So I purchased an Original Phantom NZXT Full Tower case for my setup, I plugged everything in and the case doesn't seem to be working at all... The Fans wont turn, the power button doesn't light up.. Nothing seems to be functioning. My computer is working and everything but the only source of cooling I am currently getting right now is the stock fan for my CPU and GPU. I have attached files down bellow on what my setup looks like. IMPORTANT I am under the impression that the MOLEX 4 pin cord is supposed to plug into your motherboard for power supply to the case, I am still speculating about this (I am pretty new to building computers). So what happened was my friend gave me an adapter to the power supply that he gave me, that directly plugs into the PSU, however when I plugged it in, a nice fire ran up the cable and scorched not only the cable, but left a burn mark on the manual fan control for the case. My computer was unaffected however I think I lost capability with the manual function on my case. There are two boards and the mark is only on the one side controlling manual speed, so I think I am still able to have the ability to power the case and board but im not sure. I have asked NZXT for additional parts and they should send them over. (as soon as they respond.) I just want to know what went wrong, and why nothings working..??? Please respond. Thanks. I have really hit a wall with this and have no idea what to do.

when I first downloaded my windows 8.1 os and drivers on my new custom built computer it had around 60 gb free of 111 gb. Recently it the free space started going down. Just today it went from 55.5 free to 54.8 then 52.7 free gb of 111 gb. And I haven't downloaded anything so I don't understand why the free space keeps going down. Can someone please help? I re-routed all my files to my HDD so even if I was to download anything it should go there and not my SSD.

Hi! I was just wondering if it is possible to only record game audio and microphone audio without let's say youtube in the background? Is there a way to isolate that chrome but to still be able to hear it? I'm using Shadowplay for recording. Thanks!

So everything lights up when I turn on the system, the gpu, the fans, the cpu cooler. The only thing that doesn't have a light is the post code led's on the motherboard. I turn on the PC but the display shows nothing and stays in sleep mode. I have tried removing and switching around the ram slots, but nothing works. Help?

Hi! Basically I installed Cyanogenmod Yesterday because I was curious and TouchWiz ain't that good and used Samsung Kies 3 to backup all of my data (apps, Settings, Images and such) But now when I'm trying to recover all of it I can't, At all! Samsung Kies won't recognise the phone. What I need the most from there are my contacts and a couple apps. I used to have 800+ contacts, now I have 5. The backup is saved to my computer if that changes anything. Thanks <3

Sometimes when I start my PC there is no video output. keyboard and mice are lighing up but there is no signal to the monitor. After force restarting it several times it turnes on without collecting any information about why it failed the last time. i googled it and people said the SSD was the problem so I ran the repair tool on it and it worked for a while. Now coming home from my 2 week vacation I wasn't able to turn it on. After force restarting it the computer started restarting and shutting down itself repeatedly. After once more force shuting and restarting it my PC said that it failed to overklock witch is weird since I haven't even overklocked it. I went into the bios and set the motherboard wizard to "standard" instead of "performance" and now it seems to be working for the moment. Does anyone know where to start? Hey I have just built a new computer using the Corsair CX500 PSU. All parts are connected: -24 pin motherboard connector -4 pin CPU connector -8 pin + 6pin PCIE -HDD Connector Other colorful case cables have also been plugged in. Upon plugging the PSU in and switching it on, not only do no parts start but the PSU remains lifeless (No LED's or anything) I have also tried powering the PSU with nothing plugged in but still no luck! I noticed that a folder called winsxs is slowly growing from 532 MB to 4.1 GB. It's not a big problem but I have a very limited hard drive space (151 GB) and I can't afford to lose 4 GB. Upon searching on the internet on how to reduce the size of this folder, I saw a topic about doing that. It says that I should be running Windows 7 SP1. What I did is I right-clicked computer and went to properties, but it only showed Windows 7 Professional, no service packs. I take a look at the Windows Update and clicked View update history. It was empty. It says that I have not tried to install any updates for the computer! The computer is set to automatically update, and yet it doesn't even have one update installed! I can recall a time when I raged because Windows was installing SP1 and it took a very long time to install, so that means it has installed even one update! The computer is 5-years old. Never broke down. Came with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Professional. Any help? I have attached a screen capture of the Windows Update. You can see it says that I haven't installed any updates in the computer. EDIT #1: The second attached screen capture is the Windows Update settings, requested by Tetters.

