Hi Everyone, Just curious but my pair of headphones have a 6.35mm jack by default and it came along with a 3.5mm converter/adapter that I use all the time. I was looking up DACs and saw 6.35mm as an option. Is there a difference in terms of output for audio quality ? Does it matter? Just wondering if anyone out there would know because I genuinely have no idea what a 6.35mm jack is for and why anyone would need it for a pair of headphones. Please enlighten my scrubby-ness!

Hi guys, I currently have a system with an AMD a10 7700k and an amd r7 250, I'm planing to build another system using just the same graphics card but I have a couple of questions about video outputs of am4 motherboards. As far as I know ryzen chips don't have integrated graphics, in my current build I use 4 video outputs, 2 from the graphics card an 2 from the motherboard so, Can I use motherboard's video outputs in an am4 motherboard? I need to use them because that graphics card doesn't support more than 2 video outputs. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I recently bought the Kraken PRO V2 headset and I plugged them into the back of my pc straight into the motherboard jacks. If I'm recording my voice while in a game you can hear (much lower then my voice) on the voice recording the game sound, music etc. My microphone is picking up output sound and I don't understand why.Things I tried to do:- update to the latest Realtek driver ( My audio chipset is ALC1220)- plugging them in front of the caseNothing worked...Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!

I'm trying to play my movie audio through my pc speakers as well as a tv that are in the same room but have run into a delay between outputs. Anyone know how to fix this or play it synchronized some other way? Thx

Bit of an odd one here, my main moniter uses a dvi to dvi cable, with no adapters to speak of. I installed a liquid cooler in my pc, and then my dvi monitor only showed static when booted up. I tried with my second monitor, using a vga cable with a dvi converter on the end, into the same dvi port on my GTX 760, and it worked fine. I tried the dvi monitor in both my dvi ports, and was greeted with the same static. At this point i decided to try and plug it into the dvi port on my server, where it worked completely fine. It seems as though i have ruled out all possible broken parts, but for whatever reason the combination of dvi cable and gtx 760 doesnt work, while vga-dvi adaptor and gtx 760 works, while dvi and eah5640 works as well.

What connector does this old nintendo console need to output to a display?
Guest posted a topic in General Discussion
Hello everyone, So I have this old Nintendo console that my dad used to own and I thought that I would fire it up for the first time and play some retro games, I looked on the back of the console and there were 2 ports, my question is, what connector is used and what port is used to output to a display? I looked around the house for the specific cable, but couldnt find one, where could I find one? -
Hi so as titled. My AudioBox USB cannot seem to recognize both my input (i.e. a condenser microphone that came with it that requires phantom power, and I have enabled phantom power) and output (i.e. a pair of headset I plugged into its back as monitor) at the same time WHILE I am running apps such as OBS and Discord or even Any Games. By output I actually mean I could only hear either my voice OR the system sound, more often the earlier. This is weird because In both OBS and Discord I have set the desktop output audio device as the "speaker (AudioBox USB)" which is my headset because it is plugged into the AudioBox USB itself as monitor, and the Mic/Auxiliary Input Device as the "Line (AudioBox USB)" which is my condenser mic that is plugged into the front of the AudioBox USB as it requires phantom power (48V). I have uploaded some recordings I have made with OBS and everything I've mentioned, and you'll see that in the first video which is immediately after I have disabled and enabled the input settings I mentioned in OBS my mic didn't even register and I couldn't even hear my voice (believe me I was speaking into it, but you could see the bar in the audio section of OBS it didn't even budge). Then in the second video was when I closed the program and re-opened it, this time my mic registers and I could hear myself, but all system sounds had been overridden (muted). The same happens when I'm using Discord while gaming with one small difference: the chat audio (still no system or game audio anywhere though) is now being played through the display monitor's (I mean the actually monitor I stare at for hours) cheap speakers, and I literally hear NOTHING AT ALL from my headset that is still plugged into the AudioBox. This problem has been bugging me since I've started recording for Youtube and the only solution I could come up with was record a game without my voice so that the system sound and thus the game sound could be recorded and then do an after-production voice overlay using Corel Studio Pro X7, which if you couldn't tell by the sound of it yet it is a painful task because there are a lot of alignment issues that I had to fix. I searched online and appearently it has something to do with the AudioBox overriding the system audio so I have to set AudioBox USB as my default audio device in windows AND to allow background sound in OBS. I did those, but the problem is still there... So I am running out of juice here. I cannot do a painful 5-6 hours after-production overlay every time when I could've just recorded my voice along with the game. Any thoughts or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post. Here are my system's specs: CPU: i5-7600K @ 3.8GHz GPU: Zotac GTX1070 MB: Asrock Z270M-ITX/AC RAM: 16Gb RAM @ 2400Hz Here is a link to the same AudioBox USB I am using: https://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-USB 1. No Mic sound.mp4 2. No System sound.mp4

Hello, I am in need of a monitor that can put out around 18 watts. preferably at 1920x1080 as I don't need the extra resolution. It must be relatively small

So Guys , I Have some problem with "resolution" . My HDMI port on my monitor is broke (idk why) . So I have to use a vga port . but My Graphic Card doesnt have VGA port output , so I use DVI to VGA converter instead of HDMI to VGA converter because I think HDMI port on my graphic card is a little bit broke too . And the problem start here . usually when i use HDMI on my monitor the resolution is 1600x900 . but right now that i use DVI to VGA the resolution is max at 1440x900 . Whenever I try to make it to 1600x900 , it just go crazy (not playable) . Why ? Should I buy Mini Displayport to VGA converter ?

