My system: Motherboard - MSI AM4 B550M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX CPU - Ryzen 5700g RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb(2x16) DDR4-3200 PSU - Seasonic FOCUS GX-550 it won't boot to bios, although the monitor turns on when I turn on the pc, and the screen lights as if it's about to display something, but then it just says no signal. all fans light and spin. When I turn it on, the cpu light turns on for a few seconds then it turns off and the vga light turns on and stays on. occasionally my keyboard and mouse light up for a second and then turn off. the fans and fan lights are always on though, they don't turn off and on (unless I press the power button) things I've tried: - updated the bios - reseating the cpu - checking for bent pins (there aren't any) - trying the ram sticks one at a time - trying a ram kit from another pc that I know works - inserting a gpu from another system that I know works (1660ti) btw yeah I plugged my cables into the gpu instead of the motherboard when I did this - swapping out the cables with ones that I know work - trying every display port on the motherboard including the vga port - switching the psu port my cpu power cable is plugged into - I've gone as far as running it without the cooler for a few seconds to see if the cpu gets warm to the touch, it does. I'm at wits end here. I guess the only thing left for me to try is swapping the PSU for the one in my other system, and swapping the cpu with the ryzen 3600 from the other system to see if either of those work. But I'm exhausted and just typing this out before I pass out in hopes that someone on here will know of a solution. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions please let me know. maybe I got a faulty motherboard? Or maybe it just isn't compatible with the 5700g? although i've seen other builds using this combo. I had planned to run this thing off of the integrated graphics of the 5700g Any insight at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks update: I replaced the PSU in my other pc with the one from this build and it worked perfectly fine Update v2: I tried putting the 3600 on this motherboard, along with the 1660ti from that system and the ram from that system as well, just so I'm certain all of those parts work. So I'm running this system with cpu, gpu, ram, and psu that I know work fine, aswell as a display and hdmi cable that I know work. But it's doing the same thing. turns on, fans spin and light, debug light for cpu turns on for a bit, and then switches to vga light and stays as vga light, no display. what do I do? this motherboard is supposed to work with 3rd gen ryzen chips out of the box. Did I just get a faulty motherboard?

Now this week I have purchased a ROG RTX 3050 and now the issues have started. So at first I would loose display and the video card fans would speed up like crazy. I would have to reboot to get display once more. After some investigation I noticed the power cable was a bit loose thus I fix that issues by replunging it. Now I will still loose picture and pc looks frozen (mouse wont move before I loose picture) but the fans on the 3050 wont spin like crazy anymore. If I wait about one minute display will come back like nothing happened. 3050 are still hard to find so If I return it I will loose it until store has another one(Canada computers). Thus I'm hesitant to return it or even believe its defective. So this is the steps I took to try to pin point the issue cause: -Reinstall NVidia clean drivers -Uninstall Asus AI suite -Move the switch from performance to quite on the 3050 -Clear CMOS -Reset bios -I had a silly Lian Li 8 Pin GPU Power Strimer - Show Yourself - 30 cm [8+8 pin] so I removed it since i was convinced it would be that https://www.amazon.ca/Lian-Strimer-RGB-PSU-Cable/dp/B07H4V2ZKF/ref=asc_df_B07FCLJYVH/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292954324246&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14599527512424384792&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1002661&hvtargid=pla-560399597413&th=1 -Stopped wallpaper engine (live wallpaper app) - I also have a small 5 inch monitor to display my speeds and temps. Now unplugged And I still having the issue Only thing I could see possible if that my pc is not fully compatible with windows 11 (don't think its that) My power supply is 850w but does not like the new video card(if that is even possible) This same pc was working fine with my 1060 Please help

//SPECS// EVGA RTX3060 Orignal CPU: R5 2600 Replacement CPU: R5 5600x Aorus x570 ELITE WIFI 16gb xpg Ram 750w Corsair power supply //PROBLEM// Just today i went to best buy and bought the 5600x. I came home to replace the 2600. After replacing it I powered it on to see if it would work and it did! It powers on with all fans spinning and it seemed like everything was fine. The Odessy G7 Monitor detected that something was on and went to the screen it usually does before booting up. BUT! It stayed at the black screen. I waited 20+ minutes with the computer on thinking that bios was maybe updating and just needed some time. This was false. I did everything from cmos, to unplugging everything and plugging it back in. Still didnt work. I then put the old cpu (2600) in just to see if it would work and it did the same. Powers on, LEDs on, fans spinning, but no display. This is where is where i shit myself. I plugged back in the new cpu (5600x) and prayed for 5 minutes but to no avail. Still the same thing. Please, if anyone out there has any ideas, please help me. I have to get back to owning newbs in valorant and warzone...