Hey Guys!! So if you didn't hear, OnePlus is doing another pre-order session for the One... So for one hour you will be able to pre-order the phone.. You can set up your order prior to the one hour, so all you have to do is log in and pay for it! This is their second open pre-order session so the systems should be better now.. I attend the first session and bought the phone and their servers were down for an hour.. so they extend the pre-order another two hours... You can pre-order it here!!! Good luck!! http://preorder.oneplus.net/

UPDATE: Motherboard is dead and it turns out that the repair shop doesn't have a 2011-3 motherboard to test the CPU and RAM. I'll rma the CPU and the motherboard because the CPU could be dead as well. Pc specs: https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=377454&action=wish_lists So my new computer was running just fine (got it a week ago). I shut it down after an update and I came back 5 mins later to turn it back on. About a second after I pressed the on button (all the LED's flashed on and all fans working), my lunch finished cooking and I rushed down stairs not looking back. I finished lunch and went upstairs, the computer wasnt on.. I pressed the power button thinking that for whatever reason it turned itself off. But no response came from the computer and there was no error LEDs but the power and reset leds were on. I tried pressing the power button on the motherboard, but all I could hear was a faint click. So after doing some research it turns out that I should check whether the motherboard boots on with only the motherboard connecter plugged in, so I unplugged the cpu connector (left the hard drives plugged in and the graphics card plugged in, also left the cpu cooler and fans plugged in). I turned the computer on and it worked with the 00 error displayed (leds on, gpu on, but fans not working). So I guessed that maybe the cpu power wasn't plugged in correctly. So I tried making the cpu plug as secure as I could and I turned the computer on... It didnt work... nothing, no LEDs, just a faint click sound. (is a click sound normal? Seems to only happen when I turn the power supply on before pressing the power button on the motherboard, if I leave the Power supply on and press the power button again, no click sound) Can sombody help me? is the cpu burnt out? Should I RMA the motherboard and cpu? BTW I updated the BIOS using EZ update recently (about a day or 2 ago), could that have caused it?

okay so i'll try and cut this short but basically i just built a workstation pc, all new parts except my old asus p8z77 vlx mobo and my i5 3rd gen lga 1155 socket. Anyway at first I was getting worried because the pc would start up and then just cut out, and start up again, cut out. I got sick of it and left it for a day and i've come back to it and it's turned on first time, now baring in mind this is a first time set up including the OS so all that good stuff is yet to be done on it and the reason is that the motherboard is giving out no signal to my monitor, and my keyboard doesn't light up neither, i've tried a different monitor already and that wasn't the case, my friend is soon to come over and try a GPU in it to see if i can at least get a picture, I will reply to this forum once we have tried that to let you guys know. Thanks for reading and get back to me if you have any suggestions. Thanks again.

So, I recently built my first computer, and it runs beautifully. Except for one problem. Whenever I attach the side panel on the case (The one with all my beautiful wiring), the entire computer shuts off. It runs perfectly without the side panel, however the second I attach it "BOOOOM!". Everything shuts off. I really don;t know why it does this, and any help here would be appreciated. I can take photos/videos of it happening if people want to see, etc. My build is as follows: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Fst7yc Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Fst7yc/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor (Purchased For $45.00) GPU: XFX Double D FX797ATDJC Radeon HD 7970 3GB (Purchased For $105.00)Motherboard: MSI Z87M GAMING Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (Purchased For $110.00) Memory: Corsair XMS 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (Purchased For $50.00) Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For $85.00) Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 ATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For $120.00) Power Supply: Corsair Professional Gold 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $75.00) Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor (Purchased For $460.00) Case Fan: Noctua NF-P14 FLX 65.0 CFM 140mm Fan (Purchased For $10.00) Case Fan: Noctua NF-P14 FLX 65.0 CFM 140mm Fan (Purchased For $10.00) Total: $1070.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-11-06 00:08 EST-0500

