Hi guys, I currently have a gaming pc of about 4 years old (see part list below) and for the bigger part of this and last year, I've started to notice that I can't play most new games on high or ultra anymore without having performance issues. I don't necesarilly want to upgrade this PC as I might donate it to my SO or sell it to fund some parts for a new PC build, but I am open to suggestions. On that note, I'd also like to add that while I like building a PC, I'm not up to date with the latest trends and news on what is the recommended hardware. Which is why I've ended up here! Budget: 3000 EUR - which would translate to around 3150 USD. Country: Belgium - but I'm open to builds based on US prices etc. Ordering from other European countries is also no issue. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I'll mostly be using the PC for gaming, multimedia and some photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. Other details: (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm currently using a 4 year old computer with the following parts: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Wraith CPU COOLER: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT 240mm MOBO: ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS Gaming RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4-3600 RGB (2x8GB) GPU: MSI RTX 2060 Super Gaming X 8GB SSD: ADATA XPG Gammix S11 Pro 1TB CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C Dark Tempered Glass midi tower FANS: 6x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans PSU: Corsair RM750 (2021) 750W OTHER: Corsair Vengeance RGB Kit (2 fake RAM sticks) Corsair Commander Pro Corsair Gaming K68 RGB keyboard Corsair M55 RGB Pro mouse DISPLAY: 1440p LG monitor (144Hz) 2x 1080 ASUS monitor As for what I'd like to ask: What would my current PC build be worth if I were to sell it? Is it worth upgrading my current PC build or would it be smarter to look into a new build since I have the budget (3K EUR 3.15K USD)? If I were to build a new PC, what are some recommendations for my preferences? 1440p gaming or higher Fits a Fractal Design North No/minimal RGB AMD processor preferred Thanks in advance for your help guys!

So, I'm new here, and was hoping to get some help. I upgraded my PC quite some time ago, and in june of 2023 I build a case for it from scratch. The PC was working fine with no trouble whatsoever. Now, after using it just two days ago, and without warning or appearant reason, the PC stopped working. I disconnected everything, and checked the power button. The button works as it should, but I noticed that whenever I power on the PSU, the RGB lighting on my motherboard flickers, but doesn't turn on. The power on light on my graphics card does stay on. Im thinking it is eighter the PSU or my motherboard, but don't have spare parts. So my question: what do I do now? I obviously don't want to just buy parts for it not to be the issue later on. Computer specs: Cpu: Amd Ryzen 5 3600Hz Gpu: Asus tuf rx 5600 xt Ram: g.Skill ddr4: Ripjaws-V 4x8GB Motherboard: Asus Rog strix B450-f gaming EDIT: a bit of a good news / bad news situation; good news: PC is fixed Bad news: no idea whatsover what the culprit was. After waking up this morning and having it sit disconnected overnight, i tried again to fire it up, and to my suprise it actually works so, no new part, nothing changed as far as i'm aware, but it rust smootly again. Thanks to anyone that took the time to respond to my question.

Budget (including currency): around 1500€ preferably less Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3D modeling (mostly Blender), Video games (No real preference on any type of game. Whatever is popular and I like the look of. eg: Starfield, Cyberpunk), Game Dev and Programming in the foreseeable future. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello, I am currently working a day job before starting university next year. Because of that I know have some disposable Income and I thought that I could buy a new PC and sell my old one. This is my current PC: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 CPU Cooler: Stock Cooler Motherboard: Aorus b540 pro Memory: HyperX predator 2x8 GB ddr4-3200 Stroage: Toshiba 1 TB HDD, WD Blue 500 GB M.2 SSD Video Card: Gainward RTX 2060 super Ghost Case: NZXT h500 Power Supply: Be quiet Pure Power 11 500 watt I also 2 monitors, a 144 Hz and a 75 Hz one (both 24 inch, 1080p) I build this PC 4.5 years ago and will it still works fine, but the performance in modern games is not as high as I would like it to be. Blender is also struggles in more complex scenes. If I am not upgrading this year, I properly will in around 1 year. I also thought about keeping the PC and only upgrading parts, but I don't think that makes sense... This is the PC I would build: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (€329.00 @ Amazon Deutschland) CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (€38.29 @ Amazon Deutschland) Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard (€199.79 @ Amazon Deutschland) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (€129.86 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€53.90 @ Alza) Video Card: MSI VENTUS 2X OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card (€640.90 @ Alza) Case: Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower Case (€120.94 @ Amazon Deutschland) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€119.90 @ Alza) Total: €1632.58 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-10-12 20:47 CEST+0200 (the gpu is actuall 40€ cheaper) I am not sure how sensible it is. I did some light research into PC Parts so they should be good but do they make sense together (750 watt overkill)? It is also a bit over budget, but selling my PC should cover it. (does ~400€ sound reasonable ? I would keep the storage drives). I might even sell a monitor and by a 1440p one. So my questions are: Should I build a new PC now or wait until Ryzen 8000 and RTX 5000 series releases (Q4 2024, Q1 2025)? Should I upgrade my current PC, or build a new PC one and sell the old one? If yes for how much ? If I am building a new one is the posted list good? thanks :)

