Is 8512 good points for cinebench r23? I read from google that above 1000 is good for gaming, but 8512 seems like alot for me. So is that a good score? I have the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G.

I plan on building a new pc once the prices for GPU's go back to "normal" prices. I plan on using AIO's to cool my CPU & GPU. Could I use two systems? One AIO for the CPU & a second AIO for the GPU? I can fit 2 360 waterblocks in my case so I do have the space for it. Would it be possible and are there things I need to look out for? The picture is the case I'll be using, a Raijintek NYX Pro in yellow.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Hkt9z7 I am getting into pc gaming and I was wondering if this would be a decent little machine?

Budget (including currency): 1300$ Canadian Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ARMA 3, League of Legends, total war, Xcom, Civ, all while running discord. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My friend only has a laptop, keyboard and mouse. He needs a monitor to go along with the computer, anything with a decent refresh rate and 1080p would be stellar. Current build I have https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/DarkLordMatt/saved/HGDdmG

Hello, so basically i need a new gaming laptop. i own an Acer predator 15 (model: Predator G9-592) and have been using it for about 5 years now but now its time to buy a new laptop since my current one is breaking already. so what im looking for is a laptop with - an RTX (yes to run minecraft with ray tracing if possible) - i dont care much about the processor but new is better i guess - at least 1TB storage (SSD prefered) or 500GB is fine but with expandable storage - full keyboard with number pad (i use that alot) -not so heavy or big like the ~3.5kg predator 15 laptop -display size doesnt matter much but FHD or 4K display would be great i found this SAGER laptop on amazon but i have never heard of "Sager" before so im not sure if this is a good one or not. here is the full name and specs: -Sager NP7877DW 17.3-Inch Thin Bezel FHD 144Hz Gaming Laptop -Intel i7-10875H -RTX 2060 6GB -32GB RAM -1TB 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD - Windows 10 does anyone here have some experience with sader laptops? also im not really a tech expert or anything so i dont know for example if RTX2060 *6GB* is weak or what. but is it recomended or not? if not then what would be a good gaming laptop with the specs specified above? the budget is about $1500 USD thank you in advance

HI all, Help a noob time... First time home PC build with about 1500-2000 euros budget. Ive been researching for a long time, reading up where I can, hunting around for best deals, watching as many how to's and I've trawled through LTTs extensive back catalogue for anything pertinent to my quest. As this build has come to fruition, I really wanted to wait for the stock of 5000 series Ryzens and the RTX3060TI but maybe someone could help me. I want it to be upgradable if I decide to up my GPU game in the future! I do already have the Meshify C case as I loved it on first viewing!... Current worstation: (since my imac died and I refuse to buy mac ever again!) * Medion Erazer i7-6500 2.50ghz * GeForce GTX 950M * 16GB RAM (not sure on speed at the mo) * 1TB Crucial SSD I already have an IPS 60hz 1080 21" monitor (But I will also add to this for a dual monitor set up with a 27" IPS 144hz QHD), graphics tablet, external USB hub, External Scarlet USB soundcard for my mini studio plus a sufficient keyboard/mouse combo so no worries there. Whilst the above machine has been my workhorse for the last 3 years, I am starting to find floors when I have mulitple graphic applications open of course and my gaming experience could be improved vastly! Also. Living in a very hot part of Spain, this laptop form factor runs hot in the summer so how much cooling will I be expected to provide for my build? conidering I shouldnt be loading the system and NOT looking at overclocking (yet?) Use: * Professional Graphic designer/Photographer using full Adobe CC suite inc. some video/music production * Blender beginner but looking to be enthusiast level * Casual Gamer - nothing too reliant on FPS but Id like to game in 1440 and maybe VR Current Wish List: (this is the help I'll need from all your extensive knowledge) Case: Meshify C (owned) + will probably swap out case fans for BeQuite 140mms? MoBo: looking at either X570 Aorus Elite or TUF Gaming X570 (Wifi not required) CPU: I am excited by the new AMD 5000 series but thinking I could probably start lower down the ladder, especially as can't get hold of them!? Looking at either Ryzen 7 3800XT or 9 3900XT CPU cooling: Not keen on AIO reviews so looking at either Dark Rock Pro 4 or Noctua NH-D15(s?) Ram: 32gb to start, with view to double. Looking at Trident Neo 3600 C16 or Trident 3200 C16 (not sure if the mobo/cpu choices can support?) Storage: I'm happy with this aspect as I do already run a laptop and have recently upgraded my SSD, I also have sufficient external archiving. For this builld I'm looking 970EVO 500gb M.2 for the operatin system and design programs to run from + a 1tb 870QVO SSD sata storage (possibly adding to this in future) GPU: This is where I'm really in the dark and need your help. I love the idea of Nvidia 3000 series, especially the more affordable 3060TI but maybe something less is more than sufficient? Or maybe I should look at professional GPUs like the Quadro series? But those prices scare me and force my budget to balloon way too much! *EDIT* PSU: I'm thinking in 750w and have been looking at Corsair and Be Quiet gold standard modular models...does this sound about right? Any help. opinions, pointers or advice would be grately received and I hope I've made my intentions clear enough for what I need. Maybe in the next 12/24 months I'll be looking at upgrading some parts too. TIA

