So I bought a pre-built pc around 2015. It was a Lenovo idea-pad tower Y series. I upgrades the GTX 970 to a 1070. That was pretty good running for those 5 years. Spent 1100$ on the tower and 450 at the time for the new graphics card. I got a job that pays better this year so I saved up some money to buy a a top line PC. Spent almost 2800$ on everything except my existing keyboard and mouse. Now I've been using the mother boards " GAME BOOSTER" to try to overclock it, but I would to hear other peoples ideas of what I should test out of do to use this beast for whats it worth. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/unceasingbridge/builds/#view=yBfH99 OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. I just finished building my new pc. But now that im booting it up and trying to install windows i discovered that both of my ssd's aren't showing up in the bios. I've tried switching the cables different SATA ports on the motherboard bot nothing has worked. The only thing i could think of is that both cables are broken, but that would be so unlikely right? Anyway, please let me know what you think on how i can resolve this issue

Hey guys I have a big issue, that I don't think I can solve by myself. I just built a PC for my GF and now I want to get it up and running. The PC: i5 6400 MSI Z170A MPower Gaming Titanium 8GB Patriot Viper 180GB Corsair GS as system SSD Original Win10 Pro 64b installed from DVD (so no updates on the installed medium) Wired LAN connection from UPC modem (just tested it on my laptop, which connects fine) The issue is as follows: 1) Clean Windows 10 install on the formated Corsair GS 2) Windows were unable to import drivers from the network 3) There aren't any Network Adapters in Device Manager (the whole table is missing) 4) I'm unable to install Intel's Network drivers due to error "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer" Truth be told, I've seen many things and I'm no computer newbie, but this is something new. The board and its connection worked fine a week ago, when it was still in my personal PC and now I have this issue. Can anybody help me? Thanks, Bleach.

Hello guys, I am planning to build a brand new gaming PC with a budget of around $2000-2500. I have a small list of preliminary parts but I am stuck on what to choose for the motherboard. List so far: cpu: amd 3700x cpu cooler: noctua NH d15 graphics : Msi 2080 super ram: corsair vengeance lpx 32 GB(4X 8 gb sticks) power supply: Corsair RMX 750 Watts Case: corsair 750 D I did a little research and found motherboard as Msi tomahawk B450 Max I realize there is a newer chipset X570 but I am not sure if its worth because of the price to performance ratio. Please give some advice on whether I should get a x570 or stick with tomahawk max (if there are other B450 boards that are better, please link) I was looking at x570 asrock taichi. it had mixed reviews online and I never used asrock boards.

Hello guys, Im looking for new PC and my budget is $850. For the CPU, I would choose Intel, for the GPU it doesn't really matter. At the moment, I have keyboard monitor mouse etc. but ill need a windows copy for it so that should be about -$100. For the storage, im looking at 128 GB SSD and 1-2 TB HDD. I will be glad for any help at this. Thanks in advanced

The current computer I am using right now i have had for over 4 year now i think.(specs: cpu: fx 6300 gpu: gtx750 ti Ram:8gb) It was good for it's time when i played low fps intensive games, but now i'm starting to get into for fps intensive games like overwatch, battlegrounds, and rust. The budget for the build is 1300 i would prefer to spend around 1150 to 1200. I don't need any Peripherals and i also live in the United States. My setup has a rgb theme but everything doesn't need to be rgb. Last thing that i think is important to mention is that i'm not going to be streaming but i might do some light recording nothing big. pcpartpicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pmNbf8 Cpu: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T2 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus PRIME B250M-K Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive & Western Digital Blue 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card Case: Corsair Crystal 460X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 700W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Windows 10 Please leave your suggestions thank u!!!

i have had a lot troubble with this pc earlier and suddenly the original mobo died. I was unable to get it up and running for a few months. I got some new parts (a new mobo, OS and SSD) i put it togeather and everything went smoothly. At first glance my computer booted wonderfully the very first time. But when i turned it on after a dinner break (windows was just installed, no drivers or anything like that was there) it at first looked totaly normal until it just showed the loading screen for seemingly an eternity (at close to 5fps), so i rebooted it, and started up the windows repair tool, it just told me an error message on everythig i tried. so i got mad and tried to restart it at least 30 times the same thing happened. until the loading screen was replaced by a quick flash of the windows logo and then just a black screen. the only thing that worked was my mouse. aaand it is back to the infinite loading screen again. my anger issues are not too found of this! thanks for helping! spesifications: windows 10 64bit intel core i7 6700k at stock speeds msi z270 sli plus (yes i know it's a stupid combo but my retailer only had this mobo available as a replacement for one that broke) Asus strix GTX 970 OC in two way SLI 32GB HyperX DDR4 ram 240GB intel SSD 540s series 2TB Seagate SSHD (this drive was in an earlier build) 750w coolermaster something PSU

