Looking to upgrade from my GTX 1070. At the moment I am stuck between the RTX 4070ti and the RX 7900 XT, Thoughts? I am looking for hopefully a 4k high to max settings 60fps experience on most games. From my research (hopefully I get this right) the 7900 XT has more VRAM which is better for future proofing and has slightly higher fps on most games but the 4070ti does better with ray tracing and has DLSS which is apparently better then FSR. Do all the superior features and the better ray tracing that come with an Nvidia card make the 4070ti the way to go or does the more VRAM and slightly higher fps on most games make the 7900 XT more worth it? Having had an Nvidia card for years now that has served me well I need to be 100% convinced the 7900 XT is better to switch to AMD. NOTE: 7900 XT is about $200 more so there is also that to consider (I wouldn't mind paying the extra amount if I 100% knew it was worth it) MY CURRENT BUILD: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/72PbdH (Yes I am aware of the CPU bottleneck and am planning to also upgrade the CPU in the future)

Budget (including currency): Around 1600-1700USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Wide range of casual gameplay, as well as higher level competitive play in FN. As well as web/software dev workload. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m8NvmD I have a 165hz monitor already, 1080p Upgrading from a laptop (2060, i710750h (what I feel is holding me back a lot), 16gb Single channel ram (1 slot is broken)) I really think that the mobo is the part that I might not have selected a solid choice for and am looking for an alternative that at least has a USB C port for VR (Quest 2), and 1-2 usb3.0+ ports.

I have an RTX 3070 and an i5-11400 and a 650W PSU (Tier B) And i tried my best to figure out what's going on but i can't seem to do so? I play games perfectly fine, no stutters no artifacts no weird colors or shapes nothing at all. Card doesn't overheat too it tops at 64C in winter, 70C In summer. It's an Asus TUF 3070. Has anyone else experienced this before?? Me and my friend are honestly freaking out thinking its bad Drivers or our gpu's are dying even tho he has a 1660 Super. Any ideas ?

Hi All So this issue is completely random, it can happen when gaming, it can also happen when doing something very lightweight. It last happened about an hour ago when I had the log running. I'll get a blackscreen on all 3 monitors, followed by a restart after about 20 seconds. I did run a log since this morning until the issue happened, but honestly I'm not the best at interpreting the logs against which piece of hardware (if it is a hardware issue). Could anyone take a look? Many thanks! Hello, Guys first time posting here. So the thing is I have an HP Pavilion gaming 15-ec2xxx. Click here for the HP official spec sheet. So I wanted to use an external 1080p monitor as I edit on this laptop and this laptop doesn't have a color-accurate display. Now I wanted to use a single wire for everything Ethernet, USB devices, and Display. Now the USB here is a simple 3.0 USB and doesn't support alt mode on it. Researching on whether could I force output display through USB I found this device which could be used to power extra display through USB. Now the main question is are these devices any good, do they use CPU, and do my machine performance reduce after using this device? As I do editing every single bit of performance is much appreciated.

I'm having this weird issue on my main laptop where going into and out of fullscreen (any app) causes the system to pause/stutter, for probably the first few hours after rebooting it's totally fine but over time slowly gets worse and worse to the point where it freezes for several seconds everytime anything goes into fullscreen. (NOT just exclusive fullscreen, but anything including youtube videos, browsers, remote desktop, etc.) I'm running arch (6.6.10-arch1-1) with GNOME on X11, latest nvidia drivers (from pacman). Anyone have any idea what is going on? It's quite hard to find anything about this because most results are people complaining about stutters when in fullscreen, that's not the case here. Once It is finished entering fullscreen it's totally fine. (I can't use Wayland mostly because video playback is extremely stuttery on anything chromium based, but it also likes to break after logging out) 10900k/RTX 2080S (Clevo X170SM-G Laptop).

I have an Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II motherboard with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5975WX CPU. I have installed VMware Esxi 8.0U2 and vCenter. I successfully passthrough an NVIDIA RTX 4090 to a virtual machine and had no issues. However, the need to have accelerated graphics for multiple VM is critical to our workload. The next aim was to use NVIDA vGPU profiles from a single GPU & passthrough to multiple virtual machines. For this, I purchased the RTX 5000ada. I have installed the host and NVIDIA management drivers and applied the vGPU profile to a VM. When I try to boot the VM I get the following error message of "Could not initialise plugin "libnvidia-vgx.so" I believe this is an SR-IOV issue. I can confirm I have enabled SR-IOV Support and IOMMU in the Asus motherboard, however, I am still getting "not-capable" against the RTX 5000ada under SR-IOV in VMware Esxi 8.0U2 Has anyone successfully gotten SR-IOV to work with VMware Esxi 8 + Center. Any assistance and guidance would be helpful. Thank you in advance

