  1. Hi folks, First of all - my first post here, so it's nice to finally join the community! But let me get to the point My setup: Case: Corsair 275r Cable Management: Quite tidy! Will try to provide the photo soon. Fans: - Front: 2x BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 120mm (top+mid) + 1x 120mm Zalman fan (bottom). All pulling from front. - Back: 1x Zalman Fan (140mm). Pulling air from CPU and blowing it through the back of the case. - Cooler: The Fans that came with the Noctua cooler (2x, pulling the air from the front and blowing in the back - 1 fan in center, 1 fan in front above RAM). - Top: No fans (just a dust mesh-cover-thing) CPU: Ryzen 5800x (NO OC), bought together with the mobo last week Thermal Paste: Thermal Grizzly Hypernaut Mobo: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro (rev 1.0) Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 Mhz DDR4 I use HWMonitor and CPUId for monitoring and benchmarking. CPU Tempeartures Idle: 34-45'C While playing: 60-68'C While benchmarking with CPUid: 74'C The problem Whenever the Noctua fans spin up, especially to the max speed of 1500 RPM (which happens almost all the time while playing pretty much anything), the whole thing sounds like a microwave. This was super counterintuitive to me, as all the reviews praised Noctua for its silence and performance. I've recently switched from Ryzen 1600 with its stock cooler and the difference is incredible, with my girlfriend immediately noticing the noise after I changed the PC parts. Sadly, I don't have any accurate way to capture the noise apart from maybe recording a video on my phone. The fans are almost inaudible at low RPM when the computer is absolutely idle, it's the high RPM that produces the whiny, almost vacuum-cleaner like noise. What I've tried - Replacing the thermal paste (previously I've used the one dot method, this time I've used a bit more of the paste with the 5-dot method. Surprisingly, the 1 dot method actually covered all of the CPU, to my surprise, even though I used only a small blob the radius of a nearby transistor) - Reseating the fans (several times) So, is this just normal in the Zen 3 world and I should get used to it or is something actually wrong here?
  2. Hi I was watching some videos on installing the Noctua NH-D15 and was wondering which way the fans should point. The guide I was watching pointed the fans directly to the exhaust fan. I was told that it's better for the fan to point away from the blower so the airflow would bounce back towards the exhaust fan. Which is the correct way?
  3. Hey there, I'am currently building a small DIY NAS for all my files. For Mainboard I wanna use a X570D4U from ASRockRack because its ECC support and IPMI features. At the beginning of the project I bought myself a Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4, cause I have had very good experience with it on my previous PC build. After I watched some Reviews of the Mobo and looked a little bit deeper into the pics, I saw that the RAM Slots and the CPU Fan mounting brackets are, due to better cooling in server cases turned by 90° on this board. But if I would install my CPU Fan like so, it would ventilate from the bottom of the case to the top or vice versa. So finally, is there anybody out there, who encountered this problem before or know, if I can turn my Fan by 90° degree to align it with the airflow in my case ? Thank You !
  4. Hey tech friends, hoping you might be able to help point me in the right direction as this is my first build since my last pc 10 years ago, and I'd very much like to overlock the CPU and memory but truly have zero personal experience. I've pulled together some great parts and would love to get the most out of it. Does anyone have a guide or specific set of instructions for reference to get started? Thanks for your time and support, fingers crossed! 6. So i have a question, i just ordered an Noctua nh-d15, to replace for my cooler master h100, simple reason is that im just not a fan of AIO cooling. Are my temps gonna become higher, lower og similair on my CPU? do i need to remove my CPU from the socket to clean of the thermal paste or can i do it mounted. And also, it's been some years since i have last time tinkered with my PC, so in what order do i take the AIO out, water block first, or radiator. Obviously i will remove the GPU to get proper acces. My setup: Case: NZXT H500 Motherboard: ASUS TUF Z390 PLUS GAMING Hard drive: 1TB M.2 NVMe X4 (INTEL 660P) CPU: Intel Core i9 9900KS RAM: 32GB 3000MHZ HYPERX PREDATOR GPU: ASUS RTX2080TI 11GB ROG STRIX

  8. Hi, I have a question. Can you still fit fans on the top of the case if you install the D15? -snip-
  9. Hey man I'm in the same dylema as OP and was wondering where you got that "can also crack your motherboard" thing? I'm not insinuating it's false, just curios
  10. Hi guys, I have recently bought a new workstation with i9-9900k and I think it is overheating. When I am rendering in blender (all cores and threads on full load) the temperature goes up to 90+°C (194°F). And I don't know what am I doing wrong. :D Is it because the Noctua NH-D15 can't handle that cpu or what? Thanks for any response. Sorry for my english, it is not my native language.