Hello everyone, First time posting on a forum in general so don't know how to communicate properly. I have old parts laying around that I want to use as a NAS. The spare parts I have: CPU: i5-4460 RAM: 8gb ddr3 MOBO: MSI H81M-E33 PSU: EVGA 500W White Storage: 1TB WD Blue & (2) 256gb SATA SSDS I also plan to get 2 4tb NAS drives knowing that my old SSDs and HDDs might not work. My planned uses: - Backup area for MacOS and Windows devices around the house - Storage for music or extra files - Ability to backup NAS to offsite location - Possibly add on drives later on Main questions: - Can I even make a NAS out of my old parts? - I am looking at FreeNAS or unRAID but am not sure which one is best for the parts I have. - Can I connect to the NAS through WIFI?

hello, I have an i5 3470 and a rx 560 (2gb) and I want to upgrade it because it kind of struggles with some of the games I play at 1080p low settings. I know my cpu is old but I'm wondering what would be a good choice for an upgrade. my budget is about $300 and I have 450 wat power supply plz help if you can

Just got my first build up and running, and while installing Cyberpunk 2077 i noticed on HWmonitor that one of my temps was high (TMPIN4, averaging 88C). The only closest temp is TMPIN8 at 68C, but CPU, GPU and rest of mobo is fine. Is there something i should check on the mobo, and at what temps should i be worried?

Budget (including currency): 1500EUR Country: Slovakia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I am looking for a good al-rounder desktop for games and workstation use. Currently my work include heavy use of MS Office with lots of open browser tabs and I will be working with VR, Unity and UE 4 in the near future. Not as a professional content creator, but as a researcher in using VR at a business level. Most of my games are poorly optimized and/or CPU depended like Guild Wars 2 and grand strategies like Galactic Civs III, Hearts of Iron IV, Europa Universalis, Stellaris with mods, ARMA III. AAA titles 1 year after release. Other details: Hello! Please bear with me on this, some explanation is needed. This August a gave away my old desktop (i5-6500, GTX 960, 16GB RAM). Back then i used my PC for studying (lots of MS Office and open browser tabs included), work (same as before) and light gaming when I had the time. While it was awesome for studying and work, it somewhat struggled with gaming. But it was good enough to get the job done. However, I was promoted in my research institute and will work with VR, Unity and UE4 in the near future. While I will get PC for that in my workplace, I would like to do some work at home. I want to get a good PC that would last 3 or 4 years without the necessity of upgrading, that's why I want to use new components. A lot of stuff is unavailable or have ridiculously high prices, so the budget is not accurate at the moment. Anyway, any advice is greatly appreciated. So far I came up with this: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 608,90 EUR MOBO: ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS 131,90EUR CPU Cooler: NOCTUA NH-D15 SE-AM4 98,90 EUR GPU: ASUS GeForce TUF RTX 3070 O8G GAMING Not listed. Can't find relevant price in my country. it should be approx 700 EUR RAM: HyperX 32GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18 FURY 157,90EUR SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB for OS 76,90EUR SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB 129,90EUR HDD: WD Blue, 4TB 102,90 EUR PSU: Corsair TX750M High Performance 100,90 EUR Case: SilentiumPC Regnum RG6V TG Pure Black 61,90 EUR PC Fan: NOCTUA NF-A14 PWM 20,90EUR I know, it is more than my bugdet. The prices are placeholders for some cases (Side note: I don't care for RGB.) I probably forgot something. I used prices from this eshop and they are known to have crazy prices in some cases. I did not do actual prices right now, for most likely I will build the PC in January or February 2021 when GPU should be more available. Is it realistical to spent 1500EUR for Ryzen 5900x with RTX 3070 PC? I can spend more, lets say up to 2000, if the bang is worth the buck. I have a 1080p monitor right now, but I want to buy a 1440p in Q1 2021. It is not in the bugdet 9If anyone can recommend a good 1440p monitor, please do). I hope this makes sense. If I forgot to mention something, let me know. Thanks for all responses.

