I want to start a local business in the near future that installs basic home technology, so the first thing that I am doing in my spare time is creating a website. I have spent a good week on this website, but it is no-where near done. If anybody is willing to look at it and give their opinion, I would greatly appreciate that. (I am currently using a free domain service ) - Link removed - Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you, TheGodlyJorts

Background: I want to start a local business in the near future that installs basic home technology, so the first thing that I am doing in my spare time is creating a website. I have spent a good 2weeks on this website, designing and coding, but it is no-where near done. If anybody is willing to look at it and give their opinion, I would greatly appreciate that. (I am aware that some of the pictures are low quality and that there are many spelling errors, I am looking for feedback on the layout/UI) (I am currently using a free domain service ) Link: -removed- Any input is greatly appreciated! I was going to purchased a prebuilt but ran into issues with them so I decided to build a new PC. Since it's a long time since I built a PC I want to make sure that I picked out parts that go together. I would like to build a computer for gaming and a little bit of photo editing. This computer is going to have to last me a long time so I'm hoping the parts I've chosen are for a good fast PC. I am concern about the CPU I've chosen as I'm aware that AMD is going to be announcing new CPUs in a couple of weeks. I don't know if I should wait to see the new line up or if I should take advantage of the discounts going on for current Ryzen CPUs. Even if I wait for the new CPUs the MoBo I picked out should still work with the new versions, correct? Please let me know what you think. FIRSTLY THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, YOU ARE ALSO ENTITLED TO ONE!!! <3 So... how do i begin (TLDR below), near the beginning of the escape from tarkov beta i purchased the standard edition, servers were trash for anyone in or near Australia as there was no dedicated servers for around 6 months. I was pleased with the game and after giving us new servers it seemed to run ok. I then went and made a post on the Escape From Tarkov Beta Tester Fourm and stated that the devs were kinda scummy for not allowing refunds even though in Australia it is illegal to refuse a refund (The ACCC made Steam create a refund system :D), i wanted to know why the devs did not allow for refunds. In my post show below i did not use foul language and also was not intentionally being racist to the devs, however after only 10 minutes i was hit with a forum ban. As seen above i was not overly rude, i just wanted to know about their scummy business practices... The post was then removed and i was banned from the forums... THE BETA FORUMS WHERE YOU ASK QUESTIONS AND GIVE IDEAS!!! The censorship from these devs is ridiculous, not to mention their breaches of laws put in place by the ACCC Also below is the reason why i was banned.... utter garbage PLEASE DO NOT BUY INTO THIS GAME! TLDR: There is ZERO customer service and don't even think about getting a refund, if you have cash to throw around, fine buy the game but don't expect any respect from this company staff!

so i in the planning stages of a build and have been working torwards a theme as i intend to do some modding to the case and parts. so lets set the stage by telling you parts and theme i will being using the asus rog strix z370-e mobo the core p3 case from thermaltake ek supremacy evo , and gpu ek block all of which is copper plate and plexi acetal finish planning on primo chill rad and res most likely either white or silver full modular supply painted white with cable mods cables also white. all nickel ek fittings (light) now for my vision i plan to strip my core p3 and polish the entire thing and paint the feet white or silver but i can't figure out if i want to go copper tubing to add to the metals and polish look by also polishing the copper for a super clean brilliant finish or petg (clear) because i can't decide if i want to go with primochill vue sky blue or clear liquid. i already have alot of my parts including ( cpu, block, fittings, case rad. my ek supremacy evo is full copper with the plexi acetal top so its see through now but can't decide if i really love the accent of the polished copper giving it a brilliant metals look almost like a large art piece of jewelry or petg with the sky blue vue for a nice popping effect. so theres the question polished copper with clear fluid or vue (would most likly go grew silver or white) or petg and go vue sky blue or teal i am looking for some opinions so i can see how others feel about the theme and which would you would go if you were making the choice your self or maybe change it slightly and tell me why of course i am married to most of this and really like these theme choices.