  11. Hello, I'm building my first pc, this is what I have (I' ll overclock): -MSI z370 gaming pro carbon -Intel I7 8700k (delid) -Asus RTX 2080 Dual OC -BitFenix whisper M 650W -Intel SSD 660P 1TB -2x 3TB 7200rpm HDD in RAID 1 (so my data it's safe) After some researches I ended up with these four coolers as the best options. I want to aircool since unless you use a 280mm rad air it's better and wayy cheaper. These are the prices in Italy, what would you recommend me and why? -Scythe Fuma rev. B: 55€ -Scythe Mugen 5: 58€ -Scythe Mugen 5 PCGH edition (double fan): 60€ -Noctua NH-D15: 90€ -Noctua NH-D15: 80€ I don't really care about loudness (unless it's like having an helicopter in your case), I care just about cooling performance and price to performance. Thanks for your help!
  12. My Cpu temperature for my Ryzen 1700x is at 42-43c when idleing, is that normal? I am using a high tier cooler which is the Noctua NH-D15, and from other comments I have seen, people had said they have gotten way lower temperatures than what I have, around 30c with their Noctua fan and 1700x, why is that? Also im not even overclocked either... im running this chip at 3.5 ghz
  13. I have done extensive research for about 5 months to make the best build I could in my region for a budget of $1925 ($185 shipping + tax, yes I know, wtf right? or is it normal?). Now, finally I want to clear all my doubts. I mostly play video games and here are my specs.......Specs: Intel Core I7-7700k (newegg.com) Noctua NH-D15 CPU air cooler (newegg.com) GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB (newegg.com) Team T-Force / Night Hawk 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000 (newegg.com) Asus ROG strix Z270E (newegg.com) EVGA 750 G3 PSU (newegg.com) Cooler Master Master Case pro 5 Nvidia edition (local) 240GB Kingston A400 ssd (newegg.com) Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD 7200rpm (newegg.com) Ok so,Question 1 - I know the I7-7700k gets hot, so does the Noctua NH-D15 air cooler really perform better than the H100i, like it has been stated in many websites? Also can anyone give me the temperature of I7-7700k with the NH-D15, I can't find it. I have no intention of changing the processor to be clear.Question 2 - I've seen videos showing that video games prefer the higher clock speeds of the I7-7700k than the Ryzen 1700x, so is it better than the Ryzen 1700x in gaming. I only want to know about gaming. But Ryzen's cores and threads can be useful in some cases. I have no interest in x299 and it's over priced motherboards, sorry 7740k Question 3 - I just stumbled upon that Team t-force Night Hawk RAM in Newegg, I had chosen a Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM kit before but this RAM is bit cheaper and is said to perform better. Plus it also has LED!!! So which is actually better? LPX has CAS latency of 15 while Night Hawk has 16, but it performs better. Does CAS really make a huge impact?Question 4 - In my region, the gigabyte card that I chose is the cheapest GTX 1080 I could find with the next card $40 costlier (both gigabyte G1 and Aorus at the same price are next in line) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125880&ignorebbr=1. Is it as good and does it get hot. Should I spend 40 more dollars to get the Aorus, but I don't want to, after all they are all the same GTX 1080 with different clock speeds and coolers.Question 5 - Is the Kingston A400 really good? Linus recommended it for a budget build. I could get the Kingston SSDNow or SanDisk SSD plus for a 9 dollars more but I am a little tight on budget, gonna grab whatever I get but if the difference in performance is massive, I might consider.Question 6 - Is the Seagate Barracuda 2tb 7200rpm good? There is also the consumer favorite WD Blue at the same price point, but it only has 5400rpm and theoretically 7200rpm delivers 33% higher speed. What are the features of WD that makes it so famous? For all I know it is not the price in my region.Question 7 - What should I name it? I am thinking 'Death Star' from Star Wars, a battleship the size of the moon that can destroy a whole planet at once. Any recommendations, it is going to be in black and green color on the outside and RGB on the inside. Overall, is this a good build? Both in performance and looks (except for the NH-D15, for which I prioritized performance over aesthetics and the Dark Rock Pro 3 is costlier in my region and the R1 Ultimate isn't available). I'm not keen on changing anything. This looks like it'll be able to play intense AAA title 80+ fps @ 1080p. Any help appreciated but experts who really knows their stuff are even better. Thanks in advance!!! : )