Hello friends and welcome to this year's first PC mod/build. "Green Prime" is started. It is a modification of the Asus AP201 case with a glass side. In addition to the idea of filling this little one with strong hardware and cooling, the idea is that instead of the current horizontal position of this case, I will make changes so that it stands vertically and give everything my own style and design. Thank you for following my work again, stay tuned! I bought an MSI a520-a pro couple days ago, i put it inside case, installed cpu, etc.. Installed my wifi card, installed the drivers for wifi card, and the wifi card usually has a red led that lights up the wifi symbol on the card, but nothing, i did all i could to try to fix, but nothing, so i sent it back to amazon and bought a b450 pro-vdh max which arrived yesterday, this time the motherboard detects the bluetooth and the bluetooth works fine now, but still no wifi. I have no idea what is wrong. in board explorer, it shows the slot that the wifi card is in "pci_e3" as empty. I've updated the bios to lated and everything

Budget (including currency): 600€ Country: Croatia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Baldurs Gate 3,Monster Hunter Rise, New Space Marine Game, TFT, Apex Other details : Current build is Ryzen 5 1600, MSI gtx 1060 6gb, and 16gb of ram, Msi b350 tomahawk mb. The build is 6 years old now and I got a new 1440p monitor so Im looking for some upgrades. Long story short most reviews Ive seen online recommend RX 6700XT plus Ryzen 5600/x. I cant find out if the motherboard can support the newer GPU, also I've found a rx 6800 for 340€ but its preowned, so I need some help and tips regarding the upgrades: 1. Do I need to buy a new motherboard something like a B550 or I can wait a month and not bottleneck to much. 2. Is it worth to buy a used 6800 over a 6700xt if the price diff is around 40€. 3. My goal is playing games at 1440p at 60+ fps at higher quality, so will get upgrades achive that. Thank you for any help in advance I havent been around the Pc Build community for few years now so I appreciate any help.

I want to build a PC which will run Windows 7/8.1 without issues, with stable 60FPS performance on most games from 2014 or earlier on high graphics settings. Could anyone recommend components which are compatible with each other, have good performance, and have Windows 7/8.1 driver support? Windows XP support is preferred but not necessary.

Hello. I am attempting to make a Mini-ITX PC that will be for to carrying out to things like LAN Parties, Showcasing Files at other places, and other 2-PC functions that would help with my (rather unwieldy) ATX PC's issues of taking on everything alone, including travel damages. I got ahold of this wooden Case from CYBERWOOD and I'll be making it the starting mold for the build https://www.amazon.com/CYBERWOOD-Computer-Ventilated-Expansion-Component/dp/B0BJDJHG15/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=CYBERWOOD&sr=8-3 Since I am a noob on proper allocation, I would like the opinions of the internet to be heard before i start shopping around for gear. Budget will be at $1000 to $1200. I live out in this plateau corner of USA, Pacific Northwest. This Puts me of range of an actual computer parts store barring Best Buy, so i will be mostly relying on online shopping. I will of course be using it for big eater games like ARK Survival Evolved, Halo Infinite, and Elden Ring. I will also be using it to run things like VSDC Video Editor and Game Servers for whenever my ATX pc is occupied. Other than the case and some additional housing for a possible AIO, I'll basically be starting from scratch. I DO, however, want to avoid using NVIDIA due to their obvious pricing issues if I can. So it will either be all AMD with a 6700XT or all Intel with an ARC Card, and I want them to be the best Graphics Card of their respective Series. No need for a new mouse and keyboard, though I want to get a KVM to easily switch from pc to pc at home, along with a better monitor, one that allows me to play at 1440p at ~100hz. Current pc rig is carrying an ROG Asus RX580 8GB OC and a Ryzen 5 3700X (Wraith Prism is still on there, absolute nightmare to get out as it takes the CPU out of its socket), on an AORUS PRO WIFI X570 motherboard. It is a good PC for 1080p things, however it doesn't seem to like doing a lot of high power things, like holding an OBS stream while playing a big game like Halo Infinite. the dang thing crashes on its own too (of course, I do not know everything about trying to run OBS, so if seems a matter of correctable human error, let me know. I would like to stream at 1080p with at least 60 fps). Depending on the situation ill most likely the start shopping spree at around Cyber Monday, as it will take time to get ahold of the right things at a good price.