So, I'm very new to PC building but want to buy a system that doesn't break the bank, but can still pay some decent games without setting fire to itself. I found this on amazon, but many say the CPU is trash. I want to get your opinion on the matter. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fierce-Gaming-PC-Desktop-Computer/dp/B071NRSXZC/ref=sr_1_11?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1515283683&sr=1-11&keywords=gaming+pc I would like to let the people who are suggesting me ideas, I do have a budget at 450 GBP and as I'm new, I don't know how to build a PC of my own without me breaking the motherboard. Anyways, why you guys fight about why I'm not building my own rig and how I can save more just by building it myself. I'll just go and google "how to stop pc nerds" and simply wait it out. Peace and Im out ツ Crumbs

Hey guys, So it's my first time building my own PC. Iv had experience repairing PCs and other devices before but building my own for the first time. Basically, its going to be my Gaming PC and I'm gonna be doing some side work with it; Mainly, Adobe Premiere & Photoshop as well as managing/building a few websites.Give me your opinions, all are welcome. Here are my components :[Bought Already] CPU : i7 7700k[Bought Already] Motherboard : MSI Z270 Gaming M5[Undecided] Memory : 16GB(2x8gb) TridentZ RBG DDR4-3200mhz[Undecided] Graphics Card : ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OR ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ROG STRIX OC UPDATE: I will run integrated graphics till i am able to get a GTX 1080 or if the GTX 20 series is out by then i will just go for that, so one high end card. [Bought Already] CPU Case/Tower : Thermalake Versa N21 Snow [Undecided, not sure if ill need 550w or 650w yet] PSU : EVGA SuperNova G3 650w 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU UPDATE : I am confused as to wattage, i am currently aiming for a 650w 80+ gold g3 but im not sure if a bronze 650w or 550w would suffice, want this PSU to be able to keep up when the GPU comes in Storage : Samsung 850 Evo 500gb 2.5inch Sata III SSD(boot/main drive) & 7.2k RPM 1tb HDD(just general storage for old stuff or whatever I'm not using every day etc or backups of files) UPDATE: I might get an m.2 500gb or 240gb with a 1tb hdd for general storage and the m.2 for boot drive and other important/immediately relevant filesCooling : Completely undecided but for CPU i guess this - Cooler Master Hyper 212 LEDConsidering liquid CPU cooling and ill get a couple single fans for the case when i receive it (today) and i will decide how many i need etcMonitor : Sceptre C 32-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor (C325W-1920R) x1 [Will definitely get a second and possible a third NON curved screen for the center display later on] UPDATE : It was brought to my attention this monitor having 60hz refresh and 1080p would not look very good at 32inch but already bought and reciecing it on the 5th so i will bare with it, but if you could recommend a decently priced high quality (preferabbly curved) monitor i would greatly appreciate. I am deciding on what to buy etc, this is my idea of what I'm going forIf you think something would work better with this or make it more efficient etc please let me know. Also im hoping to upgrade my GPU later, I'm starting off with a 1050 and may buy a 1080 later on, and just use two GPUs working together, the 1050 and 1080 if its possible to like use SLI with two different cards like that. if not 1080 main card and done with that haha Also going to get another set of 16gb ram so ill end up with 32gb later onGaming mouse/keyboard to be bought later on, isnt that serious right now and i might get a wlan card later. Will start with a wired connection I also want the OPTION to overclock. I bought the Z270 and the unlocked 7700k for that purpose, i will not be doing it right away but later on i would like the option to attempt it later. just so you know. Also keep this in mind with the PSU options etc.So, What do you guys think?

So.... I had my lovely i7 4790K running at 4.8GHz for a good 2 years now since I built my computer, and a couple of months ago it started crashing on me, I narrowed down the issue to the clock speed only a week or two ago, by that time my computer was bluescreening whenever I opened a program, so I started bringing it down, and down, and down, until now I'm at stock clock speed and it's bluescreening whenever I'm putting my computer under intense load, for example, while rendering a 1080p video and playing a light video game like CS:GO. So I decided I needed an upgrade, Ryzen Threadripper seems to be a very compelling option, the 1950X is currently $850 on amazon, but I needed to swap out the CPU, motherboard, CPU cooler, since mine doesn't support TR4, and RAM. I decided to go with the Asus PRIME X399-A, which is currently the cheapest motherboard at $300 on Newegg, I want to go for the CoolerMaster LiquidLite 240, which is the cheapest 240mm liquid cooler at $50 on Newegg, and finally the RAM, I went for the 2x16 kit of DDR4 memory from crucial which is priced at $308 at Adorama. I have a few questions about the upgrade I'm planning. 1. Should I go with Ryzen Threadripper? I want the best price to performance ratio and Threadripper is at the i9 7900X for around $100 cheaper. 2. The RAM I picked has no heat spreader, I went with that because of the price, does it matter or are heat spreaders mainly aesthetic? 3. I have a Corsair AX860i power supply which I want to use in this build, the total system power consumption when taking into account storage and DVD drive is 847 watts on pcpartpicker, I'm planning to overclock, so is my PSU enough to run the system? 4. What will happen if the PSU doesn't have enough wattage, will any of the components be damaged or will the system simply not turn on? 5. I have a corsair H110i GTX liquid cooler, is there a mounting bracket I can use instead of buying a whole new AIO liquid cooler? 6. Does anyone have links to cheaper parts than listed above? If so, please post them here. Thanks for your time.

