Hey Ltt forums, I recently went to a vanilla growers conference in Hawaii, and we discussed forming an online community for us to share information and grow the community. I'm like many of you in that I'm all over the web, from email listserves to google groups, slack, discord, and of course Ltt forums (just lurking till now). I also recognize that the internet is constantly changing and best practices tend to move pretty quickly. So LTT forums, in 2023, what platforms would you consider building on to help facilitate an irl/ online community? I know discord and slack are pretty popular. I'm a part of both but also recognize the drawbacks, like having to pay for accounts and servers that you ultimately don't control. I also have always been a fan of traditional forums, but they can be clunky. What is your preference? If you were starting something in 2023 what would you go with?

Hello, I would like to find a streaming service on which you can view a wide variety of movies from different companies. One that I have found that could match what I'm looking for is HULU. Basically what doesn't work for me are streaming services that show only their own productions. Thank you! Edit: Forgot to add some important information. I live in the Baltic States, Easter Europe, So US only services probably wont work, unless I get a VPN. Edit_2: Haha I contradicted myself, from what It looks like, there are basically no options other than US only streaming?

Swiss online retailer shares return and warranty data.
Keltyx98 posted a topic in General Discussion
Hi! I just wanted to share this nice feature I've seen when comparing products. They show return rate, % of warranty and warranty cases duration for the brand (not the single component). Of course this data depends heavily on what the company sells and it's always to be seen with a critical eye but I think it's a nice thing to have. On the product page they rank the brand for each category (Motherboard, Case, GPU, etc). A price graph is also present. -
hey guys, i found a cheaply priced RTX card on fb marketplace and asked the seller to ship it to me, he accepted and i told him i use paypal goods and services only, and he said thats fine as thats how he receives his payment usually. i checked his fb commerce profile and it shows many items marked as sold dating all the way back to 2019, he also mentioned that he's a trusted paypal seller, so paypal would release the money into his account before i receive the item, even if payed by goods and services. can paypal accounts be bought? like could it be scammer who has a trusted paypal account and when i send the money and get scammed i wont be able to get my money back since they wont be held but would be already released in his account as a trusted seller? what do you guys think ?

I'm not sure this is the best section to ask but I couldn't find a better one so. I've got a question I need answering and I can't find it anywhere online. I have limited data, 50 gigs a month to be exact. I don't game on that but I would like too. And so I looked up how much data an hour playing gta5 online takes up. Every single link I clicked on says gta5 online uses around 50mbs of data per hour. In fact is said most games use around that much data an hour. But when I launched the game to test it, according to task manager the game was using 300 kbps, witch as far as I could tell would be a hell of a lot more than 50mbs an hour. So I'm not sure what is going on, is my math just really bad, is it something to do with my wifi. I just don't know. Hopefully someone on here can help me. Thanks.

Budget (including currency): $800~ Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ARMA 3, SCUM, Hell let loose, ect Other details Hello. I have built pc's before, but that was back in 2004. I am way out of the loop on hardware/software. I want to build a PC for the games mentioned above (and most likely some simulators), and I want the best items to run the games at Ultra, but I also don't want to pay for overkill on hardware. I.e.: I don't want the latest and greatest hardware if I don't need it. I want this build to be as cheap as possible. I AM STARTING FROM SCRATCH. I want: -any possibility of playing on a 65" tv?? -at LEAST 16GB ram -SSD drives -A MARBLE MOUSE (!)(is Logitech the only company that still makes these?) -overclocking ability -windows 10 -a monitor and hopefully @1440 resolution (or whatever the gold standard is nowadays) -high cooling capabilat. -sound card wifi/hardwired ethernet card Looks do not matter. I don't care if it's atx or micro atx. Again, I do NOT need the newest stuff. Only the stuff that is juuuuuust good enough to run at max resolution @ at LEAST 60 fps. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. I will stop yelling now. I'm Ron Burgundy?

I've been trying to use inspect element to show me the answer to my math problem on deltamath so I can cheat my way through. But I am not too good with html coding, can anyone help me? And yes, I know, if I am having trouble, I should ask the teacher.... I know how to do it, but its real tedious and will take quite a long time. There is also no online calculator for what I am doing.

