  1. Budget (including currency): IDR 15000000 / about USD $950 Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4k Gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): currently using asus rtx 2080 ti with i7 8700, Z390 aorus ultra and 3200 corsair ddr4. idk if any of the part i'm using right now can be used for the new build. for the case i'm using some small brand case, armageddon infineon 9000 with open side panel for better temp ( the side tempered glass kinda project the heat to me while using the pc) right now i can get Asus Rog Strix Z690 F Gaming Wifi D5 LGA 1700 for the mobo and a i9 12900k both used for on a good deal around USD $600 and another opt for the mobo is Z690 Aorus Master for about USD $316 but the seller seems sketchy. i'm open for any build suggestion and maybe i can stretch the budget a bit <Edit> Approximate Purchase Date: march 2024 Budget Range: $1000 System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Work Station Parts Not Required: GPU: Asus Rog Strix 3090 ti oc lc Case: using prev system case Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com / Tokopedia.com i'll use the preference from newegg to my local marketplace tokopedia.com with currency rate USD $1 = IDR 15800 Country: Indonesia Parts Preferences: intel CPU Overclocking: Maybe SLI or Crossfire: no Monitor Resolution: 4k LG C2
  2. Budget (including currency): AUD $2000 Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: For a Main Gaming PC, I'm a variety gamer so I don't mind the variety in performance between titles (though Modded Minecraft would be fun!). Creative processes would only need to be limited to simple entry-level 3d modelling tasks in Blender. Other details: Hi! I was wondering if I could have some advice in optimising this build for a new gaming PC. The parts I'm struggling with are the CPU, Motherboard and Power Supply. I would be playing on a 144hrz monitor, 1440p. I will be buying the parts gradually, so hopefully they will be on sale. Thank you in advance! PCPartPicker Part List: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/FKvj7R CPU: Intel Core i5-12600KF 3.7 GHz 10-Core Processor ($289.00 @ Centre Com) CPU Cooler: Deepcool GAMMAXX AG400 ARGB 75.89 CFM CPU Cooler ($49.00 @ Centre Com) Motherboard: MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($285.00 @ Skycomp Technology) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory ($139.00 @ Amazon Australia) Storage: Lexar NM620 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($149.00 @ Mwave Australia) Video Card: XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB Video Card ($798.00 @ Scorptec) Case: Antec Performance 1 FT ATX Full Tower Case ($186.00 @ Scorptec) Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE GOLD 750 V2 FULL MODULAR 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($129.00 @ JW Computers) Total: $2024.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
  3. In the pursuit of constructing a high-performance PC, I’ve meticulously selected components that harmonize both efficiency and power. The chassis of choice is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG, a versatile enclosure that comfortably houses six hard drives. This allows for a substantial storage configuration, currently envisioned as six 2TB Seagate Barracuda internal drives, culminating in a voluminous 12TB of storage space. Yet, I remain open to the idea of integrating higher-capacity drives should the need for expanded storage arise. Complementing this, I’ve incorporated a Western Digital Black SN770 1TB NVMe SSD, elevating the total storage capacity to an impressive 13TB. This strategic amalgamation of storage solutions ensures a swift system response while maintaining ample space for extensive data accumulation. The proposed memory allocation consists of 64GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, ensuring fluid multitasking and proficient data management. Powering this ensemble is the Corsair RM650x power supply, a paragon of stability and efficiency. The graphical prowess is delivered by the XFX Speedster QICK308 Radeon RX 7600—a judicious selection that promises both performance and value. At the heart of the system lies the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, a formidable CPU that’s cooled by the Deepcool AK620 DIGITAL 68.99 CFM CPU Cooler, ensuring optimal thermal regulation. The foundation of this build is the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard, a future-ready platform that offers both robust performance and connectivity options. This setup is primarily engineered for tasks such as Unreal Engine development, and I believe it represents a significant enhancement over my previous configuration. However, I am eager to hear your expert opinions and recommendations for any potential refinements or alternatives that could further optimize this build for my intended use cases. yes it will be used for gaming.