A family friend has two laptops that haven't been used very much because of how slow they run. One is a Dell Inspiron 15 from 2017 and the other is a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 8.1 from 2014. Both of them have some kind of Celeron processors, so I know neither of them will be powerhouses, but I'd like to at least make them not painfully slow. I'm already planning on putting a SSD in both, and installing Windows 10 on the Toshiba, but I've found that they both have single 4GB sticks of DDR3 1333 MHz ram. I've found a 2x8GB 1600 MHz kit on Amazon for $42. Would buying that and putting a 8GB stick in each system be worth it, or should the SSDs be enough? I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible for them, and I don't want to almost double to cost by adding more RAM if it's not going to help, which I feel like it won't because the low power processors and the single channel RAM. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

So I was looking around for a 1440p, 144Hz, IPS monitor. I found a bunch, but i don't really know what makes them better or worse, all of them are 1440p 144Hz IPS, Some has G-sync, some has Freesync, but i don't really care about that stuff. Should I? I am using an Nvidia card, but i don't find G-sync being worth it, since those monitors are waaay more expensive. Is it then a good idea to buy a free-sync monitor for a Nvidia card? Cuz i can't find one with neither. My qusetions is: For you who use G-sync/Free-sync, Could you go back to not using it? If you had to buy an 1440p 144Hz IPS monitor, which one would you choose and why? Is there any other feature I shoud look in to when picking a monitor?

Good day fellow enthusiasts, I was planning to upgrade from my GTX 780 Classy, was thinking should I wait for the 1080 Classy so it will be a Classy to Classy upgrade depending on price point? Or should I just cave now and get the GTX 1080 FTW?? Also Plan to get my XSPC water cooling kit for my CPU and a smaller Rad for the GPU which I plan to SLI if 2 of the 1080s became more reasonable price enough to purchase 2. Possible monitor options would be one of these 3. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H5KKVME/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2J0I6BGHE38FL&coliid=IMJUIHS1OIEO&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/HP-Omen-32-inch-QHD-Display/dp/B01J90PKPG/ref=sr_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473696684&sr=1-19&keywords=gaming+monitors&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547808011%2Cp_72%3A1248879011 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160227 All thoughts and suggestions are greatl Appreciated. Hey everyone, I've been getting alot of mixed opinions lately between these 2 comparisons and I'm not one to jump to the latest and greatest unless there is a 10%+ improvement over my beast 4770k i7 Haswell, which I only had for almost 3 years now, and I know its the last of its kind as far as performance and OC capabilities. What does everyone think, should I or should I not upgrade? P.S. It would be nice if you all have any OC and Benchmark comparison charts or info, link me the source of that info and also let me know if you all have had 1st hand experience. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

Hey everyone, I'm on the market for liquid cooling because I plan to try to OC my 4770k to 4-4.5Ghz and I'm trying to get some opinions on what would be a sweet spot in that range and which # is known to be a safezone for a noticeable performance boost. Trying to see which rad size for those numbers do you all recommend and have you seen a noticeable difference in gaming when OC is done for the 4770k. Please give me some insight on the path that I would get the results I want. Also planning to benchmark everything once I get all the the stuff together, and I want good points score wise. Current MOBO is an ASUS Z87 Pro, and I am planning to possibly get two 1080 FTWs in SLI or two 1080 Classys. Been looking at XSPC RX & AX series Rads and Kits and comparing XSPC tubing & Primochill which ppl always seem to push. Any Help given will greatly appreciated before I invest all this money on Watercooling crap. Last note, my case is Phantek Enthoo Primo: See link below http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Primo.html

Hello people! i have made a very dumb mistake! For i have bought a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC !, well that's not the mistake, it my impatience to get a new graphics card(upgrading from a Power Color R7 260x) without doing research. finding out the hard way that my AMD FX 6300 bottlenecks the crap out of this card!...... SO, i have decided to just upgrade! (woo!!) I want to ditch AMD (sorry, you will always be my first, but its time to move on) and go with Intel. For the processor i was thinking of getting a Core i7-4790K, as it still runs DDR-3, I was thinking of upgrading to DDR4 but I have like $600 USD to spend. I have the storage and ram, just need a new motherboard, cpu and new ssd to sweeten the deal(because the ssd i have now is just garbage). here is a link to Pc Part Picker for the parts i was looking to get( http://pcpartpicker.com/list/n43Jbj ) I feel this is pretty solid from the processor, as what I seen this puppy can out preform the new Skylakes in a lot of tests. I also wanted to go with the motherboard because it matches my build the best, but if you guys can suggest better I will compromise if needed. Im going to try to get these parts buy Saturday, but i wanted a few opinions from fellow techies. Thank you for your time, Stinkycrackers

Hello everyone, Xhodan here. I've been watching LinusTechTip videos for awhile now and I really enjoy the content. Anyway, as the title states. When does gaming become addictive? I'm curious to hear all your opinions. Leave creative comments, opinions, and idea's bellow!