Good afternoon everyone, I've been having a strange issue for the past couple weeks with my audio driver, and I haven't been able to find a good solution. The problem is this: when playing a game, my audio output will occasionally "switch" on its own, making the game crash and the sound temporarily stop working. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it'll switch from, say, "Samsung-8" to "Samsung-0". When this happens, I have to open the sound playback, and manually set the new one to default. I have my audio running out of my GPU via HDMI into a receiver, which then runs the video to my TV. When this switch or whatever happens, the video will stay unaffected, save for the game crashing.I've tried reinstalling the drivers to no avail, and I don't want to switch to using optical out, as the sound quality isn't as good. My specs are: i7 5820k MSI X99-A SLI Plus 2x MSI 970's in SLI (the problem started before I added the second GPU) 4x4gb Corsair DDR4 Vengence 250gb Samsung 840evo 1tb Seagate Barracuda 3tb Seagate Barracuda Carsair HX1050 PSU Thanks for the help in advance, Ya'll are the best.

Hi everyone! I have a HP Chromebook X2 and a HP Spectre x360 laptop and I would like to know if can use any of the chargers on each device independently of the charging speed. I just don't want to damage them. These are the specifications for both chargers: --- means a solid line above a dashed line Chromebook charger output: 5V --- 3A, 9V --- 3A, 12V --- 3A, 15 --- 3A. Laptop charger output: 5V --- 3A, 9V --- 3A, 10V --- 5A, 12V --- 5A, 15V --- 5A, 20V --- 4.5V Thank you!

To start this off, most of the time i am using my Bluetooth headset. Most of the time i keep it on a good charge, not to mention it charges fast and keeps the charge for a long time. Anyway, when my headset tells me it's on a low battery, i just turn it off and put it on the charger. However, my audio devices seem to get confused and won't switch over the sound from the games i would be playing at the moment, such as Minecraft and Runescape (OSRS and RS3). The only way to fix this is to close and reopen the program. While this is a simple solution, this can be a test of patience with the wait time (especially with Minecraft and loading all my mods). I have tried switching the device before and after it's disconnected, both ended with the same results. Reconnecting the device doesn't bring the sound back either. Also connecting the headphones while sound from the games is still playing through the speakers won't switch over to the new device. it will keep playing through the speakers. Browsers and media programs switch between devices just fine. I want to know if there is a third party program that can switch the main audio output device to tell my computer to play all sound through that. Or if not that, then some other solution.

1660 ti Plz, list all 1660 ti(s) that have DVI ports in them.
Mr.Stork posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I wanna buy a 1660 ti, but have a DVI monitor, no I don't wanna buy adapters, Idk what brands make dvi-d ports, except for GALAX. So please list all known brands/1660 ti having DVI ports. Also, it's better if it's available in India. Not a necessity. -
Hey guys, can you explain me why the output is "1" when I input for a = "9" and b = "7"? import javax.swing.*; public class Calculate { public static void main(String[] args) { String inputA, inputB; int a, b; inputA = JOptionPane.showInputDialog(null, "a: "); inputB = JOptionPane.showInputDialog(null, "b: "); a = Integer.parseInt(inputA); b = Integer.parseInt(inputB); while(a > 0 && b > 0) { if(a > b) { a = a - b; } else { b = b - a; } } if(b == 0) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "a : " + a); } else { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "b: " + b); } System.exit(0); } } Thank you in advance!

Hey guys, I have the following code that I have given in a task sheet but in the results the output and the explanation of it is different than what the code outputs. public class Main { //create mainmethode public static void main(String[] args) { //declare Variables int d1, d2, help, count; //initialize Variables d1 = 23; d2 = 5; help = 0; count = 0; help = d1; while(help >= d1) { help = help - d2; count++; } //Output System.out.println(d1 + " " + d2 + " " + count + " " + help); } } So the output is But the result should be (taking from the result of the task sheet) ...because, the program is dividing 23 with 5 and the output is the first number + number that it divides with + multiplier + rest. At least this should be the output, but I copied the code 1:1 and when I go through the while loop I don't get the result. Can you please explain me what is wrong? Thanks in advance.

