So I have just picked up a used pc the other day because it is going to be a present from my sister to her boyfriend tomorrow. I have tested it by playing a few games on it for around 3-4 hours a day, in the last 2 days, for a total of around 8 hours ish. 2 times it has crashed with the "kernel power 41 (63)" error. I haven't seen a bsod just that it restartet. both times was within the first minutes of me turning on the computer. It has not happend while I have played games on it yet and therefore it seems like (so far) that it doesn't happen at all if it just works for the first 5-10 min of me turning on the pc. So I hoped that could maybe rule out faulty hardware, but I wanted to hear what you guys think and also what you would propose I tried. I would really like to fix it for my sister before she has to give it as a present This is the PC I bought. It is a OEM and not a prebuild. The link is to a danish electronics retailer, but the specs should still be there https://www.elgiganten.dk/product/gaming/gaming-pc/stationar-gaming-computer/acer-nitro-n50-stationar-gaming-computer/185767 only difference is that it looks like the person who had it before added another 8gb ram

Hi all, Need some help here. Let me start with some context. I have my an AV receiver (Onkyo TX-L50). Into it, I have a laptop plugged in via HDMI. Also into the receiver I have optical sound from a PC. The PC is connected to an ultrawide monitor, the Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo suing a DP cable. What I would like to do, is achieve an Atmos audio output from the PC into my 5.1 speaker setup, which is currently powered by the AV receiver. I was told that if I enable “passthrough” on the AV receiver and use HDMI from the GPU (an RTX 4090) it should just show whatever is being output from the GPU on the monitor with no processing. This does work to some extent – it shows the super-ultrawide display but it looks “off”, please see attached picture. Here are my questions… 1) Does anyone know of an AV receiver that will achieve the super-ultrawide picture? I don’t mind the price (within reason). HDR and Atmos is a must, but I imagine at the category I am looking at, it will have those as a given. 2) Should my current one actually work, but the problem is I am doing something wrong – perhaps with refresh rate? UPDATE: I already have audio working from my pc to the avr via optical. reason I am looking to do this is to have Atmos so I can enjoy Atmos audio from movies and some games - as you know optical does not have the bandwidth to support this.

Hello LTTS Community! I hope this message finds you well. I'm about to embark on an exciting journey of building a new PC and would really value your thoughts and expertise on my planned setup. This build is a collaboration with a local PC store here in Hudiksvall, and I'm eager to hear what you think. Here's the proposed build: CPU: Intel Core i9 13900KF 3.0 GHz, 36MB, Socket 1700 (without CPU graphics) Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition LGA1700 Motherboard: ASRock Z790 PG Lightning ATX LGA1700 RAM: Corsair 64GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR5 5600MHz CL36 Vengeance Black Storage: Samsung 990 PRO MZ-V9P2T0BW - SSD - encrypted - 2 TB GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM X 24GB PSU: be quiet! - Pure Power 11 FM - 1000W OS: Microsoft® Windows 11 Home USB Case: Fractal Design Focus G Black Window My goal is to build a machine that's not just for high-end gaming, but also capable of handling multitasking, streaming, and video rendering with ease. I'm looking for something that will be future-proof for both gaming and technology advancements. Considering that my current PC, which has served me well for about 8 years, is now showing its age, I'm ready for a significant upgrade. This new build is a long-term investment, as I don't plan on buying another PC for many years. I'd love to get your input on this setup. Do you see any potential bottlenecks or compatibility issues? Are there any components you would swap out for something else, keeping in mind the need for future-proofing and high-performance multitasking? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any advice you can offer. Your expertise is invaluable to me as I take this big step! Best regards, Trolle

So i switched from a r5 5600x & 1660ti with 32 gb ram (4x8) to a r5 5600x & 4080 with same ram a while ago (late 2022-early 2023), and now just a month ago i switch my cpu to a r7 5800x3d and my ram to 32 gb ram (2x16) since my friend told me amd cpu's doesn't like 4 sticks and rather have 2 sticks of ram. It runs really good on every game. Except fortnite. I've recently come back to playing fortnite and i cap my fps with my 240hz 2k monitor but when i play in game on performance mode i get 240fps highs but i constantly get stutters and fps drops down to 20 in game. Settings in performance mode doesn't seem to do anything and when i switch to dx12 i get TONS of stuttering, i'm talking 3x as much and on dx11 i get much stuttering aswell. Does anyone have any tips on what it can be? I'm tired of it stuttering and limiting my in-game performance but i can't find a solution on my own. I did a remove and install on the nvidia drivers when i got it. I did not reset windows but it feels like a reach no? Specs: 4080 zotac r7 5800x3d 32 gb ram (2x16 @ 3600mhz), old ram was 32 gb (4x8 @ 3200mhz) samsung evo 980 ssd corsair 850 watt psu Would appreciate any kind of information that could solve my problem. I'm not really good with bios and that kind of stuff so i'd rather stay away from that myself but if i have to do anything please give me a step-by-step guide since i don't want to send it away and wait so long for it to potentionally not get fixed and just waste time.

I haven't upgraded the PC in a couple of years and it's due. This area is not my specialty so I was looking for some advice. The GPU is at the top of my list along with a new monitor. What else should I look at? Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor 16.0GB Single-Channel DDR4 RAM Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. AB350M-DS3H-CF (AM4) Motherboard 931GB Western Digital WDC WDS100T2B0A-00SM50 (SATA SSD) Drive The SSD card was my most recent upgrade, I plan to put in an RTX 4070 along with a new monitor to go with it of course. What else should I think about upgrading for better gaming performance?

