Hello ppl Im a danish lad, who just finished studying. I want to spend some of the money, from my first salaries on a new PC-build. I am going to use it for gaming: Path of Exile, Dota2, WoW, Skyrim and such. I am a big fan of ASUS and I kinda want to support them by buying their products, so keep this in mind. I am good on mouse, keyboard and monitor alike - so no concerns here. My build can be seen following this link (Keep in mind my national currency.) This is my build I would like options for alterations to achieve: a cheaper build with same performance a better performance for same price Also I would like to remove my concerns: Can my Cabinet can contain my pieces Can my power-supply support my pieces Can my power-supply connect to all my pieces Here is raw list without using link: Name Description Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz Intel i7 CPU G.Skill Ripjaws V Black DDR4 3200MHz 32GB RAM Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E500B 500GB 500GB SSD ASUS ROG STRIX-GTX1070 Nvidia Geforce Graphics Card ASUS Maximums VIII Hero ASUS Maximums VIII Hero Motherboard Seagate Desktop SSHD ST2000DX001 2TB 2TB HDD Cooler Master Silencio 452 Cabinet Corsair RM705i 750W Power supply Corsair Hydro Series H100i V2 CPU cooler Thanks in advance guys

Hi all! I've been planning this build for a long time. 2 years, to be specific. Now that I've gotten me a job (still in school), it's actually starting to look possible. I'm in Australia, and I'm only buying from a local store (saves money on shipping, I checked the shipping from PCCG and it was something mad like $120). I've been doing a lot of research on the best value parts (i5 7600k for example) and after a while I've narrowed things down to these parts: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/fp9dRG Prices are in AUD, and the pricelist for the store is here: http://msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf Vega has (kind of) arrived here, but it seems to be just the 64 and I remain skeptical. Now, this is primarily going to be a gaming system (Star Citizen, PUBG, BF1, etc.), and appearance was a big factor in me picking these parts. I for one love RGB and couldn't resist gigabyte's sweet, sweet lighting on their boards and cards. I'm pretty convinced about having an Intel system, simply because the i5 7600k is (from what I've read) the best value gaming cpu on the market right now. Some areas where I'm a bit confused are PSUs (how much headroom is enough), coolers (is the Hyper 212x enough for a little overclock), and SSDs (I love the speed of the 960 evo but I'm really unwilling to fork out $300+ for the 500gb version, is the 250gb enough for Win 10 and a few AAA titles?). Thanks in advance, Jaeger

Firstly apologies because im sure this question has been asked here a bunch, but I was wondering weather Its worth waiting for the i7-8700k or if I should just go with the 7700k This would be the system: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($445.00 @ Shopping Express) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($139.00 @ PLE Computers) Motherboard: Asus - STRIX Z270-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($287.00 @ Shopping Express) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($249.00 @ Mwave Australia) Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($209.00 @ Shopping Express) Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB STRIX GAMING Video Card ($1149.00 @ Shopping Express) Case: NZXT - S340 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($145.50 @ Skycomp Technology) Power Supply: Corsair - RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($154.00 @ Shopping Express) Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home Full 32/64-bit ($139.00 @ Shopping Express) Total: $2916.50 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-10-28 17:38 AEDT+1100 PCCG wishlist for 7700k: https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/763867 PCCG wishlist for 8700k: https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/758787/8700k Build The system is pretty much just for gaming. So yea, pccg are expecting more shipments in early November, so I was wondering what the likelihood of me being able to grab one is? Whether they'll sell out instantly and if I should just go with the 7700k and save the $181 AUD.

Okay so I built my first pc and got everything started up, had a little trouble installing windows with the memory, but ultimately got it downloaded and working. I had my Hdmi connected through my motherboard and not through the gpu while installing windows and booting. I go to start windows and have some issues with a black screen when i was connected to the gpu and didnt think too much but now i cant install any drivers for Nvidia unless its connected via hdmi. Every time I plug it in and reboot, i get a longer boot time and no logo or anything, just black screen. Any tips, i havent done any overclocking yet and only have an hdmi cable atm. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3M7fqk

So, I have my newly built pc. This pc is having an issue where it will go to youtube.com, i will look up a video that I want to watch, it will load the video along the play bar, but it will not play. I have tried to troubleshoot the issue and all of the ideas from googles help center. I have found that it is not my network nor does any other device on my network have the issue. I have tried deleting cookies, the cache, restarting my system, restarting the network, updating the bios and signing in and out of google. It won't even load a video add. Is there anyone that might be able to help me or is there another forum that I should have posted this in? Please help as youtube is a vital site to have access to.

