Hi I have recently moved across country and my motherboard got roughed up in shipping and now refuses to boot and gets stuck with the DRAM Led light on without posting, have taken it out of the case etc and benched it and all other parts work in other systems but I have noticed a capacitor having been displaced off of the motherboard and for the life of me I cannot find free diagrams for the board for what part I would need to order. Can anyone enlighten me as I don’t want to order the wrong part and cause more issues.

5800X3D or 5900X. I am leaning towards the X3D as I usually play at 1080p 75fps. But what do you think. DONT COUNT PRICE as they are both going at the same price right now. I will be using this pretty much just for gaming.

I am making a build with Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and I was wondering if I could get away with 3200MHZ ram (as it comes included with motherboard)? So should I stick with the included ram, or buy 3600mhz ram? I've heard that 3800mhz cl14 ram is the best for 5800X3D but that stuff costs 500 bucks. The GPU isnt decided, but probably going to be old GPU (probably 10 series) till I can afford a proper probably 30 series card.

Anyone know where to get one of these? It's off of a Sony DCR-VX2000 or a DCR-VX2100 or DCR-VX2100E microphone. Does anyone have one/ know where to get one?

I don't even know what to call this part and don't know where to find replacements. Can anyone help on it? Photos attached below. Came off of a Sony CD Carousel. It's a rolling wheel that's attached to the bottom of the metal cage and has the actual carousel roll over it to minimize resistance (carousel uses 5 of these). Effectively it serves the same purpose of a ball bearing or the wheels on certain kinds of conveyor belts.

I recently made a list of all the components I am planning to buy for my new rig. What do you guys think of this list? Is everything compatible? Good components? https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/user/Cedd/saved/YxfcTW Thanks in advance! PS: the psu is different because for some weird reason it wasn't on pcpartpicker so it is actually the 650W version!

Hey! I'm looking to build a new pc around 1200-1500$ and I wonder if I should wait for new pc hardware launches such as the upcoming "Big navi" or "rtx 3000"? I mostly play games with competitive settings at 240 fps, but i would also like to play 1440p lower fps racing games. Since I'm a student, I will be at home the following months and would like to have an upgrade over my current rig with a 1050 ti and a core i5 4570. Because of this reason i would like to build my new pc now if the upcoming launches won't bring much more to the table. I live in Sweden and pc parts are in stock at the usual prices, so that isn't an issue.

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my pc from a fx6100(biggest mistake of my life) To a Intel i5 8600k. But these days om not that invested in pc's anymore because of the Neverending rotation of new pc parts. So I would like to ask some help/ your suggestions of parts. Note that best bang for the buck is central in the build, but higher end may also be welcome if in your mind it's the better way to go. PC priorities: it has to be fast and silent(please give me some tips in the silent part, my current PC drives me nuts) I prefer atx Form factor. What I'm looking for. 1. I5 8600k 2.mobo(oc because of k series) 3. Ram(16gig 2stick) 4. Allin one liquid cooler. 5. psu (has to support at least 1080ti no sli/ future high end cards 1180ti?????) 6. Case mid tower or large tower (s340 elite? Or something that looks as good) 7.better case fans? (optional) For now that is all, for gpu I will be sticking with my gtx770 because prices and all and will probably pick up 1 when the new gpu lineup land. As for a ssd I got one but when I'll be upgrading that thing I was thinking on taking a m.2 ssd Also for the case I don't really care about the side panel it doesn't have to be transparent the thermals and silent part are more important. If I missed something please fill in. In the picture below is what I thought would be fairly decent. note, ignore the gpu and the ssd that will be for a later date. So what I think for the upgrade i would like to allocate 1000euro/1200dollars less is always better. (you don't have to bother exchanging the vultas if your in the US I'll do that when I'll start looking at my local pc web stores for the parts If you are missing any information please ask me. Sorry if the post is unclear or something does not follow the guidelines, I'm not that good at posting on forums and I try my best to. Be as clear as possible. Thank you in advance, Nick.

build VR and 4K(SILENT)Gaming Build for 1300-1450€?
ManemeJeff posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey I want to make a PC that is able to play games on high settings and able to be VR-Future Proof or at least nowadays vr games so (GPU:) A 1080Ti is a must! CPU:The CPU should not drag my gpu's @ss aka bottleneck the gpu. Case: The Case has to be a silent case, maybe NZXT H440? Mainboard: if Possible KEEP THIS ONE: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/nZdFf7/msi-b350m-mortar-arctic-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b350m-mortar-arctic Budget is 1300€ or if you need more 1450€. Storage: SSD: 128-240GB Why? because I have to get a watercooler and a 1080Ti so I would get along with a small storage ssd and would upgrade a month later once cash flows in. COOLING: If possible please put in an AiO Watercooling Kit that is capable of cooling. The Tubes must be Clear visible and the Waterblock should be as well. Try to get a silent AiO even if it throws away some performance! Maybe look over my build? https://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/Cpp/saved/Bymf7P -

Hi, I am looking for some help with a new build that I am thinking of. I currently have a prebuilt system that I am running Freenas on but the hardware isn't up to scratch as it only has 16GB of RAM and I need more as ZFS is RAM hungry. The old system is not worth upgrading so I thought that I will start a new build and maybe use the current system as a backup system only. So here is my dilemma, there are so many parts to choose from and everyone has their own opinion on what parts are the best parts to pick. I will start by telling you what I would like the system to do, I am currently using the system as a NAS that holds multiple datasets (this is pretty basic and most hardware will support this), I am also currently running a plex media server for my entertainment needs. I am looking to expand the system to use VirtualBox in a jail so that I can access my virtual machines from a web browser. This is where it starts to get interesting as RAM becomes more of an issue. I may also in the future want to expand the system with the plugins that Freenas contains. So what I have been thinking; after watching the video that Wendell put out when he used to be at TekSyndicate, I figured that I should factor 64GB of RAM for my system as I will be running Virtual machines and running Freenas, this also opens up opportunities to use deduplication which is a RAM hungry feature. Currently I am using 4X4TB drives with redundancy and I am getting close to the 8TB limit so I would like to add 6x6TB drives. I will also have 2 SSD drives to speed up the jails operation and a further single SSD as cache for the system. There are so many choices for CPUs and motherboards, this is where I would like some help if someone would be so kind. I have been told by some people to use ECC RAM and some that say it is not necessary with Freenas, any input I am sure will help. As a budget, I do not have a budget yet as I would like to see how much the system would cost but I would imagine that I do not want to go more than £1500 without drives (I know how expensive these drives can be). If you are interested, the current system is a HP Microserver with an intel celeron @ 2.3GHz, 16GB RAM, 4x4TB WD red drives, 500GB SSD for jails operation, HP motherboard. CPU: ? RAM: 64GB Motherboard: ? Hard-drives: 6X6TB NAS Drives (Don't know which ones), 3x500GB SSD (Haven't picked one yet) PSU: ? Case: ? (I was thinking about rack mounting in the future, would prefer to use SATA cables from the drives to the motherboard if we can find a motherboard with an appropriate number of SATA ports) Cooler: ? (I am sure I would be able to find a suitable one after I have come to a decision on the CPU but recommendations are welcome) Thank you for taking the time to reading my long post. I am new to this forum and this is my very first post.
