Hey everyone, I am looking to upgrade my RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G to a RTX 4000s, but I have been kinda out of the PC building community for a long time and I am kinda overwhelmed with all the info online, so I've come here for help! Which of the RTX 4000s series would you recommend me? Do I also need to upgrade my motherboard and PSU? Any suggestions are welcomed! Because I work with neural networks that are depended on Pytorch and CUDA, no AMD cards please. Budget (including currency): 900€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, local Ai model training (PyTorch,CUDA), rendering programs Here is my build: CPU Intel Core i7 9700K Coffee Lake CPU Cooler Arctic CPU Cooler (I don't know the exact model, it was a present from a relative; I lost the box :/) Motherboard PRIME Z390-A Memory HyperX FURY Black 32GB Kit Storage Samsung 970 EVO NVMe™ M.2 SSD Storage Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe™ M.2 SSD - 1 TB Storage Samsung 256GB SSD 830 Basic Storage WD Red NAS Hard Drive 4TB Video Card GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G Video Card Intel® UHD-Grafik 630 Case Fractal Torrent (Recently upgraded) Power Supply Smart DPS G 700W Bronze Operating System Windows 10 Pro Operating System Linux Mint 21 'Vanessa' Cinnamon Edition (Dual Boot) Thank you in advance!

Budget (including currency): 180 USD Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4K video and photo editing, web design, graphics and UX design, 3D Rendering, coding, heavy multitasking, almost 24/5 operation. It will also handle some vms which I plan to run LINUX and other versions of windows. Other details I'm looking to build with a 3900X which costs around 12000 Pesos here in the Philippines. I now just need to decide on a motherboard. Which should not go over 180 USD (P10,000) I choose the 3900X in order to remove the workload from my old Acer Nitro 5AN 515 55 which has i5 10300H GTX 1650 ti 4GB 32GB 2999mhz DDR4 Ram I already have decided on a cpu with more cores and already have the following components in storage which I already bought years back: ASUS RTX 3060 OC 8GB Corsair Vengance DDR4 3200 32x2GB RAM Corsair Bronze 750W PSU 2 Segate Baracuda HardDrives 1TB Each 1TB SAMSUNG 980 Pro M.2 NVME

Hello, I am the first-time poster here as I made my account 20 ish minutes ago. I have an MSI Twin Frozr 7 2060 super card for my system, other specs are Ryzen 3600 xt 64 gbs of G.skill ripjaw ram and Gaming plus msi board (forget the chipset name). Very long story short this is the second time this card has failed on me. First time I sent it off to get RMAd by MSI and it lasted about 5 months before the same failure happened again. I then took it to micro center to get it tested and they said it was basically dead and to either replace the card or rebuild all the thermals. I don't like creating e-waste and I can't afford either solution at the time so I am seeing which one would be worth doing. Should I try to rma it again as whatever they did the first go around didn't work? Should I save to replace the card (thinking 3000 series to stay in the Nvidia family) or do I rebuild the card with new paste and pads (never done it before)

Budget (including currency): 2,000 - 3,000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Stable Diffusion and KoboldAI with PygmalionAI/Erebus LLMs which is why I now want that 4090 24GB. So this is the hard part, it's going to be a jack of all trades machine when it's not being used for the SD and KAI, so it will be used gaming/streaming/3D Printer slicer and CAD, possible NAS. Other details: Currently half half saved up. Looking to build in the next month or two. Here are the current specs: So like I stated before, I'm looking to upgrade to a 4090 due to the needed VRAM as I can't get the anything over 16GB LLM to run. (Which was already pushing the poor 3080 with it's 10GB the other 10GB is virtual) So I know that's going to cause me to have to upgrade a slew of other things, but I'm wondering what would possible with my current build. The games I play are normally not the latest and greatest, but sometimes take a bit more to run if modded or early access like Sons of the Forest, Hardspace Shipbreaker, Cyberpunk 2077, or Rimworld/Factorio. I'd like to keep my storage around, but if I have to turn it into a NAS later I can, it's just that I have a case that is massive and has space for all of them. I know I will need to upgrade the processor and the motherboard and RAM at some point as well, but finding the right combo for the specifics I want vs the general hobby stuff I do on my computer has me going cross eyed, and with glasses that hurts at times.

As of Q1 Nvidia holds roughly 95% market share in the machine learning accelerator market, and 88% of the dedicated GPU market globally. ROCM support continues to be very limited effectively making CUDA the only option for many industries. Does this prove dangerous for the future of these technologies, and should governments step in to put an end to Nvidia's market dominance? Hello and greetings from Poland, I'm new here, and as I saw a lot of briliant people here, maybe one of You could help me. Some time ago i saw an adverb on a local internet market place, that someone is selling graphic accelerators and is claiming that those are like an GTX Titan. https://www.olx.pl/d/oferta/karta-graficzna-jak-nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-6gb-CID99-IDJ8ODP.html I made some reserch and determined that those were made on a Nvidia Tesla K20x. So after a bit of search, I found a topic of a guy that changed a GTX 780 to a Tesla K20 http://www.guztech.nl/wordpress/index.php/2013/11/researching-nvidia-gpus-geforce-gtx780-and-gtx-titan-to-tesla-k20-and-tesla-k20x/ With a bit reverse engeneering I was able to change the hardware id (with those resistors) to 1001, and after flashing the cards bios I got a GTX Titan. After downloading and instaling drivers, gpu-z sees the card as a proper titan. The first problem is that I can't get windows to see the card in display control. like the guy that sells those Frankensteins Second thing, is that in the nvidia control panel I can pick GTX Titan to run 3d rendering but it makes no difference. The card is cold, and not running 3d apps. Anyone did such a swap, and may share some thoughts?