Hi, I 'm planning to upgrade my old PC (almost 10 years) and decided to just keep the case and HDD's. The upgrade components are listed below: NEW COMPONENTS: - Core i5 7500 - Asus B250F motherboard - HyperX Fury 2400 8 GB RAM - Micron/Samsung 250GB M.2 SSD - Gigabyte 1050ti graphics card - Cooler Master MWE Bronze 550W Power Supply OLD COMPONENTS: - Chieftec mid tower case (this is pretty good even for today, screwless installation inside and rock solid chassis) - 1TB and 500GB 7200 RPM WD HDD's Some people advised against i5 7500 but coffee lake is still not available in my country and these things always arrive late in the market in India and as for Ryzen, that are a lot of reviews that suggests that it has problems memory/ram speed consistency. Any suggestions? should i make any changes to this build or go ahead with it? I'm a casual gamer and will be using this PC for some music production work.

I just redid my computer and formated all the ssds. I have 3 samsung 850 evos for raid 0. Bios and device manager detected the three but disk management and samsung magician only recognize two. I can't initialize the third ssd. The ssds were formated using the samsung secure erase software so I doubted I wiped something important. I have tried swaping sata ports along with sata cables to no avail. I have an m.2 ssd as well but that shouldn't limit half of my sata ports (6 total) on my mobo. Here are my pc specs: Corsair HX1200i GTX 1080 i7-6700K Corsair Dominator ddr4 32gb Asus Sabertooth Z170 S

Hi everyone! I am looking to build myself a new system based around the Ryzen 7 1700 because to my knowledge its the best bang for my buck especially since I have no interest in overclocking. I am not really a big expert on what parts go together so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of a build that would give me a decent future proof pc that can handle a good amount of multitasking and some pc gaming. Any help would be greatly appreciated because so far I found this is the best place for pc advice! Thank you all in advance!

Hi, I have spent the best part of a few years saving up for a pc build the original build was an amd 860k paired with a gtx 750ti however when nvidia released its new cards I felt a 1050ti would be much better. I am now close to ordering parts and could probably afford to upgrade the 1050ti to a 1060 3gb. My question is although the CPU will bottleneck this card, by how much? would it still be worth upgrading the gpu? or should I stay with the 1050ti and upgrade cpu to 880k With money as the deciding factor it's either gtx 1060 upgrade or athlon 880k upgrade and a bit more ram Is this CPU still worth it in 2017, would intel be better? Many thanks in advance -Guy

I've been getting a ton of feedback from people on building a new pc and this is the build I came out with hhttps://pcpartpicker.com/list/fGDngL I have no experience with building computers or setups what so ever and I want to make my overall setup as nice as it can be. Since I don't have any experience I was a little worried about cable management or just messing something up in general. I know prebuilts are mostly terrible but I came across this one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ibuypower-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-240gb-solid-state-drive-2tb-hard-drive-black-red/5600310.skuId=5600310 and wanted to see how the two compare. They're around the same price and both have a 1080ti and intel i7 7700K so I figured it might not be a bad prebuilt at all. It would save me the time and I wouldn't have to worry about messing something up when building. I seriously would love to build one just to say I did it but again, I am worried about cable management and messing stuff up. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ibuypower-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-240gb-solid-state-drive-2tb-hard-drive-black-red/5600310.skuId=5600310 VS https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fGDngL Thanks to everyone who responds and helps out, it means a lot.

Hello everyone! I just finish building my first PC! It looks really great, but there's cables everywhere and they are hard to manage... I was looking at some of linus video and he was talking about CableMod. Did anyone ever use those cables? I would like some feedback about them if you guys don't mind! Also, I don't think they have a Canadian Website, is there any discount code available right now because the US to CAD transfer is pretty insane right now xD. Here's what's in my build if you want to check it out! https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/MMCdJV

