Budget (including currency): Country: Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I have a new gaming PC that I am about to build. I have an SSD with the OS and all my drivers and games and everything already on it. Would I be able to plug it right in to my new build and have it boot up perfectly fine like the Pre Built I am taking it out of? I am using the Same GPU from the prebuilt as well so the drivers for that are also already on that SSD I mentioned. New parts will be everything with the exception of the RTX 2080 and if this works the SSD otherwise all other parts and components will be brand new. Any advice how to create a bootable USB of Windows? Thanks for any and all help, apologies for the rookie questions. Thanks to all!!!

Hello, I have recently built my first PC and atfirst everything was going swimmingly. I downloaded all the drivers i thought i needed but in device management i found that the GPU wasnt being detected properly and upon googling i found some advice saying that i may need to manually download and install the latest BIOS update for my motherboard. I found that there was a more recent version of the bios to download so i downloaded it and installed it using ASUS EZ installer. The installation completed as expected but upon the automatic restart no gpu is detected (Motherboard indicator for VGA lit). I then decided i would try the BIOS flashback feature so I downloaded an earlier motherboard BIOS and let that install but it has still not resolved the issue. Have i broken my motherboard or GPU? if not how can i fix this? I apologise for my lack of ability and knowlege in advance. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5800x mobo: ROG Strix b550-a gaming GPU: GTX 980

newbuild Rate this build (go easy, I'm an older guy)

I wanted a rig that would last me a few years. I generally get 4 years before I get the itch to upgrade. ASUS MoBo - Prime X299 Deluxe II CPU - Intel Core I9 9900X RAM - Corsair CMK32GX4M4B3200C16 DDR4 (32 MB total) GPU - NVIDA GeForce RTX-2080 Super Boot Drive - NVMe Samsung 970 PRO 512 MB Data Drive - NVMe Samsung 970 PRO 1 TB Power - Corsair AX1000 Cooler - NZXT Kracken 72 360 mm Radiator Additional fans 6 - Noctua in push pull added to the case fans OS - Win 10 Pro Lots of additional HDD storage for pictures and sound (music). What are your thoughts of this build? It is my second build. I am 60 years old and a computer fan since the early days. I have kept current on tech and wanted a build that would enable me to eventually do some VR in addition to my photo and Drone hobby. I am currently overclocked at 28% the system generally runs at 37-42 degrees C and at full tilt when rendering doesn't go above 71C -
Please help. This is my first PC, and since I built it on Christmas (25th December), I’ve had nonstop issues, and it’s very discouraging :(. Even in the games that are extremely easy to run (Minecraft and Overwatch), and my PC should handle absolutely fine, I get massive frametime spikes, that come with noticeable stutters, and sometimes cause the game to freeze for over a second. I reinstalled windows thinking it would fix the issue, but it didn’t. Now my COD warzone, that used to run fine, will crash whenever I try to change the resolution from 720p to 1080p. I don’t know what is wrong, but it is really exhausting to try to troubleshoot without having PC parts that you can swap out to check for faulty ones. Please help :(. Temps don’t seem to be concerning, so I doubt it has to do with thermal throttling. https://drive.google.com/file/d/183B5N4eOqK-9IRRTfrJFD9itn2XW0hje/view?usp=sharing Minecraft is even worse, with a very unstable time graph, and constant spikes, with very stuttery gameplay. My PC should be able to handle these easier games just fine, but I don’t know why it doesn’t. Specs: Gigabyte GTX 1650 OC Ryzen 5 2600x Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3200Mhz. Tomahawk b450 MAX Seagate Barracuda 2tb 7200RPM HDD Corsair CV650 Windows 10 x64 MSI Forge 100r PS. As far as I know, my GPU drivers are up to date.

I know I should use and M.2 SSD for storage but I like the large storage. I would really like some help deciding/figuring out if I should get two of the same RX570 and run crossfire or try and sell this card and buy a newer card, or if I should upgrade my CPU considering it an I5 but I can overclock it a little and get good performance out of it. I watched some guided before writing this post but none of them really answered my questions you I wanted to ask real people

newbuild Intel Build Small-ish Case Under 2,200
ExplorerSergio posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 2,200 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I would like to mainly game on it. Run Warzone, Fortnite, and Rainbow Six Siege at over 200 fps (and other popular titles like that) (maybe VR capable if that fits in the budget) Other details: *this will be my first pc build* So I do not plan to overclock anything or do to much extra stuff to it, I am just a average guy and do not want to have to trouble shoot if the overclocking ends up messing things up. Trying to build a mini tower pc that is portable with a handle preferred. I would like to fit it in this case: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L MicroATX Mini Tower Case I would like to put in the 12th gen i7 intel chip and I would like to have it water-cooled as well. What would be recommended for a build like this? I would like to be around 2,000-2,200 if that is possible. I am not sure with the prices of the gpu market right now.- 4 replies

I recently purchased a pre-built pc from Cyberpower PC, from day 1, been having issues...the monitor kept losing signal then at one point, it would also randomly freeze, the keyboard and mouse would hang indefinitely and then it would reboot. After troubleshooting and research, i tried removing 1 of the ram sticks, thinking the other might be bad...it worked flawlessly for 3 days so i tried using the other stick of ram, and to my surprise, it, too worked flawlessly. I then tried switching the ram slots, thinking 1 was bad but its also working. Its an Asus Tuf Gaming motherboard( the X570-Plus (Wi-fi) and its the SPECTRIX D60G ram which im actually not seeing on the motherboard's list of approved ram. Could this be why only 1 stick works but with 2, i get all those issues? Its not the CPU or GPU, i ran benchmarks on those and they run flawlessly with no overheating etc ( the cpu is a ryzen 9 5900x and the gpu is the tuf gaming rtx 3090)

LEDS during the boot DRAM turns yellow for a few seconds then goes off, then CPU turns RED and goes off, VGA light turns on and stays solid white at all times and boot light stay yellow greenish above the white light. Fans on the GPU it self start spinning the moment I press the power button but then stop working. this is brand new build with all the new components that I just got, so im wondering is this a motherboard issue where the bios is not supporting my Ryzen or not updated to the latest version or something else? This is my planned build, which I hope to get some feedback on. I plan to push 200fps on low settings on valorant, whilst streaming. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mr-G-Man/saved/M3DRK8 I've heard something about a BSOD while booting on this motherboard (Asus TUF X570), something about the WIFI drivers. Will that be an issue? Also, even though valorant is an easy to run game, do you guys think I'll be able to push 200+fps whilst streaming? Anyway, sorry for the semi long request. Cheers to anyone in advance for replying!
