I have a pre built computer with an RTX 3080. Not mater what display or cable I use, it won’t display an image. Weirdly enough if I plug the cable into the motherboard, the integrated graphics will work fine. This issue goes for both BIOS and Windows 11. The 3080 is not detected by Windows in device manager. Tried reinstalling drivers with DDU. I tried a different GPU that only needed PCIE power, and that worked fine. I tried an older 1080Ti. That worked fine for a little while, but then the fans spun loudly and the screen went black. I plugged into the motherboard again after that happened, and it displayed through the integrated graphics. But seemed to be acting as a second display because none of the desktop icons were there. It can’t be Windows because this problem occurs with the BIOS as well. Could it be the PSU power cables or PSU itself?

I was trying to turn my desktop on today but I was not getting any display. I reseated every component and cleaned them too. I noticed the white vga debug light on motherboard. I thought something wrong with my GPU but when I turn on my pc the GPU works too( fans are moving too). Tried taking off the CMOS too but still did not work. I need help urgently as I work through my desktop all day.

So I was cleaning my pc (what I do every 6 months) and after cleaning my fans and everything I went and plugged it back in and it won’t get any display, so I wanted to turn it off by power button and when I hold it in it blinks and it’s running at max fan speed. (It’s not the cable and I didn’t plug it in the motherboard)

Hi everyone. This is my first post so please correct me if I’ve done anything wrong. I recently bought a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC (Rev 2.0) as an upgrade to my current 1660ti. I bought it as used but was used only for gaming from what I was told. I took out my old graphics card and put in the new, and I’m using just one Pcie cable which is split for 2 8 pins cables. The PC turns on alongside the keyboard, mouse but there is No Display from either of my monitors (HDMI and DP ports being used). When the PC was on with the RTX inside, my motherboards VGA light was Red, which means that there is possibly something wrong with the output. From what I understand from PC part picker,my specs are suitable for the RTX Have i done something wrong? Or am I missing something? Do you guys think I’ve been given a dud RTX? I was able to reinstall my 1660ti and use my computer still. I would appreciate any and all help, I really want to play with the RTX, thank you all. So lately i was having a problem, my pc woudnt turn on and the monitor showed "no display" and the mouse and keyboard light stayed off. The rest of the pc was normal (fans and LED working normally) I would need to keep turning it 2-3 times before working However recently i realized that everytime this problem happens, when the pc starts the gpu fans run for 3 sec and then turns off imemdiatly and the pc seems to fail more and more lately. If it boots up, my PC is completly normal when i use it idle or for minor tasks and can use it all day (once it even kept running idle for 72h), however, under load while gaming, sometimes after 3h and sometimes after 20min or so (i swear it seems random), my screen kinda crashes suddenly to a black screen and the screen goes "no display" again With no sound coming from speakers. When i force shutdown my PC its back to problem n°1 (I don't think it's a temp problem or anything because i noticed the problem happen while my gpu is just at 60-65 °C and CPU was at 40 °C) Idk if its the PSU or the GPU dying or maybe a dust problem ? Hi all, I noticed some artifacting and crashing applications earlier today and decided to take apart and clean most of my PC, figuring it was dust causing connection issues for my components. I put everything back together and am now getting hung up on the CPU debug light and my PC now cannot even boot to BIOS. I have tried: Removing all but 1 stick of ram Clearing CMOS, and subsequently replacing the battery Reseating all components and repasting CPU thermal paste Flashing BIOS via USB drive to both the current version it was on and the most updated version I am about out of ideas and would super appreciate any input! The only thing I can think of at this point would be going to the store and buying another GPU to test if that's the problem. Because of the artifacting, it's seeming to me like that's the most likely culprit. I would warranty the GPU, but because I bought it during the crypto mining peak, it came from China. MSI China won't recognize the warranty because it was used outside of their region and MSI USA won't recognize the warranty because it's "not from their region". I have an on old computer I have been using as a home server for Minecraft. This is the computer: https://www.newegg.com/gateway-dx4380-ur308/p/N82E16883113230 the only changes to the handwear is back in September I added another 16 gb of ddr3 ram and cleaned the cpu and cooler then applied new thermal paste and put the cooler back on. I moved the Server into another room and wired it up to the ethernet last month and it had been on since then. The other day I tried to remote into the server and saw it wasn't able to connect, and I couldn't connect to the Minecraft server either. I plugged a monitor in and and a mouse and could not get a display to show up. I then held the power button for about 10 seconds untill it powered down fully. Since then it hasn't been able to turn back on. Sepcs: A8-Series APU A8-5500 (3.20GHz) 8GB DDR3 + 16 GB DDR3 1TB HDD Windows 8 64-bit AMD Radeon HD 7560D

