  1. Budget (including currency): $5000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: presentation software for multiple large screens Other details I'm building a PC for my church. I've been out of the building game for a while so I need some help on picking out the parts. I need to run 2 large screens @4K 60hz (or faster), a 4K monitor, and a 1080P screen. We need something that's going to last for years and be very reliable. We allowed a fairly generous budget for future proofing. Don't really care about RGB or fancy stuff. Preferrably air cooled for reliability as it may run for some time unsupervised and with multiple users. Budget doesn't have to include peripherals, but it would better if we could include it. Thank you guys! Edit: I want to include some extra details. Our presentation software needs about 20gb of memory just for itself plus the OS and other things. We have the top of the line iMac currently with 64gb ram and I've seen it over 90% usage. The processor and graphics can't keep up as it glitches constantly. Our software becomes more and more power hungry with every update so we want to go all out for the future. I9 processor or equivalent. 7200mbs/t ram. Roughly a 4080 graphics card or similar.
  2. Budget (including currency): 2.000 Euro - 3.000 Euro Country: Greece (Parts from anywhere in Europe) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Dying Light 1-2, Cyberpunk, The Last Of Us, Minecraft, Shadows of Doubt etc. (in general I game a lot) Programs/Workloads: Blender, Unity, UnrealEngine, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Visual Studio, Krita, (maybe Streaming) (Currently, a Computer Science Student who is planning for a Game Dev master's Degree) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Question 1: How would you rate this build, any changes you would suggest? (It has been a while since I built a PC) Question 2: What Monitor would you suggest? 4. Budget (including currency): ~30 000 SEK Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Witcher 3 Hogwarts Legacy Resident Evil Cubase 12 Guitar Pro 8 FreeCad Other details Looking to build a smaller PC, unlike my current build with a Fractal Design Define R5. My concern is my chosen case. I was thinking about using a Cooler Master NR200P Max with an integrated PSU and AIO CPU-cooler. The PSU is at 850W (V850 SFX Gold 850W), do you think that is enough? I have tried different online PSU calculators and get a lot of different answers. Some say that 850W is enough, some say it isn't. What do you think? What is your general take on the chosen parts below? Good/bad? My monitor is a Samsung 49" Ultrawide, 5120x1440p. Resolution and image quality is more important than FPS in games. I appreciate all suggestions. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU-COOLER: - GPU: Sapphire PULSE RX 7900 XTX 24GB CASE: Cooler Master NR200P MAX MOBO: Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra RAM: Kingston Fury Beast Black 32GB (2x16GB) STORAGE: Kingston KC3000 M.2 2TB (x2) PSU: - OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Home Swedish 64-bit OEM Total: 30 650 SEK (Price for reference)
  5. Fix this as much as you can without sacrificing looks https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3L4RgB
  6. Budget (including currency): 1200€ but possibly 1000€ Country: Italy Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (they'd lke if possible to finally enjoy AAA titles), some 3d modeling. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): The current System: CPU: Intel core i5 4460 GPU: Nvidia gtx 960 RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3, 1866 MHz, 16Gb MOBO: Msi Z87 g45 gaming CASE: Itek ITGCSA02 PSU: Cooler Master RS700-ACABB1 Let me be honest: I've been out of the market for some time and I have no clue what would be the best approach right now. help?
  7. Budget (including currency): around 6K NIS Country: Israel Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: CS2, Warzone, and Starfield Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc.): It's the first build after six years. I have an i7 7700k and gtx 1070 that worked great for the last six years but are starting to show their age. I am planning a build around the AMD Ryzen 7800x3D and a secondhand Rtx 3080, but I don't know about the other parts. As for the motherboard, I found an ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS for a reasonable price. Is that a good board? as for RAM, i though about a 32GB(16x2) 6000Mhz cl32, is that an overkill or the 7800x3D will benefit from good ram? PSU thought about a 1000W gold Psu For the CPU cooler and case, I'm still determining. I currently have a Corsair 360mm AIO. If I continue with the same cooler, do you have any case recommendations for better airflow? How's the Corsair 5000x overall and trying to optimize for longevity, taking an E series motherboard for the PCIE Gen 5 16x, for example.
