Hello guys I'm upgrading from a fairly old - bad gaming build that I built 2 years ago on a budget. The build included a G3258 and R9 270 and it was fairly weak, significantly weak. I'm upgrading to this : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LKgfd6 I chose RX 480 with freesync since I've seen good stuff about it and people here have also recommended it. In the build I have the case and storage but how do you feel about it? I think it's pretty good. Open to suggestions!

Hi Guys, I'm interested in recommendations for a desktop PC build for multimedia use so that I am able to get the most out of it in terms of the best speeds for rendering of multimedia/system processes as well as visual quality and storage. I would be grateful for your assistance. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I hope this is the right section for this type of requests. I'm on the market for a 32" monitor. Ideally I need something with a good picture quality (IPS?) since I would be using it to watch movies for the most part. For this reason I need something with integrated speakers(this is very important, I NEED it to have pretty good speakers). Since movie watching is its purpose and my graphics card is pretty old 1080p is enough resolution for me and I need to have at least two HDMI inputs (one for the PC and another one for my chromecast). Price under 400€ would be perfect, but I'm prepared to go up to 500 if necessary. I'm keeping an eye on these ones, but I'm really afraid I'm going to have crappy audio... http://www.amazon.it/Samsung-LS32E590CS-EN-S32E590C-Monitor/dp/B00TF0XTVS/ (this one is winning right now) http://www.amazon.it/HP-ENVY-Argento-Bianco-UltraWide/dp/B018U1TU1U (close second but overbudget) http://www.amazon.it/Acer-B326HULYMIIDPHZ-Monitor-Risoluzione-2560/dp/B00IVF48I6/ keep in mind that right now I'm using this TV for my monitor and the audio of this is fine for me so something similar quality would be fine. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm in the market for a new Gaming/Multimedia Headset. I want to upgrade from my current headset (Astro A40). The two that I've narrowed down to are: 1. AKG 612 Pro 2. Beyerdynamic DT-990-Pro-250 The games I mostly play are CSGO, and some casual games like Battelfront and Farcry. I also enjoy watching my movies with a headset on so that is important to me also. I've heard nothing but positive experiences from both headphones. The only thing that I get confused with is the audio jargon a lot of people use like Sound stage, Analytical, warm, and laid back. The Beyerdynamics are $40 more on amazon right now so is it worth the extra cash for it? Let me know what you guys think and thanks for all the advice.

Hey guys, I'm been planning on doing my first PC build and I have look the parts since October, I started with a z97 build but getting to know that i won't upgrade my build in a while (2-3 years) unless something gets damaged I started to think in a Skylake system, I wanted to know if all the components I have are reasonable good to your knowledge. Im not very good at this, but this is my build: Overclockable and a non-overclockable 1.) I've told that the PSU is not so good, can you give a good psu (doesn't matter if its EVGA or not) 2.) I was thinking on purchasing a SSD v300 cuz of the price but if it less than 80$ give me suggestions please(there is a m.2 on the list but maybe change it depending on the prices) 3.) I have a Asus VA Panel on that set but I'm not so sure about it cuz of the 28" wide of it, I'm more comfortable on 25", either I'm not so sure I haven't tested those dimensions, my laptop only has a 15.6" I will much appreciate your help on this one, if you suggest another thing to change and in that same price I'm willing to change it. I don't want to spend more than $1,300 on this build... Thanks.

Hey Linus and community! So I'm working on what started as an HTPC, but has since evolved into my own pet project Hobbie and I'm looking for unique 5.25 bay devices. I have found a few but other than the typical fan controllers and media card readers they're rather hard to find. I would like to find something unique yet useful, so none of that gimmicky stuff like cigarette lighter/cup holder, or storage drawers etc.. If possible would like to find something along the lines of htpc media controllers, recording interfaces, or really anything that could be used frequently with a decided purpose. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

So I was thinking of upgrading my desktop this summer with 8 GB ram, a new 250 GB Samsung 850 EVO SSd and another 2 TB Seagate HDD. The ram because the 8 GBs that I allready have isn't enough for my multitasking needs, the SSD because my 120 GB SSD is almost full and to utilize it more I need something bigger to get all my games and programs over in the fast lane and finally I need another HDD for raw storage as my 2 TB drive from Seagate is almost full, and I need some more storage. What do you think? And is summer a good time to buy electronics?

Hello fellows, I am looking for a new laptop which can handle multimedia projects with Photoshop and Blender etc easily. I also play a lot Counter-Strike:Global Offensive and League of Legends sometimes so I need some good GPU too. I already own a desktop PC which is powerful so I don't wanna buy a laptop what I have to keep plugged in to a wall all the time. So the battery should be as good as possible. Bad thing is that with good specs, battery drains faster. So what I actually want is a good specs owning laptop with a good battery for about 1000 euros/dollars. Of course less is always better. (I prefer intel and it does not have to be 4-core, 2 cores drain less battery and I don't multitask so much that I necessarily need 4 cores.) Thank you for your time and thoughts!