I just built my first computer and all has been well if not perfect for the last two weeks. Games, 3D modeling and animation, everything ran wonderfully. Today I left it on for a while as I went to the store, some programs open but nothing actively doing a major task. When I got back it was off. It wasn't in sleep mode, and it would not boot when I pushed the power button. I turned the power supply off for a few seconds then flicked it back on, the limited RGB I have came back to life and the machine booted like normal. My main question is if I should be worried about this? Are my components possibly being damaged/or in a slightly wrong configuration? Maybe it is nothing to be worried about, but I don't want to overlook it. Here is a link to the list of parts I used if that matters: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/McHuckabagel/saved/XWRmrH

So I was planning to uninstall my network adapter temporarily because it cannot detect wifi, but the uninstalling process took too long so I thought of restarting my laptop. But then, the restart took almost 10 mins. So I thought pushing the power button to force shutdown would help, but now it's almost 20 mins and won't finish the boot. Also, I can't seem to go to bios and do anything like safe mode and stuff. HP Pavilion x360 15 Windows 10 Home Intel Wireless AC-7265 1tb Seagate Firecuda

So to start off at the cpu. I am planning on using a i3 10100f but I have a problem with picking out a motherboard. Am I only capable of using 2666mhz ram simply because intel only allows the i7 and i9 to use higher speeds ?( like 2933 ) I am not from the US so graphics card prices are not a problem to me so is the gtx 1660 super worth getting or should I stick with a gtx 1650 super ? I am planning on playing AAA titles at higher setting. Those are the only questions I need awnser's to but as an added " bonus " if you will I am gonna ad my previous pc specs. Yes it is a laptop. Intel pentium 1.9 GHz boost clock,6 gb of ddr 3, I had a 1TB hard drive but it died on me so now I have a 120gb ssd, and 126 ( I think ) mb of vram ( integrated ) Keep in mind I struggled with this for 2 years and I have beat games like fc4 and other grafically intense games with config files and super low mods and after getting the pc will finally be able to experience higher fps than 15-20

Hi! I'm setting up a working-from-home and gaming setup in an H-configuration: I game on Monitor3. Right now, I have two Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz 144Hz as my Monitor2 and Monitor3. I would like to get 27" 1440p monitors for the rest (Monitor1, Monitor4-5). I was looking at 32" 4k 144Hz monitor for Monitor3, but I couldn't find one. Also, the distance between me and Monitor3 is about 21 inches. My GPUs are an RTX3080 and a NVS 510. Curious if I should upgrade the NVS 510 to something else with 3x DisplayPort GPU. Something that stays cool would be nice. Questions: Should I go for higher refresh rate monitors for Monitors 1, 4-5? Or 60Hz? How come some 60Hz monitors are as expensive as high refresh rate monitors? I don't understand the difference between the two types. Which monitors would you recommend? Should I upgrade to another GPU and which one? Are there any good 32" 4k 144Hz monitor with G-Sync? Or, is it worth getting a 27" 4k 144Hz monitor with G-Sync? Thank you for reading!

Hello everyone, following one of my other posts about troubleshooting a bad card, I bought an LSI card on the recommendation of a forum member. I have it on a Windows 10 system (Ryzen 7 3700X on x470 if that matters) and the drivers are installed and Windows sees the raid card just fine without issue, but the issue comes to seeing the drives. The card is brand new (or factory settings at least) from Newegg, and the instructions basically just tell you that Windows is an operating system and an operating system is needed to use the card, so basically useless. I have a single cable that splits into 4 sata headers with an adapter for sas for power plus data. Other than insert the card and install the drivers, I have done nothing else and the drive do not show up, and I feel like I'm missing something obvious, please help, thank you

A web show I like is doing open auditions for a couple of characters, and I'm planning on throwing my hat in the ring. For now, all I have is a USB condenser mic that came with my Mic stand. It sounds really good to me on playback, although there's a noise floor I set the recording volume in windows to be above ~75%. The thing is, everywhere I'm looking for tips on voice recording says "NO USB MICS! NOT PROFESSIONAL! IF YOU USE A USB MIC FOR VOICE ACTING, I WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND SH** IN YOUR CEREAL!" /s I want to know *why* they're so bad, but everywhere I go for explanations, it's just voice actors yelling about how bad USB mics are. I'm really trying to find out what is it that actually *makes* them that bad? Is it the connection bandwidth? The frequency range? Noise floor? What is their technology missing that is important in professional work? I really want to know, and I can never find an answer. Anyone here got one?