  8. Budget (including currency): 3-5k CHF/euro Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apart from triple A gaming, I would also like to use the PC for programming, so I would not mind a good all arounder CPU. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So far my only lock in is the Gigabyte GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090 (although I am not sure this partner card is the best option for the 4090) Considerations: - at 4k resolution the GPU will be the bottleneck, so I wont really need the best gaming CPU - heat generation I rank somewhat highly, I would prefer a more efficient CPU that doesnt heat my room too much during the summer - Besides gaming, I would also like to do programming on this PC (indexing files, compiling programs), but this is not the main focus, it would be for hobby/side projects. - overall price with motherboard and memory of course matters - platform longevity is the last, final consideration, if 2 options are equal I would prefer the CPU with the architecture that will be supported longer I can't really decied between the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Intel I7-13700K. Please help me decide! Or tell me why I should go for a 3rd option. Also if you want, please suggest other components as well, I havent decided anything yet for the rest of the components. I am going for an all black build, and ideally minimal/tasteful RGB. I have a vague idea that I would like a AIO cooler with an LCD monitor to display temperatures, and ideally the radiator fans are not too flashy. And I am planning to go for a Seasonic power supply due to all the good reviews they get from LLT. Thanks for the help!
  9. Budget (including currency): £1200 for the PC Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details: Hi! I have never built my own PC, me and my gf are planning to buy a new gaming PC, and seeing how much cheaper building your own is, I was doing the research for the parts. Here's the part picker list I have rn: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/wJhqDq I would appreciate any advice/tips regarding these, like are there any cheaper alternatives for these? Thanks in advance!
  10. Budget (including currency): 1300€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex Legends, Cs:Go, GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Old pc died =new build after 8 years... Need a PC for 1440p/144hz gaming and im unsure about the CPU and GPU. Is it worth going for the Ryzen 7000 Series even though I'd need a more expensive Motherboard and more expensive DDR5 Ram, for future proofing my PC or go with maybe a 5000 Series CPU? Same goes for the GPU. Are the new 40-Series GPUs really worth it or is let's say a 30-Series more than enough for gaming? Any recommendations and/or tips are welcome
  11. Hey all, just upgraded from a 2070 Super and built my new PC - During my first gaming test, I was able to play Fortnite for 20ish minutes and then had a driver crash. Restarted the PC, loaded back in and was met with the same fate much quicker. XMP is enabled on my DDR5 Ram also. Wondering if anyone has any advice - or if I should be testing with other games. I've just spent a lot of time building/troubleshooting already thought I had crossed the finish line already. Update: I've ran OCCT, which showed no problems - After running Forza 5 for probably 20-30 minutes - I was met once again with a black screen - rebooting my computer. I had the Temps overlayed on the side and neither my GPU or CPU either went above 75c. Is there anything else I can try? I've already updated the Bios on my motherboard to the most updated version along with the Drivers on my 7900xtx. Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kw258215/saved/#view=yCwXf7
  12. Budget (including currency): $1500 Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mortal Kombat 11, Valorant, GTA 5, Assasins creed valhala Other details : peripherals would be bought separately, Planning to buy 144hz monitor
  13. Budget (including currency): 16000 ± 2000 dkk Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p gaming and programming. I might have to work with machine learning, depends on some life decisions which is why I have one option with nvidia GPU. Gaming includes the newest AAA titles such as starfield, red dead redemption etc. but also popular games such as LoL, CS:GO and Valorant Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have all peripherals, so no need for that. While the price of the thermalright peerless assassin is not available through pcpartpicker, it should become available at around 350 dkk soon. I do like the fractal north case and would like to keep even though it costs a little extra compared to other cases. I would like to stay at 16k however I don't know whether it is feasible with a 4080. I have looked at the 4070 (TI), however 