Has anyone else noticed how truly awful HDR content looks on Netflix. Just watch anything with dark scenes and you'll see black level raised quite high when it should be dark along with over saturated colour so saturated that it's ether red, green or blue. It seems that I'm not alone here and that Sony TV owners are experiencing the same issues, even with very high end TV's. https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/android-tv/awful-hdr-quality-in-netflix/td-p/2306850 Some folks say that turning on subtitles with yellow background fixed this (Not sure how). I have the last low budget LG TV that has 3D. (In fact I have 2 of them, a 65" and a 49" model) As I'm a fan of 3D movies. I'm very discussed that 3D was pushed out of the way for Crap-Picture-O-Vision. The solution I have to fix this is to use an Nvidia Shield and run Netflix on that. I should also add that UHD BD material does not have this problem, but I'm not sure if the TV is supposed to bring up the Dolby Vision logo on screen or if the BD player deals with that and just sends 10bit video to the set up the HDMI cable.

I have recently installed lineageos on my lenovo yoga tab 3 plus. With the stock rom I was able tonget fhd netflix. But know with the root and lineageos I cant. Is there any way to get this back?

"Sorry for my English :)" So my phone is going fucking nuts and I think it is a virus but I don't know so my phone randomly open's some Google voice recorder when I am watching YouTube or netflix or anything else often it also chandes volume stops my music, video, movie etc and play it again I don't know what is it and it's not very comfortable when your phone just in middle of a night starts recording it all started maybe 3-5 days before that I was bored so I registered to netflix for free and started watching some realy good serials (I had netflix account before but I didn't use it much so I delete it) and want to continue watch in my bed on phone but when I searched netflix in play store nothing was there so I searched on Google and realized that my device was not kompatible so after I tried some metodes that don't work on how to bypass it I just searched a version of netflix for my android (6.0.1) and download it from some website and about a day later the things started but my phone is realy buggy and not that great and I had some issues with youtube before so I don't know can somebody help me ?

Quick question: is anyone able to view Netlix in 4K res on a ryzen apu? The internet sais that it should work but it does not.

When watching Netflix, I'm getting system wide stuttering. Not internet lag, but actual stuttering across my system. Only Netflix seems to have this problem. My hardware video decode only sits at ~10% and the CPU usage of chrome sits at ~5%. TBH, there isn't anything concerning about my hardware usage. Specs: 32 gigs of RAM Ryzen 1700 at 3.8 GTX 1070 I can't really think of any other details to provide as it doesn't matter what I'm doing as the issue only pops up when watching something on Netflix. Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is groundbreaking, or if anyone cares about this, but I figured I would put my hypothesis out there. One thing I have noticed is that when you watch something like the Office, etc. that isn't a Netflix original, after about 3-ish episodes of not interacting with it, you will get the prompt that everyone talks about that asks if you are still watching or not. However, I have noticed if you watch something such as F is for Family, which is a Netflix original series, I have had multiple occasions where I fall asleep and it completely finishes the series without ever putting up that prompt. My hypothesis is that Netflix wants to boost the views within their own products even though those numbers aren't public knowledge, but for shareholders or aspects of the company. I wanted to know everyone's thoughts about this.

I'm looking to move from my current VPN (ExpressVPN) to another.. which one I still don't really know. So PIA/Private Internet Access came to my mind from all LMG videos. Does anyone who tried it know if it is 100% compatible with US Netflix (which blocks many vpn services) AND if it can be easily used from ios/android devices? ExpressVPN has a super handy app for that, what about PIA? ExpressVPN is really good on everything but it's way more expensive so.. I need an alternative

Hello! First off I would like to state that my ISP is completely awful so there is that. The problem I am having is that I am unable to get to certain websites. Most websites work fine it just so happens to be a select few that won't work. I immediately thought this to be DNS issues. I have changed my DNS servers multiple times, flushed the DNS settings and I am still unable to connect. For the example I will use netflix.com I type netflix.com into my browser and...absolutely nothing. twitch.tv it loads but takes over 3-4 minutes to load in the website and sometimes it is unable to even do that. Other sites like google and youtube work perfectly fine though. Below is a tracert to netflix.com. You will see that it times out after hitting a few different servers. If I ping it shows 100% Packet loss as well. Is this a DNS issue? An IP issue? Is this something I can resolve or even try? Like I said I have tried multiple DNS and none have worked. Hi, I have some spare parts from my old PC that I'd like to put to use in a media PC that I connect to my flatscreen in the living room and control it with a wireless keyboard+mouse for example. 1. About a week or two ago, netflix and amazon instant started to lag my computer, its most noticeable when using the mouse, it constantly stutters and feels like the dpi has been turned all the way down. The playback of the video itself even lags. The odd thing is though, with netflix, i dont even need to be playing anything for the lag to occur, just being on the website causes it. Ive tried using different browsers, using the app, updating drivers, going back to old drivers, doing fresh installs. Turned hardware acceleration off. I dont know what else to try, ive seen some other post on the net with somewhat of the same problem but none of them has solutions. Does anyone possibly have any ideas how to fix this. Running an i7700k and gtx 1070

hello sometimes when i watch something on Netflix or Amazon Prime (using my Roku), the sound is choppy or goes in & out for example, if the line is "roses are red, violets are blue" what i hear is "ro--- --- red, v------ are --ue" what causes this? also, i don't have this problem watching Hulu hmmmm...