  4. Budget (USD): 2500 Country: USA Im mostly gonna be playing overwatch but recently I have been dabbling into a handful of different titles like baulders gate, cod, 7days to die, sea of thieves, and I want to try arc as well Other details https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Bqf7qR so I have been kinda buying parts since black Friday and this is what I've ended up with for my new PC build, I just put it together on the 6th but unfortunately it doesn't post. I believe the issue is because I don't have enough 8 pin connectors for the GPU and I'm planning on swapping my power supply to something that works better. I have recently though realized while looking up my other parts that there's no info on the CPU cooler I ended up buying so I'm wondering if I should return that to get a trusted one or if this one's fine? I don't really need pripherals though I'm meaning to pick up one of the new 1440p 360hz oleds asap. with the 2 parts I'm most worried about, I'd need to return them in the next week if Its recommended I do that, but honestly if anyone has input on other parts of the build I'd love any help I could get since I haven't built in years
  5. Budget (including currency): 1400 USD Country: Kenya Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Backend software dev and single player RPG games. This is the first PC I am putting together, and given all the various parts ladders I wanted to make sure I have a good balance with parts and features for my budget. Goals: I am targeting 1440p 60fps at high detail in games. I don't care much for ray tracing, but if the game will play at 60 fps, why not. I am going to run Linux, so AMD is the reasonable choice here. Games: The games I will be playing are RPGs such as Jedi Survivor, God Of War, and Elden Ring DLC, Horizon FW and GTA VI when they come out on PC. Other Hardware: I currently have a 27" 1080p 144 Hz monitor, but I plan to get a new 1440p 144 Hz+ in around a month's time (not included in the budget). I bought a case 2 years go and have a keyboard, mouse and speakers Other Notes: I put the price in USD because I will be shopping on US platforms and in dollars. Shipping costs are not included either. If only US retailers put taxes on the listing prices. 6. Budget (including currency): No Limit Country: Turkey Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly games for now Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a great day! I want to build a new gaming PC and I'm seeking some advice. While I'm willing to invest in quality, I don't want to go overboard with spending. Here's the build I'm considering: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2QcXN6 If anyone has suggestions for optimizing this build or alternative recommendations, I'd love to hear them! Thank You!
  7. Looking for some help to see if this is good and cut some cost if possible without changing esthetics. hope this setup to be good for the next 5-10 years with minor updates. Budget (including currency): max 2500€ (plan to buy in 3-4 month's) Country: Belgium (Europe) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly for playing Sims 4, Cities Skylines I & II and other RTS and simulation games Other details : No existing parts and don't need peripheral's, plan to play 1440P and refresh rate of around 120Hz. 8. Budget (including currency): 30,000 MXN Country: Mexico Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Realistically, any game that can be played. I'm not super picky when it comes to playing every single game at an Ultra Preset, but I would like my games to perform well and at least look good. Mainly looking forward to finally Playing Cyberpunk on at least the high graphics preset running at more than 60 fps. It will also be used for graphic design programs, such as most of the Adobe Library (Premiere, Photshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects, etc.) Other details: Here's the PC Part Picker Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4MLkgB And in written form CPU: Intel Core i7-12700KF 3.6 GHz 12-Core Processor Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX ATX LGA1700 Motherboard RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive GPU: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply I'm also thinking of getting 3 extra iCUE SP120 RGB Elite Performance fans just in case. I was also looking into buying the Gigabyte M27Q-SA monitor, since it's not terribly expensive and its a 27 inch, 1440p, 170hz monitor which is just what I'm looking for, but a 27 inch, 1440p, 120hz monitor would also be perfectly fine. If you have any recommendations for a monitor around those specs that would be greatly appreciated. Is this a build that makes sense? If possible, I would like to stick with Nvidia and Intel since that's what I primarily know, but I'm not entirely closed off to trying AMD CPU's. Also, I'm not sure if the 12700KF is ok with a normal air cooler or looking into an AIO would be recommended, since I was also looking at the i7 13700KF, and that CPU can get really hot if not given proper care and I'm not sure if the same applies to the 12700KF. Thank you so much for your help in advance!