Summary Leaked pricing and Embargo dates for Nividia upcoming RTX 4070 cards have surfaced with a MSRP of 750 USD and 800+ for many AIB, with two embargo dates, one for the reference the day before launch, and one for 90% of AIB cards the day of launch on April 13th Quotes My thoughts For a card that is 75% the performance of a 4070ti, or at BEST a 3080, the price just seems out of this world, when a 7900XT, a card faster then the 4070ti can be found right now for 820 USD and refurbished 3080s can be found at 650 USD. Nvidia has lost their mind. These are the lowest binned AD 104 dies, as in the chips nvidia should just be happy they get any money out of at all. It is so weird to see the value stack of the entire line up so far be inversed with the 4090 being the only card that has a decent price/performance ratio and getting worse as you go down. the xx70 line used to be second to the xx60 for price performance and now its the worst of the lot. The duel embargo dates are kinda odd, but not that outside of the norm. I honestly never would have guessed they would have gone OVER 700 for the base MSRP Sources https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-allegedly-starts-at-749-us-price-custom-models-with-prices-close-to-4070-ti-msrp/ https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-splits-geforce-rtx-4070-review-embargo-to-msrp-and-non-msrp-cards For transparency, some of the info coming from MLID for the sources above.

I don't care if it spits out 1000fps these numbers are meaningless to me beyond a solid steady 60fps, if it dips under that then we got a problem, that being said if it's a mid-tier GPU going for more than $350 it's overpriced PERIOD. Moreover, a lot of these "so called": reviews I've come across on other sites that throw up a chart of cost per frame don't even mention frames in what program or game; if averaged, averages of what population of games and at what settings, so much lying going on these days? When it comes to NVIDIA cards and gamers, I see it as: XX90 cards are for whales and hard-core enthusiasts it's OK that they are over $1000 - $2000 for current or prior gens, because that's the target market. XX80 cards are for serious hard-core gamers that will either save up to get it or have a good amount of disposable income, $500 - $800 is where current gen should be & $300 - $500 for prior gen. XX70 cards are for above average casual or serious gamers that want the most bang for their buck and are price conscientious as such $300 - $400 for current gen is the right price and $200 - $300 for prior gen xx60 & xx50 cards are for new gamer, very causal gamers, or those on a seriously tight budget that need the upgrade, nothing in this class should be over $250 for current gen and nothing over $150 for prior gen. Crying Chip Shortage is baloney and hello the Crypto run is over and never coming back! These are just things they say to try and distract you as they rob you blind...just like Cost Per Frame. I hope Intel figures out that they just need to invest heavily into driver development to steal a good portion of the GPU market because the hardware they have is awesome IMO...the potential of teaming the GPU with the intel onboard Graphics in the CPU could be like getting free SLI IMO and add even more value...don't get me wrong I ain't going to rush out and buy an A770 because for me it's all about the drivers...same reason I dumped my Crossfire AMD GPUs back in 2017 and switched to a single NVIDIA GPU solution that was more stable and smoother in its performance. Am I right holding off on getting a new GPU in the XX70 series until I can buy one at around $350 or am I just dreaming?

Budget: ≤ $1000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (mainly FPS), Streaming/recording, Star Citizen Other details Currently I have a Ryzen 3700x and 2070 super paired with a 750w PSU. I thinking of upgrading the GPU to a 4070ti or 4070 which ever I can get my hands on. I trying to figure out if this would be something I should try, or should hold off. I would also be upgrading the PSU to 1000w or 1200w. This would also be like a intermediate/transition step before I do a Mobo/CPU upgrade as way not to completely blow my wallet if that makes any sense Monitor wise my main is 1440p144hz and my secondary is 4k60hz Resizable Bar is available in the mobo bios so will def be using that.