  14. HI peeps, Sorry for the wall of text firstly, but I have searched the internet for advise to fix my issue, but none seem to have the same setup as I have. so if you would allow me to explain how I have my rig setup, I believe this will aloow the more experienced builders in here advise me correctly. I am not new to building and repairing computers but I am new to UEFI BIOIS and PWM Hubs setups. The pertinent part of my setup is an ASUS Prime Z270-A motherboard, a Noctua NH-D15 CPU Fan (2 Fan Setup) & a Phantek Enthoo Evolve Case (as it comes with a PWM Hub and 3 Case Fans) ASUS GTX1080 ROG STRIX Gaming Graphic Card (Fans release heat into the case), please note that I have upgraded the UEFI BIOS to the latest too. RIG SETUP & INFO I have connected both CPU fans with their Low Noise Adaptors (BUT not without them - as it then does not reach the PWM Hub) and then to the 4 pin PWM Y-cable supplied with the Noctua, this I have then connected to the PWM Fan on location (CN7 fan 5 (BUT I have also tried various other positions on the hub)) with the included 12v sata cable on (BUT also with the cable off). The PWM Hub is connected to the motherboard on the CPU_FAN port (BUT I have also tried the CPU_OPT port.) UEFI BIOS SETUP & INFO I have gone to the Advanced Mode>Monitor and I can see the temps of the CPU, Motherboard & PCH fine but not the fan speeds although they are all being monitored ( I guess this is due to not having any fans directly connected to their respective ports). In the Advanced Mode>Monitor>Q-Fan Config I have tried the following variations to remove the error message. (Extension Fan Configuration is permanently disabled as I do not have the cabler required. Also Chasis Fans Config is Disabled due to all of them controled via PWM HUB) a) Disabling CPU Q-Fan Control (Note: Fan at full speed) b) Auto CPU - (Note: Fan at full speed. I have also cycled the CPU Fan Speed Lower Limit through the whole range (Ignored/200/300/400/500/600RPM) c) PWM - (Note: Fans speed low. I have also cycled the CPU Fan Speed Lower Limit through the whole range (Ignored/200/300/400/500/600RPM) ISSUE When I power up the computer all fans respond in all the above hardware configurations and they seem to be working fine, BUT on the POST I keep ony getting an error message "CPU Fan speed error detected. Ensure that the CPU Fan is properly installedn on the CPU_FAN header or adjust/disable the Fan Speed Low Limit option the UEFI BIOS. Press F1 to Run Setup." Regardless of which setup I have tried. So is there a way for firstly to have all the fans work controlled via the CPU_FAN port in the motherboard & the PWM HUB without the error appearing? OR Another alternative setup I would not mind doing is having the CPU Fan controlled directly by the CPU_FAN port (thats easy) & the 3 chasis Fans reacting to the temperature within the computer case (how would I need to set this up both physically & in the BIOS?) Hopefully someone is willing to read tghis & assist me. Thanks in advance
  15. So im upgrading my case as my new CPU cooler (Noctua NH-D15) doesnt fit. I was wandering if it would fit the case im planning to buy (Phanteks Eclipse P400S). The case is supposed to fit a 165mm cpu cooler but on PcPartPicker it says its not compatible. Thanks for your help!
  16. This isn't going to be much of a post, I'm still working on the PC. But I had to report my early results from delidding. At 1.5v 5ghz it will not break 58c on hottest core, and it immediately drops back to around 55c under 100% load. Right now its at 1.38v and doesn't break 48c on hottest core. I will upload some pictures and stuff later, but to all you other delidders out there take your time and do it right with the best stuff, and don't put ANY adhesive under IHS. And youll get 30+c drops like this consistently, I've done it on 3570k and now a 6700k. I will be doing another 6700k soon so I will have another thread about that when I'm done. Asus z170-a I7 6700k Noctua d15 UPDATE: Added some pictures of temps while installing some games and then a stress test + installing games in background. I get the time of stress test isn't long, but believe it or not temps weren't increasing with time. I'll upload more pics later. UPDATE: Got a core 0 error around 11 minutes, so I boosted LLC to level 4 which gave me a small voltage bump under load, and temps are still beautiful AF if you don't mind my saying so... See new pics for detailed info from 1 hour stress test.
