Hi, I build my first PC and there are nothing on the monitor... I got to BIOS twice and got to windows 10 install once, but after a while of running, the monitor turn dark (with the keyboard also), and stays that way while mobo, and fans still lights up. (it also turns black when I install window on ssd and now I cant use my ssd anymore.. so I took it out and use hdd only..) I read somewhere that the mobo died. The cpu was at around 50 when I got to the bios the first time. I tried reset the cmos, which got me to bios the second time. Now, everything in pc lights up and run, even the keyboard lights up, but the monitor is still off. Monitor works fine yesterday on my old laptop, I even tried to plug in a TV.... v: but nothing.. I am just lost now my system: ryzen 5 1400 gtx 1060 msi b350m gaming pro Thank you ??

I have an old PC. Motherboard - ASUS - M2N-MX SE CPU - AMD Athlon X2 64 Bit 320 GB WD Hard Disk 1 GB RAM When I tried to turn on the PC, the CPU Fan is running, LED Turned on, no Beeps, but no output to the display. I put the RAM to each slots, double checked the connections. Please help. I don't know what happened. It was working 6 months back.

Hello guys, This is my current setup : CPU : core 2 quad q9450 2.66 Ghz (stock) Mobo : Asus P5K (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5K/) GPU : Zotac GTX 960 AMP / GT 220 (no idea what is the manufacture) I found this "No display" issue during booting process when using these hardware pieces. I'm suspecting it's due to old bios version, but i cant access the bios menu due to no display issue. Any advice? Should i try to purchase older gpu just to troubleshoot this issue? note : - The cpu still run perfectly on other lga 775 board like asrock g31m-s - The gpus also run perfectly on other lga 775 board like asrock g31m-s - My PSU is Seasonic M12II-620 evo, pretty sure the PSU has enough power for this setup. -
(Backstory, skip to next brackets for troubleshooting info) Hello, i am a very new builder, and prior to my assembly of this pc i need help with, my gaming set up was a ~$500 pre built dell desktop with an i3 4150, 8gb of ddr3 ram, a 1tb hdd, dell 300w psu, and a gtx 750ti slapped in there for power. Recently, i decided to buy a case, new motherboard, and psu for upgradability of this machine. I bought an atx tower by rosewill, 500w evga psu, and an msi mini atx (i believe ?) ddr3 mobo. I watched tutorials to help me put it all together and, after a bit of confusion with accidentally misplacing the jumpers, i had success! The pc was up and running like normal after some getting warmed up. [heres where the problems start] However, this morning i opened up star wars jedi knight jedi outcast to play and after a bit left it running to go play xbox downstairs with a friend, upon returning i had a blue screen! Odd especiallyl considering how unintensive the game was. Since the "report" to ms was not loading (0%) i turned the computer off and on again to find no video on my monitors, but all fans running (3 case fans, cpu cooler, gpu, psu, all running) i did extensive researching all day today and tried EVERYTHING i could thus far (resetting cmos, changing ram, reapplying cpu in case there was some loose thermal paste, trying my old motherboard, unplugging hdd to see if it is corrupted) to absolutely no avail. Any advice? Could this be my cpu, psu, or motherboard? And how could i fix it? Thanks in advance for reading all of this and trying to help. If you need any more info ask and i can try to supply UPDATE: I put my computer back in its original shoddy dell case and tried out its 300w power supply, a yellow light came on FINALLY giving me some sort of information, the case looks like this, any ideas?

Today I upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 7 2700x and got an SSD for my build. After installing everything I tried booting up my PC and everything fired up as normal but I was granted no display on my monitor. Tried again on my second monitor with display cables and HDMI. Still no display. My MOBO is an MSI B350 Mate and I’m running 16GB of DDR4 Corsair Vengance Ram and my cooler is an H100i V2. Someone please help me on this, never had this happen before.