Alright so I've been using this old Dell latitude E6440 for quite a while now and its actually ok. it can run some crappy single player games and tf2 so I'm pretty happy. but I've always been too scared to buy a nice multiplayer game out of the fear that my laptop wont be able to run it. According to Speccy this things got an Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Dell), I have no idea what this means or how good it is. I would really love some help identifying the specs and or how good or bad it is. I'm relatively new to this so please be patient as I don't know much, so any help whatsoever is very much appreciated. thanks so much have a great day

I was just starting to see how convenient local media server streaming is at home. I had a USB drive connected to my router and was sharing files using the SMB protocol, it was amazing(it streamed as if I was watching content local to the streaming device). This was until I started having restless nights in bed worried after reading countless articles about how SMB is dangerous. So I did what I thought was the responsible thing and disabled SMB on my Router, Windows PC and my android :(. I was still craving the local media server streaming experience, so I researched NAS drives, specifically using a Pi 4, then I read it also uses SMB. Do I need to activate SMB on the devices I want to watch the content on. Will i get Wannacried? Is it safe? If it is safe, how is it any different to using SMB on my router and Windows PC with a USB drive. I just want to be content with my content. Plz halp.

Budget (including currency): $4000 USD (Doesn't have to be exact) Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk 2077, CK3, Kingdom Come Deliverance Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Aim: My goal is to have a high end gaming PC that will last for a long time. Monitors: I will need two monitors and would prefer for one monitor to be 4k to focus on graphics and the other to be a monitor for high fps. Windows OS will be necessary. Peripherals: I will everything except for a gaming chair. This includes keyboard, mouse headphones, Wi-Fi adaptor, Bluetooth adaptor, etc. Why are you upgrading? All my life I have been gaming and only have had an Xbox and my mothers hand me down gaming laptops. I have been saving up and feel like $4000 is a good amount to get started with. Other Information: RGB is a take it or leave it for me, I don't want to spend more just to have it. I have big hands and would like a mouse that is made for big hands. Overclocking is not something I am interested in. Case design doesn't matter to me as long as the parts fit. I am willing to wait for say the Ryzen 5000 series to release, more 3080s to be back in production, or any other parts or for sales. I don't have loyalty to any brand.

I've almost got this build working. in fact, I actually HAD it working at one point but I am once again lost. Working on upgrading the graphics card in my system from a gtx 730 to an XFX Radeon RX 5500 XT CPU is a core I7 6700 power supply is EVGA 500w, the 5500 has to be connected with a Thermaltake riser cable. Windows 10 on an m.2 without a screw I'll try to explain what has happened so far as simple as I can initially, the first time I tried installing the 5500 this would happen: it would try to boot then freeze. after switching back and forth between the new card and the old card a few times I ended up having to reinstall windows. Then the freezing on boot stopped and I got into windows with the 5500 without issue. Used it for a few hours even. Next step was to install the AMD drivers for some reason Any version of the Adrenaline drivers I downloaded would give me error 182, saying my and hardware was not compatible. looking up the error, a common solution is to make sure old graphics drivers are uninstalled. I download DDU (Display driver uninstaller) & it tells me the best way to uninstall the old drivers is in safe mode try to boot into safe mode (still with the 5500) computer freezes at boot...wth I put the 730 back in PC starts back up Uninstall the drivers & restart...works fine shutdown & puts the 5500 back in... the PC has gone back to freezing on boot this only happens with the 5500. I'm sure the card works because I was able to use it for a few hours without issue (without the AMD drivers) before uninstalling the NVIDA ones. I've since tried system repair & system restore with no change. and windows won't let me do a reinstall of windows 10 via the cloud download anymore for some reason. not that doing a fresh install again would help. Yes I have tried to install the AMD drivers with the 730 in & it tells me you can't do that without AMD hardware in your system I can actually get into the bios and boot mgr before it freezes w the 5500 just nothing windows related Honestly, I have no idea what to do at this point. Like I know there is a way to get it to work. I've SEEN IT WORK. But I'm completely lost at what to try. sorry this post is abit long.