I'm going to be building a new pc. I've been buying components gradually over the past few weeks because I'm poor and can't buy everything all at once. The main uses for this computer will be gaming, recording and editing. I used to do video editing on a 400 dell laptop so anything is an upgrade. So far I have a corsair 100r case (windowed), msi b250 pc mate motherboard, corsair vengeance 8gb (2x4) ram, and an i5 6500 cpu. I'd like to not spend more than 70 on a hard drive. Should I get a wd black 1tb, or blue 2tb? What's the best power supply type/brand? I want a gforce gxt 1060, should I get the 3gb or the 6gb? And other advice is appreciated! Soundcards, capture cards, ect? Thanks all, Cleedus777

Hello guys. Recently I've built a new desktop PC. I did everything as it should be done, triple checked everything and system was functioning correctly. This is my PC: Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 with stock cooler (Wraith Spire) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz 2x4GB DDR4 GPU: Gigabyte Windforce X2 GTX 1050 TI OC Edition PSU: EVGA 500W 80%+ Silver Drive: Samsung 750EVO 500GB OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 When I first used that PC, my new graphics card was on it's way, so I had to use the old one. Old graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 6670 1gb GDDR5, the new one is GTX 1050 TI Gigabyte OC Windforce x2 as stated above. So I installed ATI drivers for the old card, and when the new one arrived(Nvidia) I was hyped and didnt uninstall ATI drivers, but immediately replaced old with the new one. Later on i deleted ati drivers but they couldn't be deleted properly, so i had to delete them manually. I installed NVidia drivers afterwards and it all works fine. I updated bios, installed all the drivers(chipset, audio, lan etc...).. Tried to overclock my cpu but due to stock cooler i was advised to let it be on stock 3.0GHz with auto voltage, everything by default. I just set the RAM to 2933MHz with D.O.C.P in BIOS, that's all. So nothing is overclocked, there's plenty of power for those components. ====>>> While gaming I haven't noticed any stutter, but while I'm programming, watching videos, copying/pasting files, browsing through my PC I experience random system hiccups. And I couldn't notice if it's entire system hiccup or just my mouse cursor having micro stutters. I'm using A4Tech Bloody R7A wireless mouse. Can anyone help me out with this one? I'd really appreciate it. Looking forward to your replies, and thank you all for your time and effort. Best Regards, Alex

Any compatibility issues with my first PC build?
Finn Lumz posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I was wondering if my PC works all correctly. Would I need to buy any other power connector cables or SATA cables. I building this PC for a school project, so I need this to work. This is my first time building a PC and was worried that this wouldn't work. If I could get any suggestions for part improvements or changes that would be helpful. I don't have a set budget, but I would like it to be within $2000. Thanks... Hey Guys, in the past few weeks I had some issues with my PC maybe you could help me find the problem here. First the Specs: i7 3770 @ 3.54GHz Asus z77 Extreme4 8GB DDR3 @ 804.7MHz 9-9-9-24 2T EVGA GTX 780 ACX Corsair Force 3 SSD (System) TS128GSSD320 (Games) Hitachi 0S03363 4TB (Stuff) Win 10 So the problems comes with gaming. On new titels I have good framerates on medium-high graphics like in wither 3, but it starts to have freezes for about a second and after it running normally. I cant figure out why. Changing the clockspeed on CPU und RAM to normal dosnt change anything. Maybe my setup ist getting old. I would by new stuff but I am not sure if it is really worth it. My walled can be stretched to 1200€/1300 U.S. dollars for buying new parts. So the question is, can I tweak my old setup that it runs new games smoothly (not on Ultra, just 60FPS), or do I have to spend money on new parts? Thanks for the help (and sorry for my bad english) Max

Hi, i am looking for any suggestions on what i should change/add in my build so far. So far i have bought my case, power supply, and motherboard. I do have wiggle room for my budget. CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 i am not sure whether i should get this or the 1600X because i want the fan with the 1600 but my friend told me id need to spend extra on an aftermarket fan anyway and should go with the 1600X. CPU Cooler:Corsair H60 54.0 CFM CPU liquid cooler Motherboard: Asus prime X370-A Memory:Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB im going to be honest i dont really know too much about ram and can use some help Storage: 240GB SanDisk SSDplus and 1TB wd blue HDD Video Card: any gtx 1060 3gb after prices return to normal Is it worth it to go to the 6gb version? Case:Corsair Spec-alpha black Atx mid tower I want a decent sized gaming monitor for less than 300 and decent peripherals. Build list :https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Z6y9m8