Hi! I just started upgrading my build. I moved from ATX to mini ITX, so I got a new mobo, cpu and gpu (Listed at bottom). When I plug it in, the mobo's standby power led is always orange and never changes. The trouble shooting leds (boot, vga, dram, cpu) never light up. There is no beeping or anything like my ATX board did when there were problems. When I turn it on all of the fans run (case, cpu, gpu) and the rgb lights are always on. I have tried with both my known working gpu and my new rtx 2070 FE but nothing is working. It doesn't show the bios starting at all so I cant use delete to get to it and there is no output or sounds to say something is wrong. Im completely stumped. Parts: cpu: AMD ryzen 5 3600 mobo: ROG strix b450-i gaming ram: 2 x 8bg G.Skill DDR4 ripjaw V series gpu: gtx 1070 / rtx 2070 psu: EVGA 650 GQ 80+ gold semi modular storage: 2 x 2tb WD blue, sandisk 580gb ssd (boot drive), samsung evo 1tb ssd

recently i build my first PC with gtx1070 ,xeon E5-2689 & Chinese x79 motherboard i have a problem with display output it dosnt show display with HDMI to vga converter with old monitor but it showing the display output on teamviewer & anydesk remotely with my another laptop & it showing monitor spec when im connected my PC with HDMI to VGA converter when PC turning on it showing BIOS logo & after few seconds it stops display output can any know the fix for my problem HDMI to VGA cable works fine with my laptop i tried resetting the BIOS but no result

So I have a oldish HP Laptop (hp 15-d001si) that is used for basic web browsing and office. I installed a SSD about a month ago, surprise surprise it sorted out the failing hard drive but the CPU was so slow everything was still lagy but that's besides the point as I doubt weather its the hard drive. Problem: One day before starting it up I noticed that it was somewhat warm even though it had not been used for a few days but it booted up fine. I used it for a bit and switched it off. The next day when I wanted to start it up it didn't work anymore. When I press the power button the lights come on for a while and then they go off. The charging light works fine and I have tried on and off charge. I can't really tel but it looks like the fans don't come on. It doesn't look like the screen switches on at all. I have not tried anything as I have no idea where to start so even just a pointer for what I can look for would be a great help. Edit 1: I tried booting it with out the battery, no change. A quick google search lead me to unplugging the charger and taking out the battery then holding down the power button for 30 seconds then there is two ways depending on where you read, ether you plug it back in and don't put in the battery in or you plug it back in and do put the battery back in then try and boot it up again, I tried both but no change.

So today I was planning to upgrade my slow HDD to an SSD, as I was looking around to where I can put my SSD for better cable management I found that my GPU was getting in the way of some cables so that I could have the SATA cable flush with the inside of my case, so I decided to reseat my GPU and fix my cables, once I plugged everything in, I was able to boot into BIOS but didn't find the SATA port for my SSD, so I exited the BIOS but as I did, my screen went blank and I thought it was the reboot and POST, I waited but it took longer to boot but I had no display afterwards. So I knew something was wrong, I checked my motherboard (MSI B250M PRO-VDH) and its EZ Debug LED had an LED on for VGA which meant that my system wasn't recognizing my GPU. I did my bit of troubleshooting i could but to no avail. I was only able to boot off my motherboard's HDMI port which did give me a signal. Can anyone help with this?

So I wanna ask this Can defective Pcie Slot on mobo causing no display and gpu fans on 100% at the same time ? when this happen my chassis power button and reset button not working , so i must turn it off from psu Basically i dont know what causing the problems.. but i think there's a big chance my mobo is defecive (because when this problems happen , i cant use power button or reset button to shut down the pc) although there is a chance my gpu is at faulty Detailed problems 1.Monitor turn no signal randomly (yes , like very very randomly) 2.When that happen , my gpu fans spinning realy fast 3.Power On/Off & reset button not working NOTE : This is not happening because overheating, when im listening to music or watching youtube , this problem happens too...and very randomly occured also this is not the PSU problems , coz this problem happens before i change my PSU , just bought the PSU recently My Comp Spec Proccie : AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GPU : MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z Mobo : ASUS B450-I Gaming Strix RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB 3000Mhz PSU : Corsair RMx 750 White Series

