Hi everyone, I'm posting since you're my last hope. Here'smy problem : i have a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Eagle OC 8G (rev 1.0) that is not working properly. The card is stuck at 210 MHz (at idle, on desktop, browsers but also when gaming). The memory clock seems to be ok (boost up to 7000 MHz when launching a game or Heaven Benchmark). The card is also reporting 225W consumption on the GPU when idling, and 280W when in benchmark, even if the GPU's still at 210 MHz. I can "overclock" it with Afterburner and do a + 1 000 MHz, so the card run a "normal" 1210 MHz. There are a few frame drop when using this profile in Afterburner, but consumption is still at 280W and temps are around 50°C. I have tried multiple things to have it running properly again : - Removing the driver (using DDU) and reinstalling them (multiple times) - Completely fresh Windows install - Flashing the BIOS (MOBO and graphic card using nvflash) - Tried the card on my wife's computer As you can imagine, neither of these worked for me, that's why i'm posting this. I'm currently using my "old" KFA2/GALAX GeForce GTX 1070 on the same system, which work perfectly fine, but i would like to get back the 3070 to its full performance. I used to watercool my PC, and had a leakage, but i dried the card, and it worked during multiple months after that, it doesn't seem damaged, but it could be a cause. Of course, the problem occured a few months after the end of the warranty. So, if anyone have an idea, i'm all ears ! Hello, i've been struggling with issues for a month already. I built this PC last September and i can't say it has been a smooth ride. First, i had random crashes when playing intensive games. Fortunately, this was my CPU overheating and it was easily fixable by changing to a new cooler (i was using the stock one) Everything went great till last month when i started getting random crashes and restarts while gaming. At that time, the PC would crash even when playing non intensive games. Having youtube on the background was enough to cause a BSOD. I thought this was fixed by reinstalling drivers in safe mode using ddu, but yesterday i had a little bit of free time so i decided to play a couple of hours of Teamfight Tactics (a really non intensive game) and it crashed to desktop (Event ID 1002, Application Hang in event Viewer) Today, i tried playing Crysis Remastered and it made my PC restart (without a BSOD) after just 15 minutes. My PC specs are as follow: Ryzen 5 7600 Nvidia RTX 4080 (Gigabyte Gaming OC) ASROCK B650 PG Lightning Motherboard CORSAIR RM1000X PSU G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo CL 30 @ 6000 mhz (2x16GB) RAM. When i tried Crysis today i was expecting it to crash, so i was keeping an eye on temps at all times. Recently my Asus GL503GE started to lag(cannot go above 10-15 fps) in all games(and some normal apps). Here are the specs: CPU: I7-8750H GPU: GTX 1050ti RAM: 16 GB Storage: Windows 10 on a 120GB Adata SSD, and a 1TB HDD. I have tried reinstalling my display drivers, set my games to use the Nvidia GPU in the Nvidia control panel and the Windows Graphics preferences settings, use the 'best performance' power plan, but nothing has worked. I also have the latest BIOS version for my laptop and the latest Windows updates. When I play a game, the Nvidia GPU stays at 0% most of the time, but does random spikes of activity to 100% and the Intel GPU stays between 10% and 50%, with some random spikes to 100% as well. hello considering the 7900x3d is 50 euros more in my country is it goin to give a boost to gaming paired with an rtx 4070 super at 1440P resolution? the build is goin to do some productivity tasks to but gaming is a big part of the build(7800x3d is a no option).thnx in advance

So i got my nVidia GeForce RTX 3060 TI and it does this wierd usage thing where it goes from 0% to 20% and repeat the fans spins faster and slower with each one and i gotta ask if this is normal and if not what i should / Check / Do / or anything else the thing is i dont run anything rn like game or app ... maybe few apps on backround but nothing serious,

So basically I had an rx 570 but it went bust and soon I am gonna buy a laptop for college work so i bought a gtx 730 for time being but thisss stupid drivers just won't update or installllllll. It say it's not compatible with you os... Bullshit I have already tried most methods like doing shit on registory.. Reinstalling the drivers with ddu... I even went as far as reinstalling win 11 but it still say hardware not compatible with your os version Found out it's a pretty common so if anyone has a solution pls let me know thanks

