Hello all, randomly when playing games, browsing the web, even just using discord my computer seems to freeze for about 1-10s, it disconnects everything currently connected to my pc via usb and then reconnects them and I un-freeze. If I am playing a game the game doesn't even crash, and after the 1-10s I can just continue playing like it never happened. It seems to trigger quite often when someone joins or leaves my discord channel but I think that could be just a big coincidence as that doesn't really make any sense. I've tried using event viewer to source the issue, and discovered every time I freeze I get a Kernel Event Tracing error id 28. I think this may just be due to the fact that when I freeze my peripherals disconnect then reconnect , but every time I plug in my ASTRO A50's and my Hyper X Quadcast S I get those errors. Not sure if those errors could cause the freeze in the first place though. Seems to happen about only once a day not sure if i can remember if it's happened more than once in a day and I use my computer for hours upon hours everyday. Any help appreciated been dealing with this pretty much ever since I built the PC and I can't take it anymore. My specs: GPU : Asus Strix 3080 CPU : i9 13900k MOBO : Asus z790-e RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 64gb 6400mhz PSU : Corsair Shift Series 1000W NVME(s) : Corsair MP 600 and Corsair MP 600 PRO XT OS : Win 10 Pro I have tried upgrading my PSU from 850w to 1000w didn't fix it. I have tried upgrading my RAM from 32gb 6000mhz to 64gb 6400mhz didn't fix it. I have tried upgrading my MOBO from asus z690e to asus z790e didn't fix it. I have tried doing a complete clean install of windows (formatting the drive it was originally installed on and reinstalling with a USB) didn't fix it. I have tried replacing the A50's and Quadcast with brand new ones, didn't fix it. I have tried going into Power Management and turning off USB Selective Suspend, also went into device manager and made every single device that had the option of not allowing the pc to turn it off unchecked. I have tried updating bios to most current one, didn't fix it. Please someone help still not resolved as of 11/10/23

Hi, I have a problem with my mouse Razer DeathAdder V3 (DAV3), while connected to a PC it won't boot to the windows. When I start the PC it will load the MB logo with single short beep, as usual, but it freezes for up to about 15 seconds and then it goes to black screen. When I start PC without mouse plugged in it will work just fine. I tried other USB ports and also other PC, but "unfortunately" it worked fine, thus I can not return or exchange the product because, obviously, they will sent it back with message: "It works for us, there is a problem on your side". Previously I had DAV1 from Razer and it worked fine. What I've tried and other notes: I've tried BIOS USB initialization set to: partial and full I've tried toggling fast boot enable/disable I've checked the boot order in BIOS (cause I saw somewhere that those mices have their own memory for profiles so I checked if it is not booting system from the mouse which is probably bs but I had to try everything) BIOS firmware is up to date (I have the latest one from 2018, its an old MB) I've tried setting the BIOS to default I've tried different USB ports (even those which work with keyboard or other peripherals) I've tried uninstalling the device driver I've tested on other PC (worked fine) I've checked the newest firmware for DAV3 - there is no new firmware for DAV3 only for DAV3Pro Before DAV3 I had DAV1 (it worked fine) My specs are: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 (BIOS version 3503, latest from 2018) Intel Core i7-4790K 4GHz 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM (1866MHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD (1TB) boot drive Intel 530 Series 180GB WD Black 1TB HDD Cooler Master G650M (650W) Thank you for any help you provide.

I am not talking about a KVM option believe it or not. I am talking about a device that allows you to have one keyboard and one mouse to click, scroll, type at the same time without clicking a button. An example of this would be this video at timestamp 7:00 : ( ) I'm looking to replicate this with some devices I have at home for speedtests without cmd prompt using my computers, what is this peripheral called?

Greetings everyone! I have been using an MX Anywhere 2s for about 4 years now and I feel as if it's time for an upgrade, my left click is now ghost clicking, esthetically it has seen MUCH better days but above all, I'm quite annoyed at the software Logitech provides for these mice, Options. It's so inconsistent! I can't for the end of me get button map sync to work across multiple devices, every now and again my gestures just don't work and have to go on and open the Options app (enough to disrupt my workflow). I do love the darkfield sensor, the endless scrolling wheel is sublime and I appreciate how the rubber feet glide through every surface they can touch. So I was wondering. Is there any similar experience to what the MX series brings from another brand? Am I better of with just upgrading to a 3rd gen MX? Do the Logitech G series offerings bring a more polished experience?

