I need help with my Oculus Rift CV1 (Touch) and 2 sensors. The last 3 weeks i`ve been fighting with this problem but i found nothing that helped . . . So basically whenever i open my Oculus software and try to do something it wont let me do anything cause there is a ´Hardware Error` and my Oculus screen is just black. I tried to plug it in my Laptop but it doesnt work there either ( it only dupes the Desktop Screen ) and when I plug my headset into a USB 2.0 Port it tells me it's plugged into a USB 3.0 Port ( I use a Inateck USB 3.0 HUB ) It worked fine till i tried to plug my headset into the Inateck USB 3.0 HUB cause i had no USB port in my pc then it was kinda glitching and then it 'died'. I have tried several things : - Plug and Unplug USB port ( I tried several mixes between USB 2.0 and 3.0) - Last driver of my graphic card (GTX 1050 TI) - Last update of Windows 10 - Delete and Download the Rift program several time. - Reboot the PC - Unplug the cable in the helmet, inspect every cable - I plug the rift in my HDMI port of my graphic card and I try with a adaptor for my DVI port. - I activated the Oculus Public Test Channel - I also contacted the Support but i got nothing back since 2 weeks - Scream and Cry I really dont want to spend alot of money on something that will fix it since i dont have a lot and i spend all mine on the headset.

There is finally a GTA mod that's worth playing where the screen isn't warped looking because of vorpx. I also figured out how to increase the resolution (the tray tool doesn't work). EDIT: Most of the steps in this guide are no longer relevant since the last update to the mod. Just follow the steps Luke Ross gives in the link below. I'll leave my steps up just to keep the information up about how to mess around with the settings file. Might be useful to someone. Mod download link: https://github.com/LukeRoss00/gta5-real-mod Here are the steps I used to get it running smoothly and to increase the resolution a bit: Step 1: Start game, go to settings. Step 2: Under gamepad tab, change Targeting Mode to free aim. Step 3: Under Camera, set the Independent Camera Mode to OFF. Step 4: Under Camera, set First Person Vehicle Hood to OFF. Step 4: Under Camera, set First Person Third Person Cover to ON. Step 5: Save settings and shut down game. Step 6: Copy contents of zip file to GTA V steam folder. Step 7: Go to Documents, Rockstar Games, GTA V and make a backup of settings.xml Step 8: Copy the settings.xml file from D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\Settings\High to the GTA V folder in Documents and overwrite the file. Step 9: Open the settings file with Notepad, find the line that controls the refresh rate and set it to 90. Step 11: Save the file and open the game again. Step 12: Go to the in-game settings, change Vsync to off then save & exit the game again. Step 13: Open your Nvidia Control Panel, go to Manage 3d Settings, click on the drop down menu next to DSR and check all of the boxes. Leave the DSR smoothness at 33%. Step 14: In the settings file, set the resolution to 2560 x 1440 Step 15: Save the file and open the game again. Load the story mode and make sure that the frame rate is 90 fps with the Oculus Tray Tool. *You can increase the pixel density a little more by first unticking read only in the settings file again with the game open, going into the advanced settings in the game, and increasing the frame scaling mode. Set the file to read only again when you're done and make sure that the refresh rate didn't get set back to 60 again. If the game crashes whenever you open your desktop: .Go to documents\rockstar games\gta v .Right click the settings file, untick read only if you need to and click apply. .Open the file in notepad, change windowed value to 1. .Change PauseOnFocusLoss value to 0. .Save the file. .Right click it and change it to read only again. (You might also need to make sure your resolution setting in windows is bigger than the resolution the game is running at.) And that's it. I've been playing this all weekend and I hated all of the GTA V mods that came before this. It's finally playable so if you've tried older mods, don't dismiss this one.

Hi guys, I just bought a G920 set up with a cockpit (I havent identified it yet but the closest thing I found that it looks like is a GT Omega ART) that has a thrustmaster TH8A attached. Im trying to set up VR on assetto corsa but I need help as the title suggests. I've been researching for a while and im not sure if its because its 4AM and im sleep deprived or if everything out there on the topic is just spread so far and wide, but I cant seem to get a straight forward tutorial/walkthrough of how to set up the rift for AC, I found a few videos on youtube but they're a few years old and aren't applicable anymore (atleast with my setup/settings) for a bit more of a background I just got assetto corsa and this whole rig today so im super green in the simracing department. I guess i'd like to think im tech savvy enough to figure most things out but this ones stumping me/im too excited and impatient right now, to put the time in figuring it all out myself. Ideally someone that has experience using the oculus rift on assetto corsa in 2019 is who im looking for help from, but if you have any applicable experience in the topic your input is still viable. Genuinely any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys, im off to bed for now but will be straight back into this in the morning.