Hi Guys, I've been thinking of upgrading my GPU. My current setup is: CPU: Intel i7-8700k (OC 5 GHz) MoBo: Asus ROG Strix Z370 Gaming-E PSU: EVGA G2 850W PSU GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Ti Monitor: Asus ROG PG348 (G-Sync Ultrawide- 3440x1440, 100Hz Refresh Rate) So the two options I have been thinking about are: ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB ProArt OC Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB NITRO+ Vapor-X Graphics Card Both cards are priced the same at £810 ($1025 USD) I do a bit of gaming, racing sims (asseto corsa, projects cars, forza, eurotruck sim) also play FPS (COD BO, CS and similar) as well as games such as flight sim, shadow of the tomb raider and city skylines similar. I also do cad modeling using Solidworks and a bit of autocad. I do use photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing. The system is in a Cooler Master MASTERCASE H500P MESH, Plenty of room for any size card. My main concern is that if I switch to AMD I'll have issues with the monitor, but then if I stay with Nvidia the concern is that I'm not getting the best performance for my money.

As the title suggests, my phones USB-C cable works perfectly fine with the controller, no batteries are in the controller too they are still brand new in the box. But my question is is there any downsides to just using my phones USB-C cable ? as soon as i connected it it worked perfectly fine with no issues, i heard people saying there is a difference between charging and data USB-C Cables but if it's a charging cable will it even work in the first place ?

Summary RTX 4090D released today, binning puts it below RTX 3080 10GB in terms of silicon quality. What I find interesting is how chopped the AD102 GPU is but still maintains its 384 bit bus and 24GB of VRAM. 14952 Cuda cores is a significant reduction compared to the 16384 of the normal RTX 4090. My thoughts Updated RTX 3000 vs 4000 binning scheme chart: What I'll be curious to see is if we get an RTX 4080ti, if it'll be a 320bit 20GB card. It's quite possible that it'll fall below the 14592 CUDA core count in the 13,000-14,000 core region, potentially at the bottom of what the AD102 GPU can reach. The rest of the story on the 4090D isn't what I'm interested in, but potentially how this affects the RTX 4080ti (if we ever see one), since there's a huge cap in AD102 GPUs between the RTX 5000 Ada's 12800 (256 bit bus) and the now second lowest bin, the 4090D, at 14952 (384 bit bus). NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database This is speculative, since TechPowerUp's projected die configuration has been wrong before (looking at you RTX 4060, shown above lined out). I'm still hopeful we get an RTX 4080ti with a 20GB or higher memory buffer. Since Nvidia hasn't put out an equivalent die on the workstation side, and I doubt their binning scheme magically doesn't have a million or so dies in the 13,000-14,000 core count region, they're probably waiting for competition in the space. I recently realised I hadn't enabled resizable BAR on my system so went about doing it today (updated MOBO bios, ensured VBIOS & Drivers for RTX 3070 were working) and once I enabled it in my motherboard BIOS it is still showing as not enabled in Nvidia Control Panel and GPU-Z (screenshot below). Not sure what else I can do so here I am :P. Specs below, TYIA Motherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4a/c CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: ZOTAC RTX 3070 8GB RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 PSU: 750W 80+ Gold

Bought a new gaming laptop: Hp victus 15 Specs: intel i5-13420H Nvidia RTX-3050(6GB) SSD 512GB Ram:8GB (Single stick) Problem: My friend with worse specs but 16GB ram has wayyy better performance than me. My fps drop a lot and my ram usage is around 80% while doing nothing and also the same while gaming. My GPU and CPU usage is very low (around 20-40%). Should I upgrade my ram to 16GB(dual stick) to fix the issue?

Hello! (Hope this is the right subforum) I thought I'd ask for help here, as this just doesn't make sense to me, and it would be much easier if I could do this. I have an admittedly older PC (new one soon, but not yet) with a 1050 Ti and while it works perfectly fine with my two regular screens (a main 27" 240 Hz and a smaller 60 Hz side screen I use vertically), my TV refuses to work with it when I plug it in with a HDMI cable, and Windows just refuses to detect it. The same TV works perfectly fine when plugged into my laptop (HP EliteBook I think, it just has an Intel GPU). I specifically bought a *long* HDMI for this, which feels extra awkward now. Now, the things I know and why all of this makes no sense to me: - I was previously on Win8.1 but upgraded to 11 recently. I thought maybe 8.1 didn't handle 3+ screens well, but nope, nothing has changed. - It used to work okay-ish when I plugged the TV instead of the main monitor into the same HDMI port, but now that won't work either for some reason. - Newest NVIDIA drivers etc., I've tried messing with all sorts of settings in both Windows/NVIDIA settings and on the TV, nothing helps. - Random but feels related somehow, I also tried plugging either monitor with DisplayPort instead of HDMI once and it just wouldn't work either. Works fine via HDMI, Windows refuses to detect anything via DisplayPort. Would be grateful for any ideas as this just feels like some kind of weird mystery. I'm wondering if this simply isn't a case of an old/degraded graphics card (purchased in 2018), but I'd like to figure out if there are other options before I get a new PC and end up disappointed again... Thanks in advance for any help, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! [and also attached HWinfo in case that helps]