Hey, hoping that someone on this site has the knowledge to help me with this. So, i have had this K70 keyboard almost a year now, but just recently it started to do a strange thing. Every once in a while my keystrokes wont register, mostly happens when i press multiple buttons at once (for instance, strafe jumping in CS:GO) Whenever i do this it'll do one of two things, either not registrer any at all, or just one of the keystrokes. Does anyone by chance know what may be causing this? Thanks!

Help me find a Wireless Ergonomic Back lit keyboard for my boss
JayTay posted a topic in Peripherals
Ok so I work at a software company and my boss asked me to find him a keyboard that is ergonomic since he codes 8 hours a day, Backlit because he does not like to turn on lights, and he would like it to be wireless so he can move it around as he likes. He currently has a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate and loves it but he says that it is starting to stress his hands and he is having to cut down the time the codes because of the lack of ergonomic curve. I looked for this mythical unicorn before Christmas and I had to report to him that it does not exist. He approached me last week and again I had nothing to show him. So if anyone knows of a keyboard like this please help me. Help me find this unicorn!!!- 6 replies

Hello I am going to upgrade my peripherals soon and I was hoping to get some suggestions or comments on some of my choices. I already have chosen headphones with the help of @Kloaked but I still cant decide on a few other things. First is monitor, I was thinking of upgrading to a 24 inch Dell Ultrasharp U2415. It has an IPS display with great color accuracy and I have a great amount of trust in Dell. My 15 year old Dell monitor is only now starting to break, and I was thinking of upgrading more because its out-dated. I already have a nice mech keyboard with MX Blues so no upgrade is needed there #MXBlueMasterRace and for the mouse upgrade I was thinking of going for a Logitech G403 Prodigy wired. I have heard great things about it and the sensor it has is really good, 3366 I believe which is among the best. The mouse pad isn't that big of a deal but I was thinking of getting a Corsair MM300 extended mat. Any comments or suggestions about this pick of peripherals? Any suggestions for different products? Also, does anyone own any of these things and if you do, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance.

So after building my secondary PC and installing my keyboard, I have noticed that when using the keyboard, it will disconnect briefly then reconnect, usually dragging keys on during the disconnect (such as in game, WASDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD). I have legacy USB devices enabled in the bios, and this is not happening to any other peripherals or USB devices. I have also tried different USB ports, but no luck. Please help. It is very annoying in games. PCPP Link

I just finished putting my pc together and went I turned it on, none of the peripherals would work. My mouse, keyboard, and monitor won't work. Mouse and keyboard will not light up and the monitor stays in power saving mode. I tried plugging in my charger to my phone and it charger it so there is power going to it. I checked my CPU it see I found it was oriented correctly and it was. I took out the ram to see if one of them were bad, I tested them individually and turned the pc on with the smame result; peripheral said don't work. What else can I do to fix this? Or it there a step that I'm forgetting? My build is : Video card: MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB CrossFire VR Ready FinFET DirectX 12 Graphics Card (RX 480 GAMING X 4G) CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-8GVRB Motherboard: ASUS LGA1151 DDR4 DisplayPort HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 H170 ATX Motherboards H170 PRO GAMING Power supply: evga 500b samsung ssd 250 gb

I just built a new computer with the following parts: Video card: MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB CrossFire VR Ready FinFET DirectX 12 Graphics Card (RX 480 GAMING X 4G) CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-8GVRB Motherboard: ASUS LGA1151 DDR4 DisplayPort HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 H170 ATX Motherboards H170 PRO GAMING Power supply: evga 500b samsung ssd 250 gb Dell mouse, keyboard, monitor when I turned it on for the first time, none of the peripherals (mouse, keyboard and monitor) would not turn on. I tried to plug my cell phone charger into the USB ports, and they started charging my phone so there it power going to them. I tried to take out the battery and wait for about 10 minutes and it didn't solve the problem. I've taken out the ram and gpu and turned the computer on with one of each plugged it and that didn't solve it. What is the problem because I have no idea at this point? Are my parts even compatible?

I want a wireless mouse with at least 2 shoulder buttons and decent size (I have big hands) that can be wireless but don't want to worry about charging AA batteries, at least not separately, is there any mouse like that? I've seen some Logitech ones that can charge through a microusb cable but can seem to find any other, not even the Logitech ones seem to mention that feature in the Amazon page, just in the official website, are there any other brands for that? I would like to spend around 30 USD.