I have just built my new gaming pc and after checking all my cables were all in place and connected I had plugged it in and powered on, I was met with no display( I did plug my hdmi cable into my gpu) but I had seen LEDS on my mobo light up, it ran through orange first then red and then stuck on white followed by a green light after a couple seconds. I have tried reseating the gpu, I tried a different gpu and had the same result. I am also no using the plug that came with my psu because it was a 2 prong plug and I need a 3 prong plug so I used a plug that came with a different psu. Another thing to add is that approximately 2-3 seconds after booting I hear a click from my psu, idk if this is normal or it’s my psu that has a problem. Here are my specs Mobo: asus rog strix b550-f gaming cpu: r7 5800x gpu: rtx 2070 super gigabyte windforce ram: 16gb ddr4 3200mhz Corsair vengeance case: nzxt h5 flow cpu cooler: hyper 212 halo black psu: Corsair rm750x update: I was able to post by reseating the cpu and using a different gpu but can’t get into bios with my gpu

Hi! First time poster here! I've got a really strange issue with my new Dell S3422DWG monitor. It arrived 2 days ago and i excitedly plugged it in for the first time. Initially it worked just fine however after 30 minutes the screen went completely dark. I tried all the usual stuff (power cycling, leaving it unplugged for a couple hours, updating drivers, trying both HDMI and displayport etc). None of this seems to work. However, after i went to work yesterday and came home the monitor seemed to work again.......untill it fell asleep and again just doesn't display. The backlight turns on and Windows recognizes the monitor, but no dice. My best guess is that this has something to do with Dells Deep Sleep feature, as I've seen other people saying this has caused them issues. I am able to return it but since this to me seems like a firmware issue it feels like such a hassle. Does anyone have any recommendations or have experienced this before? Many thanks!

Specs: Ryzen 5 3500 6cores 12 threads Gigabyte b450m s2h (the 1 one) 16 gb ddr4 (picked from random servers but they worked for 2 years) Rx 570 8gb Gigabyte Corsshair 550w psu 500gb Kingston ssd 1 tb HD Win11 Problem: So basically I had issue with drivers clashing with win so I rolled them back and the were working properly. So I was playing cityskylines 2 played it for 45 min then gpu decided to shut off and never turn on again ( it's only been a day ) the temp was 60 on cpu and 75 on gpu. So I left it over night to magically fix itself but it didn't.... I don't have spare parts as I am poor and so the only thing was to remove parts and check . I removed both ram sticks one by one to see if one has problem nothing working .then I removed gpu and plugged hdmi in motherboard still no out put. Ssd is working as I can see red light on the front panel . Psu isn't issue (I think) cause all the fans and peripherals are turning on even the cpu fan so there's no issue with power supply to motherboard. If there's anything I can try out pls give me some tips and suggestions. (Don't tell me to buy new parts ..that's but obvious ) Thanks