Hello i recently decided to build a new computer due to me moving house the specs are here: APU: Ryzen 3 3200g MOBO: Gigabyte ga-b450m-ds3h RAM: Hyper X Fury 3200mhz ddr4 (1x8Gb) PSU: Corsair CX450M When i start my computer everything turns on, all fans are spinning motherboard leds work but i get no signal on my monitor, i made sure everything was in where it is supposed to go i checked every cables the 8-pin for the APU the 24 pin mobo, cpu fan, the ram is clipped into place and tried every slot of ram. I don't have the little motherboard speaker because i am using an old case so i can't hear if there are any errors. I am using a hdmi cable for the monitor, tried dvi with another monitor still no success. Some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello i need help for my rig my problem is 1.Monitor Suddenly goes no signal and cpu + gpu fans spinning fast 2.When this happen , chassis power on/off & reset button can’t be used to shut down my computer , so i need to shut it down by shut down the PSU 3.This happens very randomly (when listening to music or just watching utube) Tried Everything i can , here is what i already tried to do 1.Checking If all the cables , gpu , ram is properly seated = Problem still occured 2.Using My Friend Motherboard + My GPU + My RAM = Problem Still Occured 3.Using My Motherboard + My Friend GPU + My RAM = Problem Still Occured Note : ~i dont use my friend PSU , because this problem already occured when i use my old PSU , And i just changed my PSU to new one im using now ~as For RAM & CPU i just use my own ram for testing. So, Can bad RAM Sticks Or Bad CPU causing Freeze no display ? If yes , i need To RMA My RAM ASAP 100% Not because of overheating , always monitoring the Temp My Spec : Proccie : AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GPU : MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z RAM : Corsair Vengeance PRO 2x8GB 3000Mhz PSU : Corsair RMx 750 White Series thanks for the help

So I decided to upgrade my gtx 745 to Rx 570. Unfortunately I don’t have 8pin connector from PSU so I decided to remove 15 pin sata from CD drive and use it with an converter. I was doing it with a friend, the converter needed a 2 15pin sata connector to power 1 8-pin GPU connector. My friend removed the sata power from the hard drive and tried to run it like that (I know he doesn’t know a thing). After that, I reconnected HDD but pc doesn’t post at all. There is a weird buzzing sound comes out of motherboard. Idk what is wrong. I have i-4770, 12gb of ddr3 ram, and plenty juice for GPU from PSU(about 500w). It makes the same noise with my gtx 745, intel onboard graphics as well. A week later... I got a new PSU from thermaltake 600 watt with 8-pin connector, hooked it up. Works perfectly with gtx 745. More on my pc specs, motherboard is IPMB7-MP. Anyway, there is no beeping noise anymore btw (yet). I installed Rx570 and it does not post anything on the screen, it is just black. I have disabled INTEL on board graphics and Nvidia drivers didn't work. in bios, I disabled PCI SERR# Generation and reboot. Then I tried enabling PCI VGA Palette Snooping, no luck again. I have reset the CMOS by removing the battery. But now there is a beeping noise coming from my motherboard and I don't know what should I do at this point. Please help. Rx570 still doesn't post. I am so frustrated from this process. I have no clue why PCIEX16 3.0 lane would not recognize rx570 and works fine with gtx 745.

I have a ryzen 1200 and brand new ryzen 2700x on a msi x370 gaming plus board. I replaced the 1200 with the 2700x and the board is now saying bad cpu and bad ram. So I swapped them back and now the board saying the same for the cpu that was working earlier.