Ok so I've ordered all the parts I need for my new pc I'm building, except for the operating system. This is my first build, and I really don't understand the "system builder" OEM Windows 7 copies. I would honestly rather have Windows 7 instead of Windows 10, not only because of the privacy-invading features. But I've seen a lot of threads about people having problems with Windows 10, which makes sense because it's new, but I've heard some people say that it is basically breaking things. Like their computer crashing during the install, and it won't start up after it. Also some people having problems with certain games, and other programs. And honestly, I don't like knowing that Microsoft is sending information back and forth from me, not only creepy, but it takes up bandwidth. I know they could do it on any of their Windows versions, but I know Windows 7. I don't know Windows 10. I've watched a video on how to turn all of the options off, but in the same video, after and update some of them were turned back on without notifying the person. Which I don't think is right. At least tell the person. But really I'm just trying to get opinions on this, Windows 10 is just putting me off a little bit atm because of the privacy-intruding and also the bugs and glitches with it. But it does have support, and is guaranteed to be a legit key. The system builder copies of Windows 7 also put me off because there is no support if anything goes wrong, and also I don't know the difference between the ones that say "Intended for distribution with new PC's only" and "Intended for distribution with refurbished PC's only". I'd assume that the new PC copy is for those of us building our own PC, but people have mixed feelings on the subject from what I've seen and read. Also, what are the drawbacks of each? I know the system builder copies are tied to the motherboard, which honestly is fine with me. But can you upgrade them? Like in the future if I want Windows 10, can I upgrade? Or if there's a new Windows later on? And does Microsoft recognize it as a legit copy of Windows? I've seen some people that have had problems with the product key that they come with, but I imagine it is just the reliability of the seller. But I don't really know. I really don't know which to go with, because they both worry me in different ways. So what should I do?

Hello LTT Forum, I don't usually post here, and I don't use very often the forum, but I consider myself a fan of LMG, and since I've seen the fussing about "Nerd Sports", I wanted to wite this to LInus, but then I figured out that probably the forum is a good place to hear also your opinions, and maybe get noticed by Senpai Linus so that he actually reads it. Hi Linus, I've read your response to the post about Nerd Sports and I thought it might be the right time to write this. I saw that you did not only addressed the "Nerd Sports" problem, but also the raising of complaints by viewers on the quality of recent content and therefore I decide to write you this. I apologize in advance if it ends up being a long post. I'm a long-time fan of yours, and of all LMG, and I follow you since garage WAN show days. I have to admit that LTT/TQ/CSF became part of my daily routine, and that I watch your videos unconditionally both on Vessel and YouTube each day, so that I can give you all the more money I can (yes I know, forum subscriptions, t-shirts and stuff, but since I go to university and I don't work I don't have much money) and I stay up until 3-3.30 in the morning to watch the WAN show on twitch (I live in Italy). I'm not saying this to boast, I'm not saying I'm the most hardcore fan, it's just so you know with which part of the audience I fit in, since it's broad. Now that I have expressed my love towards LMG, it is time to talk about what has been going on lately, but first let me say, apologies accepted for the rushing, everyone has busy periods, and let me specify that the purpose of this post is to give future advices, if accepted. In the last month or so, I noticed a different approach of the company to the videos. I love the workshop format, I think it's really interesting, but other videos feels like “filler” videos, which is normal to have since you committed to one release per day, but I feel like they are more frequent than in the past. Obviously, with more time consuming content to produce, and the inability (yet) to expand a day to more than 24h, sometimes you have to cut down on some other videos. Probably my considerations are a little bit too naïve for the internet, but I feel like that most of the complaints under your videos are written because the fan loves your content, and he is afraid that it is becoming more and more “casual”, and let me explain what I mean by that. By no stretch of the imagination 7 gamers 1 tower and projects like that are “casual”, by “casual” I mean videos for casual views, and not the hardcore fans that truly loves tech, and loves even more how you bring tech to YouTube. The fact is that for many LMG fans, or at least for me, is that a Linus Tech Tips video is not only about a product, or about bleeding edge technology, it is also about Linus Media Group, the people that produces the content, with which we have an appointment every day. As I said these words are really naïve, but I think that there is truth at the bottom. People watch you because they like your personalities, otherwise, you wouldn’t have 6-10k people watching you live every week. They could just search tech news on the internet if they were strictly interested in that. After so many touching words, which by the way are referred to all of LMG, not only to Linus or video hosts, here comes my advice: stick to your fans, because they will stick to you. It might seem a sentimental advice, and maybe it is, but even economically speaking, having a lot of people watching one video per month is not like having a fanbase that watches all of your videos everyday for the way YouTube works (or at least for my basic understanding of it) Getting back to the Nerd Sports fact, I’ve really appreciated your response, because it means that you care about your fans. Not the Noctua ones. Well, maybe them too. Sorry for the long post, I hope you will read it at some point I also hope not to have made a lot of errors, since Italians are pretty bad at English. Oh, and sorry for my dorky jokes.