First of all I'm sorry this is long. But i don't know what to do anymore ran here made an account I'm sorry if break any rules since i don't know any rules. on November 9th i play on my PC just fine when suddenly Monitor turnoff to no display but all the computer components including the VGA as if the monitor just stop receiving output from VGA but the i can see the VGA still running light turn on and dan spinning. - don't know what to do and dumbfounded i force restart the PC when i noticed White LED VGA indicator on mobo is turn on - my first solution is maybe I'm don't use good cable for my 3x8pin psu cable(i use two8pin from my RM850 + one a spare from my old CX650). I bring new(i use two 8pin from RM850 + one 8pin from AX1000 i borrow from a friend) one all of em is 18AWG(CMIW). - as soon as I turn to computer with the new psu cable is when great. No white led VGA turn on but it stop at yellow LED boot indicator. - force restart again. Now it's boot just fine but back to VGA white led turn on. - fast forward to November 10th. i think Power is fine not the problem. So maybe because bad contact with the pcie slot because the VGA is to big/heavy since it's 3080(yes i don't use gpu support) So i try to lift manually the VGA while trying to turn on the PC. And it's BOOT! straight to windows - BUT its blue screen saying windows error 0xc0000001 and 0xc0000225. - now i though the VGA problem is fix but new windows problem. Next is i try to reinstall new windows from my bootable flashdisk by going to the BIOS. I when through the installation prosses when suddenly no display again! - computer still on but no display back to the first problem - i try to force restart but it won't boot. Back to white VGA led on mobo meaning they recognize something wrong with the VGA or maybe they recognize no VGA at all - next What I do is buy 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to clean the pcie pin on the VGA. I did that and try to plug it in again. To fail again. Still white led and no boot to window - next i try to try the second pcie slot on my mobo which is fortunately still the same pcie x16. But i have problem. My motherboard is matx that's make me can't put the 3080 to the second pcie slot because the VGA has no room since there a lot of cable there like case front panel, audio, and sata, etc. So i buy extended pcie cable so that i can put my 3080 to the second pcie slot with the extended cable. But to no avail. It won't boot, still led white VGA indicator - while all this happeneling the VGA RGB and fan is still spinning tho the fan sometimes spin sometime only spin for a while but at least i know power when through just fine to the VGA. the 3080 is not dead real dead since it's still manage to show display to bios and windows installation (even tho back to no display) PC Spec is -ryzen 9 5900X -asus TUF B550m Plus Gaming -EVGA 3080 ftw3 ultra -Corair RM850 PSU I'm tired please help this all my non techy brain can do for now i think

I'm building a PC for a relative and I'm not getting a display this is the second mobo that I've used. I'm using a 12600k which has onboard graphics but I can't get a picture from the GPU or the onboard. When I install the the graphics card the 2070 into my own PC it works fine so I don't think that's the problem. And I tried using different ram slots and trying different ram with the same results. What could be the issue? Appreciate any help

So, 3 months ago I've bought a new PC. But the PSU they sent was incompatible so I had to use an old one that I had. So far so good, until I started noticing shocks whenever I touched the chassis. Then one day I turned on the PC and there was no display. No mouse, keyboard and monitor signal. I've switched the power cable and it fixed this for a week, but the same symptoms appeared again, so I sent the PC to a technician. He tested it, and it worked, so he told me the problem was my house's wiring. I live on a rent and the wiring here sucks, and has no earth wires. He told me to either move out or to get a UPS. So I bought one and everything worked for 3 weeks, until this week the same problem appeared again. I've switched the power cables again, and it worked again for 4 days, but today it happened again, and switching cables is not working. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Maybe it is the PSU? Would it cause the computer chassis to shock and the PC to power on but giving no display? What could explain the fact that sometimes the PC works fine and all of a sudden he stops displaying (detail: this only happens when I turn off the PC at night and then try to turn it on the next day)? I've already spent too much money buying the UPS. Thanks for reading.

So the issue basically is, when I press the computer's power button, it generally starts up. However, I notice a quick blink of a white light and the fan spins really fast for a short time on the GPU. Then, I hear the Windows starting sound, but the screen stays black and the monitor doesn't seem to get any signal from the GPU. But I think the computer is still working fine in the background. Now if I press and hold the power button for more than 5 seconds to force restart the computer, then everything will boot normally. (The fan doesn't spin too fast, the white light doesn't blink, and the screen shows up as expected) The PC will run for hours without any issues. When it happens? If I normally restart the computer or if i shutdown and turn in back on within short period of time, the issue doesn't show up. It only happens if I try to start the computer the next day after shutting it down and unplugging it. This has been happening at least for some months now. Troubleshoot I've tried: turned off fast startup and hibernation from windows power settings. reset MSI Afterburner profile and disabled windows startup option. stress tested the GPU to see if something is unusual but nothing seems extraordinary. Computer Specifications: Software OS: Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621.2134 AMD Adrenalin Software: 23.5.2 Radeon RX 580 Driver Version: 31.0.14057.5006 Hardware Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Graphics Card: Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz Storage 1: Gigabyte UD Pro 240GB SSD Storage 2: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard drive Power Supply: Antec VP500P Plus 500watt Display: ViewSonic VA2215-H The whole setup has been around 2 years old at this point but it wasn't used as a regular though (on average 5 days a month). Let me know if you need some more info to help me troubleshoot and get rid of this issue.

