Wanting to upgrade my monitor. Never had an ultrawide and I'm torn on these two. Any advice or suggestions? I know the LG one has HDR but the MSI one doesn't. Recently built another computer and im having trouble getting xmp to work. Im using a msi b550m pro vdh mobo and my 4000mhz ddr4 ram is only showing 2400 in cmd, cpu-z, and task manager. Although on the bios it says its 4000 and xmp is enabled. What should i do? Am i just stupid it only hits 4000 while gaming or something?

Hello guys, I'm a bit new regarding this, and I am rather worried as I've seen my 7950x3D on MSI Carbon X670e show some weird numbers on the temps on Max of CPU Die (average) [°C] can go as high as 127 C and Max of CPU VDDCR_SOC Voltage (SVI3 TFN) [V] can go as high as 2.6v. I've logged the number on HWinfo and attached my screenshots here. I am currently using the latest BIOS from MSI the one with 1.0.0.8 AGESA. Cooler: Noctua NHD15 in Lian Li Case with 6 140 mm fans in front and top And my setting for PBO on BIOS is like this: Curve Negative per core 25 (all of it) Enabled CPU boost +200Mhz Thermal throttle 85 c The rest is auto And I use HyperX Fury beast 6000 Mhz expo. Should I be worried about these numbers, as you guys know there are some issues with CPU melting on X3D. Need guidance from Senpais if there are some settings that I need to change.

I have been struggling with my PC for a few hours and thought this is the best place to make a post. I attempted to start my PC today and my PC was running extremely slow so I waited for a bit and eventually shutdown after not seeing any improvement in general performance, later I attempted to start again and I'm stuck on post the PC completely freezes (I cannot open BIOS from here) and does not continue the "VGA" EZ debug LED does turn on for a few seconds if that is relevant and I can access BIOS by holding the start button for 5 seconds so I believe my GPU in giving propper output. Could this be a corrupted windows install or is there an issue I'm overlooking (I am not overclocking any components) --Specs-- MSI mag B365M mortar Intel core i5 - 9th gen 2 x 8gb corsair vengeance Asus GTX 1650 OC edition --boot drive-- WD M.2 SSD - 250GB

I was helping a friend install a new ssd in her MSI gs65 laptop and while putting it all back together I knocked the connector for the trackpad off the motherboard. For now I closed it all up and she is useing it with a mouse, but I would like to fix it if possible. I have basic experience soldering, but a couple of the pads seem to have come off the motherboard with the connector, how would I go about fixing this? Any help is appreciated, and if there is a better place to post let me know

My laptop is not powering on I took it in for repairs was told there was nothing wrong with it and it was fine. Got it home it worked for a day and the same so took it in again same response same result worked for a day so it's gone back. Has anyone else had this problem and did it get resolved. So I've connected my Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX to my MSI A1000G PCIe5 power supply in my new build and so far it has worked great (except some issues in GTA V, but I suspect that's an issue with GTA V). I used the two PCIe (8 PIN to 6+2 PIN) cables (blue box) for my 7900. The Sapphire Nitro+ has a 3 x 8 PIN power connection, and with my 2 cables I had to leave 1 of my 6+2 ends unplugged. Some information from MSI says for a 3 port VGA type I should be using an 8 PIN and a +12VHPWR, although I suspect this is just for the NVIDIA 40 series. My options, which should I go with?: 1) Leave it the way it is with a spare 6+2 cable unplugged. Some other posts on the LTT forum say that 2 cables for 3 ports is perfectly fine 2) Use the PCIe (16 pin +12VHPWR to 6+2 PIN) cable (red box) as well as a PCIe (8 PIN to 6+2 PIN) (blue box). This still leaves me with a 6+2 cable unplugged 3) Use a PCIe (8 PIN to 6+2 PIN) and plug in both ends, and purchase a single-single PCIe (8 PIN to 6+2 PIN) 4) Purchase 3x PCIe (8 PIN to 6+2 PIN) cables that are single-single and plug those in Which is best?

My system: - MSI z170a Gaming M5 - i7 6700k - Corsair H100i - 2x8GB RAm DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX - Corsair PSU RMi 650 w Gold. - RX 6650 XT 8GB Last week my 7 years old rig froze while gaming for the first time. Coincidentally, I upgraded my GPU 3 weeks ago, which brought me some trouble but I managed to had it all, apparently, working stably for over 2 weeks. While I initially thought it could be GPU related, I later discovered it was RAM related (reseating them helped to make it boot). Yet a memtest passed with no errors whatsoever. Also, I tried clearing the CMOS, disconnecting all sata and m2 devices, even a new PSU. Now it turns out PC will no longer boot with 2 sticks of RAM in slot #2 and #4, and error code "00-4C-55-0d-30" shows up on the debug led. However, one stick works on slot #2, and even two on slots #1 and #2, but slots #3 and #4 won't. All old threads on the internet I am retrieving regarding the same debug error indicate it's a memory issue due to bent pins. But I am unable to see any on my socket. I attached some photos of my socket pins and the mobo's backside. Looks fine to me. Did I miss anything? What else would you suggest me to try? Thank you in advance. I have the MSI A850GF, still under warranty. The connector at the back is having some bad contact. The cable fits firmly, but once a day / couple days my pc turns off because of it. When it happens, if I play a bit with the cable the pc will turn on without me pressing power. I'm not using the cable that came with it, (different outlet format, no adapters) but I have 2 cheap alternative cables. 10A, 0.75mm. It happens the same to both. My question: Is there anything else I should do? I really don't want to RMA since I'll probably be without my work pc for at least a couple weeks. Do I buy yet another cable? Isn't there something else I can try for the bad contact? My pc is still usable like this for now but I'm thinking this might give me trouble later, like data loss.