I installed it and continued gaming. I also stream on YouTube so I'll link one of my streams for a reference of the GPUs performance. I then proceeded to shut down my PC and upgrade my RAM (mentioned above). After clearing CMOS and booting up again, I logged in to Windows. And that's when Windows became extremely slow. I'm talking sluggish mouse movement, Start menu taking 5-10 seconds to load, any UAC window for launching Admin stuff taking 5-10 secs to load. My whole computer was extremely slow. I restarted into Safe Mode, DDU'ed the driver and booted back into Normal Windows. Everything ran smoothly again. Then Windows automatically installed an older Nvidia driver. Still ran smoothly. However when I launched Valorant, it ran at 25-30 fps. That was no good. I installed the latest Nvidia Driver again. Same problem. Extremely slow Windows performance. 10-15 fps on Valorant and Heaven Benchmark. I stumbled upon this troubleshooting video that JayzTwoCents had put out a while ago wherein he talks about disabling Windows automatically installing drivers so that it's a truly clean install. So I redid the entire DDU process again - this time checking the option to prevent Windows from doing that - installed the latest driver and... same problem. So then I thought maybe it's just a bug in the latest driver and Nvidia would release a hotfix for this driver eventually. In the meantime, I would roll back to an earlier driver. (All driver installations henceforth are done after DDU in Safe Mode.) I went through 4 or 5 different versions. Starting from one just before the latest driver (551.76), dating back to the version that I first had when I played Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2020 (546.33). All of them caused the same issue - smooth performance before the driver, sluggish performance after. I tried using 1 stick of RAM and clearing CMOS. Same issue. I tried my old stick of RAM. Same issue. I replaced the CMOS battery. I reseated the GPU and RAM. Same issue. Tried the Studio Driver. No differenece. Same issue. I eventually took my PC to my local vendor from who I had originally bought the parts (Prime ABGB, Mumbai). They swapped my drives for one of their SSD boot drives and it ran smoothly. Installed the latest Nvidia GR driver and was able to recreate the same problem. Slow performance. Then they swapped the 3070 for a 2080 Super from their test bench. And it worked smoothly. With latest Nvidia Driver, it hit 250+ fps on Heaven. Unfortunately, they do not undertake GPU repairs and it's out of warranty so I can't get a replacement either. I am aware that I'll have to shell out some serious cash and pick up a new one. But given that I have nothing to lose, I'd like to try and repair this one. Also, given the fact that it runs smoothly without a driver, I'm wondering if there is a plausible solution? Again, I'm at my wit's end. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: I am typing this thread out on that same machine and it's currently running super stuttery. There is a previous post on this forum where I was trying to find the cause of the problem where my graphics was showing no signal when I launched some games. I have since taken the card out and found that on one of the pins there was half of the pin missing. Apparently, the pin was used for power so I think when I tried to launch a game the card couldn't get enough power and then stopped providing a video out but if you have any other theories then let me know. The card is an RTX 3070 MSI Gaming Trio X Does anyone know how one would go about fixing this card, whether it is fixable and who I should send the card to?

Current SPECS: Ryzen 5 3600, 6600XT, 32GB 3200MHz, Aorus Elite B450M, XPG Pylon 650 Budget (including currency): 100-150 USD Country: Pakistan Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA V, RUST, RDR2, AC Valhalla & I do 4K video editing too (mostly large projects). Plus I'm learning UE5 on this machine.

