Budget (including currency): 2500 euros Country: Lithuania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: various games like witcher 3, GTA 5, Cyberpunk. Editing programs like solidworks, adobe premiere and similar Other details So I have did some research on many things and currently I have this list : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KYwxpH . I don't need any particular recommendations on what monitor or other peripherals but what I do need is some insight on part list. Is it all good, should I look into some other components and so on. Just to be sure I get price and quality balance. Main objective of this build is to last 5+ or even 10+ years with high performance and with ability to upgrade its components.

Goals for posting this: I would like some of my questions answered (they're at the end of the post) I would like advice on my first iteration of the build I would like to cut any totally unnecessary costs (this cutting should not decrease the performance of the build, only save me a bit of money) Budget (including currency): I am comfortable spending $2500 USD (with tax). Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ideally it will be used as a work and gaming rig for the next 5-10 years with some capability for creative content. I don't really want to be frustrated with what I can't do with it. I'd love to build it myself since I love messing with stuff. However, I am afraid I might break it because I may get impatient, excited, or nervous when building it. I'd like to go see someone who is knowledgeable about the process or make a video call with them, but I don't really know of anybody or any service like this. Actually, I have one lead on someone I can possibly video chat, but I'd really rather do it in person. I really prefer exploration type games as opposed to FPS games, but I do love a smooth experience, if it isn't smooth I will turn down the graphics. Sample of the games I play: Grounded Slime Rancher Warframe Games I'd like to play on the new rig: Elden Ring Forza Horizon 5 All the previous but with graphics up (I play more games but they're not really graphics intensive or are on another console...) Things beside gaming that I should be able to do excellently on it: programming, as I am a CS student stream on twitch edit videos (possibly) 3D rendering Other details: My priorities: Fast CPU so that I can dabble in as many creative things as I desire Fast GPU for gaming Good amount of RAM because I hate being limited by the amount of programs I have open Good connection to internet (not really sure how to approach this one) First iteration of my build: https://pcbuilder.net/rigs/Egwd9L/ 1. I am only 19, and I do love going outside of the house to do programming work and find I am more productive this way (I currently use my mom's gaming laptop for school). I am an online student currently struggling with productivity and doing things in general. Giving myself another reason to not go outside the house maybe isn't a good idea right now. Would it be better for me to just pick up a gaming laptop and set aside my dreams for a PC away, for now? (It would be cheaper, too!) Could I somehow have... both? I really want to build a PC. Maybe I could purchase a mid-range gaming laptop and build a minimalist PC for fun and for practice of the real build. Or, I could get a decent PC build and a garbage laptop to do programming work on. I'd really like to be able to upgrade whatever I've got, if I go this route. Not really sure about it. You have any ideas? I want to use my Samsung Smart TV as a monitor in combination with the monitor I buy. I'm fairly sure this is my model: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN32J525D-32-Inch-Certified-Refurbished/product-reviews/B015DACSBU What is a good headset for streaming that is relatively cheap? I want to fit it in my budget but I can let go of this for now. What is a good keyboard that is relatively cheap? I want to fit it in my budget but I can let go of this for now. My dad has two of these bad boys (https://idealmachinery.com/inventory/fans-blades/nmb/67523-4715fs-12t-b50) just laying around in the garage he got for free, but they are rated 115 volts instead of the regular 12 volt fans that are in PCs. Would it be possible to somehow incorporate these into my rig, and if it is, would it even be worth it? Also I think it would be funny. Do you guys have recommendations of how to approach fast and reliable internet? I have been thinking ethernet is probably the best option but I am not really sure how any of that works, I've just assumed up to this point that it's plug 'n play but I've got a feeling it isn't. My room is upstairs and the router is downstairs. I don't have knowledge of an ethernet port anywhere upstairs either, but I guess I've yet to check too. What items might I need to purchase in order to actually build the thing? (something to electrically ground myself during a build, tools needed etc) What things might I need to store a certain computer part for later? Any recommendations for someone or some service that could help me build it? On average, how long would shipping the items + build process take (for a beginner)? I didn't know there were so many iterations of GPUs. I thought 3070 had a decent price range and the ROG Strix fit nicely into my budget. Don't know if it is the best for me though... I'm worried my cooling isn't so good in this first build iteration. Fan was chosen pretty arbitrarily. Case was chosen arbitrarily, besides being ATX. Power supply was chosen semi-arbitrarily, with me taking into consideration the wattage of the CPU (170 watts TDP [idk the difference between PPT and TDP]) and GPU (290 watts TDP) and the price. I wanted to be pretty safe, but I don't know if 700 watt power supply is overkill or not, or even if I need more. UPS was chosen arbitrarily but I definitely know I need one How do I do BIOS stuff? I picked windows 10 on flash drive because I thought it would be easier than whatever else but I really don't know Edit: forgot to mention that I already have a Samsung 980 PRO 1T M.2 storage purchased. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hello all. I have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. I work in IT for a county in the US and I have started hosting all of our official meetings as well as beginning to record them. As time has gone on I have built rolling TV setups and small meeting rooms to record video footage. I do all of my recording through OBS(another learning curve entirely) and have since been tasked with creating a full mobile video production set up. I essentially have a blank check but, like Luke I don't like spending money without knowledge of a good return. My predecessor was fired as he over promised and never delivered leaving me with a half baked BMD(Black Magic Design) system. That is a long way of saying, while I can use OBS I have ZERO knowledge about the hardware I need. I am looking for resources, guides, or anything that might help me make an informed decision to build a semi professional setup to record and stream county meetings. What I need to do is capture the audience video and replies on one side and the speakers video and voice on the other. Currently all I have is a BMD URSA Mini Pro G2 4.6K Camera, a handful of Rokinon lenses(35mm, 58mm, 50mm and a 14mm), and a single Rode Microphone mounted on top of the camera. Apart from that I have no way of currently connecting this to my computer or any way of doing audio balancing. My only knowledge of this equipment is pushing buttons and reading user manuals. I am not the artsy type so right now I am just going for making this a functional setup that won't require additional resources apart from the occasional battery purchase or maintenance upgrade. As a side note I am enjoying learning all of this so I am not taking on the project begrudgingly I just know this forum will help me get on my feet.