Hello, I'm really desperate, so I hope someone here can help me. I recently bought a new PC with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi Zotac RTX 4070Ti 2x Corsair Vengeance 6000MT/s CL30 AMD EXPO Corsair RMx Shift 750W For the first week I've used my old Samsung 860 EVO as boot drive and everything worked great. I've now switched to a Samsung 980 Pro and the problems started. My system is stuttering, the whole time. Stuttering/Lagging starts ~1 Minute after booting and does not stop. I thought it was my M2 drive, so I swapped it for a Crucial P5 Plus, but the lagging still occurs. Here is what I can observe: visible FPS drops (165Hz Monitor) but it feels like <30FPS audio is stuttering (but when I'm in discord other people can understand me well with no issues) when it's stuttering my CrystalDiskMark score is worse (read no stutter: ~6800 MB/s vs. read with stutter: ~2800 MB/s) What I've tried so far to solve this issue: BIOS Update (used different BIOS Versions) Chipset driver Update (different Versions) used a different M2 SSD (Crucial P5 Plus) with the 980 pro I used Samsung Magician for firmware updates and also had similar results in the benchmark like CrystalDiskMark used different RAM configurations (1 stick, 2 sticks) EXPO enabled/disabled Memory context restore enabled/disabled tried out different M2 slots driver update tried windows 10 and 11, but no difference, stuttering still occurs clear windows install fTPM enabled/disabled booting only with iGPU checked Display settings (it's 165Hz and also appears at 120/144/...) So as you can see I've tried a bit and I'm really frustrated, since I haven't found anything yet. Is there any tips you may have? How could I identify which component is the problem? Is it the motherboard maybe? It's a really confusing error since it still works perfect with my SATA SSD ... If you need any further information, I'll share it

I tried to do a bios update from the website and it crashed and now won't boot I've tried taking the bios battery out and the jumper cables and still nothing, I dunno what else to do Please gimme some advice

Hello, I just upgraded from a 2600x to a 5800x Amd Ryzen Cpu. I seem to hit 90 degree quite quick when playing regular games and it going over 80 at 40% load. I have tried to configure the bios a little but with no guidance I am having an issue. The 7800x lowest temp is 34 that I have been able to achieve. at idle anything from 34-40 with the Watt being at 30 - 40 watts. Loading up different games, and even playing the load varies from 30 - 50% giving the temp at 83 degrees. which seems a little to high for me? I know the highest run temp at this cpu is 90 but it still seems so odd. I just got the MSI MAG CoreLiquid 360R V2 water cooler for the CPU because I got the new cpu yesterday when writing this. The 360R V2 gives me a top temps at 43 with the 2600x with a load of 100%. and lowest temps at 23 degree. I hope you guys understand my "consern" Is there anyone with bios settings that I could "copy"? Svive Luna X750 W Midi Tower (6x total intake fans and 1x exhaust) Gainward RTX 2080 8gb Triplefan AMD Ryzen 7 5800x Corsair cx750m, 750w PSU Asus RogStrix B450F-Gaming Intel 660p 512GB M.2 SSD Corsair Vengance 2x8 2666mhz The thermal paste i've been using is Corsair XTM50 This pc is technically from late 2018, beginning to get old, I also have some extra storage. Hi, new build here. I used an MSI B650 Carbon Wifi motherboard. It has the Dragon logo in the top left corner that I can't get to light up. It was working, and then I cleaned up the wiring in the back of the case and now it doesn't work. I don't think it's related though because there is no wiring required for the rgb logo? It's the only thing not working and I'm stumped. Hopefully somebody else has run into this... Thank you!