So i basically sold off my gpu earlier and this is what i did. First Ran A Heaven Benchmark. After that i Booted Into Advanced Startup > Troubleshoot > Startup Settings > Then Chose Safe Mode. Used DDU to delete the drivers and shut down. After i did those i then turned off my power supply switch, unplugged the power cord connected to the psu, disconnected from the cord too from the UPS. And Then i did a discharge by pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds and after that i unscrewed my gpu then took it out. Did i do all the steps right? Im asking you guys because my monitor is broken currently and i dont have spare monitors to use to check if everythings right. I can boot my pc but no display. My cmos will be unharmed right? Oh i forgot to add abit of context but the monitor broke AFTER i took out the gpu because i plugged on another pc to test if the gpu was good or not and used the exact monitor i did for testing heaven, and the steps above. Also i tried booting on my pc from motherboard hdmi (*borrowed a spare monitor to test*) And because i dont have a gpu anymore so it means im using integrated graphics and it has no display but it boots on and it turns off normally. so i tried resetting/jumping the cmos for 10 - 20 secs it also didnt work, still no display. I dont have any gpu installed anymore while doing this So do i just wait for the next gpu and plug it in after and it would show a display and would just boot normally? aside from the no uninstallation of the drivers. But i dont think it really resetted the cmos im just assuming? But aside from all that i said above. Is my pc gonna function well after i get my gpu and it gets plugged in? PC clearly recieved power and the only thing is that it has no display but the pc and all parts are working, boots on and i just need to click the power button to shut it off no need for a force shut down. Im just alittle concerned and worried about jumping/reset cmos part abit Because maybe it really resetted my cmos/bios? Or it didnt? Maybe it would complicate things once i have my gpu?

Hi everyone, first time posting here, actually made an account here because I am so desperate at this point. Recently I built my dream PC after graduating college and I had it for all of two days before my custom water loop leaked all over the motherboard and GPU (totally my fault, even though I did try to stress test it for over a day for leaks). So I tried to clean everything the best I could with IPA, and fortunately everything seems to power up fine, except I get no display out of the GPU and the white light on the motherboard is on (meaning issue with VGA). I took the card to Microcenter and they told me that they can’t get it to display anything either, I really don’t want to send it in for RMA, does anyone have any idea what could possibly be the issue? Or how I could fix it? The RGB powers up fine, the lights on the PCB turn on, and the fans run fine as well. Any help is super duper appreciated. Thank you for looking.

Ryzen 5700x Radeon 6700xt ROG Strix X570-i 32gb ram Meshilicious case I am at my wit's end! I don't know what to do and I feel like I've tried almost everything. Please scrutinize over my attempts to fix this computer! What's the problem? After I recently upgraded my CPU from a 2700x to a 5700x, my computer has failed to display properly. I had to update my BIOS for the 5700x to work (haven't updated my BIOS in 3 years). Often times the mobo will cycle through the lights and land on the white light. Both of my displays won't show anything. Important Details I have tried reseating the CPU and even plugged in my old CPU. With the 2700x inside, everything worked perfectly. So far, I eventually get my computer to display by force shutting down and restarting. Sometimes it takes several force restarts to get it working. What I've Tried Reseating CPU Reconnecting Riser Cable Resetting CMOS Battery Updating BIOS Updating AMD Drivers Getting a New DP Cable What are some other things I should try?