Hello my fellas, whats up? I'm going to need to upgrade my setup soon because my wifes pc is dying, so we agree to pass mines to her and i build a new one. That being said: My budget allows me to go with a 12th gen and a DDR4 mobo, but i need the chipset to be overclockable. I believe its the Z590/Z690 chipsets, but i need tips in building that pc. My GPU is ROG 3060 12gb and my PSU is a Corsair 850w Gold. I do a lots of tasks that use multiple cores and large bandwiths of RAM (Virtualizations, Ps, Ai, lots and lots of tabs on OperaGX), and of course gaming. Let me sse what you guys think

Hey folks, I have hit a wall, and can't seem to find a solution. I'm experiencing game/system crashing when opening or loading games. What I mean by this is, loading the game might crash it or my system, or when I'm in game loading a new map or back to a lobby. It does not happen when I'm ''in game, playing'' Example: Ready or Not: Opening the game 50/50 game crash. In the lobby before starting map no issue When I start and load the map: 50/50 game/system crash The Finals: Opening the game 50/50 game crash In the lobby no issue When I connect in to a map or back to lobby after a match 50/50 game/system crash. Darktide: Opening the game no issue. In the lobby no issue. connection to a game 50/50 game crash All of this started happening 4 days ago. I changed most of my setup 6 weeks ago. I did not experience this with my old setup and only with the new since 4 days ago. Current setup: MB: ASUS PRIME Z790-P (V2) CPU: i9 14900K GPU: 4070 Gigabyte RAM: 2x16 GB Vengeance DDR5-6000 PSU: Corsair HX 1000 Storage: 3x m.2 ( Samsung: 1xEVO 960, 1x970 EVO, 980 Pro ) OS: Win10 Bluescreen error messages: FLTMGR.sys and WATCHDOG. Game crash error messages: Not enough V-ram. Troubleshooting steps I have done: - Updated Win 10 - Updated GPU driver - Updated MB drivers - Stress test (Furmark / Heaven) No issue - Monitored temperatures doing games and stress test, no issue - Tested SSD's: Games on different SSD's and fresh install of windows on another SSD All SSD's are updated and tested in SAMSUNG MAGICAN no errors or issues - All SSD's shows status: Good. - Moved RAM and tried single and dual channel. - I have set RAM to both 5400 and 6000, same issue. - Underclocked and overclocked GPU same issue - Reinserted GPU - chkdsk /s /r no errors - Windows Memory Diagnostic ( Event viewer showed no errors in the system files ) The error messages from bluescreen indicate something with files or where why are installed, I hoped fresh install of windows and isolating the games on different SSD's would pin-point the issue, but no luck, same error message all around. The error messages regarding v-ram or video, seems odd given that I'm running a 4070. I know its not the strongest of bois but should not be an issue with the games that I play. The same issue occurs when lowering graphics settings in game. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! I'm at a loss. All the best, KakaoSnask

Hey guys, i really need some help. Roughly 9 months ago, I build my new pc. Since I build it, I have had random crashes/black screens during games or when in idle, but never during stress test or anything like that. My specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC 16G ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus 2x16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws 5600MHz Noctua NH-D9L NZXT C850 Gold (850W) OS: Windows 10 I have tried the demo of 3dMark, all OCCT benchmarks, cinebench r23, memtest86 and some other benchmarks. My PC never crashed during these. The speeds and temperatures stay at normal levels, even after like 3 hours or more. But most of the time it just randomly crashes in games after like 20-30 minutes. Sometimes it only crashes after like 2 hours or even never . The games which crash it are basically all games that I currently play, so Valorant, Cyberpunk, Fortnite, Forza Horizon 5, GTAV, and some more. I am running stock speeds on both GPU and CPU and over-/underclocking or changing anything hasn't helped ether. I've tried all DOCP profiles and turning it off has also not helped. I am running the newest chipset and gpu driver, as well as the newest BIOS. (I dont really think that matters scince these crashes exist since I build my PC). The Windows Event Viewer also doesn't help. I only get: - Error: Eventlog (ID: 6008) - Critical: Kernel-Power (ID: 41) But these 2 show only after the crash, there is no event before my pc crashes. Currently I really don't know what to do anymore. The crashes are just getting really annoying while im playing with friends and it's also not like the PC was cheap. Thanks for reading all that, I hope someone can help me.

So, I have a pc and it is placed in quite an awkward position. After staring at it and thinking of ways I can modify it or change it, I had a thought about rotating it. I am unsure if it will damage the psu if it is rotated by such. So, (without considering the wires and cables for psu and peripherals stuff as I am going to make a custom stand for it.) can I rotate my pc by 90° where the ports would be facing the ground.

I have a Seagate Mobile HDD 1TB that stopped working suddenly. I mainly used the hard drive as a portable disk drive via an enclosure. The issue is when I connect it in through the USB port it just rings a tone as proof of connection to the PC. The enclosure lights up with the vibration of spinning the drive as usual disk drives do. But it does not appear on the "This PC" folder as the other disk drives do. However, it shows in the Disk Management as unknown, not initialized, and unallocated drive. I have watched several YouTube videos to fix it but not worked. I also tried by AOMEI Partition Assistant to Rebuild the MBR, and format the drive but did not work. I have added several photos of the states and the process of fixes carried out for the disk drive herewith. Is it possible to fix the drive? Any help and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