just assembled my new pc today, and it powers on, but doesn't boot up. I was told by friends that build pc's regularly and they say everything looks right, but when I turn it on, the CPU light on the motherboard instantly comes on and it just stays that way with all the fans spinning, it just wont boot. I have tried everything my friends told me to and nothing works. I have unplugged everything that isn't required to power on the pc, I have removed the ram and replaced it, and even re-installed the CPU and cooler but it still wont boot. Pc hardware Motherboard: MSI B-450 gaming Plus max Bios ver: AMI BIOS 7B86vHG CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 5 4600G, 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4 CL16 PSU: Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys! First post here, and i'm here to get some help. I'd like to overclock my cpu but never did that and I don't know if i'm doing in the best way possible (doubt it). I have a: i9 9900kf noctua nh-d14 Asus Z390-plus gaming 32Gb of ddr4 ram (I think they are hyper x fury at 3000mhz but i'm not sure) zotac rtx 3060 At the moment I arrived at 5ghz stable with an avarage temperature of 85/86 degrees on xtu benchmark. I have a core offset voltage of -0.030v, 50x Pcore ratio and a 43x on Pcache ratio. if there is any way to improve this I'd love to do it. thanks in advance to anyone who will try to help me (also sorry if i don't speak very good english but it's not my primary language).