Hello, First!! I am a german guy who is currently in University (FoodEngenering) and English is not my native language.... I want to spend like 1000-1400 €(1050-1450USD) for an Upgrade. The system is mainly for Gaming and programming software as well as design machinery. Games ( BF 1, Starcraft 2, Dota 2, Skyrim, Just Cause 3....) At the moment I am using 2 1080p 60hz monitors but my new system should be good for 21*9 3440*1440 at a reasonable Hz (Freesync or Gsync) Monitor costs isn't included in the budget ( I am buying the monitor later) I have a running win 10 64bit and Keyboard and Mice, so no need to buy I am currently running: FX 8350 (no oc) Alpenföhn Matterhorn for CPU cooler Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 16 GB g.skile 1866 MHz xfx 7870 GHz edition crossfire ( one is already sold) 480 Gb Crucial SSD 1 TB WD Harddrive PSU: Corsair CSM 650W 80+Gold Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe I bought the System 3 Years ago with only 1 GPU and upgradeI the 2. GPU like 2 Years ago (at the time I bought the 2. 1080p Monitor). I thought about the I5-6600K ( with the NZXT Kraken X62) and a GTX 1070( ASUS or so), paired with 16 GB 3200mhz Corsair RAM on an ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Aura. ( This is about 1300 € in Germany) Or, since I liked AMD a lot.... wait for ZEN and VEGA.... I don't know Thanks for helping Erik Stolz from Germany

So, I am in college and currently have an MSI GS63VR but the thing is that this thing isn't that great. Hardrive freezes up constantly and the graphics fidelity isn't as insane as I thought it would be. I want to be able to game and do MUSIC production in the program called ABLETON. I was gonna get a macbook but due to recent releases from that piece of shit company I thought, hey wtf i'll just go back home to my love, windows. ANYWAY. I'm getting a credit reimburstment on the 16th and will have about $2000 to blow on a pc OR a laptop. I do like the portability but out of real seriousness. I don't even take the laptop anywhere so I am fine with getting a PC but I REALLY REALLY want a small one. Perferably mini itx. If ya'll can help me get the best for what I am going to be doing that would be great. Top priorities for me when using a computer is being able to use programs like Cinema4d, Ableton, Adobe Premiere and so forth for content creation. I just want it all to be in the smallest package as possible without treading the high numbers in heat. Anything helps. help me pls.

Hey guys I resides in NYC and was wondering if these specs will be good. Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MQp4BP If I can get 1080 for $500, would you suggest spending $70-$80 more to get 1080 ASUS strix RGB.

Hello, The name's FileLoop. One of the many cringy children that made an account, furthermore I am also new to both the community and the tech world. So feel free to scoff away and shoot down any delusions i may have. Well! Now that introductions are out of the way... After finally being granted a large sum of cash to spend away at my first personal pc, a good $1,500(whew man i can feel the privilege), I've decided to take a step into building my own desktop instead of buying pre-built ones. Now, without much leads as to how to build my own pc and having few tech-savvy friends. I've done QUALITY research (Aka Googling "Help First PC build guide" which lead me to LinusTechTips/NcixTechTips Youtube channel then onto this forum) into the various components of a Desktop Computer! Tl:Dr 1. Budget: $1,500 general price however with a $300 room for performance. So it's a ABSOLUTE cap at $1,800 (With my own personal funds) Location: United States of Trump, thus US Dollar. (no $CAD, or Euros and ESPECIALLY not Yen.) I'll be real with you, I'm currently stuck for a 5 year-old, hand-me-down, on the literal verge of death HP laptop computer. I'm pushing it's lifespan, risking blue screens and its inevitable permanent death. I need a new PC SOON and the 1.5k Grant was a literal godsend. I intend to compile as much expert opinions from the forums in the time span of approximately a week or two then head straight to ordering and building my new Desktop. I know, a selfish time limit but im in dire need of it. 2. Aim: I generally do browsing since games where borderline impossible for my laptop. I do have games like Skyrim(Modded), a few Assassins Creed games and a few new indie games(which i bought from steam, lets be honest most of us buy just because). For the most part I do Digital art, with programs like photoshop, Clip Studio Paint and Sai. The main need i require is the power(vRam?) to open large image files in programs like photoshop and finally see double digit FPS in my games(Imagination does wonders in patching up single digit fps). I would most likely get into more AAA games if i get the chance to. Also I intend to make FULL use of my 1.5k grant, I will NEVER get this kind of chance again. Proposed System: I'll be honest, i just choose most of these parts based off Linus's video about "Viewer's choice Award November 2016" video. Please don't lynch me, i know it was an absolutely thoughtless decision but i really need to stress my time crunch. I am open to any suggestions, I implore you to pulverize my list. Well i guess in a general perspective I'm upgrading my overall technology? Well regardless, i need a replacement soon before the laptop im typing with dies. #LivingOnTheEdge
