Do all Cheap IPS panels have faint lines over blue, yellow and orange colors on higher Hz? I recently got a cheap LG IPS monitor, the colors are pretty good but it has these annoying vertical lines over the entire screen when i use frequency higher than 50hz, on 75hz it is absolutely, on 60hz it is ok at a distance but at 50hz it pretty much fixes it. These lines are really annoying and can only be noticed on blueish and other light colors like light green, yellow, etc. I have been searching and there is only one forum online talking about this issue (this forum) and some say that it is exclusive to all cheap lg panels, so any brand using cheap lg panels would suffer from it. I have searched for reviews on youtube about the same monitors and other cheap ips around the same price and none of the videos except for 2 videos were people complaining about these vertical lines. One of the videos was an indian guy talking about that and the other was the channel "the techne" talking about a cheap LG IPS monitor. i am really confused by whether it is an inevitable problem that all cheap ips panels will suffer (even if some less or some more) or it is just a defective problem. How come none of the reviews have this issue? is it a defective one? Well, i am planning on exchanging it for another one that is also IPS but i am kinda afraid of buying another panel that has the same issues. I have discovered recently that Samsumg uses PLS panels but, on their official website, they have changed over item description and specs from PLS to IPS, does that mean Samsung is also using IPS panels from LG? I was happy samsung was the only escape to this issue but now they are using cheap ips panels as well? I am not gonna buy a 144hz monitor that pretty much fixes it due to lack of money at the moment, but i pretty sure need to know about these panels and if anyone ever bought or had any problems with any cheap ips panels on the market. Thanks in advance if you read all of this and you will be a lot of help if you can answer any of these questions.

Hello All I am more of a software guy by trade, and my hardware skills are not so good. (its something I have never needed) I am looking to get a new PC monitor for my desk as I was given an XBOX X for Christmas. My current unit is an LG 34UC99-W which has served me well over the past 3 to 4 years. But when the new Xbox X is connected I assume it's not going to run at its full potential for graphics etc. So rather than a new TV, I am looking to get a new monitor. I use the monitor for work, and having a 34" unit is good for work, so if possible I don't want to go down in size. More than happy to go up if needed. (my PC connects via DP - I have a GTX 1070Ti) Now I need to get it from a company in the UK called ao.com as I have a warranty voucher from them it saves me dipping into my savings to buy this new monitor. As mentioned above my knowledge on Monitor hardware is limited, so the link below is to the Monitor section on ao.com and I would welcome feedback on which unit would be a good match for an Xbox while keeping good all-around functionality for when I am working. https://ao.com/l/monitors/1/250-257-258/?mmref=computing%7Cmonitors_projectors%7CMonitors%7C2_4_1 I Don't think I have missed anything, but if I have please comment below and I will reply. Don't really have a budget in mind, so more than happy to look at all options. Many Thanks

Hi, I received a computer I ordered from the internet last weekend. It's a HP Z440 work station here is the specs: CPU: : Intel Xeon E5-1607 v3 (3.10 GHz, 4C/4T, 10 Mo Cache) RAM: 16 Go DDR4 12800 ECC SSD: 240 Go SSD HDD: 2*500 Go 7200 TPM GPU: Nvidia Quadro k2000 2 Go GDDR5 OS: windows 64 bit education edition (it was supposed to have windows 8.1 but found that) The computer didn't come with an internal wifi card, so I was using USB tethering, while it was working the computer freezes completely, couldnt move the mouse or type anything. I searched on the internet and found that the usb tethering might be the problem and a found that there was a driver that i had to change, but even after changing the problem wasnt solved. So I tried removing the usb cable and just use some software I installed (unity, blender), the computer works perfectly but then crashes and shows this error. Please I need help to fix it, I don't even know if it's a problem related to hardware or software.