12 GB vram feels kinda bad especially for ML. The only difference between the two builds is the GPU. 14. Budget (including currency): $1600 or way less Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly play, DCS, Space engineers, Huntshowdown, and a few other mainstream games, virtual DJ. would like to get into streaming and some video and music development. Other details im actively using a Hp Victus with a AMD ryzen 5 5600H and a RTX3050 which works just fine for mostly everything i do but i want more out of it ,so I'm looking at building my own i have a general idea of what i want and need in my PC but im not sure on how to bring it all together i want a really great computer with next gen support and upgradeability. i fully understand how aggressive the PC market can be for personal builds and im not looking to brake the bank with every top end pc Part but, i do wanna build for next gen like 4.0 a 5.0 SSD support and more. at least more then one SSD slot and room to breath in the future with upgrades. Ive already bought a Samsung 2t 980 pro for the victus and then a friend of mine gave me a Lian li lancool 216, so those are the main reasons for the build its self Ive used PCpartpicker and chose a few Parts but i need help rounding them out and seeing if i can save money in some areas of the build with out losing good FPS numbers. im trying to push for 1440p or higher and im not to worried about raytracing or any of the extra graphics that get turned off anyway for better performance in FPS games. however anyone would love to be able to see that eye candy every now and then https://pcpartpicker.com/list/K9JJFg
  15. Hi guys, i recently build a new PC the parts were suggested to me from here. Everything went smooth during the build and windows installation. PC is running good no freezes no crashes, the only games that i have tried until now is Dota2 and Overwatch both running good. The issues that i have noticed until now are 1 it takes an awful long time to load BIOS about 10 minutes and 2 a bit difficult to describe....the cursor when i write it "leaves" some black lines between the letters but it does that only in dark background colors (photos attached) Issue 1: After i put the parts together was time to install windows, went into BIOS there i noticed it took about 2-3 minutes, anyways i moved on with the windows installation after that i checked a few times to load BIOS and it was always like 2-3minutes, it was bothering me....from what i remember entering BIOS was a matter of seconds. I thought i will just update BIOS to the latest version and maybe that will be it, and so i did but now its takes more than 10 minutes to load BIOS, is this normal or have i done something wrong? I did the BIOS update using the @BIOS software from the AORUS APP Center X.M.P Profile1 Enabled and SAM Enabled (the long loading times for the BIOS where also 10min before those 2 were enabled) OS: Windows 10 x64 Current BIOS version: F6b (Date: Mar 23, 2023) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor COOLER: NZXT Kraken 240 78.02 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler MOBO: Gigabyte X570S AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM4 Motherboard RAM: Kingston FURY Renegade 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory SDD for OS: Crucial P5 Plus 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive SDD for media: Crucial P5 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive GPU: XFX Speedster MERC 319 CORE Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB Video Card PSU: MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQR 31.5" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Curved Monitor Complete list of parts can be found in my profile or here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/kdJfrH Issue 2: Photos Attached Bonus Issue: Just happened now for the first time, as i was writing this post i had to go out for about 15 min left the PC on, when i got back the PC was on standby but i noticed the lights from the GPU were off, normally they stay on, moved the mouse the screen went on and the lights from the GPU went on too but there were lines all over the screen did a restart back to normal !!! 16. Budget (including currency): 1000 USD (flexible) Country: Bosnia and Herzegovina Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks - larger assemblies, simulation and rendering, Autodesk Eagle and AutoCAD, Games - titles like Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, Assassins creed Mirage etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Case, monitor and peripherals are excluded form this budget. I'm planning to play at 1440p at the most, targeting above 60fps. My idea was building with Ryzen 5600X and 3060Ti but I'm would like some advice, or if someone has ideas on better performance for value parts. Thank you in advance.