Ok so I have been trying to troubleshoot this MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard and nothing has worked. I got it about 3 weeks ago and since the day I got it, it has given me problems. Well only one to be exact, it shows a red CPU debug LED on the board and I checked the compatibility list on MSI's website and it says the board should work with a Ryzen 7 1700, I have tried everything...tested without the GPU and that didn't work, I tried different ram sticks in different slots on the board to no avail, tried clearing the CMOS and that also did nothing, checked for potential bent pins on the CPU and as expected the CPU is fine, tried a different CMOS battery which also didn't work, tried putting the GPU in a different PCI-E slot on the board and that didn't work either. I would like to mention that I got into the bios ONCE for like 15 maybe 20 seconds before the screen blacked out again, after that I couldn't access the bios again. So at this point I am clueless as to what the issue could be, I did buy the board second hand and I did ask the guy to send me a video of the board working and he did. He has a Ryzen 5 2400G in his system and it worked fine with the board, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi All! Complete newbie here. So I wanted to build my first PC, did my research on pcpartpicker and already ordered everything yesterday. Now I wanted to read the manuals ahead of time so that I would have all the knowledge I need when building. So I first started with the motherboard looked for the model webpage (MSI MPG B760I EDGE) on msi and while being there, I opend the compatibility tab. Now under "memory", I wanted to look for the model that I ordered which is "Corsair Vengeance (2 x 16 GB)", but I didn't find it based on the model number, which in pcpartpicker is labeled under "Part #". (CMK32GX5M2B5200C40) So i'm wondering, how come this is the case even though pcpartpicker showd no compatibility issues? and is this actually a problem, or can I still continue using this model and hope for the best when building? -
I have a MSI G271 monitor and when I adjust the hz to anything above 120, the bottom 20 or so pixels will begin flickering. By flickering, I mean they're unresponsive and delayed when something is meant to be displayed on them. I am using an rtx 3060 ti founders edition graphics card if that helps and I have tried switching to two different hdmi cables with no fix. -
I bought an MSI a520-a pro couple days ago, i put it inside case, installed cpu, etc.. Installed my wifi card, installed the drivers for wifi card, and the wifi card usually has a red led that lights up the wifi symbol on the card, but nothing, i did all i could to try to fix, but nothing, so i sent it back to amazon and bought a b450 pro-vdh max which arrived yesterday, this time the motherboard detects the bluetooth and the bluetooth works fine now, but still no wifi. I have no idea what is wrong. in board explorer, it shows the slot that the wifi card is in "pci_e3" as empty. I've updated the bios to lated and everything -
Hi I bought a rtx 3080 sea hawk hybrid GPU used. Was working fine temps were good then the next day suddenly it's at 50 ° c at iddle at goes right up to 93 within seconds under load. I can hear the pump switching on and the fans spin normally Is an air bubble trapped somewhere maybe how could I fix this ? Thanks

I've been told by a lot of people slightly into tech that ASUS has a lot of problems. And that MSI is the way to go. However looking at product reviews the ASUS board I was looking at had way better reviews then the MSI board. The ASUS board in question: ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi The MSI board in question: MSI MPG B650 Carbon WiFi Gaming I'm open to suggestions outside these two but I want a well known brand, and similar specs. (WiFi, DDR5, AM5, RGB, ect.) Something important to me too is ease of setup. So a nice BIOS and stuff like that. Thanks in advance fellow nerds!

Hello, 3 days i ago i changed my old motherboard to an msi 760gm-p23 fx. I added my AMD FX 6300 and my RX 550, yeah yeah i know, old stuff, but that's all i can affoard. The problem comes when i start up a game, for example gta 5. When the CPU temp sits up to 67°C, the game goes smoothly. But as soon as the CPU temp goes to 68°C, it automatically goes to 206°C, throttling the performance and making the games run at 16 fps. Worst thing about it is that it does not stop until i reboot. I can close the game, keep my pc on the desktop so it cools down, but if i reopen the game it will still measure 206. This has never been an issue with my old motherboard. Now, of course this is an error in measuring the temperature, otherwise my pc would catch fire. I have searched the internet and apparently this is a common problem with this MoBo, but i can't find any solution. Is there any way to fix this? Please refrain from telling me to buy a new MoBo, i am broke af, i don't have more money to spend on this stuff. I just paid 47 euros for this one wich is what i make in 2 days of work (that's Italy for you)

Hey, I have a B350 Gaming Plus from MSI and had an issue with it. With a GPU connected in any of the PCI-E Slots, it doesn't give video. The EZ Debug Led indicates that a GPU is not detected or failed. I ended up buying an ASUS TUF B450 because I didn't want to get into the hassle of figuring out if could be fixed. The real question is anyone know if it is possible to use it with a CPU with integrated Graphics? Like a Ryzen 5 5600G? Or any easy way to fix it? I want to sell that motherboard -
Hello, I have a pc with an MSI 4070 Gaming X Trio, Ryzen 9 5900x, ASUS B550 Pro Plus WiFi, 32 gigs of G.Skill TridentZ RAM, an NVME 1 tb SSD, and Windows 11 home as an OS. I just upgraded from a 3060 to a 4070, and whenever I try to run a game like Warzone 2 or Apex or Valorant, my GPU usage won't go above 40%, even though it is not meeting the requirements, but as soon as I use Furmark, it can reach 98-99%? I've tried a lot of different solutions and just cannot find a solution.

Got my 4090 Suprim X about a week ago and used it very little - mostly on Baldur's Gate 3 - but today I noticed a strange rattling sound coming from one of the fans that I can only describe as sounding like.. crickets ? It's hard to describe so here's a video. Is it a faulty unit ? https://youtube.com/shorts/TTgJDpoVJ8Y Don't really know why this is happening, the first clips are just the rattling/weird crickets sound and the final clip shows a "metallic" sound on top of it when I manually ramp the fans up and down. It doesn't seem like much in the video but since my case in right next to me it's pretty noticeable and it gets in your head quickly. Let me know what you guys think, thanks !