I just got my oculus rift and I tried to set it up, plugged in all three usb cords and its all connected. But the Hdmi doesn't seem to be connecting, I tried wiggling it, unpluging both sides of it, and still doesn't work. The sounds are coming from the rift, the light in between the lends is white, but through the lends doesn't seem to show anything. I tried searching similar problems with the same laptop but I didn't quiet understand what im supposed to be doing. ive updated my nvidia graphics card, disabled windows defender, and checked for the latest windows update. I have an Acer Aspire VX 15 VX591G-54VG core i5, Geforce Gtx 1050Ti

Heyo, I recently got an Oculus Rift and I have poor eye sight. I find it very uncomfortable using my glasses with my headset and I can't find any setting to change the focus. Is there some way to virtually change the focus of the graphics to fit my needs?

I know it's just another post about which VR setup I should get, but I hope I can get some decent advice from you guys. I've been saving up for a while to get a VR system, and as of now, I don't know which setup to go to. I've read pros and cons of both systems, but nothing really seems to stand out to sway my decision. I'm all about the "active" game where you have to get up and move around a bit (I will be playing beat saber a lot as well), and my setup space is good for it. I've read that the Rift has tracking that's just as good as the Vive's when you have a 3rd, or even 4th sensor, although 4 seems unnecessary. Currently in my pc I have an 8700k and a 1070 8gb so I'm not worried about that aspect of it either. Would it be worth the savings to get a rift with a 3rd sensor, or should I pony up the extra cash for the vive? What kind of setup does the vive have for audio if you don't get the duluxe audio strap... I'm particular to the vive, mainly becasue that's what I've used in the past, and I fell in love with the experience, but I am open to the Rift if it's just as good...

Hello fellow forum-goers. Longtime lurker, first time poster - I purchased a DK2 Oculus Rift second hand because I wanted to try out VR without the heavy price-tag playing seated games such as racing sims, elite dangerous, war thunder etc etc. Unfortunately (and I KNOW I should have put in research) it seems that the DK2 isn't supported by any existing and up-to-date Oculus drivers - which isn't exactly surprising - however even installing 0.8.0 SDK did nothing to help the device kick into action. I can't access it as a secondary desktop screen, nor can I initialise it to launch any VR enabled games which in theory should still work fine with the basic tech inside the DK2. I'm running on a 2018 HP Omen laptop (I have also tested it on a similarly spec desktop (1060, 16GB 2333MHz, i5 6600k, Win 10 Professional etc)) i7 8750H 8GB of RAM 1050Ti Windows 10 Home Edition 64bit. Now from everything I know about PCs, it is unlikely that there is anything stopping the hardware from working other than driver limitations imposed by Oculus themselves. I've ran the Oculus Server x64 in compatibility mode with Windows 8 and then the Config Utility for the Oculus too to no avail. So if there's anyone out there who still uses the DK2, and knows how to get it at least working for basic sitting VR games, I will be forever in your debt if you can share your magical computer knowledge with a poor student who just wants to play some low res, vomit inducing early VR. Any help will be appreciated.

I have an Oculus Rift and I Iecently bought Arizona Sunshine for 20€ (50% off in total) on sale. Performance seems good even on very high settings with an i7 3770k@4.6GHz and GTX 1080. I have huge issues starting the game. I seldomly play VR so I haven't played since Oculus reworked Home. Steam now seems to have a huge issue with starting steamVR which seems only related to the steam VR home because sometimes I got Arizona Sunshine to start without it running/ running errorlessly. The game sometimes crashes when reading completes and the level should render and I sometimes could not get it into the foreground. There are some recent reports about weird crashing in the steam forum for the game but that was not enough confirmation for me. What I am now debating is if I should move on and play something else or keep trying. I am still well inside the 14 day window and currently at 90 minutes playtime which should be more like 35 minutes should I refund or try to fix it? Is it worth it? Does this game have widespread issues? It is out for a fairly long time now so I assume not.

Heyo! I need some quick help before getting anything. I'm planning to get a Strix 2080 and an Oculus rift today while it's on sale. But I don't know what ports the rift will be using on my GPU. I also have 2 monitors that i'll be hooking up to the GPU. One is a G-sync monitor (not sure what cable it uses to get G-sync) and 1 standard monitor that I'll be hooking up using a VGA to HDMI adapter. I want to make sure I can use all those together in 1 GPU setup. Basically my question is, do I need to buy any adapter for anything to make sure I have enough ports for all those? I want to make sure since I'll be shipping these to the Philippines and it'll be harder for me to get the needed cables and or adapters once I have them shipped.

This the fix I found for the latest version of this issue which none of the usual troubleshooting steps would solve: .Go to your BIOS. .Go to the BOOT menu. .Find a the USB setting "partial initialization" and change it to "full initialization". .Now when you get back to windows, it'll may still have a yellow warning over "generic superspeed USB hub" in device manager. .If so, restart your computer. .Now if you watch it in device manager, the warning should go away on it's own after a few minutes. The warning should be completely gone and so should all of the issues no matter how many times you restart. Note: *Names and locations in the BIOS for this setting likely vary by motherboard manufacturer. My instructions are based on an ASUS board.