So after my pc started randomly restarting ( either motherboard or psu problem , abrupt power-off and restart ) I disconnected everything and connected my laptop to the monitor. When connected display power light lights up but then gives a no signal message. I thought it was a linux issue but it does the same under windows. I connected the laptop on my tv and it outputs to it normally. The monitor works when connected to pc via hdmi. The laptop is a dell g3 3779 with a gtx 1050 on it. The monitor is an AOC Q3279WG5B Right now I'm doing a clean install of Windows. Updating all drivers by hand, bios update. DDU all display drivers and then install them manually. If by any chance anybody can make an educated guess to what can be causing the issue I would appreciate the help. When I press win key + p and select extend displays. The screen of the laptop acts like the external monitor. It gets the resolution of the external monitor and becomes monitor 2. I really don't know what to do to get over this. Might try dvi to hdmi or dp to hdmi. Edit 1: So after tinkering with it for a little while I found out some things. I plugged the monitor via hdmi to dvi cable and it works ... but up to 1080p. When connected via hdmi the monitor is recognized in the device manager and nvidia control panel but still has no display. !! When set the windows display setting to extend monitors the laptop screen "turns into" the external display. !! I don't how how to explain that but it stops being the main monitor and goes into being the secondary and when I change the resolution or scaling for the external monitor they change on the laptop screen. This behavior is really weird. I'm off to buy a different hdmi cable and see if I have any luck with that. Help would still be appreciated. Edit 2: Still facing the issue. I recently started working from home and my company sent me another dell laptop. I experience the same behavior with the work laptop as well. Hoping somebody has faced a similar issue and could help.

I have a ASRock B450m Pro4 MB that I recently bought along with a Ryzen 5 3600 and some ddr4 8gb sticks, all of this was bought used except the board, which was purchased off of Amazon, The issue I am having is that it will boot, no display then shut down after about 20 seconds, I do not have a speaker so I cannot hear beeps, but the fans will all start and the power LED is on but I'd assume the bios is having issues but I cannot confirm this, I believe the issue is one of the following: PSU, Bad Ram, Broken CPU. I'd love any and all input.

My friend sold his old AMD 570(8gb) card and got a 1070. He didn't uninstall his AMD graphics drivers before removing the GPU. His processor is 3600 so with no igpu. But after installing the 1070 there is no display in the monitor at all. But the system seems to be running as all fans in gpu and cpu are working perfectly fine without rebooting. What can be the possible causes, he is not that much tech savvy so possible experiences will help me figure out it over the phone.(he lives far) note: 1070 was mine and it was fine yesterday , I upgraded that's why I gave it to him.

Hello, first time posting here, just need some sort of help. So my problem is yesterday my computer froze and i had to restart it, after that im not getting any display signal for my monitor, i'll have the specs down. it seems that the computer is turning on but the power indicator on my gpu are showing that there is a power problem. Also to mention i had multiple problems in the past where the my screen just froze and was not responding to anything other that a restart with the power button. And more to add to it my gpu as mentioned showing the two power indicators, but the rgb part of it is not lighting up. I have tested the monitor with my laptop and its working fine. I was thinking i could be a PSU problem and was thinking to get a new one. Any help or suggestion would be appriciated. Recently I've had a fairly common problem where my PC boots but gives no signal on monitor(fans and led's all light up) . I've tried EVERYTHING. From cables, changing monitors, clearing CMOS, testing another PSU(friends) , breadboarding with/without different components, reseating every component, every cable, looked for shorts, sent my MOBO on testing and possibly RMA since it was my main suspect, it worked fine there... So after days of trying everything I contacted a friend to help me troubleshoot further since he's into PC's and was willing to help. Since the mobo is clear, our main suspect is the GPU. So we put his GPU in my PC, still no POST whatsoever, same problem. We also replaced our RAM and SSD, still no POST. After all this we put back all his components back (GPU, RAM, SSD) and he gets the exact same problem. No post, no display, no signal, everything boots fine and lights up. What to do next? Did anyone experience something similar? Could a virus do something like this even tho I don't have any idea where I could've picked it up? Is there any chance of him getting his PC back to normal, at this point I don't even care about mine. My specs: R5 2600x, Sapphire RX580 4gb, Asrock B450M Pro4-F, SeaSonic GM 650, Kingston A2000 M. 2 ssd and barracuda hdd

My pc is randomly shutting down, it doesn't matter if I am doing something or not. But the main thing there is that my cpu (the case) is still on (including my cpu fan, chassis fan and even Gpu fans). I need help from you guys to troubleshoot the problem. Edit 1 : My pc specs: CPU = AMD r3 3100 GPU = Gigabyte 1650 SUPER MOBO= Asrock B450M-HDV R4.0 PSU = Antec VP450w RAM = 16 GB CASE = Antec Vsk 10(I don't think case matters but just in case) STORAGE = 1x 120GB SSD and 1x 1TB HDD. Edit 2: The displays also gets shutdown and by shutdown I mean it show no display(pitch black) and a stand by light blinks on my monitor. Edit 3: I also encounter this same problem in BIOS also.