  10. Ok, so I've seen a few similar threads, but no definitive answer... Built this pc only weeks ago with brand new parts, did all the usual set up, updated BIOS, installed drivers etc... all working fine, then the first time I have the system running 3 monitors for more than 5 minutes, main monitor goes black. Odd part is, the pc still recognised the monitor as connected, the other 2 monitors still acted as though the display extended to the 1st monitor, and the 1st monitor was still shown in display settings. When it happens, the monitor's power button doesn't do anything, it remains lit (in white as though it's awake, instead of amber as though it was asleep) and the only way to get it running again is to disconnect the monitor's power and then reconnect. I've been troubleshooting for 2 days straight, attempts as follows: Restarted Unplugged and restarted Swapped cables (same monitor went black) Updated BIOS Windows update Checked event log (nothing significant) Tested monitor with another pc Sfc test (no issues) Memtest diagnostic (no errors) DDU then clean driver install EC reset Haven't had any luck; the screen blacks out anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours after a boot, no consistency. I've run the pc with task manager and other monitoring software open to try and spot CPU, GPU and RAM performance at the time of a black out, but nothing significant there... CPU temps average about 65°C and GPU about 55°C from what I've seen. Curiously, I had no issues when only 2 monitors were connected, but my GPU should be able to handle 4! 13. Hello everyone, So recently I've built a new pc from scratch, like a few weeks ago, everything was just amazing, and now these past few days the PC has been making some weird sounds from inside, my guess would be that it's coming from the motherboard, but can't tell where exactly. I have not picked it apart yet, will be doing that tomorrow, so I wanted to ask for suggestions here, maybe there is an easy fix, or no fix at all? Please let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. PC : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cnD428 IMG_2748.mov

First time poster here, but have been following LTT for some time. In short my current build, now 4 years and a bit old, while still perfectly viable Is starting to be at least in my mind a bit out of date. There seems to be two paths for me at this point. Do a new build Or upgrade GPU and optionally CPU This is my current build And with that out of the way, my current plan is to go with option 2, as in new GPU and/or CPU GPU is straightforward in my mind, thinking a Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT or similar, Sapphire brand has been mostly stable for me in the past Plus if I decide to get a new MB later this is transferable And now the biggest reason for me starting this thread, the CPU. thinking Ryzen 7 5800X or 3D variant. Given that my current MB is an AM4 socket that seems the best option, but it's also almost an obsolete one. And my reason for thinking it might be better to look at building a new one entirely. What I looking for from the readers of this is. Is an upgrade as I've written viable or should i look at different components? if i ultimately go with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D what air cooler would you recommend Is a completely new build a better option? Or am I just thinking too much (or not enough) and my build could work fine for another year or two. Thanks for your time

Multitasking. Basically i will be using it for University homework, some gaming, and just other general uses like watching youtube, twitch, netflix etc.. Other details: I would like suggestions if i can make this cheaper without affecting the cooling or performance, i would prefer 165hz plus, 2560 x 1440 resolution, i do multitask a lot so 32 gb ram is needed. if possible is there any way to also improve this laptop within my budget (especially cooling Australia is hot in summer ) Could someone please help me check the compatability, i checked and it should work, but this is my first build so im not so sure. I also need keyboard suggestions, im into tactile but not too loud, and 120% qwerty standard layout. not the one with weird L shaped enter button. All sugestions are greatly appreaciated Future plans for this pc: I would definitely be upgrading it. For now only plan for one monitor. i already have a like 5 year old phillips monitor so ill be using that maayyybee? But i do with to upgrade internals in the future. 20. Hello good folks, I wanted to get a pre built pc and someone is suggesting me to get xeon family chipsets for the PC. This is for architecture work and will run softwares like, AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, SketchUp and maybe a little of photoshop and illustrator. Should I go for the xeon chipsets? Or an i9 recent generation will be better. Let me know what y'all think. Thank you.

  22. I need some help, what should I upgrade first in my pc? Fortnite on the lowest settings is running at like 80-150 fps when actively playing but goes up to 250-300 fps when looking at the ground. What will give me that extra fps. So i have a really old rig (i7 4790, GTX 750Ti), and i want to upgrade it in the next month, within a budget, but still want to future proof a bit. I don't have to by peripherals or monitor cause i have a Lenovo Thinkvision T27hv-20, so i want to play in 2k 75hz. I picked out a list of parts, which i think will work, but to be 100% sure i wanted to ask you guys what you think about it. I already bought a used asus 3070 dual OC edition, for 340$, so my build is around that, and the PSU as new. So my build looks like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nvgjL9 . If you have anything wrong with it please tell me cause i'm a beginner with pc builds, i built the computer i have, but these parts are a bit higher price than i already have. Thanks in advance for everyone who helps me.