  17. So I built this machine after doing a ton of research and watching this LTT video. I originally started out with the intention of transferring everything I could from my mid tower into an ITX case for greater portability. What I ended up doing was building an entirely new PC, transferring nothing but my SSD, HDDs, and GPU. This is primarily because I was coming from an i7-4690K and much to my chagrin, MITX Z97 motherboards have all but fallen off the face of the planet Earth. My local Micro Center had the Gigabyte Z97N but I bought (and hated) that board. I sold the 4690K for $200 to fund the 6700K ($300 at Micro Center). I bought a cheap PNY SSD and Pentium G3258 to have that other machine set up as a PLEX server and Steam streaming machine in the living room. Anyway, without further adieu: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/MgYrxr I've since come to my senses and removed the badges from the side of the case. I have it going into an ROG Swift alongside a Visio P55-C1 4K-HDR monitor. My keyboard is an old IBM Model M from 1993 and my chair is a Herman Miller Aeron. Not pictured is the little laptop stand I use for my mouse and huge mousepad. As much as I love this case one thing I'd like to see Phanteks improve is airflow. This case is designed for water cooling but the top mount is far from ideal for rad placement because of the tiny slits for air intake/exhaust. I've gotten better results with the Noctua NH-D15 than I did with the Corsair H100i V2 which I bought for this case and returned. A modest OC (4.5GHz) brings idle temps in the mid 20's in a cool room, load temps peak in the mid-upper 60's. The Corsair brought me well into the 30's/70's and was considerably louder to boot with the same OC profile and ambient temperature conditions. I had the rad mounted as an intake on top with two high static pressure Noctua fans as intakes in the front. So that's another thing, if you're going to use the front of the case for intake fans you really ought to go with high static pressure due to the closed off nature of the front of the case. The hardest thing to cool in this case is the GPU due to the small amount of clearance between the bottom of the card and the PSU basement/drive cage. I feel like I may be able to improve my current temps by consolidating my data to a single 4TB WD Black and utilizing a mount either above the GPU behind the MOBO panel. By doing so I could remove the drive cage and eliminate the HDDs/HDD Cage as an impediment to airflow. By trial and error, I found that a short PSU (140MM) made a difference as well. Last but not least, the exhaust fan. The exhaust fan is a special 15MM fan from Prolimatech and adding it made a bigger difference than I thought possible. A full thickness fan will not fit with this CPU cooler (heatsink fins and back of case are about 1-2 MM too close). I used this machine without a rear exhaust for a while because I figured that the cooler is so close to the back of the case that it probably wouldn't matter. I was wrong. Adding this fan cut CPU temps by 5-7 degrees Celsius. Overall, this is pretty big for an ITX build but it's clean and rewarding and it looks nice in my opinion. I have some critical things to say regarding the case but don't take it the wrong way: if your goal isn't to get the smallest case possible, the Evolv ITX is the best mITX option on the market IMHO. Best doesn't equal perfect though, and the following improvements would bring the case dangerously close to perfection. My advice to Phanteks: add filtered ventilation to the top and front of the case. Make the top removable. Despite being very roomy for an ITX case I still struggled to mount the fans on the Noctua due to how hard the clips are to reach. Being able to pass my hands through the top would eliminate issues like that. The basement cover for the GPU and drive cages bumps right up against the bottom of the GPU. With good fans and a low ambient temperature this hasn't proven to be too big a problem for me but during the summer months who knows. If there was any way to give the GPU just a bit more room to breath. Just another half inch would probably make a pretty big difference. I went with a short PSU with GPU breathing room in mind (the basement has vent holes) but I'm thinking of other things I can do to improve airflow. Maybe consolidate the 1 TB and 3 TB to a single 4TB? That way, i can mount the single HDD somewhere else and remove the drive cage entirely, leaving nothing to impede the airflow from the lower front intake. I digress... I didn't build this to be ostentatious. I built this to be a stable, sensible powerhouse ITX build. All the parts were picked for performance over aesthetic appeal but I can't help but be satisfied with how it looks. It's got a certain utilitarian charm. So what do you think?