I need help fast! Recently I built my PC So I try to plug it into my monitor which is this: http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?hide_menu_area=true&GroupID=460&Code=60AAHAR1US Before I plug it in it says "No Signal" and when I plugged it in, it says "Power Saving Mode" So I tried an HDMI cable on my 32 inch Samsung TV. http://hafeezcentre.pk/ads_images/1293791840_su57/hc136465288364.jpg Once I plug it in, it says "No Signal"... So I tried 2 different options and none of them work. BUT WAIT! My PC turns off after 2 - 3 minutes... However everything in the case lights up. Please help, I'll be happy to answer questions.

Hey guys, I recently built the following system: Motherboard: ASUS A88X-PLUS, latest BIOS v1701 CPU: AMD A8-6600k w/ integrated HD 8570D CPU cooler: Stock RAM: 1 x 4GB Kingston HyperX Blu 1600 MHz Storage: WD Green 1TB PSU: Corsair CX430 GPU: NO GPU Case: Bitfenix Comrade OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit I'm getting constant crashes. It doesn't matter if the system is under load or not, it just randomly drops. There's no bluescreen or any error messages, it's just a mix of hanging, sudden reboots and losing image while still maintaining spinning fans and power lights. Things I've tried: Reinstalling graphics drivers (multiple times..) Reinstalling Windows Reinstalling the whole damn system. Took it apart completely, including the CPU heatsink to rule out bad seating even though temps seem fine. Resetting CMOS Banging my head against a wall Temperatures are around 40 C in bios and the one time I ran Prime95 to test it, the test ran fine for a few minutes and the temps settled at around 62 C. After that the system crashed again. I checked for a minidump and didn't find it, atleast under C:/Windows. Please tell me if I can find one somewhere else! Windows event log shows some errors caused by AODDriver4.3 with an event code of 7000. I'ts related to the AMD drivers I have reinstalled multiple times, yeah. I'm out of ideas, guys. The best guess I have now is that the IGP is somehow faulty or I have failed to install the AMD drivers multiple times  EDIT: It WAS a driver issue! more info in post #10

I just installed a new Asus Xonar Essence STX in my system with Windows 8.1. But I do not get any sound to my headset... The headset works in other computers and in the same computer before I installed the soundcard, so there is nothing wrong with the headset. I have plugged in the internal power cord and installed the latest driver for Windows 8.1 from the Asus website. I can see the soundcard in the playback devices list and if I play a song it looks like sound is playing but no sound is actually being produced. I've changed the default device to the correct one and I've made sure that I've plugged in my headset in the correct spot. So, what the heck can be wrong? Why am I not getting any sound? I've uninstalled the realtek driver that I had installed before for my motherboards built-in soundcard and also in the uefi I've disabled the internal sound (motherboard sound...) so that the only devices to choose from (in the playback devices list) is the sound from my graphicscard and the asus soundcard, not the motherboards soundcard. Please help me! I just bought this card and it was quite the disappointment that it didn't work... Thanks!

So I only just noticed that corsair link isn't showing the fan RPM's and the LED's aren't on while using Windows 8. I'm using 1.0.5 firmware on the H100i and corsair link 2.3.4816. Nothing should have changed since the last time it was working and I've checked all the connections. The LED works on boot but dies once Windows loads up

a pair of EVGA GTX 780 graphics cards , Intel Core i7-4770K processor , Fractal Design Define R4 Blackout edition case and Newton 800W power supply , a pair of 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSDs , 4TB Western Digital Caviar Black hard drive , EVGA Z87 FTW motherboard, 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400MHz memory and Creative SoundBlaster ZX sound card. How much would this cost me? And is it good for gaming at 1080p, 1440p and maybe 4k? Also some light video editing....
