Hey guys there in canada (mostly) Here´s a little dumb child from europe, who want to tell you a miracelous and funny story about the idea to put a Raspberry Pi into a PC-Case with a running selfbuilded PC... My idea was to put my Pi 2 Model B into a PC because...well... i don´t know why. Maybe because i want to get rid off the mass of cables and to tidy up my desk. Or because i don´t have anything to do( apart from writing this post). I modded the little case of the Rpi before with a little 1.75 inches fan (i think) to cool the quad-core processor( a quad-core on a credit card? Yeah!--my thought) and ,well, it runs pretty good. I build a little adapter for the fan with a normal power to usb adapter, a old usb cable, a lever and a simple "plug-connector". But all these cables behind my screen upset me totally. So i thought about the idea to put the rpi into my new PC. Aaand... i did it. First i tried to install the rpi onto a hhd base frome the case. But that didn´t fit. So i made a plate out of wood with the same propotions. And i made a fitting hole for the rpi into one of the front panel parts. And it fit! Then i put the rpi into the front panel part (with plastic glue) and this thing onto the plate (with glue and some screws). Later i drilled a few holes into the plate for the hdd directy underneath my modification. And that it is. Probably not the best thing in the world. Probably total senseless. but it works very well! I had only to put the hdmi and the power cable of the rpi onto the back of the case and than out of the case , so that i dont need to manage them. But i got a new idea. I had a fan from the boxed cpu fan of the amd. So i drilled some more holes into the plate. And i screwed the fan onto the plate, behind the rpi, to create some "cooling" or better air movement behind the thick cable-"tree" in the case for the optical drive and the hdd. I connected the rpi fan directly to the power supply( the power output fit with the fan Yay) with the little fdd connector(so it is called onto the box of the supply) with tape and the old boxed fan with the system-fan connector on the mainboard(damn logic). Most people will now cry out: Sys-fan connector?! And what is with your your normal case fan?-Calm...calm... The case fan only got a big 4-pin connector(hdd connector named onto the power supply box) and is connected to the power supply, too. The only thing i needed to do then was to drill a few holes into the front panel part above the rpi panel part for the air and...- Everything runs! ^^ I think this is the end of my little post here I am going to put up some pics next day(in europe)(and maybe a list of my pc-components) and leave a comment if you want. Say your opinion, your ideas or whatever and give some sort of "thumbs-up" for my _Warning Sarcasm_great english and my great ideas:D See you later

Hey guys, I just got a new Noctis 450 case to replace my R4. Should I cut out the hard foam from the Fractal to put in the side panels or buy soft foam? Thanks - Covert.

Hello all. I'm attempting a miniature gaming PC, and I need help finding the smallest case in dimensions or compactness that can fit a small graphics card, such as the R9 285 or new Asus GTX 960. So far, these are my candidates: The Thermaltake Core V1 Mini (http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Core-Gaming-Computer-CA-1B8-00S1WN-00/dp/B00M2UKGSM/ref=sr_1_sc_1), Cooler Master Elite 110 (http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Elite-110-Mini-ITX/dp/B00HJOJJ6Q/ref=sr_1_30). I can get these locally, and they both are pretty petite, but is there anything else that is both tinier and flatter that can house said GPUs?

So right now I have a Silverstone SG05-lite case (micro atx) and I wanted to upgrade it to either an H440 or a S340. They both have really good specs and they both look really good. I'm leaning more towards the H440 but that's just me. I'm not interested in another case due to these cases being so well priced. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me which one to get and why. Thanks! I thinking to get my self a new probably better case, I currently have an CiT Goblin Case and I don't like the look of it and can only have 3 fans and my pc gets high temperature quickly when running 2 120mm aerocool shark fans and the standard fan witch came with the case. I am looking to get a case is around £60 and then 4 if the case can have 120mm be quiet! Pure Wings 2 fans. Can you suggest any good cases for good airflow and good looking cases? and I was wondering if there is any difference with the Full tower cases and the Small Form Factor part that this ones are smaller and wider. It is better to have a small form factor case or the full tower one? This are the cases that I am about Full Tower http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NIJKMEE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=OX5WJU6DEOJD&coliid=I3BWF5DCP2IY55 Small form Factor http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Elite-120-Advance/dp/B00BTQAWH0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432806599&sr=1-2&keywords=Small+Form+Factor+case This is my current PC - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/wQ27FT I ACTUALLY FOR GOT IT MUST HAVE A CD SLOT OR WHAT EVER ITS CALLED

Hello LTT, I'm trying to design a custom PC case, but i really suck using sketch up... The concept of the PC is that i want it to have an inverted motherboard, so the windowed side panel will be in the right side of the case. I want it to have at least 2 360mm rad support, in case i want to water-cool it.