  18. Hello everyone! Current Setup: H115I w/ 2 noctua nf-a14 ippc 3000rpm fans on radiator mounted to top of case Bottom intake fans: 2 Corsair ML-140 blue Front intake: 2 Corsair SP-140 blue Rear: noctua IPPC 3000 on EVGA 1080 ftw hybrid rad So... I'm having some inner conflicts when it comes to my cooling setup on my 6800k build. I'm replacing my h115i with noctua dh-15, I'm in an air 740 case, usually I'd go for straight performance, but people have been telling me the ml-40 perform on the same level as noctuas, so I ordered 2 more of those to go on the top of my case as exhaust (currently using 2 as intake on bottom and I love the way it looks). And I was gonna put the 2 ippc 3000 fans from my old radiator on the cpu cooler, however after reading more on the DH-15 it seems like it comes with some pretty custom fans (NF-a15). So part of my question is should I use stock fans that come with noctua cooler or the ippc 3000 editions? Priority number one is performance, but I care a lot more about looks on this build then I normally would, and I think the black of IPPC fans would look a lot better, but if I'm throwing away performance, then not worth it. Also, anyone have any concrete thoughts on the ml-140? When I was handling them they seemed very high quality, but I haven't done any real testing, and all the "benchmarks" I can find on the web contradict each other, one will say the ml-140 is better than noctuas and the next says the opposite. Part of me is thinking about ditching all of the LED fans and just running a blue led strip around the window and getting noctua IPPC fans everywhere, god I love those things. But man are the LEDs sexy.... Heres a useless link to an incomplete statistical comparison https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/ycH48d,ntXfrH,znPfrH/ I'll also slap a horrible pic I just took of my PC. In the picture I have (2) SP-140s on the bottom and (1) ML-140 up front because amazon shorted me an ml-140, but once I get it in the ml-140s are going down low and sp's up front. (Looks 10x better in person lol...) TLDR: Noctua dh-15: NF-15 or NF-A14 IPPC 3000? Case fans: Stick with corsair ML-140 blue led fans or swap all to noctua and use blue LED strip to make up for it? Note: Price isn't really an issue, I want to get this PC just right. If I have any criteria other then a blend of looks/performance favoring performance, it would be that I want the fans to move as much air as possible around ~1200rpm so I don't have to deal with tons of noise unless I'm stress testing. Thanks! UPDATE: Some good discussions going on but there are some great minds on LTT so I would appreciate you guys leave your opinions on what you would choose along with explaining why if possible. Example: I would use IPPC fans on cooler because " ". Thanks again to everyone helping me make this decision! Idk why I'm having such a hard time making my mind up. My most recent logic was I'm going to use IPPC on cooler because if the CPU does happen to be pushed a bit harder they can ramp up to 2000+ rpm if necessary, but I really am not sure how they compare overall to NF-a15s, and like I've mentioned the internet is being pretty useless, so hopefully some of you have some experience between the two. UPDATE 11/1: So I've decided beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm putting NF-a14 ipc 3000 fans everywhere (they will be at my door tomorrow), 2 bottom, 2 top, 2 on cpu cooler, and one of the 120mm variants on gpu radiator, keeping ML-140s in front b/c I want those fans to be weaker anyway to not blow the updraft out the back of case. Basically I did some more googling and I guess I wasn't specific enough because I found a good bit of data comparing the fans, and the IPPCs basically outperform across the board while being water and dust resistant. They MIGHT be louder then non industrial noctuas but in my own testing and research I couldn't confirm it, and its definitely not enough of a difference to be worth the trade offs to me. I will try and update this with more resources if/when I get time. But I will definitely be updating with some pics and before and after temps. Cosmetically speaking, I talked myself into thinking that the IPPC will look just as good on the bottom as ML-140s thanks to their sexy grill... But I am still doing a blue LED strip around inside of window as well. I'll be stacking references here, but so far all I've got is this, I looked at more reviews and benches then just this one but I don't remember exactly where... http://www.relaxedtech.com/reviews/noctua/nf-a14-industrialppc/7
  19. Hi I've been recently planning to buy and build myself a PC, it's my first time. My CPU of choice is a Amd FX-9590, here's where the problem begins... I originally was planning to buy a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo to cool it, but I read some posts regarding this CPU, and it's high tdp 220w would be to high for the CPU cooler to support, therefore I went at looked even more. I then had to make a choice, either air cooled or water cooled. I didn't really like the idea of water cooled so I went air cooled. I had chosen 2 CPU coolers, the Cryorig R1 Ultimate and the Noctua NH-D115. And another problem is introduced. I looked at the images for each of the CPU coolers installed, and they seem to be quite, well... "Large". Large enough that they overhang over the RAM slots, I checked my chosen RAM sticks and they were not low profile. Now here's my question, is it possible to rotate the CPU cooler to have it face vertically not horizontally. Should I go water-cooled. Or is there another Air-cooled CPU cooler out there that would be smaller?