Budget (including currency): 1.500 - 2.000 EUR. There is a bit of leeway in my budget if I can get a better value by spending a little bit more. Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MAIN: Design and program lighting show with MA software and WYSIWYG (both in live 3D). OFF-TIME: Gaming 1440P RT - Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon, Starfield, Factorio etc. SPARSLY: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop Current system (in short): Z68 board, 3770K, GTX 1060 6GB, 32GB RAM and a 550W PSU Hi everyone, My current system is old and sometimes unable to run certain programs. The current system consists of a up to now it works fine but……. It will be my first build from scratch, I did part replacement/ upgrades but never from scratch. So I would like some help to create a working/ balanced system. I want to replace my current system and find a different use case for the other components (maybe create a computer for our media cabinet or something). This new system has to be futureproof, upgradable and (because fun) has to look good. Down the line I would like to upgrade further but for know my budget is a bit lacking, so I made a (I think and hope) balanced build. For now I am would like to reuse my PSU and case (Case 4000D airflow, PSU TX550M both Corsair), unless there is a good reason not to do so. These are the components I am looking at: [1.897 EUR] CPU: Intel Core i5 13600KF [310 EUR] CPU cooler: DeepCool AS500 PLUS [71 EUR] GPU: Aorus GeForce RTX4060 Ti ELITE 8GB [499 EUR] Motherboard: Asus TUF gaming Z790-PLUS WIFI [259 EUR] Memory: Kingston Fury Beast RGB KF556C36BBEAK2-32 [131 EUR] Storage: Crucial P5 Plus 2TB (3x 121 EUR = 363 EUR] Cage: (already have): Corsair 4000D airflow [0 EUR] PSU: (already have): Corsair TX550M [0 EUR] Fans: Arctic P12 PWM PST A-RGB (3-pack) [45 EUR] OS: Windows 11 Pro retail [219 EUR] I would like to run my storage in RAID 5 for faster read times (for use with MA and WYSIWYG in live 3D) while also being reliable storage. For the OS I would like to use windows 11 Pro, mainly because of the BitLocker feature to be able to use my computer for my business. Because I am using my computer for business, there will be customer information on my computer. Our law states that we have to protect this information and BitLocker is considered adequate enough to "protect" the computer itself. In the future I am going to upgrade the GPU (and therefore the PSU) and maybe the CPU but for now I think this will suffice. Help and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Bert

Budget (including currency): Somewhere around $1300 USD Country: USA Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming with Streamlabs using AV1, War Thunder, story-based games like oxenfree. My intention is to stream for fun and goof around with my friends, not to be super competitive. Other details- Working parts list using MicroCenter's PC builder- https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=156cac33-21e2-4dd7-a22e-8b9e6d3becda This is pretty close to what I'd like to end up with with the exception of wanting a 16 gig version of the 770 as opposed to the 8 gig one on the builder. I'm also not emotionally attached to the 5000D (or any other part for that matter), it just seemed like a safe option with good passive cooling. Peripherals- I'm all good on peripherals as I've already got everything I need in that area, my main display is a 55" 4k display running at 60hz. Might add another display or two to have Discord/Streamlabs glanceable while doing other stuff on my main screen, but these won't need to be super snappy or super high resolution. Upgrading from an MSI gaming laptop w. an Intel i5-10500H @ 2.50GHz and 32 gigs of ram which with the help of a half-decent cooling pad and DLSS can get 60fps at upscaled 4k in War Thunder. Not in a rush to buy, mostly just looking for advice on whether this is even a remotely viable option or if I should go a more traditional route ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. TLDR; looking to build a PC to take advantage of AV1 encoding for casual streaming and also as a general upgrade from my gaming laptop to have fun with my friends. Thanks in advance for any input :)

pc build Gaming PC build for a friend - Germany - ~1000€
Hyiras posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget: Around 1000€ (after taxes) Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Very diverse, from League of Legends to Cyberpunk 2077, they also play VR quite often and are planning on getting an Valve Index(currently using an HTC Vive). As well as some editing of models for VRChat in unity. They're also an artist but as far as I am aware, the programs they use don't really require any significant "horsepower". They also livestream from time to time. Currently using a 1080p 60Hz monitor but I can imagine them upgrading to 1440p, possibly 165Hz or more, down the line. Hi there, my friend recently asked me to put together a new pc for them. They're still running an FX-8530 + GTX 1060 6GB and to noones surprise, are extremely sick of that machines performance. Since the budget is around 1000€ I figured to just put together a completely new machine since the 1060 is also showing its age, here's the build so far: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/xyLgTn The aim is of course to build a good system for the money. After all it doesn't take much to outperform their current PC ;D Right, no peripherals needed in the build. Also no monitors. Just the PC itself. I'd love to hear some second opinions about the build and if I overlooked anything. I also considered the 5800x but didn't want to build them something where the upgradeability is pretty limited plus the performance of the 7600x looks very promising, not to mention the other chips on the platform, that's why i went with AM5 for now. The case is more symbolic than anything, just something cheap that would get the job done since I am already over the 1000€. I'll be discussing that specifically with them soon since it's also a preference relevant choice. But any suggestions for the case within a reasonable "price span" are appreciated Oh, it needs 3.5" HDD mounts since they certainly would want to reuse at least one of their harddrives. The motherboard and RAM are the parts where I'm most uncertain. I'll be honest, it's been a while since I build a PC and I'm not really in the loop of things anymore. Both seem to be fine and fitting for the build, including all necesarry features(if not more), but yeah, there's just alot out there these days. So for those parts especially any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Oh and if I forgot any information, please let me know. Thank you in advance -