Hey guys, so about a month ago I did a new pc build and the final piece of the puzzle is an rtx 3070. I saw that best buy had the FE retailing for the msrp at $500. I know how their drops work because I got a Ryzen 5600x from one around the start of February. my question is if anyone here knows when another drop will occur and how they are selling the cards for $500 when everything else has a price hike of 10%-50%. The last question is just out of curiosity.

Yesterday I launched this game called Minecraft Dungeons hoping to play it. But when it was loading the internet just disconnected I went out of Minecraft Dungeons connected to the internet then went back in but the internet disconnected AGAIN. So I restarted my PC then tried again but the problem CONTINUED. I deleted then reinstalled my GPU drivers but that didn't help. I used ip config commands on the command prompt but that didn't help. Does someone have any solution.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a gaming server for arma 3? The goal of it is to serve for a unit that I play with... we currently use logic servers on a subscription basis so I see it as being worth it long term to invest in building or buying a server. It would need to be accessible world wide almost as the unit is based in England but has some players in America. I am not looking for something too expensive, just something that will do the job and that we can upgrade at a later stage. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is possible or worth wile as I don't know a lot about servers? We use a lot of mods and the server would be getting used at least 3 times a week by about 30 people each night. If you need to know anything else, feel free to ask!

Hello. The explanation to the problem im having is hard to describe, but ill try. When im in a offline gamemode such as training or practise range the game feels perfectly fine and smooth like it should. However when i enter a online game it starts to feel alot less responsive and accurate with aiming (it might affect the movement input aswell but im not sure). My fps remain the same almost consinstantly while differing between online and offline (200fps) it might drop to max 190fps. My specs are: RTX 2060 6GB I7 8700 16gb ballistic 3200mhz ddr4 cl16 ram (recently bought) Asus prime z390a (recently bougtht) The problem is incredibly odd. Ive checked my entire network equipment and replaced everything with new equipment. Ive run several DDUs without any luck. However it gets even weirder when it differs between games. Between overwatch and valorant it feels incredibly sluggish like i explained above but on example warzone it feels quite decent, not nearly as bad as the other games. And even so the problem has just been different all the time. There used to be a gamemode in Overwatch where you were playing in a 12 person ffa arena, inside that gamemode (which obviously was online) it felt amazing but as soon as i entered a quickplay, comp or even a 3v3 it just felt shitty again. It never feels like a stable input. However if i enter the same gamemode now it sometimes can feel good but sometimes it doesnt. Im going crazy about this... Im incredibly annoyed at this problem hence why im desperate to find a person helping me find the solution. Ive been trying to fix this problem for a year now. (The pc has been like this since the beginning hence why i bought new specs to eliminate solutions). Ive checked taskmanager several times while playing but there isnt any massive problem there. I also close down everything except for discord, the game im playing and a few softwares such as steam and razer synapse.

Giving away 1 free code for certain shop. I bought a smartphone recently and then a memory card for it. The 1st order gave me 10 EUR coupon code, that could be used without limits and so I did. Now after the 2nd one I got an e-mail with a new coupon code, but this one can only be used on orders of at least 50 EUR worth. I don't plan to buy another phone right now, and there isn't a ton of other products, but if someone finds a thing they want I will PM the code for 3.88 EUR discount. It's valid for 6 months, but I got the e-mail on 24th of April.

I cannot get the online gaming portion to work on my Nintendo Switch. I can get on the eshop just fine & internet / wifi works on every single other device in the house, so it's not a bad router or something. When I test my network connection the NAT is scored 'D' which apparently means it will be difficult to connect for online gaming. (Read: pretty much impossible) My spouse works on the security side of IT and my assumption is that our network has been secured to the point that the switch times out when trying to connect. I've found the troubleshooting page on Nintendo's site, but there are several disclaimers on the page that basically say it's up to the user to determine their own security needs. So here's my question - are the settings Nintendo recommends inherently insecure in some way, and if so, is there a way to secure it that my switch will still accept?

The moral of this story is, at the very least use a VPN connection before talking hot shit so they can't find you.

Was interested in the game when it came out but never really got the chance to try it out. Now that its free as well i feel like giving it a shot, however I have seen a number of posts online stating there's hackers and the devs are doing nothing to stop it. What do u think about the game?