Hi everyone. I know my GPU is faulty because I tested it on another working PC and it had the same problem there. It went like this: One day I got no signal on my monitor with my own PC so I took my GPU out to test it with a friend's computer. I got a signal but the PC crashed while playing a game. I turned it back on and it worked fine but I didn't try any games. The next day I turn it back on and I get no signal. I opened the GPU and changed the thermal paste and I got signal again but the fans weren't spinning so it overheated when I ran a stress test. I opened the GPU again to check if I put everything right and I noticed nothing out of the ordinary so I close it and plug it back in. Got a signal and this time with fans spinning. Tested a game and it ran fine. I turned off the PC for like an hour and I get no signal once again. I took the GPU back to my own PC and steps 2 to 9 happened again and I got no signal anymore. I know my GPU is faulty because I tested it with another PC and it didn't work so I'm looking for a way to repair it by myself or if you have a guess of what could it be. My build: CPU- Ryzen 5 3500 GPU- XFX RX 580 8 GB RAM- 16 GB DDR4 3000 MHZ dual-channel Mobo- b450m. 500 W PSU

I did a new build with a ryzen 5800x and a rx 6900 xt Red Devil from PowerColor. When I have the two paired together, my system refuses to show anything on the display even though everything is powered on. Ive tried reseating the gpu, reseated the cpu, checked psu cables, tried booting with no ram & then 1 ram stick at a time & even have an updated bios. To test the system further, I took my old 980ti, paired it with the 5800x & it worked just fine like you would expect a new pc to work. I even took the 6900 xt and put it on my old pc with my i7 4790k and it worked fine in that pc, so neither the gpu or cpu are busted, but they do not want to work together at all. Everytime I try to use them together, I get the constant white led vga debug light. Tried different connections as well, such as hdmi and display port, and even on different monitors. Nothing seems to work for those two together. Any advice and maybe something I havent tried would help, thanks. Full system specs are as follows: Ryzen 5800x PowerColor Red Devil 6900 xt Asus ROG Strix x570-E gaming Crucial Ballistix 32gb (4x8) cl16 3600mhz Cooler Master ML240 Mirror AIO 1050w psu gold Edited to add* Samsung 970 2tb m.2 Samsung 860 1tb 2.5" ssd

Yesterday I tried swapping my parts into a new mobo, which I eventually decided not to use, but put all my parts back together how they originally were. After connecting everything I’m not able to get a display. The only thing I can think of is that when taking out my GPU from the other mobo I had to pull it out since the latch on the mobo was broken for the PCI lane. Since putting my GPU back in with my original mobo the fans spin for about 15 seconds and then stop (not sure if that’s how they always were and don’t know if they’re set up to control their RPM by themselves, etc.) However today after trying some of the fixes people on reddit told me to try nothing helped. Today I tried putting in my old EVGA gtx 550ti to see if the card was shocked from static electricity or maybe the PCI was damaged. However, I got no display (which is sorta a good thing). So my question is, is my mobo more than likely dead. Still gets power to fans, cpu, and hard drives but giving no display to GPU. If it is, am I safe to buy a new mobo and everything working. Or do you guys have any suggestions as to why everything else is receiving power but my GPU’s won’t give a display? Parts: MOBO - GIGABYTE 78LMTS2 GPU - gtx 950 CPU - amd fx 6300 16gb of ddr3 (forget the brand) PSU - EVGA 450W

