Hi all, for some reason I cant seem to overclock my RX580 when it's in the performance bios mode. Is this normal? More specifically, I can't move the core frequency or voltage numbers. Tried it both in MSI afterburner, and in AMD radeon software, but in both programs it jumps back to the default values after I press apply. quiet bios works fine, but it only allows 20% power limit increase for example instead of 50%. Tried uninstalling stuff with DDU in safe mode, and reinstall the drivers, nothing changed. Is there anything I can do?

Hello, thank you first for trying to help me, much appreciated. I recently bought a new pc and i play a bunch of games currently (League, lost ark and csgo for now). Whenever i play some cs i keep having BSOD with "irql not less or equal" or "apc index mismatch" error. I found some topics online speaking about how Overclocking of the ram can cause those stuff and i tried going into my bios and turn off the OC and it worked but i still wanna use my ram full potential so i checked some more and now i wonder if the profile i have for overclocking is good or not. As idk much i thought about asking online for people telling me if its good or not and what should i do about it. Thank you all again for your help, im thankful for the people taking time to read and help others ! Here are my pcs specs : - :MSI Gaming-Tower MAG Vampiric 100R - MSI MPG A750GF 750 Watt (80+ Gold) - Gigabyte B560M DS3H, Intel B560 - Intel Core i5 11400F 6x 4.4GHz - 16GB DDR4-RAM PC-3200 (2x 8GB) - Nvidia GeForce RTX3070 Ti 8GB, beliebiger Hersteller here is the CPU-Z display about my ram : and here is my bios settings : (sorry about the quality wasn't very clever to highlight this line, it says DDR4-3200 16- 18- 18- 36-74-1.35 )

Hey everyone, it's good to be here. I have a i7 9700k a gigabyte RTX 2070 super 16 gb of ddr4 3600 ram I'm a noob when it comes to graphics cards. I've noticed that when i'm playing games my temp is always around 50-60 degrees. Even when i'm playing a very demanding game, my temps don't go up. I know that's supposed to be a good thing but i was wondering: when i play ffxv with everything at ultra, i get around 25-30 fps. If my fps is that low, shouldn't my graphics card be struggling to handle the game ? So shouldn't my temps be higher than 50 degrees ? and that was when it was overclocked. I really appreciate the help.

Hey, I have a few Questions that i just don't find answers for. Thats my configuration right now: Slot #1 & Slot #2 = 2* Samsung 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill Slot #3 & Slot #4 = 2* SK Hynix 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill I wonder if it would "decrease" Performance or "async" the Infinity Fabric if: 1. I would Overclock Slot #1 & Slot #2 (with the "better overclocking capable" Samsung DRAM) to something like 2800 MHz CL12-34, but keep the Overclock of the Slot #3 & Slot #4 (with the "worse overclocking capable" SK Hynix DRAM)? 2. I would further overclock all Slots to 2400MHz CL12-34? 3. I would overclock the Infinity Fabric to 1800MHz but keep the DRAM at 2800 MHz CL14-36? Thats my System: CPU = Ryzen 5 5600X MB = MSI B550-A PRO RAM = G.Skill 32GB 3200MHz CL16-38 ^^ 2* Samsung 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill ^^ 2* SK Hynix 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill GPU = RX 6800 XT Midnight Black 16GB 2400MHz@990mV MPT 345W max. As i already sad in the Title, the "Prefered Core Selection" in Windows 11 is pretty Bad. I have an 5600X with 4,8GHz on the BEST Core and 3,8GHz on all the others. Windows is grabing my WORST Core to do the Single Core work, this is quite bad, not only because it is the worst performing Core, but also because the Core is clocking 1GHz lower then the "Best Core". So im loosing 32%** in Cinebench (R23) Single Core and CPU-Z Single Core. **(If i have all cores but the best on 3,8GHz, with PBO i loose maybe 15-17%) Thats just what i could measure, because i selected the core i want it to use (best one) in the Task Manager and got 32% more Performance out of the Benchmark. I can't just Overclock the "worst" core and be Happy with it because it can only do about 4,6GHz Stable.. Thats not worth the Multi Core decrease when all the other Cores stop boosting! My question is can i manually set wich Core Windows 11 should use? This is what it right now looks like I Think you can see whats going wrong, its using the C01 (seen in HwInfo64 this is my WORST Core ) instead of the C02 (#2) or the C06 (#1). My System: CPU = Ryzen 5 5600X MB = MSI B550-A PRO RAM = G.Skill 32GB 3200MHz CL16-38 ^^ 2* Samsung 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill ^^ 2* SK Hynix 8GB 2800MHz 1R CL14-36 G.Skill GPU = RX 6800 XT Midnight Black 16GB 2400MHz@990mV MPT 345W max. i got 130+ on the core anad 1100 on the memory stable, but if i go any further than 130 the card instant crashes and reboots. my vram hovers at 90c wich idk if that is good or bad. my normal gpu temp monitor says 63c under full load though, so it seems to me like i could actually get more performance out of it, but ive never overvolted before so, thats why i came here. afterburner settings specs i5 9600k (yes i know its a bottleneck) RTX 3090 Founders edition Asrock z390 pro4 motherboard full atx 850 w 80+ gold psu 64gb cl16 3200mhz ram (oloy) afterburner settings