  17. Hi all, I am trying to build a computer and I am getting the error code D6 when turning it on for the first time. Here is the build: ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi Intel i5-13600K Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 (2x16GB) Gigabyte Gaming OC 12GB 4070Ti Seasonic Prime TX-1000 WD_Black SN850X 1TB NVMe SSD Noctua NH-D15 NZXT H5 Flow When I try posting the machine after building it, the graphics card lights up and the fans begin to spin, then maybe 5 seconds later the fans stop spinning and the lights turn off. The motherboard then finally lands on error code D6. (Note: the only things plugged in are: the power cable, DisplayPort cable, usb keyboard, usb wireless mouse dongle) Things I have tried so far: Unplugging the GPU and using the iGPU as well as unplugging and reseating the GPU. Result: error D6 Using the Seasonic included 12VHPWR as well as the Nvidia branded 12VHPWR to pcie psu cables. Result: error D6 Reseating the RAM as well as using only one stick of RAM. Result: error D6 Reflashing the bios using BIOS Flaskback as well as clearing the CMOS using the Clear CMOS button. Result: error D6 I don’t have a separate motherboard that works to test the GPU, but because I get the same error message when I try to use the integrated graphics on the cpu, I suspect it is not the graphics card fault but instead the motherboard. Is there any other troubleshooting measures I can try to take before RMAing the motherboard? Thank you in advance EDIT: The issue has been resolved but I do not know exactly what fixed it so Ill just say what happened in case someone has a similar problem. After trying different things to no avail, I tried turning off the hybrid mode (no fan) on the power supply and suddenly the iGPU started working. I went through the Windows 11 install process and updated the nvidia drivers (Windows was detecting the gpu but when I tried to switch to it, it did not work). Then I tried moving the HDMI cable plugged into the motherboard down to the GPU (I had primarily been using DisplayPort on the GPU) and it worked. I then tried unplugging the DisplayPort cable and plugging it back in and it finally worked. Im not sure where along the way the GPU started working but hopefully this helps
  18. Budget (including currency): Around 2000€ Country: EU Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop, premiere, blender, overwatch, csgo, valorant, ark, GTA5 Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm building an entirely new ATX size system for around 2000€ targeted gaming at 1440p 144hz, planning on buying it in the next 2/3 months around July/August/September 2023. I would really like an Rtx 4000 series and an i7 processor at least, DDR5 RAM if possible since I'm planning on keeping the system for the next 5+ years. All recommendations are welcomed except for a case I'll buy one in a local store. Thanks in advance
  19. Budget: 1500 euros Country: benelux Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p 144hz gaming https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4JG6k9 I have been looking to build a pc for around 1500 euros for a while. I just came up with this. I have a few questuons tough. 1. Will the 5600 work fine with 4070 at 1440p 2. Do wireless adapters also have bluetooth? 3. Is there any way i can add a little performance for the same ammount or make the pc a little cheaper? Thanks already! edit: I will also use it for 3D drawings
  20. Budget (including currency): 2400 EUR Country: Poland For: Gaming some office work (excel) Other details: not upgrading - new build Monitors: 2 x 144hz, 1440p in games Nvidia for better RTX: (I'm a green fanboy) Lifespan: 5-7 years Here's my build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/YCN4xs Few notes and questions: 1. I don't OC. Looks don't matter (no rgb etc.) 2. Mother board: Should I get X670? Can I get sth chaper? Bluetooth and wi-fi are a must. 3. Case: Does silienced case like make sense or are they always hotter, period? 4. Cooling: My original idea was to buy i7 13th gen so I paired it with AIO Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 and bigger case to fit it on top. Since I switch to AMD I read this forum and people often choose air coolers so I gues it's enough or is AIO an option with this AMD? 5. Do I need a support stand for this gpu? 6. I consider MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X 12GB for a smaller chance for coil noise. Thank you!

  25. I built a new PC yesterday with a Phantex 500A case, Asus B550-F Wireless mobo, 32GB of corsair ram, 1TB m.2, 800w psu and a EVGA 3070. The system booted fine and I installed windows and the chipsets drivers etc. I was playing around with the asus software asuite and hit the button to test your fans or something like that. The fans whirred up and then the system locked up. I shut the system down but since then I haven't been able to get a display to work. The monitor shows no signal and the motherboard has the white light on which according to the manual is a VGA issue. Things I have done so far: 1. reset GPU 2.Try a older GPU in the socket, same thing happened, no signal 3. Flash the bios to the latest version via a USB stick 4. Get VERY annoyed 5. Try different ports on the card (HDMI/DP) 6. Try hooking upto another monitor I'm tapped out here, I have no idea what the issue is. When I boot the PC, the CPU heatsink spins, the case fans spin, the rgb on the GPU lights up (The fans seem to not spin after the initial startup). I've included a pic of the mobo error light if it helps. It's showing green there but that was after I flashed the bios, now it just shows the white light. Any suggestions. It's frustrating as I don't know if it's a component that has died or something silly.