Hello All, I'm running into a common trend with a lot of older boards when trying to utilize a newer GPU, in this case the RX 470. I'm currently experimenting to see if semi-modern GPUs can be used on older cheaper boards that I have laying around to do some cryptocurrency mining. I'm experimenting with 3 boards in total; however, each board has its own unique set of symptoms with the card. The basic requirement of all the boards was to have 3 PCIe slots. Here is how I will organize the post for each motherboard: The board in use and its configuration The problems associated with the board My thoughts on the matter and my approach To preface I have tried all of the following troubleshooting measures on all boards: Reseated all components and connectors (CPU, RAM, GPUs, PSU Connections) Reset the BIOS utilizing the CMOS jumper Updated the BIOS Utilized 1 GPU Alone Utilized a second PSU to power the external cards 2 and 3 Externally tested the GPUs on a more modern motherboard to make sure they were all working, all cards passed Externally tested other components to make sure they're all working Configuration 1: Components: MB: DG45ID, Chipset: G45 Express Processor: Celeron 450 RAM: 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display no matter which GPU I utilize in the x16 slot. It powers on for a couple seconds, turns off, and then turns back on permanently. I've also removed the PCIe x1 to x16 riser connections to no benefit. The motherboard is able to POST as when I remove the RAM, I get 3 beeps as expected. It recently had a unexpected BIOS corruption and I had to take it for repair. Following this it worked for about a day and then ran into the issue outlined above. Additionally, this board was working fine with other configurations, including a Gigabyte RX 470 before. My Thoughts: My theories have considered that somehow the BIOS doesn't recognize the card in the slot; however, this doesn't make much sense to me as online PCIe is lauded as being backwards compatible and that as long as the slot was a x16 any card should work in any motherboard with any PCIe slot generation. Also the cards worked previously. Additionally, I learned more about how PCIe lanes were managed in the old days only by the chipset present on the motherboard. Perhaps the board is running out of PCIe lanes. I could fix this by changing their config; however, I can't access the BIOS to run the x16 slot as x8 instead since there is no output. I know the chipset supports 16 PCIe lanes, so the card with no other add ins should work; however it doesn't Configuration 2: Components: MB: DQ45CB, Chipset: 82Q45 Processor: Celeron 450 RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display no matter which GPU I utilize in the x16 slot. It powers on for a couple seconds, turns off, and then a blinking red LED on the board flashes twice until I turn off the power. I've also removed the PCIe x1 to x16 riser connections to no benefit. The motherboard is able to POST as when I remove the RAM, I get 3 beeps as expected. I have no knowledge if the board was working before. My Thoughts: Again my thoughts run to BIOS compatibility and possibly PCIe lane use. Though I'm still confused as to why a single card doesn't put out a signal at all. Configuration 3: Components: MB: M71E Lenovo 03T6014, Chipset: H61 Express Processor: Pentium Core G840 RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display unless I utilize the XFX RX 470 4 GB card in the x16 slot alone. The motherboard POSTs and boots into linux fine utilizing that card alone. Utilizing any of the Gigabyte cards results in no POST and no display whether in the x16 slot or connected via x1 to x16 riser. Additionally, plugging the cards into the PCIe risers causes while running the XFX card yields the no post and no display from the card. My Thoughts: I think that the problem may lie with the PCIe lanes in this instance and possibly with motherboard compatibility. I've seen some horror stories about these proprietary motherboards and utilizing non standard add in parts. I just wanted to try this one so it didn't end up in the trash so fast. That being said, the pentium processor has no dedicated PCIe lanes from what I can tell and the H61 express chipset only has a grand total of 6. So perhaps that's causing an issue. All that being said, feel free to focus on one or all of the issues. With all of the issues being so similar, I figured I'd just make one big post and see if the solutions provided for one would help solve the others problems. Any thought or unusual suggestion may help. There are probably some things I don't understand about older hardware going on so hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. Honestly after days of trying to figure this out, I'm at a total loss. Thank you community!

Hey guys, I am having an issue with my PC that I just upgraded from a pre-built. Specs: Case: Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL CPU: Intel I7 11700F GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX DUAL 3070 8GB OC MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B-560G GAMING WIFI AIO: Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler Fans: Corsair LL Series CO-9050072-WW LL120 RGB RAM: Standard 16gb The issue with the pre-built was that it only had 1 exhaust fan and the cpu air cooler was just too loud and not good enough. The case was also very lackluster. All of those things combined led me to upgrade it. The issue I have on hand is that my PC turns on but when I connect an HDMI wire to my monitor I see "No Signal" and I am kind of stumped. I tried removing the GPU and re-inserting it but no luck, I can hear the click of the slot, I go to screw it in and plug everything up just to see "No Signal" once again. There is a constant white LED on my MOBO, when I looked it up apparently it means there is an issue with the GPU connection, but that's not specific at all. I also forgot to mention, everything worked perfectly fine when I was using the pre-built before I upgraded the case and added the AIO and the fans. I don't know what the issue and it's very frustrating as this was my first time opening up my pre-built, I hope someone here can help. If you need anymore information to better assist me I will gladly provide it. Thanks for the help!!

I found a old PC (2000) and I remove the parts and cleaned it and reassemble it. After I assemble it I powered it on (using motherboard because the case power button didn't work) the PC powered on but the monitor doesn't got any signal (the monitor indicator LED turned Orange) I checked plunging into a another monitor using a new cable, but the result was same. Is it a problem with the VGA?? The CPU and the RAM is getting hot when I turn on the motherboard and the HDD and floppy disk, DVD drive is emitting Green light. The VGA is GW905A (Can somebody tell me what is the model of the VGA and also the slot) Specs of the PC AMD K6-2 CPU 32mb RAM 20GB HDD With Network card, sound card, floppy disk, DVD drive With old (working) monitor, keyboard and mouse (keyboard is using PS/2 port) And for what price I can sell this PC (after I solve the problem)??