Hello LTT community! I have succeded in overclocked my AMD Ryzen 7 3800x to about 4.75GHz @1.45V, however due to the high voltage, it runs quite hot. I think I can get it lower, but I also want to round out the clock to 4.5Ghz all core. Any tips on how to do this? Thanks! Hello everyone, I am trying to build a PC and am gonna need an RTX 3070Ti. I have two options, both at a similar price. Option 1: NewEgg Bundle https://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4466628 with an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Option 2: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GAMING Trinity OC From B&H Photo. They both will have similar prices here, in Canada. I will try to sell off the Motherboard in the bundle. I might also try to sell the PSU and get a SeaSonic FOCUS PX 850 W. In your opinion is the OC variant worth the extra money and hassle with importing, or should I just buy the one from NewEgg. Can you somehow overclock the Non-OC variant? Does overclocking these GPUs even make a difference? Thank you a ton! PS: Should I try to sell the PSU and buy a SeaSonic, or should I just use this one?

Hello everyone. I have an older PC that still runs very well. I won't be changing my 6700k yet so i wanted to overclock it which is a reason why i bought this CPU back then. PSU, case fans and case are not quite good and i'll be changing them soon. This is long and i'm not an expert so please bear with me. PC: i7-6700K, Z170 Pro Gaming AURA, Hyper 212 EVO, 2x8 Fury 2666, HyperX Fury 240GB 2.5" SSD, Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD, WD Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5", TT Smart 730 W 80+, GTX 1060, 2 stock case fans I tried couple of different OC settings just changing ratio and vcore in manual mode. Ai overclock Tuner was set to XMP. I didnt try adaptive or offset modes until i get a stable system. I ran only Realbench benchmarks for these first 4 just to see how it goes step by step. 4.2Ghz at 1.250v 2 x Benchmarks OK 4.3Ghz at 1.250v 2 x Benchmarks OK 4.4Ghz at 1.250v 2 x Benchmarks OK 4.5Ghz at 1.300v passed 1 benchmark but BSOD happened after the second benchmark. Temperatures were mostly fine for all tests with max at 71/72C but mostly between 60 and 70 when under load (for 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4). After that BSOD i cant even go for 4.4Ghz with 1.250v or 1.275v. Benchmark passes well but AIDA64 stops saying "Hardware failure detected". It fails after 10 minutes at 1.250 and after 20minutes at 1.275. 4.2Ghz and 4.3Ghz at 1.250v still work well. I just tried 4.5Ghz at 1.325v and i ran Realbench Benchmark and AIDA64. CPUZ showed vcore at 1.328 but AIDA64, AI Suite and HWmonitor show vcore at 1.344 and 1.360. Temperatures got higher with max at 83/84 while mostly being between 65 and 75. I stopped AIDA64 after 33 minutes while it failed at 4.4Ghz 1.275v after 20minutes. It seems stable but temperatures are high and i'd like core voltage to be lower. Whatever ratio and vcore i set in Bios, vcore is shown a bit higher in AIDA64, HWmonitor and CPUZ but never drops when idling. When i revert to stock, set everything on auto and run benchmark and Aida64, vcore is above 1.3 (mostly 1.36 and 1.376) which i'm not happy about especially at 4Ghz. It does drop to 0.7/0.8 when idling. Why is vcore always higher than vcore set in Bios? Why is vcore at stock settings so high? What type of adaptive/offset and LLC settings should i try? Could i set lower vcore for 4.5Ghz and would that lower my temperatures to under 75 or so? Should i do some other tests too? I'm not trying to get to some high OC levels and chip might not be able to go far but i'd like to get 4.5Ghz at good temperatures and reasonable core voltage. Any suggestions highly appreciated. Thanx and sorry for the long post.