  20. I had a i7 4970k at 4.5ghz and 1.216 vcore, never had it close to use all power when surfing. multitasking, watching twich, facebook, cam chat (only watching) I know an i7 4790k is a very fast cpu only surpassed by server cpus and 6 core i7 cpu's I wanted to try amd, i have never had a an amd cpu, got a good offer on my cpu, found out after a lot of videos and forums, i would get alot worse gaming performance with a fx 6300 then a i5 haswell because of single core performance (have a socket 1150 mb and would be a bit expensive going for ddr4 and skylake) with a gtx 1060 6gb and my 3440x1440 100hz monitor (not playing the latest games or wanting max graphics settings, just as high as possible) I found out my favorit store that alows me to buy much later than all the other danish stores,(they will still sent it the same day and i will get it the next day), only had a couple of haswell refresh cpu's I5 4460 and i5 4690k the i5 4460 kost 1338 of my currency and the i5 4690k cost about 40% more 1965, thought i will save som money and for the money i save on the cpu i would opgrade from 8 to 16 gb ram, 3.2 ghz and turbo 3.4 is enough, i mean for gaming they are rated in tier 1 Cpu hierarchy It's not the slowest i5 haswell cpu it performs in the middel comparing i5 4430 to i5 4690k, lowest passmark score is i5 4570te 3433 and highest is i5 4690k with 7687 an i5 4460 scores 6599 (better the all of the first i7 800 cpu's) Noctua nh-d15 is running at 350 rpm and to my surprice it never goes higher, even with intelburn test maximum and prime 95 (not at the same time) temps never went close to 60 degress (celsius) a normal benchmark it's no more then around 40 degresse (100% load) Had a lot going on tv, twitch, cam chat, pc froze and i had to reboot using the reset button on my pc, thought omg i need to turn of turbo and let it run 3.4 ghz all the time Oced it to 3.4ghz instead of 3.2ghz and turbo 3.4ghz, cinebench r15 cpu score 505 and single core 133, it did get a slightly higher score at 3.4ghz aida 64 cpu queen score almost 30000 ram 34000 I guess the other i5 cpu's are only a bit faster with 3,5/3.9 ghz as the fastest speed from an i5 4690 and the k version My mb is a asus vii ranger z97 and i have 2x4gb g skill trident x 2400mhz cl 10 ram, i choose to use the money i saved on the cpu to upgrade to 2x8gb kingston savage 2400mhz cl 11 ram (i have a noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler so i didn't want to buy another pair of g skill ram an use it without the fins, since i wouldn't like to change the possition of the fans to make sure i have enough space for another pair of ram) Should i try to see if i can get a faster cpu or is it just a waste on money if i don't spent 40% more on a i5 4690k cpu and oc it to atleast 4.0 ghz? My mb has an option to oc the cpu to 3.535ghz (something like that) even when it's not a k cpu, should i try to go for that? Must admit the cam chat uses alot of cpu power and the last 1.5-2month i have have had shockwave flash crash alot (stopped working), might be because of chrome since shockwave never use to crashed, stop working with chrome
  21. RAM Sticks: Corsair Vengeance G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series Air coolers: Noctua NH-D15S Noctua-NH-D15 Computer Cases: NZXT H440 NZXT Phantom 820 Motherboard ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA1151 DDR4 What would be the best cooler and ram combination and in what case? I would really appreciate the help, some recommendations on anything from the RAM, Air Cooler would also be great.
  22. thanks to the help of LTT and teksyn forums ive made my mind up on my replacement cooler since my h100i is dying. and since i got my temps and oc undercontrol again thanks to the help of community, using air wont be a big problem. now my only concern is this, i have clearence 360 degrees around my cpu since my ram positioning and having a pci lane i do not use before my gpu setup. does having a aircooler say side on cause problems? since my MB lays flat like a test bench in my case and has cooling from all directions ... what i mean is instead of having the fans operating horizontal i want to run them vertical.. like in the images [ used MS paint as PS is not installed ]
  23. Hello! I am looking for a case, can someone recommend me one? This is what I need: ATX Size Enough Space for the Noctua NH-D15 (That's why my old case isn't working anymore - the cooler is just too big) At least one space for an SSD At least three bays for 3,5" HDDs USB 3.0 Front 2 Fans - One in Front, One in the Back Easy-To-Remove Dust Filters Good cable management paths No power supply (I already have one) I'd love to get one for under 100$ but I am willing to pay up to 150$ if the case is f*cking awesome.