Got a new psu cause I thought that was it And got an ssd cuz I thought that was the problem neither worked. Tried old gpu, two mother boards and new gpu no display. Also tried old ram and new ram one stick and two sticks didn’t work at all. The fans start out loud then calm down. No cycle On my mobo there is a red boot light on. I thought it was on because my hard drive died but I took that out and put in a brand new ssd and nothing happens at all still no display Both monitors work fine and cables two. Don’t see why they would work perfectly day then the next not work at all Also tried to take everything out but keyboard and mouse and didn’t work Any solutions ? Desperate at this point bought all these new parents and did everything I could think of And also all of my parts are compatible have been using this pc for a few months now and all of the sudden it just stopped displaying -
Recently there was a thunderstorm in my area and the motherboard on my home theater PC got fried I can confirm this because the computer does not react at all when I attempted to turn it on with the old motherboard but with a new motherboard the fan spin off the lights turn on and it seems to run just fine Except for the fact that no matter how hard I try I can't get a display signal to a monitor I've tried the power supply in another computer and it works fine I've tried the graphics card in another computer and it works fine although a bit buggy but probably its unrelated ( I'm pretty sure it just has to do with one of my monitors being DVI and me needing to set up the monitor configuration before using it the first time) I would very much like some help solving as to why I can't get the display signal -
Yesterday, my old r9 270x finally failed on me - it still works somewhat, however i cannot install drivers with it without it crashing and so it is basically unusableI ordered an rx 570 in replacement, and installed it today to some success: it worked just fine to start withI then began the process of uninstalling the old corrupt drivers that had been semi installed while I was trying to fix the old card, which I did using the AMD uninstaller software. It then prompted me to restart to finish the uninstall, which I did.However, after this the rx 570 does not appear to be working anymore - the monitor does not detect it and thus I get no display. I have tried removing it and reinstalling it to no avail, and I I know this is not a problem with the monitor as when I put my old card back in the PC launches and the monitor detects the input.Any advice? Is this a case of faulty hardware? (Although that doesn't really make sense to me given this only happened after uninstalling the old drivers)Thanks in advance for any help -
Hi guys, Some days ago i updated the bios on my Pc (asus b350m-a motherboard). After the update my pc would turn on but no display would appear at all. I tried changing my motherboard so i bought a new one asus prime 450-plus. I had a friend help me reinstall the board and everything worked out fine, the pc turned on just fine with display. When i came back home i wanted to insert som extra (new) ram. I first turned the Pc on without new Ram and i had a display. I turned of the power and installed my new ram and then same thing happens. I can turn on the pc, fans start turning i see som led from the graphics card, but no display on my monitor. - I tried to put only the old ram that i know works in every slot and nothing happens. - i know my monitor works since im using it right now from another pc. Does anyone know what is wrong.. this is pretty fking sad.

New to PC building. Just finished my first build and then try to plug it in and get into bios. Nothing. The fans spin up and leds come on on the components, gpu included, but nothing on the monitor. I know the monitor works because ive tested it with other outputs and it works. ryzen 5 2600x Asus Prime B350 plus 2x8gb 3000hz RAM sapphire nitro+ rx 570 4Gb Gembird 450w psu tried:clearing the bios with the battery; reseating ram and gpu. Checked all the power connections but nothing. I have the hdmi cable in the gpu not the motherboard so its not that either. Just really dont have a clue.The motherboard and the GPU are second hand however I trust the mobo seller but unsure about the gpu seller -
Hi I built my first pc yesterday and when I was finished my cpu and gpu fans would spin but nothing was showing on the display I made sure that it was plugged into the gpu and moved the RAM and tried it with one RAM but nothing. I realised that my case didn’t come with a Power LED cable I don’t think it would be necessary but idk. Im thinking of taking it apart and rebuilding it again as a YouTube video recommended. I really need this computer so if you can help!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum but have been building for some years now. I had build a pc almost a year ago now and it has been serving well as an HTPC and VR box in my living room. When I first put it together, I powered it on, the PSU "clicked," all the fans spun, and i got a bios screen. So naturally i put it all together in a Node 202, loaded windows onto it, and it worked just fine. I did notice that everytime i would boot it up, though, the PSU would "click", but it would be fine, windows loaded, games ran fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The clicking also happened when the computer would power off. Specs: ASRock A320M-ITX AM4 AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Noctua NH-L9i Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8gb) Samsung 850 Evo sata WD blue 1tb 2.5" Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Corsair SF 450 W 80+ Gold All wrapped up in a Node 202 Fast forward to today, tried to turn on the HTPC, PSU "clicked" like it always did, but nothing came on screen, then i would hear another "click", the PC turned off, then "click", and it was back on. It would do this for as long as i let it, which was like 5 mins at the most. So to hardware troubleshooting, i ripped it all down to just a single ram stick and CPU, still getting the same thing. So now thinking its the PSU, I find an old mobo and CPU from a previous build, break it out, and power it up with the Corsair PSU. Vualá! It powered on, and stayed on just fine. So then back to the HTPC board and CPU, i grab a known good PSU from another previous build, plug that one in, which is a Rosewill Capstone 550m, and of course, it "clicks," powers on, no display, "click" power off, "click" power on. So with all of this said, what the heck is going on? Do i now expect to have a bad CPU or mobo? Im certain its not the PSU's at this point. Im just so confused on why it worked for 11 months, then decided to stop today. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

