Ok so i've never built a pc before but i'm sure ill manage and stumble across the finish. I've only bought pre-builts in the past and i'm finally brave enouh to try on my own. I'm just wondering if the parts i've picked out are well balanced with maybe the oportunity to upgrade in the future if required. The parts are as follows: Psu: Corsair RM750 750W (2019) Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: B550-F Gaming (Wi-Fi) Fans: 2x Silent Wings 3 120mm PWM (What is pwm?) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300A tempered glass black (One 120mm fan included) Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB Gpu: Rtx 2070 (ill take it out of my old computer and use it in my new build to save some cash money) Ram: 8x2 GB 2666Mhz Hyperx Fury CL16. My pre-built pc that i'm using at this moment is very cramped inside and it's hard to remove things from it, I even think getting the gpu out is gonna be it's own little struggle. Are there any extra cables that are needed for the gpu that don't come with the new powersupply that i am thinking of buying? (Corsair RM750 750W (2019)) I will also take the ram from the pre-built. And just to make sure, there aren't any parts that i'm missing right?

I’m planning on buying a 1080p monitor from Bestbuy and a making a 2nd monitor from my dead laptop. I’m upgrading from laptop to desktop, and I tried to build a cheap pc to save money. Halfway through realized it might not be the right build for what I need, and that I’d rather spend extra for better overall performance anyway. I saw this build on the recommended build for 3d work and have all the parts in the basket, but I saw a comment saying his $900 Ryzen build would be cheaper and would run better. I’d like to follow a build guide from Linus, and would prefer not to stray too far from the recommended parts list if possible. Again, I know nothing of computers and don’t want to spend too much money and time wondering which parts will work together. It would be very helpful to know which build would be the best for 3d work, and if there is a better build guide to follow. Thanks!

I am looking to make a Budget gaming pc. I am looking to play games at 75 fps on medium to high setting on a 1080p 75hz monitor. I will be playing games like Fortnite Minecraft, and other games that are relativity easy to run. I think this is good but I'm going to ask for confirmation. (I already have RAM and graphics card, I got them for free so I'm just going to use them for now.) I have no idea what RAM I have, but it looks similar to that and has the same specs as those ones. Can someone please check my pcpartpicker build to see if everything is compatible and there's no bottlenecks or anything wrong with it. I just want to make sure I didn't mess anything up before I buy the parts. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/83qDNP In case you're wondering why there isn't a discrete GPU it's because I was told that since I won't be doing any gaming/crypto/heavy video editing I won't really need one and I could just use igpu. Also I don't know if it matters but I plan on trying out different things like game development, linux, cybersecurity, virtual machines, programming, IT stuff, etc with this pc. I won't really be doing any gaming and the games that I'd like to make are 2D ones.

Hi friends, I want to build ah PC for video editing, 3D modelling purposes. Gaming is not compulsary. I don't want any RGB lighting or any external good appearances. Only performance matters to me. My choice is AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 4.3GHz 20MB Cache AM4 Socket (YD270XBGAFBOX)(https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07B428M7F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1N1KFB7XM5VHBH6EGQ57?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) 300$ Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 3200MHZ UDIMM C16 Desktop RAM Memory Module (https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07W8ZDDKT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_MJEQRCKCNBCT81D5X9FT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) 100$ Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 256 MB Cache for Computer Desktop PC (ST2000DM005) (https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07GWRP5LN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_RDY3ZFZJ9ZCEG6N9YPFH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). 70$ Choosing Graphics Card is a headache for me. I don't know which to choose. . From few browsing I think NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4GB GDDR5 128bit PCI Express 3.0 x16 Graphics Card (VCQP1000-PB) might be suitable But cost is high. Can anyone help with choosing Graphics Card and Motherboard and SSD(256GB)(under 100$) properly? Note: I planned use an old LED TV for monitor and buy cheap mouse and keyboard (wireless)(30$). And Cheap Cabinet too (70$). Processor- 300$ Ram-100$ Mouse, Keyboard,Monitor-100$ HDD-70$ SSD-100$ Total-670$ A good Graphics Card and a motherboard for 370$.Is it possible? Possible reductions SSD to128GB. Ram single Stick (16gb) for future upgrade. When needed add another 16gb. Please help with this.I need your suggestions for all my choices and to make a choice?