Hi everyone, thanks to some kind folks here in the forums that provided me with some inspirations I finally was able to build myself a new PC. Except for my old SSD (mostly games) everything in this build is brand new: CPU: i7 12700k GPU: RX 6900 XT MoBo: MSI Z690 Tomahawk SSD (OS): WD_BLACK SN850 2TB NVMe Internal Gaming SSD with Heatsink RAM: 32GB 3600 Corsair VengeanceRGB PSU: Corsair RM 1000X I installed a fresh OS on the new western digital. My 2nd (old) SSD is connected via regular sata cable and mainly serves for storage and games at the moment. Now here is the part that got me confused and where I need your help desperately as I cannot seem to be able to find the root cause: My PC sometimes just completely freezes. The screen is frozen, I cannot move my mouse, no input nothing, basically forcing me to reset the power. This seems to be occurring more when gaming but has also happened just on the desktop with nothing else running. Initially I thought it might be related to my graphics card and to the 6+2pin PCIE cables that I used ( the GPU needs 3 8 pin PCIE connections and in the beginning I used one double PCIE to satisfy two plugs) but since I read somewhere online that that might cause issues I switched to 3 separate PCIE cables. Freezes still happen. Then I checked all the cables again and noticed that the NVMe SSD might not be fully slotted and fixed in position so I adjusted that as well in the hopes that it might have been caused by the SSD. Did also not fix things. Is there any way I could use some kind of diagnostics tool or monitoring in order to identify what might be causing these crashes? Temps are fine btw

So I just started to build my pc and unfortunately I can't figure out the system panel header, I connected it properly to my motherboard but the cable itself is 3 inches and the other end connector 2x5 pin connector with 4 pins missing, I have no clue where to connect this and if I need to get a different system panel header? If you're wondering I have a rog strix b450 gaming 2 motherboard, a nzxt case and a evga 650w modular power supply, I don't know if anyone can help me but if they can, THANK YOU!

Hello, this is my first time posting on this forum because I am completely stumped. My specs are EVGA gtx 1070 sc, R7 2700x, mobo is MSI B450 gaming plus and ram is 2x 8 gb trident x neo @ 3600 cl 16. I recently got purchased a 5600x. I have updated the bios to the latest version and the system boots into windows just fine. Although, every time I try and hit the bios button during boot up, my monitor seemingly goes into sleep mode and it does not give any picture for the bios. I have verified that I have the most current bios with the old CPU. Does anyone know a potential solution?

Has anyone noticed the new YouTube top bar on videos? It looks pretty cool, but I think it might be only for mobile. (Add it to PC maybe?)

This is my first time building a pc and idk much.Im from Bangladesh. My budget is around 1300 usd. Here's all the components I might use https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q3Fvgt I'm not sure about the cabinet, motherboard, storage and monitor. And for the gpu I might just buy a 2nd hand 1660 super but 2nd hand deals are always sussy. Also I'm gonna be buying the components locally so they're a bit cheaper also I can ask them to build it for me idk if they'll charge extra for that but I'm sure as hell not building it myself. Another thing should I buy the ryzen 5 5600g? I know it's more expensive (I'll just buy the gpu a bit later) and the i5 11400 gives 5-15+ more fps in certain games but with ryzen I can oc. Then again do I really need to overclock. I'll be doing 1080p video editing, gfx, vfx, coding, cod warzone, some other games etc. I should get a decent performance. If you have some other suggestions please let me know. Don't forget to check the components I chose. H E L P M E

Budget (including currency): $800~ Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ARMA 3, SCUM, Hell let loose, ect Other details Hello. I have built pc's before, but that was back in 2004. I am way out of the loop on hardware/software. I want to build a PC for the games mentioned above (and most likely some simulators), and I want the best items to run the games at Ultra, but I also don't want to pay for overkill on hardware. I.e.: I don't want the latest and greatest hardware if I don't need it. I want this build to be as cheap as possible. I AM STARTING FROM SCRATCH. I want: -any possibility of playing on a 65" tv?? -at LEAST 16GB ram -SSD drives -A MARBLE MOUSE (!)(is Logitech the only company that still makes these?) -overclocking ability -windows 10 -a monitor and hopefully @1440 resolution (or whatever the gold standard is nowadays) -high cooling capabilat. -sound card wifi/hardwired ethernet card Looks do not matter. I don't care if it's atx or micro atx. Again, I do NOT need the newest stuff. Only the stuff that is juuuuuust good enough to run at max resolution @ at LEAST 60 fps. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. I will stop yelling now. I'm Ron Burgundy?

I am building a budget gaming PC for the first time and of course I decide to do it when crypto mining has taken the market. I need help picking out a graphics card that is preferably around $400 and that can run popular games at at least some decent settings. I have a 3rd gen Ryzen 5 3600, B550 motherboard, 550 watt power supply. Any help with picking out a graphics card and where I should get one would be appreciated. I know i could try my luck with Best Buy etc but I don’t have the time to consistently check, and I’m trying not to get super ripped off and also scammed with a fake