I am building another pc, I was wondering what case is the most quiet and has a high airflow output and input, My budget is rougly 150$ I will replace the stock fans with Noctua fans

I have an R4 now. I DON'T have a window. I really want to show off my hot build, so I think that a better looking case with a window is a good option. So, 760T, 780T, 450D, H440, or any other recommendations? Thanks.

I would love to know some suggestions for a gaming PC case! I'm looking for practicality, and if it can hold these computer parts http://bit.ly/1DOlbdK(on google doc) and if possible it would be nice if it looked good. Can't wait to see what you guys use and or like. -azurite2

Well, last month I decided to order myself a new CPU and motherboard as part of a plan to slowly upgrade my system over the next few months. (Need to be ready for Fallout 4.) However, I messed up and ordered an ATX motherboard when I only have a micro-ATX case. (Well, I do have an old spare ATX case, but it's being held together by tape and I don't really want to use it.) Well, rather than send the motherboard back, I thought I'd look into new cases. Given I spent so much last month, I'm trying to keep the prices down. So far, I've been considering the following: Thermaltake Chaser A41: I like this one because of the seemingly easier-to-access dust filters. I seem to have a dustier-than-normal room for some reason. Cooler Master Storm Enforcer: This one I like for the look, but also seems to have good airflow. Corsair Graphite 230T: This is the budget option. However, there may be other cases in my budget that I hadn't even considered. So, any tips would be appreciated!

Hi guys, I've done some upgrades to my pc a few months back and had real problems installing my new parts in the case I have. Took me a few hours more than it would be usual to get everything done and that got me frustrated. Last week I did a few other upgrades and that cost me like 5 hours for something I can usually do in 2. My case has cable management holes, but for the new hardware (motherboard with s-ata sideways etc) all of the holes are on the wrong places. It was ok for cable management with my old board and old psu. Had to remove the MBO to place the new cooler, the case has a really small cutout on the motherboard tray, not large enough to get good access to the backplate. As for the hard drives, the cage can be removed but the drive connectors (data and power) are on the side to the side panel, you see them directly when you open the case. That looks bad. And the "rails" for tool-less hard-drive installation break a lot. There are no places to mount 2.5" drives (like the SSD-s) so I have to use either 5.25" or 3.5" to 2.5" adapters/boards to mount my SSD-s. Did I mention it's gray inside? Well, it supports 5 120mm fans (1 front, 1 down, 2 on the side panel and one on the back) and the PSU is mounted down so cooling is not a problem. Just the looks and the installation of new hardware are really painfull and take time. Here's ahow my case looks: http://www.chieftec.eu/en/component/content/article/61-midi-tower/138-df-01b-giga-serie-midi-tower-matx-atx.html http://www.chieftec.eu/images/stories/produkte/chassis/miditower/giga-series/df-01b/highlights/05.jpg That is why I need a few suggestions for a new case. This is what I need: - silence - good build quality - support for ATX and mATX boards - black inside - removable drive cages - good cable management options (holes, grommits, covers) - good "serious" looks (hate the flashy / gamer / led / transformer looks) - mid tower (don't wan't a large full tower) - support for longer video cards and new hardware - a window on the side is not necessary but it would be nice - good cooling options (might install watercooling in the future) - at least one ODD cage (for a DVD-RW drive). The Fractal Define R4 and R5 are nice, I like those. But I would like something cheaper or less common. Or even more silent. As for the money, let's focus on the "bewllow 100€" range. Or a bit more if really necessary. In USD ($) let's say 50-80-100 $, maybe a bit more if needed. The Define R5 cousts some 130$ (US) here, and that is above my price range but I could save up for it. What do you say, what are my options? What are the recommendations?

Hi, I am planning to build my first pc soon but I don't know what case I should get. I live in the Netherlands and can buy the case from any Dutch site. I want a classy looking case (sidewindow prefered) like the nzxt 340 and it must have good airflow. Maybe even the 340 I don't know if it has good cooling. My budget is €70. I also wanted to ask you guys if I may neeed to change some of the parts. If I can get better ones for the same price. I want to be able to play the latest games at 1080p 60 fps+ and maybe some little streaming. these are my parts: cpu: Intel i5-4690K mobo: MSI H97 GAMING 3 memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 1600MHz psu: Corsair CX600M cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo gpu: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB hard drive: Crucial MX100, 256GB (already have a 1tb external hdd) case: ??