Hi! So, I have a Zephyrus G14, and I have my RTX 3060 set at 95 Watts and am loving the performance increase. I was just wondering if I could bump it up to 130 watts with no issue as a redditor said that doing that may cause VRM issues and I'm scared of my GPU dying. The original TGP was 80 watts and a 50-watt increase may be a bit much for this laptop GPU. Thanks!

I plan to buy an used 5700xt when the mining craze is done, and play with it (I come from a 980ti which can have it's bios modded for unlimited potential, so standards are high). Do the powerplay tables offer voltage control over the gddr6? Or perhaps other rails which may benefit memory overclocking? With core overclocking being so underwhelming, I'm thinking a healthy 950-1000mhz memory clock will boost performance significantly.

I have bought an Asus B560 board (TUF Gaming B560M) and cant find the multi core enhancement option. Is this something supported only on the Z boards? I have attached 11400f on the board. Also if that is not available are the other option that can "overclock" this cpu on this board?

Good evening, boys and girls. I've never overclocked before, and whem you see my cooling set up you will think I'm a lunatic for not. I just overclocked my CPU from 4.2ghz stock to 5.0ghz at 1.32 volts. I just ran a stress test with Intel Extreme Utility for 30 minutes, and the temperatures cruised at 70 degrees Celsius. Is that even possible? Thats not even 15 degrees over the temperatures when I ran the test at stock! Is it possible my PC is misreporting the temperatures? RELEVENT SPECS CPU: i7 7700k 5ghz, 1.31 volts, delidded, Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal on the inside, Kryonaut on the outside. COOLER: Noctua NH-D15 FANS: 5 bequiet Silent Wings 2 case fans, (4 140mm intakes, 3 front, 1 bottom, and 1 120mm rear exhause) 2 SIlent WIngs 3 fans (used to be attached to a radiator) CASE: bequiet Silent Base 801 with airflow front panel from 802 model As you can see I have a very premium cooling solution, but I did all that to make my computer quiet, as you can see from the BeQuiet case and 6 fans. By the way, the system was completely silent up until I did the stress test. I was successful! But I need more performance now. If this really is how much thermal headroom I have, what is the limit here? SiliconLottery archives say the highest quality chips can push 5.3 ghz at 1.4 volts pls help? I guess my CPU would be dead by now if something was really wrong. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I tried to set my RAM to it's advertised speed of 3466mhz, I did this in the bios by enabling xmp, and when I start my computer back up, I get the speed. The problem is, if I restart my computer or shut it down and turn it back on later, the speed goes down to 2400mhz. When I check the bios after this happens, the xmp is off and the ram speed is set to 2400mhz. Even when I try to clock the ram to a lower speed like 3000mhz or add more voltage, the speed still goes down to 2400mhz after a restart. What can I do to keep the speed at 3466mhz? I HAVE DONE IT! My first time overclocking, let’s just say my PC did not post. This time, I only overclocked my RAM from 3200mhz to 3333mhz. And it posted first try! I felt so proud because I was expecting a no-post again. Also, a few days ago I turned on CPB for my 5900X.

Can someone please help help guide me in what RAM I need to buy? I want to get 2x8 GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro but I'm not sure which MHz I should get I have found a place that sells the two different models I'm looking at for a mere €5 difference the 3200 and 3600 MHz options, the motherboard I have is an Aorus X570 Elite and I just want to know if I choose the 3600 MHz option on the RAM will I be ok? I presume I will have to overclock the RAM to some degree. (if anyone can help with that also that would be much appreciated) I'm really not sure which is the best option as i can seem to find much information regarding this exact topic. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

Should I overclock my RAM? I am at 3200mhz for my 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM. I want to overclock it to like 3266mhz, or something slightly higher than the stock speed. I feel like it’ll make my PC unstable, but I have a 5900x, RTX 3060 Ti LHR, and a lot of cooling, so should I do it?