I picked up DS3 recently and the controls on PC are, well some of you might know. I've been told that controllers are a lot better for this game so I'm going to pick one up. I've also heard that the Xbox 360 controller is the best for PC but what about the XB1 controller? Is that any good? Would love to hear from anyone with experience in the Dark Souls games on PC or that uses a controller on PC. Thanks.

Hello all! I'm looking for a wireless gaming mouse for my mid-range gaming laptop. I need it to be wireless as I can't afford any desk space to be taken up by a cord (desks at schools are waaay too small :/) I'm specifically looking for low latency, a price of $25 or less, largish size, and good ergonomics. I was originally going for the EagleTec MG001 that Linus recommended in his cheap gaming mice video, but that's no longer available on Amazon and I'm finding resellers selling it at ridiculous prices. Thank you all in advance

Hello guys, I’ve been using the wireless Apple keyboard with the iPad Pro for a few months now when writing on the go but it just doesn’t have the same feel as mechanical switches. Can anyone recommend a small mechanical keyboard to use on the go??

THE BEST CHEAP LAVALIER MICROPHONE Purple Panda's - "Lavalier Lapel Microphone Kit" BUY IT NOW Australia - EbayAU United States/Canada - AmazonUS BEFORE WE BEGIN So as of writing this, I HAVE NOT received my "Purple Panda" kit, just keep that in mind that this post is to make people aware of its existence (looking at you LTT audio engineers/announcers). MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES My experience with microphones and audio in general I feel is good enough to be here writing this post. I have worked on several projects and YouTube videos behind the microphone where I was required to provide my own gear and software. Many of these projects were focused on the post-production of the audio A.K.A voice effects to have the effects work at such a high quality I require a good microphone setup (links to my test tracks and gear will be below). I also have film audio experience thanks to my time In college studying film. After that my experience with audio revolves around instrument recording and some light podcasting. MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS So this segment is usually written after I have "reviewed" the product but since international postage has failed to deliver it on time I will be going off others reviews (links below in "sources" section). After watching several videos and talking to my friends with this mic setup I decided to buy one for myself. While watching these reviews I noticed that there was, in fact, a light layer of hiss in the audio. This at first felt annoying as it would show up whenever the speaker would stop to breathe. These thoughts quickly dried up as the hiss can easily be removed later or it can even be left in with the addition of some background music (most videos have it). The overall quality I initially thought to be flatter than I would have liked but you quickly forget the difference between the Purple Panda and a shotgun mic like the RODE Videomic Pro, and that being said the quality from the Purple Panda is better in conditions like outdoors or when the speaker is far away from the camera. In terms of mobility, I saw a lot of reviewers using their phones as an external recorder to keep the camera audio but the 5ft cable in the mic itself should be more than enough for anyone using this for vlogs and if you need more room to move Purple Panda has you covered with the included 10ft extension cable. It also comes with a TRRS > TRS adapter, Deadcat windshield, Go Pro Hero 4 mic adapter, 10ft extension cable, steel alligator clip and a nifty Purple Panda carrying case. FINAL THOUGHTS Look I don't expect you to trust my judgment as I have yet to receive my Purple Panda kit but from what I have seen on reviews and heard from friends this truly is the best cheap lavalier mic. I did intend to do this post after I received my Purple Panda Kit, but with a few days delay and with stock quickly selling out (at least in Australia) I thought I would let people know. I will be making a final review so don't think this is over just yet. Hi there! A bit silly question but is it possible for peripheral device to damage the PC? I'm not talking about software-like damage (when USB-size mini PC erases your data), I'm talking about if there is something wrong with a USB drive or keyboard - can it possibly damage the PC? Thank you!

Before I sold my macbook pro 2010, when charging with a UK power block it gave me a a tingle sort of buzzing feeling when running my fingers across the aluminium chassis. This did not happen whilst running off the battery alone. My partner could feel it if he ran his arm across my skin. Despite the power being earthed in plug it still done so. I used several USB and my graphics tablet plugged into it. I would like to know if that sort of electrocution feeling could damage my peripherals, and when I had not used them for 2 weeks as I waited for my new tower-could plugging the things I had used in the macbook damage my new Pc. They work fine in spare laptop, just worried about our new high end one. Also say once I plugged peripherals from macbook into new Pc, then brought a new USB or plugged partners capture card in. Would that get damaged. Regards Alexis