Hey guys I need help urgently fast. So I'm using a iPhone 4s at the moment, and I am very used to the Apple ecosystem, but need a new phone. I cannot pay the ridiculous prices apple associates their phones with. So I need a phone for 400$ maximum, and I live in Australia, and after a few hours of researched I've gathered the LG Nexus 5x and the Oppo r7s are the better. I like the nexus usb-c and finger print reader, but I like the oppos screen. I need some help in which one I should choose, or suggest your own from reputable brands like Huawei, Samsung,LG,Oppo, one plus etc. Thanks in advanced ????

hello guys ! After i bought my new gtx 1060 and played some games i saw that my gpu is not always staying at 100% load ( an average of 85% load in demanding games ) and i thought it would be a great ideea to get a new cpu cooler and to overclock my cpu. I did some research in the past week and i saw from different reviews that the CM hyper 212x is one of the best price to performance on the market. After looking for it with prices set from high to low i ran across this cooler http://www.emag.ro/cooler-procesor-deepcool-maelstrom-240t-compatibil-intel-amd-dp-mael240t/pd/DBXS4YBBM/ which is only 30 lei ( ~6 euro ) more expensive. I would expect the 240mm rad water cooler to perfrom a lot better thant the air cooler in case of overclocking. What do you think ? should i go with the water cooler instead of the 212x ? I didn't find a lot of reviews for the water cooler but i'd expect a water cooler with a 240mm and 27mm thick rad to perform a lot better than a 212x. here is the link for the 212x http://www.emag.ro/cooler-procesor-cooler-master-hyper-212x-compatibil-intel-amd-rr-212x-17pk-r1/pd/DNHY02BBM/. when writing your comment please consider the price which is almost the same

I'm building my first pc soon and I'm looking for a garlic a card in the 200-250 dollar range, I wasn't sure if I should buy a rx 480 on release because they'll be out of stock almost immediately. So I came to the forums to get some advice.

Going for a red + black gaming PC look. Looking for feedback on possible revisions, changes to the build etc. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/jF4dCy CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor A bit overkill for what I'm doing, but want it to last. Looking into programming compiling, and video rendering in the future. (On top of obvious gaming). Looking to overclock somewhat, nothing extreme. Cooler: Corsair H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler I like the corsair link LED on the cooler, as well as it's big size. Not sure how good the fans on there are, if I should get different ones, or do a push pull thing with fans on both sides (feedback wanted) Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard I know it's overpriced as many will say, but I do like the looks as well as its features from what I think I need. Comments would be great here too. RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Mobo supports this, love G Skill. SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Had great read and write speeds as well as low cost, so I like this, unless you guys have other suggestions. (I've got a WD 1TB on Pc part picker along with addition HDD 7200rpm storage) GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX Video Card Love the Asus design, cooling, oc'ed etc. Don't see any issues here Case: Corsair 760T Black V2 ATX Full Tower Case Awesome reviews, cooling options, color design etc. Feedback here appreciated too. PSU: Corsair HX750i 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Love Corsair, may be a bit overkill, but it's their top tier PSU and this isn't a place needing to skimp out. Monitor: Asus PG279Q ROG Swift 27.0" 165Hz Monitor Everything a guy could want as 4k 144hz isn't happening anytime soon with great settings. PLEASE if you can provide criticism, feedback, suggestions etc. I'm also looking at neat lighting things to compliment the red + black look of the case, so LED strips, placement, better fans etc all this would be MUCH appreciated for advice.