Budget (including currency): Approximately 6.5 thousand Turkish Liras - 900$ (Gpu not included) Country: Turkey Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: DAW(Digital Audio Workspaces such as 'Pro Tools, Ableton, Cubase), Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop), Gaming (AOE2:DE CS:GO, COD:Warzone, Escape From Tarkov (may vary) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello, after ten years of dorm life finally I decided to build my pc and leave my laptop(using Macbook Pro 15' mid 2015, can't play games) behind. I work as a Sound Engineer so mostly i'll be using DAWs and planning to play games on my new PC. Most of the parts are certain but still having some problems about it. Since I live in Turkey, currency rate is very high and part prices are a bit more expensive than USA. So current state of the build is around 850$ as the specs given below. Planning a mid-range build which is up to age(semi future proof). I am planning to use my old SSD and Monitor which means my only need is in-case parts(my plan is to wait for GPU and buy a 3060TI). I am super confused about CPU cooler since most AIO's are above my budget, my case supports 240mm AIO, I need help about CPU cooling and recommendations about build since I'll start buying parts from now on(starting from today, looking for good deals in the moment). -Ryzen 5 5600x will be Tray so no stock cooler is included. -Zalman S4 Plus is way cheaper than NZXTs in my country and It's not bulky for me(It's a bit tight case in terms of GPU choice and CPU cooling. *315mm GPU Space - 160mm CPU cooler height -PSU is actually 650w but in pcpartpicker i could only find 550w version of it. -I have no interests about parts being RGB(it can be but personally i don't like RGB) Waiting for your help and recommendations about this build, especially in CPU cooling(can be budget AIO or effective fan cooler, part prices can be different so i'll reply and inform you about it if you have recommendations. Thanks.

Budget (including currency): $3500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Demanding games like BFV, DOOM Eternal, Empyrion - Galactic Survival, Trailmakers, and many more, as well as music production. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am currently saving to meet this budget requirement in order to create an Intel/Nvidia beast of a rig. The specs are: Unlocked Core i7, GeForce RTX 3080, 32 GB DDR4-3600, and the CPU will be using an AIO. I also plan to start out with a single 1TB M.2 SSD and add a second down the road. I will also be including a Creative Labs Sound Blaster AE-9 for both the gaming side of it and the music side.

Budget (including currency): 1000 Euro Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: COD Warzone, R6 Siege, GTA 5 Other details: It's a new Build for my cousin because his current setup is some 10 year old laptop and a 1080p 60Hz monitor but he plans to buy a 1080p >100Hz sometime next year, I think. He doesn't need any peripherals as he already owns pretty much everything. Nvidia is a preference of mine because I've been using it for all my PCs but I'm also willing to go AMD.

Firstly, these are the components I have bought and installed: - msi A320M-A PRO MAX motherboard - AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6 core 3.5 GHz - Galax Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - ZEBRONICS ZEB-PWP600W power supply - XPG 8GB DIMM DDR4 RAM I assembled it in a chiptronix case and connected all the power inlets correctly. I haven't installed the storage yet. The problem is that nothing happens when I plug it and turn it on. To test the power supply, I installed it on another pc and it worked completely fine, but as soon as I plug the 24-pin power inlet to the motherboard, it doesn't turn on. This is when the motherboard is fresh out of the box, no tempering. Also, if I ground the 24 pin connector, the power supply works completely fine. It's only when I connect it to the motherboard the problem starts. Irrespective of whether any other component is connected or not, nothing happens. It's my first pc build, and I don't have more budget for a other build, I have to make this work. Please help if you can.

