My current rig 10yo Asus H97m-e intel i7 4970 32Gb ddr 1600 RAM GTX 1080Ti HPE ProLiant DL360p Gen8 CPU 2x Xeon E5-2650L v2 @ 1.70GHz RAM 64Gb ddr 1600 RAM GPU nVidia GT1030 2GB DDR4 Palit DVI-D HDMI Low Profile It has been a while and i kept upgrading my PC to the point where this is it. Not that i complain the PC works just fine runs games that i play on one monitor and multitasking on the second no problem. Problem is i run davinci resolve with 1/4 proxys and it runs fine until the video starts to get longer or i add color grade speed up video or FX. export in 4k is around 20 fps (i let it run through the night if i have to do 10 renders) I edit mostly files from the HPE server i have a basic shared folder setup and gigabit connection (i know its not optimal but my computer knowledge is limited) Tho result is very similar when editing on a local SSD so i assume storage is not the main issue. Since my server has 40 threads i thought i will edit straight from the server thats why i tried putting in a GPU but i find the experience unsatisfying and laggy (using REMOTE DESKTOP) Parsec does not support GT1030 GPU The thing is i have yet to receive any income from my videomaking but i want to make it a side hustle for real and i enjoy creating a lot (been filming and editing since i was 12) I just can't justify spending 5000€ for an editing rig specially since the current one kinda works altho nerves are breaking more and more often. Is there a way to optimise my workflow so i can edit straight from the server using some other remote service? Would a 10 gigabit connection between my PC and server help with that and is it worth the € ? Mind you i live in EU so Computer components are expensive and sought after even on ebay I have found out that maybe Davinci resolve free version is the bottleneck since it does not utilise the GPU but my CPU is at 100% when i edit so i doubt that is the main problem. I have never used an Apple product in my life apart from iPod but i'm seriously considering getting a Mac mini hearing the performance is good for this kind of work For me in my country an option for M2 mac mini 16Gb RAM 256Gb SSD is 1000€ and i keep the old rig for gaming. (not fond of the idea tho) Or can that money be spent on a motherboard and CPU that can take me further than apple silicone? I have cold feet about spending a 1000€ for the most basic Apple product i know nothing about. A machine i cant open take apart or modify in any way and above all 0 chances of component repair or replace. I was looking into second hand M1/2 devices to dip my toes into the Mac world but i cant find anything worth the money in Europe. I just don't trust the small box despite all the good reviews i believe this community will know what to do. Thank you in advance for anyone willing to read this post

Hi, im about to upgrade my motherboard, I've read online that I'll probably have to do a clean install of windows to get rid of the old motherboard drivers. Should I do the reset before or after I install the new motherboard or does it really matter?

Another stupid question but this time its on the or operator. import sys num = (int(input("Enter the car number model or enter 0 to quit: "))) if num == (221) or (780): print ("defective") elif num == (123): print ("working") elif num == (0): sys.exit() else: print ("invaild number") so when running this code for some reason it always replies with defective, i had done some trobleshooting and it turns out that just deleting the or (780) makes it work perfectly, now i can do another elif and just call it a day but what is wrong? also can i make a thread with stupid questions about my problems cause making a new thread each time is kinda tiring...

Last post got ignored because it was too long and wordy, so here we go again, ill make it short and sweet... Is $2,549 CAD ($2,111 USD) (before taxes) too much money for a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with 5800H, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM, 2x 1 TB NVME? I feel like i got ripped off somehow and I haven't even received it yet.

So i have a big dilemma, i've had a amd pc for the last like 4 years first it was an r7 1700x + x370 from gigabyte and then upgraded to an r7 3800x + x570 asus tuf. The problem is that, with both of them i couldn't get them to run at the speeds that i've seen everywhere, allways 100-200mhz slower (i know someone would ask the coooler for the 1700x was a good arctic cooler that didn't hit more then 70-75C and for the 3800x stock cooler, full load 80C) and i've also had problems with the ram, first with hyperx 2667 cl13 not running at even 2667 or not booting and then after the first upgarde to the 3800x, i bought some corsair vengeance rgb 3600 cl18 and then gskil tridentz rgb 3200 cl16, both couldn't even run at 3200mhz and after that only worked at 3000mhz. And other problems... After that i send the mb and the cpu to warranty and got my money back for the 3800x and the mb got repaird. The question is should i buy an amd 3800x/5800x again (and if this time i would have the same problems i promise i would never buy amd again) or should i go for an i7 10700kf + z490 mb? For more specs: msi rtx 2070 samsung 960 evo m.2 250gb segate firecuda sshd 2tb psu corsair rm 850w 80+ gold case coolermaster masterbox 5 lite a little bit modified P.S: sorry for bad english

Hey Guys, I'm looking into upgrading my Storage with an 1TB SSD and came across the Sabrent Rocket (https://www.amazon.com/-/dp/B07LGF54XR/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=sabrent%2Bnvme&qid=1581090963&sr=8-2&th=1) Does anyone have experience with that drive and could tell me if it's worth it, or if i should just shell out the 50 Bucks extra for a Samsung drive. (Or any other drive for that matter. I'm interested in any suggestion) Btw my Motherboard is the Asus ROG Maximus VII Hero, so I don't know if I'm getting the full performance out of an nvme SSD. If not am I better off just getting a Crucial MX500 or similiar? (about the same price as the Sabrent Nvme one) Any tip is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi guys i hope someone will answer because on my last post i didnt get answer. Problem is IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL BSOD when i turn on computer. I recently installed windows 10 on new fresh machine and this BSOD appears only on first boot. After i restart PC it goes into windows without problems and everything works fine. Games, youtube everything. Now i did installed windows on integrated graphics not on dedicated 1050ti. And im using my monitor plugged into integrated graphics card. Can that cause problem? I remind that after second restart windows boot and everything working fine. PS: I didnt buy yet adapter from DVI TO VGA so i can plug my monitor into dedicated card. And this version of windows i have i installed on so many machines and never had this BSOD error on any lap top or on any desktop so far and i installed on more then 20 machines! Please help.

Hey guys I have a laptop which I currently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I have done this because I wanted to make the laptop run faster, but it's still very slow. So I wonder if Linux (ubuntu) would be a better solution to make this old laptop faster or not. It has i5 2410m and 6GB of RAM. Thanks in advance.

Just bought this case + two additional Silent Wings 3 140 fans so now I have 2 on the front, 1 back and 1 top. The question is - should the fan on the top be pull or push for the best cooling performance? CPU is AC with pretty beefy radiator.

I`m also now im a bit of electronic building (like RPi stuff and automating things), so I could also have a budget of 1000euro for that kinda stuff. That would be very much fun aswell! (and also educative!) Help me choose please, if you need more info ill give it!

Hey guys, so I just recently had this problem of my desktop turning off a split second after pressing the power button (have confirmed that there's not short on the power button) which happens occasionally. I have tried reseating every component on the motherboard, resetting the CMOS, using the default settings in the motherboard BIOS and no bad capacitors on the motherboard but the problem still persists. I have done the paper clip test on my PSU but it checks out fine. It seems to work fine when I remove the graphics card and some USB devices. Is there like a power delivery problem of some sort going on with my motherboard? (Particularly the USB ports and PCie slot?) Lastly, can it mean a problem with my PSU (using correct voltage BTW) even though it checks out fine with the paper clip test? I have no spare parts to do trouble shooting so I'm kinda lost lol Buy a new motherboard or power supply? Suggestions?