Hello, I recently did a small overclock to my CPU before upgrading and it did marvels for my i7-4790k. I've never done the process with a GPU and was wondering about if it's safe to do in an air cooled system. Unfamiliar waters here so I know there's always an inherent risk, but I don't know if it's at the level that this overclock will fry my card in a year or something crazy. Just trying to gauge how taxing it will be. I don't want to be looking for a card in this climate; damn scalpers. Thanks for taking the time for my newbie questions/ concerns and if you have any overclocking tips much appreciated. Hi! My name is Prem. I'm from India and I'm 17 and I have recently build my first ever pc in my life and due to the current price hike, it cost me around 2 times the normal price. It cost me around 650 Canadian dollars including win 10 pro license as well. Here are the specs:- CPU - Athlon 3000g RAM - Kingston Fury 3200 MHz 8*2 (16GB) DDR4 CL16 MoBo - MSI B450m Pro VDH Max PSU - Antec VS600L Storage: Scavenged WD 320GB 7200 rpm HDD from Dell Inspiron one AIO 19 + 250 GB Seagate HDD + Kingston SATA 3 SSD 128 GB + ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 256GB (BOOT DRIVE) So, I tried overclocking it at the first boot but it crashed. The next time I managed to overclock CPU to 3.7 GHz and support 3200 MHz RAM completely but I couldn't find a way to O.C. my GPU in the Bios. I do have the latest bios version and all drivers up to date. The afterburner software seems to not work at all as whenever I press apply it resets all the frequencies back to default I mean only option available to me in the first interface is GPU clock and memory clock out. Then I used Ryzen Master, With this buddy I was able to clock my RAM as well as GPU only and that too for only one time after the first required reboot. after shutting my pc down and running it on the next day resets my GPU clocks to the factory settings no matter what. I did saved the profile and did everything I could. My main disappointment is that I couldn't find any settings, not even a word related to GPU or i-GPU in my motherboard BIOS. The daily process I've to go through with the Ryzen Master app is quite frustrating now for me. I hope somebody could suggest me a solution PLEASE...!!!

i just do some overclocking to my CPU and wondering if this settings is good or bad, i dont think i have the best CPU, but is this setting good enough ?, i just finished 30 mins of cinebench R23 stability test and seems like its stable enough for daily gaming and video rendering ?, i tried at lower Vcore, but it seems like i cant get any lower from this, otherwise it crashes after 3rd cinebench run Cinebench score( Windows 11, not fresh install ) : BIOS Settings : My Full PC Spec : Intel i7-10700KF Asus ROG STRIX Z490-F G.Skill TridentZ Neo 2 x 8GB 3200MHz Inno3d GTX 1080TI iChill Herculez( the same pcb as FE ) Corsair H110i 280mm AiO Corsair RM650X 650W Fully Modular PSU Corsair 400C Case Samsung 970 EVO 250GB NVME Adata SX8200 Pro 500GB NVME WD Blue 2 TB 7200RPM Toshiba 1 TB 2.5" 5400RPM

So as this little adventure goes, I made the (seemingly) fatal mistake of listening to self proclaimed nerds claiming 1.2 volts is the max safe voltage for the SOC. Now I was already overclocking my ram before and it worked like a charm. So I figured I'd try messing with this UCLK and soc voltage spiel, and lo and behold, my PC cut off and wouldn't stay on. So I unplugged the power for a while to drain the cmos battery, and now the thing is at least booting up. But now my monitor refuses to receive a signal. Red lights keep flashing on the motherboard for the cpu and the dram, on and off between each other, accompanied with debug code 92. So what gives here? Is my ram fucked? Power supply?

hey friends, here's a pickle, I've just been fiddling around with the oc settings on my new Ryzen 5950x custom build, I'm not really sure what I did, I wanted to try my base speed at 4.5ghz and tweaked some of the limits, and when I booted up everything was doin fine as expected, and running some test I was getting great scores, then I took a call and the pc went to sleep, when I came back and woke it up the cpu running speed shows up in task manager as 5.94ghz, base speed still at 4.5ghz, after making sure it was running at normal temps I tried a few runs in timespy and cinabench 23 and completely annihilated the score board never running hotter than i feel safe, then I restarted and looked at the bios and the settings were still where I had set them, so upon booting up the base speed and running speed returned to 4.5ghz, I manually put it to sleep after I woke it up I get 5.94ghz running speed and dominating the benchmarks again, I know there's plenty I don't understand, but if someone can explain what settings I accidentally stumbled onto to get this result, id like to actually set it on purpose.