  24. Hi everyone! Trying to put together a new PC for my nephew. This is going to be a very high end PC with a budget at around $5000. Please feel free to come with recommendations. Intended use: Any games for the next 5 years. 5120x1440p ultrawide monitor. (Might switch RAM to 6000Mhz sticks)
  25. Budget (including currency): 3000-5000 USD Country: 3rd world country + Malaysia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web, varied gaming (I love simulation genre), games development, Stable Diffusion, 2D and 3D graphic apps, multitasking multi-monitor setup, etc. Hello, I have a PC that I’ve built myself in October 2019. This was my first PC bought using my own money, my first PC that I’ve built myself, and my first powerful PC. It has been almost 5 years and it’s almost fine, but I think the time has come for a new PC. It’s already at its limit, especially since I discovered Stable Diffusion. I’m a game developer, gaming, dabbling occasionally into 2D and 3D graphics, etc. Varied usage. I will be generously donating my current PC to my friend. So, my budget is around $3000-$5000, although don’t take this into account, because I’m from a third-world country where everything is overpriced and I will be buying PC parts both in my home country and in Malaysia where I’m going soon. In Malaysia, I will buy the Motherboard, GPU, SSD, and Cooler. I want you to check out my planned build and give me some expert advice. I think everything fits together nicely, I hope. Check out my comments about parts as well. I want my PC to last at least 10 years, if possible. Here's my current setup: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core @3.6GHz I didn’t have any problems with this CPU. GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC 8GB GDDR6 Unfortunately, I had several troubles with this GPU. From multi-monitor setup, to driver troubles and no support for Stable Diffusion. Also can’t play new games in 4K, even some in 2K Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism LED RGB I guess it’s fine? But loud. Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming RAM: Kingstone 2x8GB DDR4-3200 PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W Storage: Samsung M.2 SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB Monitor: Samsung U28E590D 28" 4K@60Hz TN+Film Well, it’s cheap... Case: Mid Tower Thermaltake Commander C35 Had some troubles while installing the PSU. It’s heavy and big. Here's what I'm planning CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core @4.2GHz OR AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16-Core @4.2GHz Honestly, I think 8 cores will be enough, but I’m a game developer, heavy multi-tasking, professional apps, etc. So I’m not quite sure. I heard certain things about 3D chips and something about their chiplet design, I don’t know. I think if I take a 16-core CPU then it will definitely last me 10 years, no? Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Elite So, I want a powerful but quiet cooler, I think I’m biased towards be quiet! German engineering and whatnot. GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080 Super Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6X OR Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24GB GDDR6X Yeah, big difference, obviously, I want the best GPU, although I’m not entirely sure because it’s almost time for a 5000 series, plus a 4080 Super is coming. I just hope if I take a 4090 it will last me at least 10 years! Eren Yeager moment. I trust the Gigabyte brand, plus they have an official store in Malaysia. Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650M-PLUS OR ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E Gaming Wi-Fi The only thing I want from a motherboard is: 2 RAM slots; 2 M.2 slots; Good VRM with a beautiful heatsink; Built-in IO Shield; At least 4 connectors for case fans, I don’t know how this works, unfortunately, I couldn’t configure this in my current PC. But I want my PC to be able to smart control case fans; And at least one USB Type-C. That’s it. I don’t care about motherboard size, I won’t be using anything besides a GPU... BUT The Gigabyte GPUs have an ANTI-SAG BRACKET which is screwed onto the motherboard, it should work with ATX, with others I don’t know. Having M.2 heatsinks is a nice addition. I think Asus motherboards look really cool, plus I kinda trust them as well although I heard a lot of bad things about them recently. RAM: Kingstone 2x16GB DDR5-6000 I don’t know what to say, I don’t understand anything about RAM. 32GB should be enough, I hit the limit at 16GB. I only want 32GB DDR5 with AMD EXPO. I’m thinking about picking up an RGB one PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 12 850/1000/1200W Again, I trust them. They have a nice feature, the only thing I don’t know is what wattage to pick. I read something about peak PSU efficiency, so I’m lost. I guess with a 4090 I will need at least 1200W or more! Storage: Kingston M.2 SSD Fury Renegade 4TB I will be re-using my current Samsung SSD as a Windows drive and this one will be for everything else. I heard there are a lot of problems with the new gen of Samsung SSDs and they don’t have 4TB options. Also, I have Kingston RAM, I guess this one should be fine as well. Right? Monitor: LG UltraGear 27GP95R-B 27" 4K@144Hz IPS I don’t care about 75/120/144/165+Hz, I don’t care, what will I do? Code in 120 FPS? All I want is a beautiful picture. So I went with IPS. No less than 27 inches, and no more than 30, ideally the same 28 inches. 3840x2160, no more no less, not curved, only 16:9, frameless design, adjustable stand, I don’t want a mounting bracket. I want micro-LED but I guess they won’t come in ages. I DO want OLED but I won’t be getting one, I abuse my monitor heavily so burn-ins are guaranteed for me. Case: Mid Tower be quiet! PURE BASE 500FX Again - be quiet! 4 pre-installed fans, lighter and smaller than my current case, better filters, even insulation mats I like it! What can you say about this build? I’m all ears! Should I buy max specs, or maybe I should buy everything else maxed out and then buy an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a 4070 Ti Super or something, and then just upgrade when new AMD CPUs and Nvidia GPUs are released? Thank you!
