Hello. The title pretty much is my main question. I've been planning this build for months and have communicated with various other people on other forums and websites to know what is best for me. I'll give you a breakdown of what I am doing to be doing with this PC. I guess you could recommend parts based off this breakdown. Anyways, I plan on using this PC for mainly Overwatch, SC2, and some other games that aren't too heavy like a triple A title game. Also, alongside some gaming, I will be using this as my main school computer for college and the future. I plan on using a 144hz monitor for that fast refresh rate and I don't mind not hitting 144fps b/c of freesync. People have been begging me to get the RTX 2060 but to me, I feel no need to get a $350 GPU for my usage for this PC. I am on a budget of about $1100.00, including the monitor and keyboard + 8.7% tax; however, lower is better, if it won't affect performance. I'd like to stick with my current keyboard that I selected but if anyone can find a better keyboard that is white, feel free to recommend as I'll need all the help. One last note, I do care for aesthetics so stuff looking simple is what I look for. Hope this will give you an insight on my situation right now. Thanks! Here's my current build. I will be soon building this pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XV8CZN or sth similar. I have however my mind split about what case to buy. I love the white 011 dynamic but it comes with no fans and doesn't fit most cpu air coolers. Also I like the coolernaster mb530p. I would love it if you could suggest me some cases and give me your opinion. Also aesthetics do matter to me. Thnx

Hey guys, just wondering what games made your decade better? I'd have to say clash of clans, pokemon black, and wii sports resort as these games got me into more serious PC ones. Doesn't have to be released this decade, just what did you enjoy the most these past years? (Yes I know I'm a little late to the new decade thing) ???

So I've decided I'm going to get rid of my current pc and keep the graphics card and upgrade that later I currently have a Zotac gtx 1060 6gb and then later upgrade to a rx5700xt? After a bit of research I've decided to go with a ryzen cpu (3600x) which I've found on Amazon for £190 For the motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAx For ram Corsair VENGEANCELPX16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3600 (Pc4-28800) I have a 1tb hdd and a 120gb ssd should I reuse or get new ones What sort of power supply would be good for when I decide to upgrade in the far future Case suggestion at a decent price I've tried doing as much research as I can at the moment this is going to be my first pc build anyone out there that would take the time to give any suggestions on my parts if they are compatible or I can get better priced etc would be much appreciated thanks in advance :)

Im redoing a system that my friend had a while ago and I wanted to know what you all thought and what I could improve on it. The case needs to be an ITX Case because he has a small dorm and can't fit much in it. Every other part is up for modification, and Im going to ask him when I see him about his storage needs/ what he does with his current pc. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/v4f8HB

What are people’s thoughts on 6 or 8 cores for there CPU when it comes to gaming ? Will 8 cores soon be the norm with upcoming titles like the new teaser of the new elder scrolls game or cyberpunk 2077 ? or will 6 cores still be the sweet spot and power house for games to come for the next 3 years ? wanted peoples feedback or personal observations on the idea !

After many years dragging my feet, I've finally decided to pull the trigger and build my first PC in lieu of restless anticipation for Bethesda's two (and most likely far out) upcoming games. Admittedly I am quite ignorant when it comes to this process and the technicalities which accompany it. Several of my friends have built PC's and they've recommended a few different different parts. I live in the US and my ideal budget for the entire build, including keyboard, monitor, OS, etc. is the 800-850$ range. This is what I have roughly composed in terms of the build, per the recommendations of my friends. They have given differing opinions on choosing the i3-8100 vs i5-8400, and gtx 1050ti vs 1060. Additionally, I am trying to figure out what motherboard I should purchase - the one recommended to me on my list is out of stock. I plan to use this PC solely for gaming, and I am primarily interested in playing ES/Fallout titles modded at high settings, Battlefield 4/1, PUBG, GTA V, and several other much older titles. Most of my buddies are avid Arma 3 players and I would really like to play as well, but from what I've heard, that game is extremely taxing on the CPU and would require a build that's solidly outside of my price range - not really a huge issue to me though. Do you guys think that this would be a proper fit for what I'm looking for? I am relatively unknowledgeable about this stuff, so any advice on replacements, modifications, or ways to cut costs, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ? Hello everyone! I am about to upgrade my old headset to a new one. I am thinking between the Razer Kraken Ultimate and between the Asus Rog Delta. I would like to ask you guys about which one would you choose and why. And do you have any experiences with one of these headsets? Consider that I have a razer keyboard and mouse with Synapse 3 installed. Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone! This is my second time building a pc and I wanted to know what you all think of my choice of parts. I mainly game, but I'm considering learning how to use game engines like Unreal engine 4 and pick up blender again. I know that intel is better for gaming and ryzen for multi-core, multi-threaded workloads. (Which im guessing you need for game engines and 3-d modelling etc.) My budget is 1300€ (including monitor), but i can stretch it to 1330€ if need be. I should also mention that im planning to play at 1080p 144hz. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/G9fjJ8 (Will be be tranfering 500w powersupply and ssd from previous build. Psu will be upgraded later.) My intel cpu of choice would be the i5 8400, paired with the asus prime z370-A to match the colour scheme of the build and for an upgrade down the line. However depending on who you ask, ppl say the 2600x is better and others will say the 8400 is. However i could also reduce the ram to 8gb and get an i5 8600k. (Which is obviously a lot better in gaming, but means less ram and also the fact that it's not so good at 3-d modelling & game engines) What are your thoughts on this? P.s. i am open to other cpu suggestions