So for some reason, whenever I have Netflix open, it causes my computer to stutter every 1 second. My mouse stutters every 1 second, I tested having a game open and my frames drop every 1 second, and even the rgb to my keyboard stutters every 1 second. I guess its important to note that recently I uninstalled my old hard drive and switched to ssd and I have been having problems with frames in my games.when I am watching a show on netflix, after awhile the video and audio fall out of sync. its also important to note I have everything else closed out and my internet speed is very good. My gpu drivers are also up to date. Im not really sure what the issue could be but any help would be appreciated!

This stuttering, which also happens outside of game has been a pretty big issue for me. I also have an issue with windows on my toolbar, and with this problem to contend with as well, I'm thinking of reinstalling Windows. I have changed out my CPU cooler and also set my second monitor to run off my Intel graphics. That has helped when it comes to my temps and benchmark scores, but the stuttering is still a problem. I have 144 Hz and 60 Hz monitors. Some people have recommended changing the refresh rate so that the higher number is divisible by the lower (120 and 60). That has not helped. I still stutter. A friend with a similar build has no problems whatsoever, and he is perplexed on how to solve the issue. Below is the benchmark I took. I want 50 users to remote into a server to watch Netflix and YouTube. The users will have a 1.5MB DSL connection, while the server has a 1GB or more connection. I was thinking about doing this with hyper-V session hosting but I don't know if that is the most cost efficient or not. I don't know if adding GPU's to the server would help, I chose session hosting over remote desktop because I can assign parts of a GPU to each user. I don't know what kind of hardware I need in this server, or how it will work, any help is appreciated???

so i ran in this weird bug. when opening netflix via the browser(chrome) my pc start to lag. not only the movie that's playing but the entire pc. when i move my mouse it goes in like 5fps. now normaly this means there is to much load on the cpu or ram. but this is all fine and not even above 50%. and i'm sure it is netflix because directly after closing netflix the laging is over. so i'm really wondering what is causing this.

So I live in the United Kingdom, but really want to watch Netflix series such as Criminal Minds, which are only available in the US. Now I'm aware that Netflix has a VPN service blocker, but I was wondering if there were a way I could set up a VPN on a raspberry pi that points to an IP address in the US? Summary Netflix has made 10 movies and tv shows available for free. You dont even need an account to watch the content. The entirety of the movie will be available. However, only the first episode of the tv shows are available. A 30 second skippable ad will be played before each new title; from what I can see, the ads are for other netflix content. This is not the first time that Netflix has experimented with free content, in the past they have made some documentaries and series available on YouTube along with random movies and series being free for short periods of time or in select locations. This time, it appears to be much more widespread and permanently available. They can be viewed on any pc or android browser, ios is not supported. I have gotten safari on iPados to work though. As you can read by the title, my netflix is acting wierd. I can connect to it from my main pc but i cant connect from any other devices that are connected to the same network. The error code is NW-2-5, meaning that something is blocking netflix from accesing its servers. I didnt block the netflix site on my router neither did i call my internet provider to block it, and to talk to netflix is a pain in the ass. I came here hoping to find an answer. PLS HELP

So, i've "upgraded" from a Vega 56 that was bios flashed to unlock some performance, up to a Palit 2070 super because of some massive microstuttering and audio artifacts that has haunted me for years. In doing so, all my audio issues that i've been tracking with latency monitors for over two years have gone, but now i have a problem i simply can't figure out. Whilst switching to a 2070 super i did a frest windows install with only my m.2 ssd plugged in. I am on windows 10 2004: 19041.388 Geforce driver 451.67 The browser i am using for netflix is Chrome. The problem is as follows: When i am trying to find something to watch, the menu is SUPER slow, and i can notice it's slowing down my entire computer. Mouse is stuttering around the screen, even stuttering for a little while after i move it to the second monitor. I have tried to replicate this in internet explorer, it is MUCH better but it's still there. Does anyone have a good idéa of what to do BESIDES using another browser? There must be something with the geforce driver since this issue was not present with amd. Edit: I have tried deleting cache in chrome, no dice. This is ONLY happening with netflix, youtube and "homework" does not have issues like this.

Hi guys, I srsly think this problem should have been solved years ago, but here we are: If you search the symptoms you will find multiple topics (even in this forum), that are regarding the same issue. (Even early 2017, 2016) My PC: Gigabyte 1070TI, 4790k, 16gb ddr3, MSI 790FXGD70, 750PSU. Setup: 3 Monitors: GSYNC 1440p@144hz, 2x1080p@60Hz The problem: Whenever I start a Netflix stream, Amazon video or Spotify song, the PC consistently starts to stutter at a constant rate. (every 1-3s, depending on which monitors are active and if multiple videos are open.) This can be felt e.g. by moving the mouse or watching an animation. For all 3 apps this happens with chrome and canary, as well as for Netflix and Amazon with firefox. This issue has been present on my PC for over a year, so multiple versions of all programs and drivers have been testet. Windows was also reinstalled and graphics drivers deep removed. If none of the mentioned apps are open the PC runs like hot butter, no issues in any other application. Using only 1 Monitor only changes the rate of the stutter. Changing the GPU clock does not alleviate the problem, closing AUROS also doesn't. Changing VSYNC/GSYNC settings in Control Panel does not help. Changing 144Hz to 60Hz didn't help. NVIDIA promised a fix on more than one occasion, but they either can't manage it or refuse to do so. I can provide videos, gifs and more information about the problem. Is there any way we can find the root of this problem? Did I miss anything? Can we get NVIDIA to do something or help them fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Acrosicious