Budget (including currency): 10 000 NOK (~1150 USD) Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Current computer for gaming is used for games, streaming and the like / Planned homeserver will be used for watching movies over the cloud, cloud storage and game server hosting. Some games I'm planning to host, preferabely minimum two server at a time if needed: ArmA 3 Minecraft Rust Other than that, I want the system to handle running most of the time. The gaming rig will be running on 1080p 60Hz screens, mostly games similar to Doom Eternal, Hitman 2 and Battlefront 2 in quality. Other details My plan is to: Take older parts from my gaming rig, use those in building up a homeserver for the beforementioned uses and then upgrading the parts that have been moved from the gaming rig. I was originally planning to keep it all in the gaming rig and building the server from scratch but came to the conclusion that I might as well take it all at once when I'm first at it. I have gotten some questions why I'd build a PC to use as a server and not just a corporate level server or the like, but the reason is really that I find computers a lot easier to understand, and after much back and forth I've found it way easier to do it this way at least the first time around. Should I find out later on I want a "proper" server I'll always find a use for the PC server. PC Build I currently have a gaming computer with the following components, I will be putting the upgrade I'm planning to do in parentheses with red text, the rest will stay as is for now. Parts that will be moved to the server will be in blue. I'm not including storage space in the gaming rig as it'll stay, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X (AMD Ryzen 5 3600) Ram: Unsure of brand, 8x2 GB Sticks (Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16 GB 3200 MHz)) MOBO: MSI B450 Gaming Plus (MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk) (is this a good mobo?) PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt 550W Bronze Case: Phanteks Eclipse P600S Case I have from before. Server Build All parts that aren't blue will be purchased, excluding the case that I have from before. Blue components are taken from the gaming PC. GPU: XFX 590 Fatboy (This is not being purchased, but I had it in "storage") CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16 GB 3200 MHz) SSD: Kingston SSDNow 480 GB HDD: Seagate IronWolf 4 TB (1x, to start with) MOBO: MSI B450 Gaming Plus PSU: Corsair RM550X Gold (since the machine will be powered on for most of the time) Case: Fractal Design Define C * In the future I'll be purchasing RAID as a security measure. Conclusion I'm looking for any feedback on these upgrades and builds, does it sound like a decent setup? the motherboard for the rig is the one I've been the most unsure about but I came to the conclusion it might be the most feasible. I have a seperate question, if any can answer it. Is it possible to do a workaround with only a single displayport and wanting to play VR without having to disconnect the monitor all the time to plug the headset in? Thank you for all help! If any more information I've forgotten is necessary I'll add it ASAP.

I connected my PWM connector that is attached to my fan hub to the 12v rgb header on my motherboard. When I turned on my case fans aren't spinning anymore and the led lights are stuck on stagnant with different colors. The computer itself is working normally and there isn't seem to be any visible damage on the motherboard. Did I fry my fans? Did I fry my rgb header? Is it just the fan hub that is broken? Are there any damage that it dealt that I should know about? Please I'm really anxious and desperately need help. Thank you in advance for help, you are a great person. Decided to take the ssd out and install windows on another PC and then put the SSD back into the new PC. It came on but it was stuck on "preparing for automatic repair" and it has no loading animations. Some said it might be a bios problem, an update required or somewhat. But the motherboard is ryzen 5th gen ready from the factory itself. I tried switching over to another m.2 slot, doesnt seem to change a thing. The ssd works perfectly fine on the PC where I installed windows on.

I recently installed the Intel Wifi 6E m.2 in my MSI Z390 Gaming Plus motherboard. It doesn't seem to want to function.. All connectors are in, board's bios updated to latest version, and WIFI/BT drivers downloaded and installed (from what I can tell). I've looked all through my bios and can't identify where to enable the chip, and the motherboard won't even show that it's connected to the E-Key slot. Any help or incite would be appreciated, Thanks