I ran some benchmarks (UserBenchmark and PassMark) and they both tell me that my pc is running below its capacity, compared to other similar PCs. More specifically, the problem seems to be with the graphics card. I have a Ryzen 5 5500 with a RTX 3070 (I know there is bottleneck in this configuration), but when I watch videos on YouTube of games running in this configuration, they all run much higher than I can get. Also, I recently installed the new Horizon Forbidden West, and I got an average of 40 FPS running everything on very low at 1080p. Something is wrong, but I don't know what else I can check. Any tips, suspicions? I bought this card at the beginning of last year, but it was used. It is a version of Gainward (Phoenix) that has LHR. Could it be that if it was used for mining, the graphics chip may be "tired" causing low performance? Is there anything I can validate on my own? Well, I did everything I could do with basic recommendations I received on Reddit. GPU Driver: most up-to-date possible (551.86). BIOS: most up-to-date possible F19 (AORUS B550M v1.3). All drivers updated. RAM XMP active. All AMD video drivers deleted (deleted with DDU). Resizable Bar enabled. I didn't notice any FPS improvement. As I said initially, I have no errors or problems, only extremely low performance for the GPU, given the comparisons with the same GPU + CPU combo that I researched online. Would anyone have any more tips or have gone through something similar that they managed to solve? Hello everyone, I just finished to build my new gaming PC. Here are my specs : CPU : 7 7800X3D MB : X670E RAM : 6000 mhz / cl30 watercooler : 360 case : ATX format Power supply : 1300i msi pci 5.0 (had a very good deal) Monitor : Asus VG27A - 1440p - 144hz (I will upgrade to 4K in the future, during the end of 2024 or during 2025) And for GPU, I still have my 3060 12gb aorus because I haven't decided yet what to do ... between buying a 4080 super which is in france between 1109 to 1200 euros (the model I want is 1200 euros) or invest for long term and buy a 4090 for 600 euros more (4090 costs 1769 euros now the FE model on NVIDIA website). Or do I wait for 5000 series BUT the 5090 will cost and will be too much ... and the 5080 will come in like 1 year from now and will cost I guess arround 1300 dollars (so in france it will be 1400 euros almost as a 4090 now !!) and in terms of performance be almost equal to a 4090 (lose maybe a bit in raster power and win in Ray tracing, as leaks say). My aim is to play on ultra settings in all games with RT ON if possible. What would you suggest ? Thank you for your reply. Roman

I have never had issues with my GPU and is dust free - in a well ventilated case. almost had it for a year. when i play games that use a lot of my GPU i will have backscreen crashes where my pc stays on, but with a black screen and loud fans. I end up needing to force shutdown by the button. i suspected its a temp problem.. when i went to check, i noticed temps being uncomfortably high on the gpu. i clocked it at 110c in the hot spot. but i have seen it go more then that but crashes before then. are these temps normal for this card or is there a fault with the card? (temps are in Celsius) are my black screens with the pc still on to do with the card overheating when playing games? helldivers2 is the one that black screens me. never used to do it before. my friend who has a 3080 also gets these types of backscreens when playing games, and theirs was to do with their case cooling. but the wired part for me is that my card is not being starved of cool air. As the title says, Borderlands 2 crashes instantly upon clicking "PLAY" in the launcher (specifically, it'll load the first frame of the 2K splash screen, then lock up a second and close). Borderlands 3 runs with no problems. Hunt: Showdown and L4D2 will both occasionally crash for seemingly no reason in the same way--all temperatures are seemingly fine, nothing particularly intense is going on, though my game will just freeze for about half a second with no audio, then play the next frame, then hard crash to desktop. I've verified integrity of game files for all of them, and issues persist. For Hunt, the crash crops up like every 1 in 4 games or so, and in L4D2 it happens after like 30 minutes or so of playing. As a bonus, Counter-Strike 2 will also crash like once every 4 or 5 rounds, and sometimes won't even let me load into the menu. I've tried running 3DMark benchmarks and stress tests (specifically, Time Spy, Time Spy Extreme, Fire Strike, and some others I can't think of) with no issues whatsoever. I don't remember the framerates I get in each game, but I believe they're all consistently >100. I've been dealing with these problems for months now and nothing I do can fix it. I just re-installed Windows hoping it was some problem with it, but the same problems are still around. I've gotten to the point where I'm considering just replacing my desktop that's served me loyally for a decade and just building a new computer, but I'd be willing to try whatever the LTT forum gods have to offer. Are there any special BIOS settings I should try using, options to change in Windows, or just some hardware incompatibility I have that I'm blind to? Feel free to suggest stuff that's plainly obvious as well. My experience debugging computer issues is really limited, so it's possible I might have just not considered something that everyone would start with. Also, in case it matters, my OBS settings are attached; I have the Replay Buffer running pretty much all the time, so that may have something to do with this.