Earlier today I tried to turn on my computer it turned on, but there was no video output. I turned it off, unplugged it let it sit plugged it back in, same thing, I also noticed my keyboard and mouse did not light up. I turned it off and looked all lights are on in the computer, I know it isn't the monitors. I use a gtx 1050ti, I tried another card in a different pci slot, that did not fix it. I then just pulled out my ram, now I use a asus m5a97 r2.0 motherboard and it has memok and the usual light if there is a problem with the ram. I turned on my computer, no beeping from the motherboard the light did not come on either. When it is on, all fans spin in my psu, gpu, pump works and disk drive and hard drives start spinning up and rgb lights turn on. Sometimes when I flipped the switch, and flipped it again, the motherboard wouldn't light up and nothing would work. So I unplug my psu from the wall and only sometimes with the motherboard light up. My full spec list is a amd fx 8370, gtx 1050ti, asus m5a97 r2.0, corsair vengeance ddr3 2*8, a Thermaltake 750 watt psu, and a corsair aio.

Hello, I've been working on a python program that reads a file instead of inputs. However, there seems to be a problem in my program and it won't read after the first line of the file, so I'm only getting part of the outputs. Here's the file: Prob.06.in WORKING WORKING WORKING WORKING WORKING BROKEN BROKEN WORKING BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN And here's the code: from math import * txt = "Prob06.in.txt" file = open(txt,"r") a=file.read() state = a.split() pos = "W" neg = "B" i=0 n=0 while i < 4: if state[i].startswith(neg): n += 8/(2**i) elif not state[i].startswith(pos): print("invalid entry 1") i+=1 LED = ('off','red','green','blue') LED2= int(n % 4) LED1= int((n - LED2)/4) print(LED[LED1], LED[LED2]) The output of this program should be: off off red green blue blue But the output I'm getting is: off off Thankyou in advance!

Hello there, My new (ish) PC that I built months ago has been giving me trouble and not sending an output signal to my monitor sometimes. If it's already running, there are no issues, but if I put it to sleep for the day, it won't come back on the next day 50% of the time (even though the RGBs would still be RGBing). If I shut it down on a given day, and start it up the next day.. it *usually* works just fine, but sometimes starts without any display output. (At this point the power button would turn it off immediately) My temporary fix for this is to disconnect my monitors, wait a few, start the machine then plug them back in. (sometimes I'll even resort to switching off the PSU). I'm running on Windows 10 Pro. Here are my specs: ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming mobo Intel I7-8700K GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 16GB memory I have two monitors hooked up via DisplayPort cables. My (wired) keyboard is setup to "Allow this device to wake the computer" in the device manager. I hope the info I gave is sufficient. Any help is appreciated.

I was playing a game of Overwatch when suddenly my PC just stopped displaying, no image no sound no nothing, but my fans, GPU and CPU cooler were still running as if it were turned on. So I do what a normal person would do and just turned it off (via the power button). Same thing happens, keyboard lights up, CPU cooler, fans and GPU start all spinning, but no display, I obviously checked if my monitor wasn't connected, but it was, and the audio turned off when it shut off too so that wasnt the problem. My specs are: Ryzen 7 2700X installed on an Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming, GTX 1050 TI double fan from MSI, 8gb of 2400mhz ballistix sport, 240 GB Kingston SSD, 1TB WD Blue. Everything is properly plugged in, the RAM is inserted all the way and I can't think of what could be happening, there's some rain but no thunder so nothing could have been shocked, plus the PSU would be dead and not letting the PC light up if that was the case TL;DR: PC turns on and everything starts working, but no display (including Mobo logo/bios bootup) or sound coming

This might be a stupid question, but I couldn't find any helpful answers elsewhere: I've got a Dell XPS 15 (9570) and want to connect it to 4 external monitors (internal monitor won't be needed) - which isn't possible. Now I had the idea of buying an eGPU-Case and sticking a cheap card in it, that supports 4 monitors (most likely an old Quadro). I don't want to spend too much money and the processing power of my internal 1050ti is sufficient for me currently. Would I be able to run everything (games, video encoding/decoding) from my 1050ti and just output what is being rendered through a seperate, external card? I'm pretty shure, that's how it works in tandem with the Intel UHD graphics, so this should be possible, right? If so, how much does it impact performance?

G'day to anyone that can help me here. i recently got the steingburg ur22 audio interface off my dad so i could plug in my guitars into my pc and use a amp simulator (ive been using amplitude 4 btw) in the software i can see that my pc is getting the signal from the audio interface when i play the guitar, but. i can get it to play through my speakers, the audio interface only shows the line outputs (UR22 Output 1/L and Ur22 Output 1/R) i used to use this old usb thingy with asio4all and it worked but with the slightest delay. i got the audio interface to eliminate that delay, but now i cant even hear my guitar. i would show that the left and right channel only show those outputs but the snipping tool wont let me open the selection things and take a screenshot