Do you recommend 3 or 4 sensors for the oculus rift? I think I am going to do quite a bit of roomscale but idk yet. Would it be worth it to get 4 sensors or would it be overkill? Thanks in advance!

Hello, first time here, love the youtube channel. So i recently got a oculus rift, and am pairing it with a i7 3770k and a gtx1080. I have 32 gigs of memory as well. Ive noticed that it seems like my video card is not being used to its full potential. I am monitoring thing with msi afterburner via the graph, mostly looking at fps, gpu usage and individual cpu core usage. I am also using the oculus tray tool as well. So for example in robo recal if i set the ss to 2.0 via ott and turn off asw the game still seems to cap out at 45 fps, but the gpu usage is around 75 percent. If I drop the ss to 1.6 the fps come up to 90, but there are alot of small dips and the gpu usage goes up and down between 70-90. Fresh windows install with latest drivers, game loaded on a ssd. And thoughts? P.s. my cpu usage is around 80 percent Thanks -isaac

Hi, so I play x-plane 11 a lot, but it's a bit jittery. Increasing or decreasing settings does nothing to change it and my hardware is barely even being used according to MSI afterburner.. The game uses openGL for some reason and that's the main culprit. So, has anyone hear used X-plane 11 with an older CPU and then upgraded? I want to know if the CPU upgrade made a difference. I'm on a 4790k now and thinking about either an 8700k or 9700k when they come out. Has anyone done a similar upgrade and can comment on the difference it made?

I've been building PCs for a long time. I consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to problems and solutions. Until now.... I recently upgraded from a intel 6700k, MSI 3x Kait Z170, 16gb Adata 2400mhz platform to a Ryzen 2700x, x470 ASUS Strix-f, and the GSkill Trident Z 3200 Rgb. Pair up with my already Asus 1080ti Strix. System runs great. Zero crashes and or problems. Stable OC and XMP is running at its 3200mhz with zero issues. My 2700x and 470x mb is about 2weeks old. The GSkill is about 3 days old. The problem I'm having is when I hook up my Oculus Rift. I put on the headset then the jitters start. Only when looking through the headset. With I mirror the screen on the monitor the tracking is perfect and all the games FPS I can see is running it's butter smooth locked 90fps. Through the headset it's all over the place. When the new system was up and running with the old 2400 memory I had no problems in vr when I tried it. Now the problem is I didn't play much on the new build yet. I reformatted, no luck. I discounted all other usb but all my razers mouse pad, mouse and keyboard. Problem Continues. Now I don't think it's the memory. If that was the case I should see some other problem with some of the 30 games I benchmarked right after all the upgrades. Problem only continues in VR games. One form says it is a possible power supply issues. That it could be as I am sure I was pulling a little less power in my old setup. I still find that hard to believe because no problems what so ever doing anything else. All my games play just great. Now I can make it butter smooth again my flip flopping the nvidia drivers. Till I turn it off and want to play the next day. I done DDU. That works till PC goes off. My power supply is most likely the weakest component in my system. I am using a Corsair 750w bronze 80. It is also powering three 120 white led fans and three 140 white led fans, h100i AIO, two 3tb HD, one 480gb PNY SSD, 2 rgb strips and 1 rgb adjustable strip. So I know I am reaching the end of what this power supply can do. But it works perfectly changing the NVIDIA drivers back and forth. So I dont think its I power supply. If someone knows what this could be please let me know. I seem to know how to get it butter smooth. But its only a temporary fix. Thanks guys!

This post is for listing games you've discovered that have hidden VR options and betas. Usually these are activated by adding -vr to the launch options for the game in steam or by activating a beta mode for VR. To get it started: .Euro Truck Simulator .American Truck Simulator

I have been in contact with Oculus now for over a month trying to get the problem resolved, I got given a replacement headset and the problem still persisted, I tried a friends GTX 1080Ti and the problem still persisted, I have run memory diagnostics with no errors on multiple tests, I have also been given a replacement CPU by AMD and the problem is still there, Oculus is now just ignoring my messages and cutting the support off, I can not return my Oculus to the original retailer due to the time Oculus has taken in order to try to troubleshoot and the fact that I no longer have the original headset I have a refurbished one that Oculus sent, I can't sell it on to another person for anywhere near the price that I paid for it as I would actually have to list it as spares or repairs as I have no way of proving the product actually works, Oculus are refusing to offer a refund through them and I can't use the Oculus due to the problem. The problem I am having is heavy stuttering, tearing and graphical artefacts, i get these even on minimum settings and even if I enable sub-sampling of 0.2 nothing other than the oculus has this problem even when running stereoscopic 3D on my desktop monitors or surround setup with 3 1080p monitors so 5760*1080, I know that rendering for the Oculus is different but with my type of hardware I should have no problem running it especially on minimum settings (my hardware is my my signature)