Hi everyone, I have noticed that while I am watching videos on Youtube the memory usage increases of my GPU (NVIDIA RTX 3070 8gb). See Attached Image. I googled about this and I found out it has something to do with "Use hardware acceleration when available" in Mozilla Firefox. I also read somewhere that disabling this will increase load on the CPU (Intel i5-12400) instead of GPU. So which option is better? Is it better to put load on GPU while watching videos or live streams? Which option will lower the overall power consumption?

The problem is somewhat vague and seems to change how it presents itself. I apologize if anything is unclear, but I'm here to answer questions ASAP. Description of problem: Around 2 weeks ago my programs started crashing. At first it was discord randomly crashing and restarting, then my games would crash whenever a round ended, which I found very strange. It got worse over the two weeks and I eventually got frustrated not being able to fix it, so I formatted my drive and reinstalled Windows, but the problem is somehow worse. Now, most driver installers crash or fail, and I occasionally get various errors trying to browse the internet. Most notably, my intel chipset drivers fail to install, and my Nvidia drivers fail to install. The strangest crash is the Nvidia drivers because when I try to install them on a fresh windows the installer will quickly crash and close, then maybe 5 minutes later my screen will flicker and Nvidia control panel is installed. I've spent all day on Microsoft support trying to see if it's a problem with Windows, and even though they eventually got the Windows updates to install without crashing, everything else still crashes and might crash worse. Some drivers I have to install in safe mode and I can install my LAN drivers normally and successfully. I noticed the Q-LED (ASUS motherboard) for the CPU flashing while I was using the computer, and all troubleshooting information I could find from ASUS only mentioned the LEDs flashing during the boot process and didn't mention what they may indicate while the computer is running. Hi, I am building my first PC. I can start it with my CPU-graphics and installed windows 10 Pro. Everything works except that my GPU isn't detected in the device-manager and I can't get an image with the output of the GPU. I don't know, what I can do at this point, so I ask here (first time I ask for help in an online-forum). A lot of the things are bought used, but I don't think, that is the problem (the MoBo detects something in the PCIe slot). As I said, I can run windows with the monitor connected to the CPU-graphics. FYI I have internet and can install things (not a Nvidia driver, because no Nvidia GPU is detected), in case I need Apps, drivers, etc to fix the problem. The Fans of the GPU are spinning (different to other posts) and the lights are on. I am using a displayport-cable. I don't have another GPU to test it or another PC to test the GPU. Also no other monitor at the time (I am moving soon and I have my monitor there, not here). I don't even get a signal (not even for BIOS) when I plug the monitor into the GPU. In the BIOS (under Advanced - System Agent - PCI Express Configuration) I see x16 detected in the first slot, but that is about it. My build: (OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit) Motherboard: Asus Z490-e CPU: Intel i9-11900K GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB RAM: 2x16 32GB 3200 MHz kit (Corsair Vengeance Pro) PSU: be quiet! 12m 850W CPU-cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Elite Storage: Fikwot FN955 4TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 Monitor is old, but works after I put the new NVMe into my laptop and installed the basic display-drivers (it is worse than full hd so windows had a problem with it). What I've tried already: I installed a BIOS-update (newest one, 2801 x64) with EZ-Flash and a USB stick. In the BIOS I tried: I checked all the cables, turned it off and back on (while I tried my luck in the BIOS I had to reset it and update it again a few times). enabling iGPU Multi-Monitor setting the primary display to auto or the GPU a different Power cable for the GPU (PCIe 5.0 (both sides) as well as a 2x8 to 5.0 splitter, and I made sure, they were correctly installed at the GPU and the PSU) putting the GPU into a different slot connecting the M.2 to the second slot (is still there) Did all windows updates, etc. uninstalled graphics-drivers reset BIOS I really appreciate any help. Hello, my friend unfortunately had an issue with a BIOS update which bricked the motherboard. Bought a new one, all gucci. Downside is she has two monitors. If she has her first monitor plugged in, all works. If she has her second monitor plugged in, all works. If she has them both plugged in, first one stops and only the second one works. We've reinstalled graphics drivers for nvidia via a clean install, didn't fix it. We're now having a food break cause pissed off, but if anyone has an idea into what could fix it I would forever be in your debt. Thanks again, James.