Budget (including currency): € 1000 or 1073 USD Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The witcher 3, warframe, minecraft, High on life, horizon zero dawn, some emulating and programming. Other details: I want the 1000 euro to also have the monitor included, I think I want to game in 1440p with 144hz or 75hz refresh rate, I want to include a intel arc a750 or a770 and further I want bluethooth on my motherboard, I also want 16gb of ram. I am upgrading froma 750 with 8gb of ddr3 ram and a intel i3, so basically everything is better then that. Thanks in advance!

Budget (including currency): $2000 CAD Country: Canada I will be using this PC for: Programs: Blender UE4 Games: Star Citizen Elden Ring CyberPunk 2077 Hogwarts Legacy VR Titles Upcoming titles such as Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6, Ark 2, etc... Other details: I currently own a 1080p 144Hz 27inch monitor and an ultra-wide Alienware 34inch AW4323DW-F which is my main display for Blender on my Macbook, I would like to make use of this monitor to the best of its ability. I also already have a headset, mouse and keyboard, so all I need is a PC. I had an old PC which I played countless hours of Star Citizen and other less demanding games on it. I have now moved to Canada and wanting to build a windows based PC from scratch. I would like to enhance my Blender render times, as well as learn some UE4 for animation purposes. Real tracing is not a concern, though it may be nice to have but I don't need it anytime soon. I would like to play Star Citizen, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy, as well as some of the amazing upcoming game titles. For the PC I care about upgradability more than future-proofing, and my knowledge (even with research) leaves me very confused as I have predominantly been an Apple person for my workflow. I would really appreciate it if people can advice me on what items to buy first and what works best for the programs and games I want. The only musts are 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM as a minimum. RGB is not important, but it would be nice to be able to change the lighting to match the overall mood in the room. Thank you in advance and feel free to ask for more details if I didn't give enough info. Picture of current setup below

Budget (including currency): $500-$700 OR $1000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTAV, Sims 4 (with most expansion packs and about 50 mods), Stray, COD, Harry Potter, Portal and any indie game I can get my hands on Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I've decided that I'm going to build a gaming pc as a birthday present for myself in April. I've been doing some light research and pricing and initially wanted to make the best gaming rig i could for roughly 1k, but decided that for my needs I could possibly get by spending less money. The budget is only for the pc and doesn't include peripherals. I'm currently using an Asus laptop that I bought about 3-4 years ago. I'd prefer an AMD build but I'm open to an Intel build. As far as resolution goes, I'm okay with 1080p. I've been tinkering around in pc part picker and these are the builds I've run across that I think would be okay with room to grow but since I'm new to this I don't really know for sure. https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/DWv6Mp/entry-level-amd-gaming-build https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/wsQzK8/entry-level-intel-gaming-build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NsmjVw My laptop has a AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz, 8gb ram, and 256gb ssd. RGB is important to me, and I'd prefer a white case Budget has wiggle room because I can get some of the parts like the ram, cpu, wireless adapter at a decent discount (nothing crazy good though) so +/-$100 but I'd prefer to be as conservative as possible. Thanks for the help.

Hi everyone, I just finished building my new audio pc. Unfortunately, i have encountered tons of issues with it, at first I thought it was becasue of my sample rate and also the quality of audio which was 4800khz but decided to unplug my audio interface and connect straight to the monitor with the hdmi cable, and im still seeing dpc spikes so now im sure its not the audio monitor or software since this spikes happen with youtube and without playing any audio. The build is as follows : i7 12700k asus z690-f corsaire vengace ddr5 5200 32gb wd sn850x m.2 nvme 2tb crucial m.2 sata in the port m_4 of the motherboard 1 970 ssd samsung 1 hdd from an old apple computer. audio interface is Komplete audio 6 km1 by the way running windows 10 on high performance. i used process lasso to put the audiodgx.exe to core sets 0,2,4,6,8...etc and priority high, as well as NKi6.exe to those same cores and priority high.

