm at a complete loss on what to recommend, if there really is much of a difference at all within this price range or any price range. Familiarity is out the window with me on this one. I'm mostly looking at 2.1 sound systems that have somewhat directional speakers with an inline bass and treble controller. Any recommendations for anything like any of this? Appreciate any and all answers, everyone. Thanks a ton, fam! - Ape EDIT: Thanks, Dizmo. Anything $200-ish or less. My bad, completely overlooked that detail.

Right now as for peripherals I have the Razer Naga Epic and the Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2013. I have grown to have gotten displeased with both and want to get something new... preferably not Razer. I have tried the Deathadder and neither mouse has wowed me and I want to get something like the Corsair M65. In a mouse I want large DPI because I like a decently sensitive mouse and a nice piece of software to change things in. RIght now I am looking into the Corsair M65 but would like for some more suggestions. Also as far as light goes, I would like RGB but white would be nice because It can really go with anything. As for a keyboard goes, I would like to wait for the Corsair fully RGB led backlit keyboard which looks like it is going to be absolutely amazing but dont know about the release date for it so if anybody know let me know. For the switches, something like the blues minus the noise so probably browns because of late night gaming sessions. Thanks for you guys replies and appreciate all the help/suggestions that I get. Would also like suggestions for a new headset, I currently have the Razer Kraken Pro This \/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a new mechanical keyboard but I can't find one I really like. I use Cherry MX Browns, want dedicated media keys (not just volume controls but play/pause, back and forward as well) and Red/White/No backlight. Do any of you guys know anything that I might have missed? Thanks

Imo the top two companies for peripherals. I love corsair keyboards with raised keys and my func ms3 is great. I'm starting to see func as a baby corsair with a great product in multiple categories. What are your favourite peripheral brands and why?

Which brand is your mouse/keyboard? Answer in the poll. EDIT: Edited poll.

So I recently got a 75W Sony SAWMSP7 Active Subwoofer and it worked fine at first but I went to turn it on the next morning and it makes the bass sound when I turn it up whether there is actually something being input or not. I have it sitting right next to my PC under my desk (as there is no other place for either of them) and the subwoofer before this which was much smaller and older did the same thing eventually as well. I'm realising it is not the subwoofer but something else since they both did the same exact thing. I did a little bit of research but all I seem to be finding is that there is a problem with the ground or 'ground loop'. I don't really know what I would do about a problem with either of these things. Thank you.

Which are the best cherry mx brown keyboards on the market?

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap mouse that works good in Most RTS games, I was thinking about getting the Razer Taipan but lots of people have been saying not to go with razer for a number of things and the mouse isn't cheap ($80). I'm not looking for a lot of buttons ether, all i want is some thing awesome and cheap but I don't think I have had enough mouse experience to make a good decision... I'd like to keep the price around or under $65ish. Thank you.

So as I said i'm looking for a steering wheel for about 50€, I know it's not much, but i'm not a hardcore racing gamer. What would you recommend?

Hi, I am going to buy a new mouse soon, and I'm wondering which of these mice is the best for me. I am an MMO, FPS and MOBA gamer, I usually dont have many buttons to click but it would ease my life a lot while playing, maybe not so much in FPS games, but in MOBA and MMO it's a real liftoff. Games I play: WoW, SCII, D3, TF2, LoL, CS:S, CoD, and other RPG games. I'm thinking the Hex but maybe sometime in my life I'd need more buttons than the Razer Naga Hex can offer?

I'm currently using a CM Storm trigger with cherry MX blues at home for gaming, but I need something I can take to school with me. I'm sick of typing on awful membrane keyboards that we have there. I have a few ideas but here's my prerequisites. Exclusively for typing long periods of time, barely any gaming whatsoever. I'll use my CM Storm Trigger for that. Nothing flashy, it's for school and professional use. Quiet(ish), tactile response. Probably going to be going with MX browns if I get a board with cherry switches. Tenkeyless, I need it to fit in my backpack. If not tenkeyless, It would need to still be under 16 inches or so. Nothing 60% as I hate the tiny space bars. Removable cord preferably, but not necessary. Needs to last practically forever. PBT Keycaps would be fantastic, but I can't seem to find ANYTHING in stock anywhere. For now, let's say that pricing is out of the question. I'm realistically trying to stay under $200 but I might go over that if it's really worth it. I know it's a rather tight list of requirements, but if I'm going to be spending this much on a board that I'll be using at least 4 days a week for the next few years (and even more after that once I get a job in the field) I want it to be exactly what I need. So I was looking at a few boards, and I'm looking for some advice from people with more experience in keyboards than I, and some opinions on possible alternatives. 1. Topre realforce 87u. I like the PBT caps, but I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the Topre switches. From what I understand it's like a hybrid brown/membrane switch, if you will. I really hate the feel of membrane keys, but it's the lack of tactile feedback from them that I dislike. I've never typed on a Topre but I just continuously hear amazing things about them. I tend to bottom out my keys anyhow out of gaming habits (although I'm trying to stop doing so, I hate the sound of the plastic hitting the board) so I feel as if I would like the Topre. The only downside is while I'm not looking looking for something flashy, this thing is just unbelievably ugly. I can get over this though if the experience is really worth it. The price is a bit much, but I may be able to get over that too. 2. Ducky Shine 3 TKL. What I really want is the Ducky Pro TKL with PBT caps in all white. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere in the world not sold out. If anybody can tell me otherwise, PLEASE let me know. I'll pay a premium for this board. It has all the features I want and I LOVE the aesthetic. The Shine 3 TKL is my alternative that I was considering. It has the majority of the features I want, albeit a lack of PBT caps. I was considering one in white LEDs as that's not too flashy, and they can be turned off when needed. I've heard both extremely good and extremely bad things about ducky though. Hopefully somebody can back up either side. 3. Filco Ninja Majestouch 2. I've heard nothing but magnificent things about Filco and their boards. From what I've read and people have told me, Filco boards are some of the best in the world. I really like the aesthetic of the front printed keycaps, but the only downside is the only place I can find this currently is Amazon and while i'd happily pay $160 for it, I don't want to pay the $70 of shipping that also comes with it. As of right now my choice is the Ducky Shine 3 TKL, mainly because of the price and availability. I don't want to just "settle" for something if I can help it. I know I'll be happy with the shine 3, but I feel as if there is a better option out there, as I feel as if I'm compromising on a few things I really desire. Any advice or feedback on any of the aforementioned boards would be greatly appreciated, as would assistance as to where I could purchase any of the above. Especially that ducky pro with PBT in browns. It just looks so gorgeous Keep in mind I am in the USA for pricing and shipping.