I was reassembling some parts on a new cabinet and came across a different looking GPU 6 pin power input. According to its manual, this GTX 1060 should have the following pin patter: From Left to right and top to bottom: Top Row = D D Square. Bottom row = Square D D. However the atual hardware i have here is as follow: Anomalous Pattern = Top Row = Square, Square, D. Bottom Row = D, D, Square. My power supply follows the correct patter, the first one, the one user manual says it should be. The power supply 6 pin pci connector connects fine with the GPU, despite having a different pattern. The thing is, Im not sure if its just a manufacturing defect or the problem extends to circuitry level. I don't know how this GPU was mounted on the old cabinet, for when i took the job the parts were already disassembled. The previews IT guy moved to another company and i have no way to contact him. I don't know how to troubleshooting this, and im afraid of burn the GPU. I welcome any advice. Thanks in advance for the attention.

Hey everyone! This is my first topic so let me introduce myself shortly. I'm a 27 YO, male who lives in Turkiye. I have an interest in tech in general. So let's ask the question now. I got an Asus Strix 4090 recently and have a 1000 Watts PSU, FSP Hydro G Pro 1000W to be specific. I couldn't find any "easy, found in Google" kind of information about 12VHPWR cable or compatible 3rd party options. Do you guys have any information about this one or any 3rd party suggestion that I can order from Turkiye? I'm using the supplied adapter from Asus with 4x8 Pin connected to it in a Corsair 4000D case. I believe the bend looks ok but I want to be in the safe side with more compact cable solution. I didn't wanna order any type of adapter after the CableMOD news and recalls. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, this is my first post on the forum and I was looking for some suggestions for my current build. Current specs are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: Gigabyte Aero OC 4070 Super Ram: GSkill Trident Z Neo 3600 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B-550A AIO: Corsair H150i Elite Capellix PSU: Thermaltake GF1 850w SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2tb HDD: (2x) 2tb Dell server grade HDDs Case: Corsair 5000x w/ 10 corsair fans I've just upgraded the GPU recently and AM5 is on my horizons along with PCIE Gen 5. But I can't seem to let go of the 5800x3d yet and have to upgrade the motherboard, cpu, and ram. Also the mobo, ram, psu, and aio are about 3 years old at this point so I guess those would be my main upgrade points.

Hi, Randomly out of nowhere my screens will freeze then just go black, then my main monitor will flicker from an off black to an on black constantly. I've checked all my drivers to no avail and its really annoying me as its a brand new PC. I found out that Nvidia Geforce experience wasnt working last night and that when i opened the app up it was lagging my mouse out, i turned off the ingame overlay and it felt smoother. Any Ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks

Overall if price is not included who actually wins? Like overall is AMD or NVIDIA a better option when it comes to Games, Video editing, AI technology, so on so forth. Which brand tends to be better at what? like is NVIDIA better for Video editing & AI while AMD is better for gaming? I usually lean towards to NVIDIA as I had a horrid experience with their 5000 series, but I'd love to know now days what is the best on average. For this topic I'd probably want to compare the top of the top from both ends (RX 7900 XTX / RTX 4090) we can include their technological improvements too.

Hello, this is my first post here. Yesterday I installed the latest nvidia driver to test that new nvidia beta app. After installation and rebooting Windows 11 there was a short nvidia bios message shown before the default mainboard bios splash screen. This first time I have ever seen that. My PC booted, I started up a game (F1 23), while loading the game my monitors suddenly lost connection but the game was running (heard the gamesound). So i shutdown my PC (shutdown button on the case), waited and since then I‘m not getting any video output anymore on both of my monitors with that card. Windows boots up just fine (RGB syncing works and the hardware info on my keyboard works as well). I tested an old amd gpu via pcie riser cable and it works, i can see the windows desktop GPU is a Manli RTX 3090 with an Alphacool waterblock on it. Right now I‘m about to get that 3090 out, mount the aircooler on it and test the gpu in my second pc.