Budget (including currency): € 1000 or 1.084,35 American dollars Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The witcher 3, warframe, high on life, I also want to do a bit of programming, emulating, horizon series, red dead series Other details: My part list is as following: An intel arc a770, 16gb of ddr4 ram, 1tb ssd storage, (for the ram and the storage idk much about all the stuff), I want to game at 1440p at a minimum of 100hz refresh rate. (I don't know if this is possible but my old prebuild pc from 6 years ago doesn't have built in microphone and bluethooth, so when i put my hackphones in with wires it does give me audio but it doesn't record my voice. So basically I want bluethooth (not particullary neccesary but nice to have) and somehting that can record my voice. As I mentioned, I am planning to build a gaming pc but I don't have any experience in building an pc or buying the parts. I also find alot of stuff just kinda confusing. Thanks in advance!

To be mentioned, I can only purchase the components from my local stores. That means I don't really have a lot of options when it comes to choosing some components. The site I will buy the components is this one: Componente PC la prețuri avantajoase în Moldova > DARWIN. I need help from you guys to tell me the best configuration possible on this budget and using local options. The config I came with is this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DDCkPX. Thanks in advance! P.S I don't need a SSD since I already have one. That is also the case for a Monitor and peripherals.

Hello, i am upgrading my pc and i am having problems, because i don´t know anything about pc´s apart from the general aspects. So my main problem is that i don´t have a dedicated GPU i have one integrated in the CPU and well, is absolutely trash for gaming, i finally have money so i decided to finally make an upgrade to my old pc and buying and integrated GPU, my current CPU is a I5 3330. I´ve seen a post here about the same topic of mine, but they were recommending the person to buy rx 470 (it also was an old post from 2017) and i don't really wanna buy a second hand GPU, i don't wanna get scammed. So i ask: What (new) GPU should i buy for my I5 3330 in 2022 for less than 125€? Thanks in advance!

Budget (including currency): 2000$ Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: primarily used for games, music recording and mixing, and gen purpose daily driver Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have the Hyte y60 case in black already.. need all else + peripherals. I'm putting together a new build for my sweetie and have been learning a ton lately between LTT, GN, J2C, pauls hardware, unboxed, etc... I'm confident I'll have little issue assembling the rig at this point, but choosing hardware is another story! I'm pretty set on having RGB all over for aesthetic for my honey as its something she would absolutely love. I understand that there's a premium on rgb products, and could spend the extra on more performance, but she will not require the newest and best hardware and would absolutely love a shiny new pc! i have a couple parts lists made up that are virtually identical except for the processor and mobo; https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8PhnFg https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QTtVRv I plan on getting the lcd upgrade for the corsair capellix cooler, or the nzxt kraken.. just for the added lcd screen on the cooler. One of the main issues I could see myself running into would be the cable management and setting up the various rgb elements and controllers to work together. I'll either go with all corsair products or go with signalRgb to mix and match brands of light strips fans and whatever else maybe ran together for aesthetic. I could use any and all advice, tips, tutorials, resources, videos; anything that will help me learn more. Thanks so much!!!

Budget (including currency): < 1000 EUR Country: LT Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Variety of games, ranging from games like World of Warcraft all the way to titles like Old School Runescape, so main goal is to have an all-round well suited PC Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I tried to come up with some kind of a build piece by piece, my main goal is to ask here what are your thoughts about it, whether it's worth it or not. Budget (including currency): >$3800 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: God of War, Cyberpunk 2077, Darktide, etc. Also might use for some graphics/music production. Other details: This build is entirely from scratch and will also be my first ever PC build. I have a few friends who are super into tech, but they're also in wildly different camps about brands/specs. As such, I have two build lists that I've put together with a combination of their recommendations and my limited knowledge/google-fu. As I have no real expertise or applicable knowledge, I don't know which to choose, or even if both are missing the mark. Honestly, budget isn't a major concern as if my decided build is above my current price point, I'll just save up for a little longer. I'm looking for a system that will play the latest games on Ultra and will be moderately future proof. If I can do some music production and/or Blender on the side that's a plus.