My desktop build consists of a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060, 16GB DDR4, and an EVGA 450W PSU - this system has worked for a number of years at this point with this configuration without having this particular issue I understand after infinite googling and forum surfing that code 43 is not an uncommon problem to have with GPUs, but every fix I've found online doesn't seem to resolve things in regard to installing/updating my drivers. Like any other day, I boot up my system, no updates on windows or graphics drivers the previous session I used it on, and I find my PC is only booting onto a single monitor and the resolution is 480p. I quickly find in the device manager that my 2060 has been disabled by windows (Windows 10 - trial version) with the message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" My attempts to fix this have included: DDU to remove any previous drivers/reinstall the newest one Disabling the device and re-enabling/uninstalling the device on the device manager Run a "Fix code 43" script I got from a trusted forum Install the most current driver (which was newer than the one I had when the system last worked) both in GeForce Experience and downloaded straight from Nvidia's website Physically remove and re-seat the GPU and its power delivery as well as reseat the motherboard battery What I've realized is that in any attempt to install the newest driver to the system, windows seems to block the installation even though all indicators show from the driver installer that it has been successfully installed. In Gforce Exp - when I install the driver it completes the task and then simply continues to indicate that it's downloaded and ready to be installed either express or custom installation method (I have done both express and clean install on downloaded from Nvidia and in Gfrorce experience) As of now, my device manager claims the driver installed is from 3/16, while the one I've attempted to install many times now is dated as 3/23 If anyone is familiar with this particular circumstance where it feels as though windows is blocking the installation of the newest driver to fix the error, even though Nvidia's platform indicates each time that it has been installed correctly, please throw me any tips or methods I haven't tried yet. At this point, I'm hoping this doesn't result in concluding my 2060 bricked itself randomly while my PC was turned off I run no virtual machines or lynix on this system, I just use the free version of windows 10 and play valorant lol - for some reason as well my watermark to activate windows has disappeared. Thanks, everyone!

So I was scouring eBay for some graphics cards when I came across an AMD v340 engineering sample for like 1500 bucks. What was super cool about this card is that it supported GPU virtualization. Unfortunately its way underpowered for what I need so I looked to see if Nvidia had anything available to pros or enterprise and I found the A6000 that supported their vGPU tech. They claim that with aggregation, the performance increase is close to linear, but I'm not sure if that would apply to something like a game engine that uses gaming drivers. The goal here is to have a dynamic server that can allocate GPU resources on the fly for several tasks, including a kick-ass gaming rig with that aggregated gpu. In principle if it scaled the way that I hope, It would make a single virtualized GPU that is 2x more powerful than a 3090 (the A6000 is like 10% faster I'm pretty sure). Why do I need such power for games? I work in the VR industry and I've been wanting to work with an ultra high fidelity VR game to demo a piece of hardware. Does anyone have experience with vGPUs or testing this kind of aggregation?

Good evening! I’m coming to the tech people to ask if my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti would be able to run dual ASUS ProArt PA278QV monitors at 1440p resolution and at about 65 to 70 hz. Unfortunately, I don’t really have the resources to test this before purchasing, so I’m relying on you guys!!

Hi, since about 2 days ago, games like GTA FiveM and minecraft have been crashing on boot, sometimes the game just crashes, other times the whole computer!!!!! I have reinstalled my drivers, updated windows and also did some trouble shooting with people on a fiveM server, since i thought it was that game only, until i tried minecraft! While running benchmarks it doesnt crash... like heaven, valley, and furmark I am on driver version 461.40 I also updated windows in the last couple of days, not sure if its related... PC SPECS: RTX 2070 R5 3600x 32gb ram @3200 Is anyone else experiencing these crashes??

Hi, I have a RTX 3060 Ti that i use to mine a bit when my rig is not in use. I use Nicehash to get a 60 MH/s with 125 W in power consumption. After I installed the latest driver update today I saw that my hash rate went to 50 MH/s and the power consumption to 200W! After I reinstalled the older version it went back to normal. I thought that I should let you guys know if you are running the same hardware. I went back to 461.92 btw. Do you guys have the same issue?

GTX cards are enough to run games for a average player. We don't need RT cores for video editing and normal gaming other than playing Minecraft and rendering 3d models with perfect lighting. It will be good If Nvidia bring back the lineup because RTX cards need extra silicon and in the middle of a silicon shortage that's a good thing. It will be a good thing for gamers. It still has acceptable gaming performance.

So i have an EVGA RTX 2060 SC Ultra, since about one month I've startet getting getting crashes while playing Valorant. When it happens, the game freezes for a sec. and then it turns black with a message box appearing: Graphics driver crashed. (forza horizon 5 also crashed once but without a message and since i haven't played it much and also don't play much of other stuff, i don't know if it's just Valorant) I have all the latest drivers and even did a wipe with ddu. First meassure was to turn off the overclocks: +75 MHz from core and 450 from VRAM. I still have Temp limit, power limit and core voltage at max since this shouldn't overclock it. But this still happens and today it crashed 3 time per game. normally i have to close the game with task manager since it's not responding anymore but one time today, it closed itself after clicking ok on the infobox. My temps while playing are in the range of mid 70s so nothing abnormal either and its not a mining card. i bought it new about 3 years ago. Is the card going bad or is there something i can do to fix this? Thanks for the help in advance

I have 2 graphic cards Nvidia 1650 Super (4GB) and AMD 550 (2GB) and I wanted to sell my AMD card but cant find good buyer. So I was thinking can we make SLI for that or not. And If we could then will that help in performance or its just make it worse.