Hello, due to some unexpected events i have downgraded from my ryzen 5 1600 build as i have only the funds to fit this build!CPU: Intel Core i3 8100 Lets start off with the cpu! i have read a few reviews about this, and alot of benchmarking videos (though might not be as accurate for my build) i was going for some ryzen builds at first as i might need the extra cores and threads for streaming. from where i come from (Indonesia) the prices are a bit fluctuating above the norm and some do have really weird prices. the i3 8100 is sold at RP 1.600.000 (111.22$ Approx) looking for about a processor on this price range! i rarely play high demanding games. CSGO and PUBG are the main one im looking to get a good FPS on! i disregarded the Ryzen 1300x is because i probably wont be doing overclock at the start. but what im wondering is the upgrade path of ryzen! as it is very enticing. i would probably upgrade to the i5 8400 somewhere in the future (Not looking for immediate upgrades)Motherboard: Asrock B360M Pro 4im going for the B chipsets as i probably wont look for a unlocked intel processor in the future. and i hope this motherboard is of good quality! and that it would suffice for other processors in the future. seen alot of good reviews from it and the b360m pro 4 fits my budget perfectly! hows the future proofing or upgradability of this board?Graphics Card: GTX 780 TI REFERENCEThis graphics card was gifted?(TBD) from my friend. he had the gtx 780 ti reference on a water cooling block but i opted for the base heatsink for now. this was purchased somewhere around the launch of the card. this should suffice for now but in the future i might upgrade to something beefier, but i hope this card lasts for quite some time.RAM: Klevv DDR4 CRAS 2133mhz (2x4GB)This ram was sold to me at a very cheap price! (from a friend) and i will probably look into upgrading to a 3200mhz ram or adding the same 2x4gb bolts to make it 16GB!. unlike the ryzen with their Infinity Fabric should i upgrade rams? (id like to be on a budget) i can probably ditch the 2400mhz ram but i dont see it as money efficient. (ive seen that i can tweak the timing for a higher mhz? i think im still new on ram tweaking)Power Supply: Bequiet! Pure Power 10 500W Silverthis power supply is currently powering my old tower! and it works wonders with the continuous 500W and a peek of 550W! as the 780 ti sips alot of power, when i upgrade the GPU i should have no worries for wattage from the power supplyTLDR: Give me some of your opinions! if you have a simmiliar build share your experiences! i would love to know more as im the pc building platform has piqued my interest. As for the AMD side of things give me your opinions or a seperate build thats also future proof! as you can see here some parts are already bought and some are still planned PICTURES TBD! On a side note does anyone have experience in coloring a case? (i wanted a pink case but in my market there arent any so i think spray painting is the next best choice)

It's my first time here, I apologize if im in the wrong place. I just got a dell optiplex with an i7-2600, two 4GB sticks of ram (Kingston), and an 500GB HDD, and DVD/CD player. 265 watt power supply. Basically, I'm a console pleb and wanted to play games on PC, so I was thinking I could through a GTX-1050 ti in this and it would work. I've been around the internet and everyone is split on this topic, some motherboards are old and can't supply the 75 watts, some people say you need minimum 450 watts, and I'm just confused. the motherboard in this "beast" is the OM5DCD (Model) dell motherboard. Also, no I'm strapped for cash and likely will be lucky to get a 1050 ti, so no PSU upgrade in the immediate future. I am aware I could unplug the CD drive to save a few watts, but at that point it's more than a little sketchy. I just want your opinions whether or not this will work, I know the motherboard is a hit or miss in terms of supplying the 75 watts (which toms hardware found never exceeds 75 watts). Here's someone sucessfully doing this exact thing.

Hello, I'm new in this site. I want opinions about 4K monitor for pc gaming and for ps4 pro. I believe ASUS ROG SWIFT PG27AQ and ACER PREDATOR XB271HK is the best 4k monitor on the market yet, but both don't have hdmi 2.0 and this is a problem for ps4 pro because it can not played 4k 60hz with hdmi 1.4. So I thinking about Dell U2718Q, the monitor has no g-sync but it has HDR and hdmi 2.0. I didn't find a lot of video reviews about this monitor, so if anyone has this monitor, please to tell me opinions about this monitor. Also i will be happy to read opinions general about 4k monitors or any suggested 4k monitor. It's better to wait for the 4k monitors with hdr and 144hz ?

Well sadly my wonderful 1more triple driver earbuds died I believe the cable broke somewhere and i do not wish to try and fix it due to the fact that it would completely ruin the aesthetic. So where one thing goes wrong that provides opportunity which means new headphones. Ive been considering this for a while now especially since purchasing a fulla 2 I would like to know whether I should go for their quad driver earbuds or something even better such as the sennheiser e660 or if there are any other recommendations anyone has. I would like them to be able to connect to my phone as i listen to music at school a lot which means they need to be durable aswell but I would also like to connect them to my fulla for when im at home so something like the sennheisers would do good with two different jacks and replaceable wires although the quad driver ones come with a adapter bringing me to my next thing replaceable wires are preferable due to the fact im tired of the wire breaking since I am constantly moving the headphones I am looking in the range between 200 to 500 at my max I would also like to know the difference between the sennheisers and the 1more I believe the sennheisers are better but im not sure

Basically title, just wondering what everyone thinks about it. I know VR is not perfected yet for full motion games, but what about sims, flying, driving, ect.? Personally it changed how I looked at them, from a, I can see why you love this game, view point, to b, I am in love with sim racing, view point. Also, price point, does it still make sense to buy a two or three monitor setup for sims when VR is not only less expensive , especially setup wise, but also seems more immersive? Just wondering your thoughts, you faceless masses.

Okay maybe "everyone" is a bit of an exaggeration, but in the PC community where I'm at there's a general consensus that Razer products are sub-par. I recently posted in a local pc enthusiast facebook group asking for opinions about which peripherals to get and the majority of replies told me to get anything but Razer products. Is this an opinion many of you guys share? Why, why not?