Hey All! Just a preface, my system is a ryzen 3 3300x, 32gb ram, 750watt power suply, and evga nvidia 670. I have 3 monitors, 1 (27" 1080p monitor), 1 (27" 1440p monitor), and 1 (34" ultrawide 1440p monitor). I know my GPU is absolutely underpowerd for this, so I plan on upgrading to an rx6600 soon, but for now, I have a couple questions. Does the 600 series have surround? On the surround page on the nvidia website, it says 700 series or newer, but the page for the 670 claims that it has surround. Additionally, If i turn down both 27" monitors to 1920x1080p and the 34" monitor to 2560x1080p, can I run surround? could I just make the game windowed mode and stretch it out, or is there a way to run full screen (perferred) Thanks! Also, if I need to use 3 different cables, 1 dp for the ultrawide, an hdmi for the 1440p 27", and a dvi for the 1080p 27", would that work?

Hey guys, I'm in serious need of assistance guys... Recently purchased the s90c Samsung and its great alongside my 165hz monitor and i switch between the 2 depending on if I'm playing a game with mouse and keys or pad/casually. My issue I'm having is whenever i have them both plugged in, EVEN IF the tv is turned off, my monitor loses signal but i can still hear all audio, it doesn't do it until i close down the game weirdly but then the picture just doesn't come back, and when i say I've tried everything... I've honestly tried EVERYTHING. PC SPEC - 4080, 5800x cooled by 360mm h150i, 32gb 3600hz, x570 strix, acer pred 165hz, Samsung s90c 144hz (running at 120hz to stop occasional HDR flicker) Methods tried so far - rolled back driver, turned off gysnc (on both screens) uninstalled drivers and reinstalled, updated bio, firmware checked both screens and GPU, turned off v sync in control panel, set GPU to 'prefer maximum performance', set TDR delay manually... I've been trying to fix this for DAYS now and i literally cannot have my monitor plugged in at the same time as my TV, but it seems it randomly picks up a signal from the tele and prangs them both out. ANY HELP is much appreciated because I don't want to keep unplugging the HDMI every time I'm wanting to use my monitor through display port, but thats literally the only thing i can do to stop my screens losing signal and going black. Added note - as soon as the tv shows any signal, even if i have it set to show on only 1 display (my monitor) the monitor goes into some sort of lost signal loop and won't come back until i turn it off/on at the socket. HEEEEELP MEEEE ITS DOING MY HEAD IN

So, recently I bought a second hand MSI GTX 1080ti Sea Hawk X and tried installing it replacing my 1660ti, however, I could't get past installing the geforce drivers. The drivers would almost finish installing but then the display would flash with these small glitchy looking white/purple/green lines and restart. With every restart after that, the process would repeat, windows logo would load followed by screen going blank with glitchy lines and then restart. Or it would also sometimes not restart and just say no signal. Other times the glitchy lines would stay on the screen for 5 seconds or more before restarting. The only way to break the cycle was to boot into safe mode and use DDU to clear the drivers, then it would boot into windows normally. So, as long as the drivers weren't installed or I was in safe mode everything would work fine besides obviously not being able to actually use the gpu. Not sure if this is important, but I have 2 monitors and the 1080ti would only display to one of them. The person I bought the card from claims that It was working perfectly fine before I got it, which I am inclined to believe because he has videos of it working days prior (and proof of the date). He says he's never seen the card do anything like what I showed him. The cards vRAM fan is also loud (making an RRRRR sound) and inconsistent (would spin for like 2 seconds at a time), like its struggling to spin. Which he also claimed didn't happen before. He has been doing his best to give suggestions on what the issue might be. I even tried installing it on my girlfriends pc, which is a lot more powerful and updated, yet the symptoms were the same. Even the monitor problem where it only displays to 1 of 2 monitors. Will soon also try it on my friends computer which is even more updated and powerful. I also reinstalled my old 1660ti and had no issues. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Am I installing something wrong, is there a compatibility issue, or did I just get ripped off? The attached images show what the glitchy lines look like when they flash on the screen. Any help would be great! Specs: i5-7600 Gigabyte GA-H110M-H 2x 8gb DDR4 EVGA 500w psu (tried with brand new 700w to same outcome) Windows 10 64bit What I've already tried: Installing drivers in safe mode: They install successfully but when I try to restart into normal windows the crash cycle happens again and I have to use DDU again. Installing various versions of the drivers, even the exact version the seller had used Using a higher capacity psu Letting geforce experience automatically install them Letting Windows automatically install them Cleared CMOS DDU multiple times to clear old drivers Reseating the card Ran the driver installer as administrator Tried a clean install of the drivers with nv clean install looked for MSI version of the drivers, however couldn't find the 10 series sea hawk drivers Dusting the PCIE slot Tried shutting down the pc after installing drivers in safe mode and waited 30min before starting it again IMG_4105.HEIC IMG_1906.HEIC