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a new Pc I am a gamer and bo not Farmville lol I also watch a lot of movies, downloading movies, games, music etch... my budget is 2000 to 2500 maybe a little more.I at this point don't know where to start and whether I want a laptop, desktop or a all in one if companies even make gaming aio besides Msi. I have seen some very nice big monitors. I want a big display with a good panel for gaming and watching movies. I will use this pc for my main way of watching tv as I do use xbmc. My vision is not so good so I cant watch my existing 52 inch tv. I do have a Lenovo Y50 laptop that can handle my pc games but the panel is horrible and it lags on games such as dying light. I also want a touch screen esp with a laptop. Can you all please help me I would so appreciate it. I love tech so much and love watching reviews on all the new items. I don't need a name brand as I feel we sometimes pay for the name Im more concerned on whats under the hood.

I've been wanting to get a pair of stylish, yet good speakers for a while now. Mainly because I'm tired of being bound by a cord, when watching a movie with my headphones, but also to relieve my head of the clamping. Requirements wise, I just want them to be small, compact, and preferably 2.0. And of course, like every speaker, you'd want them to sound good/decent. This is what I've looked at so far: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LaCie-Speakers-Design-Neil-Poulton/dp/B001FA0FZE http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00544XKK4/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d9_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0EZKVY18A3ZANP2XNR76&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Inspire-T10-Multimedia-Speakers/dp/B000WQIKJ0/ref=lp_429889031_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552112&sr=1-15 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-A60-2-0-Desktop-Speakers/dp/B003829J68/ref=sr_1_79?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552203&sr=1-79 http://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-A100-USB-Powered-Computer-Speakers/dp/B00GHY5F3K/ref=sr_1_83?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552203&sr=1-83 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edifier-Sound-Plus-Portable-Speaker/dp/B00812MKU2/ref=sr_1_120?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552232&sr=1-120 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-Remo-USB-2-0-Speaker/dp/B005625WR8/ref=sr_1_149?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552315&sr=1-149

Hi, After a rather long time of my mother using absolutely miserable and slow Medion pc from a german discounter, I was able to convince my Parents to give me a budget of about 850€ to construct a PC for her to use. This would be my first build so I would be very happy for some input on parts. The price needs to include a version of Windows. I am not sure which version, probably tending toward Windows 7. This build here looked good price and performance wise. I was wondering if one could maybe change some "aesthetic parts" to squeeze more performance out of the money. The games that could be played don't need to be amazing quality but should run on it. As a side note I live in Germany so the parts would need to be ordered there. Thank you very much for helping me deal with my incompetence and get a proper computer to my family.

Greetings all! I am building a machine for multimedia design, e.g. ALL Adobe applications, Maya, Boujou, etc.. This is not my first build but I usually choose parts based on compatablity and reviews rather than their intended use. That is what brings me here. Requesting: Advice on the MB, CPU, RAM and GPU Recycled: Case, 6Gb/s Drives, Peripherals, OS, PSU (630W, will buy new if needed) Budget: $800 for MB, CPU, RAM and GPU Use: I'm looking for optimal render and preview time during video and motion graphics work. ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model MSI N460GTX Cyclone 768D5/OC GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Thanks!

Hi there, I'm new here at the forums and quite new to PC building. I would like to build a PC for various tasks, including multimedia editing, CAD and gaming, not at professional level though and gaming not really at Ultra 60+ fps (just one 1080p monitor). I also would like to try an AMD-based build. Location: Mexico, DF Budget: $15000 - $16000 MXN (something like $1150 - $1250 USD) Programs: Adobe apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc), Corel, AutoCAD Games: World of Warcraft, Battlefield, Crysis, Titanfall, Assassin's Creed, Mortal Kombat What I have considered is: CPU: AMD FX 8320 @ 3.5 GHz GPU: R9 280x 3GB GDDR5 (see below) Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz CORSAIR VENGEANCE (x2) Case: Corsair Carbide Series 300R CC-9011014-WW Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Extreme Power 2 625W Now, real questions are for the GPU, Mother Board and cooling. The GPU manufacturers I've seen is Gigabyte, Asus, Sapphire and XFX. Some say Asus is the best one, some other that Gigabyte is the way to go, and in general I've been told to stay away from Sapphire. Which one should I choose then? For the MoBo, I have read the CPU should be OC, but I'm not sure which MoBos can do this (or if it's even necesary). The suggested one is the ASUS AMD M5A99X EVO AM3+, but I'm not quite sure if it's ok, so any other recomendations are welcome. Also, will air cooling be enough? What cooling options would you recomend? Thanks for your attention.

How can I use the email key on my Ducky Shine 3 for launching notepad, for example, or a media player? Since I don't use outlook or any other email software I have no use for this key, but I do use notepad very often and I'd like to launch it from the email key.