I got parts for my new build on a Friday. Had it up and running Saturday and the Sunday the problem started. I had time to download drivers and some games but that is it. I'm pretty sure it just went to sleep but I don't know for sure. TV is showing "No signal on display". I have tried switching cables, monitors, changed from graphics card to motherboard. Nothing. I have disassembled and reassembled the whole thing. Calming experience but it didn't fix anything. I can't get into bios or anything. I assumed that the CPU would be an issue at first but it did manage to start up to begin with. Please help cause I do not want to drive 50 miles to return stuff to micro center. Everything on the inside turn on fans are spinning, GPU fans too, just can't get a video signal no matter what. Hey everyone, I’m a first time builder and tried to boot my PC up but no display was sent to the monitor, I tried using both HDMI and Display Port on 2 different monitors, neither worked, I then noticed a Green/Yellow ish LED on the motherboard and looked it up, apparently that means there’s an issue with the Boot, not sure if it’s related but I could really use some help on this. (P.S: All Fans and LEDs are spinning/working aswell.)

New pcie risers PC starts However I've been getting more issues. Started with the m.2 I have audio feedback Random restarts Playing ancestors my fps dropped down to 20 after a while of playing Went to use my mouse and found that it looks like 2 of my USB ports are dead. Wondering if my Mobo is dying? Wondering if the subwoofers are causing EMI hopefully not permanent damage Original post: Linus and many others inspired me to do a desk build. I take PC apart and put into desk and it doesn't work when it did before. only real hardware changes have been PCIE extensions and PSU extensions. not sure if related but my M.2 died during the process of troubleshooting this, but it was 3years old almost daily use.

2 Months ago i got some new 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance Ram 2400 Mhz, i already had 2x4gb Corsair vengeance ram which was 2133 Mhz, which gives me now a total of 16gb. My computer was running fine for 3-6 days. I could play games fine however, i was on my computer roaming the internet & my screen just went to an instant black screen. At first, i thought it may have been the DVI cable that disconnected or the PSU Cable unplugged, that wasn't the case. My setup is strange.. Components & How set up is arranged: MO: Asus Strix B250f CPU: Intel i5 6400 2.7GHz RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance Ram (2x4gb Mhz2400) (2x4gb Mhz2133) GPU: Gainward Phantom GTX 970 PSU: Corsair VS550 HDD: 2x1TB (N/A on Brands) OS: Windows 10 Arrangement & Peripherals... I have 2 monitors a BenQ GL2450 24Inch & Samsung S24D590L 24Inch. The BenQ is my main monitor for playing games, that is connected to my GPU via DVI to my monitor and the other monitor is connected to my motherboard Via HDMI. At the moment i can still use my PC with integrated graphics, so i know there is no problem with any other components. What is confusing is that my GPU fans are still spinning, but it just doesn't show up on Task managers performance tab so i can't play game I was in a live chat & the person said that it could possibly be a port problem with my GPU, My GPU has 1 DVI port, 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI Mini c. My samsung only supports 1 VGA port & 2 HDMI, the BenQ supports 1 DVI & 1 HDMI. Things that i have tried: 1. Removing everything from the Computer and leaving it for 10 minutes, then proceeding to put everything back together.(Didn't work) 2. Changing GPUs (GPU was old and could have been broken which didn't make a difference) which still didn't give me any display. If there is a possible solution on fix that will be much appreciated Thank you. If there is anything else you need to know about my setup just ask..
