Hello, im ocing my 1060 gaming x 6gb graphics card with msi afterburner and i've applied +80 coreclock and get 92 degrees from the kombuster furmark stress test. The furmark is running all fine but 92 degrees from just 80+ core clock? Shall i keep overclocking until i notice issues with the Fur mark stress test? Suggestions? I'm pretty insecure about this Thought i might listen to you guys until i go any further with this. Thanks guys, you rock. Other components down below. I have the latest versions of Afterburner and RTSS installed, the OSD works just fine in game....except the RivaTuner Statistics Server technology screen will not appear and I do not know how to enable it. I've tried killing the processes and running it again, enabling different settings, restarting my PC, but nothing I have done works. I want to be able to set a framerate limit in the RTSS tech screen to help lessen discrepancies between my frametime and my framerate. Any ideas?

So it happens to me way too often. I download msi afterburner to overclock my graphics card. I leave it stock for gpu clock (1100) and add another 100 mhz on the memory (1600) and make my power limit +20 even though I think it might not be necessary. For the first few days it works fine no problems. After some days though it reverts to dead stock (not even the factory overclock is there) It goes back to 1000 and 1500.So I have to install another overclocking software for some time and it is a headache to do it all the time. I like afterburner because it has good monitoring and great onscreen display with rivaTuner. Everything else I have tried is inferior imo. Any suggestion on how to fix this? Hello guys, So my system is like this Motherboard: Giga Z87X-UD3H Core i7-4770 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-16000 PSU Corsair RM850 1 Gigabyte nVidia GTX 660 (2GB) ---> plug into 1st screen via HDMI and 2nd screen via HDMI 1 MSI AMD R9 390x (8GB) ------------> plug into 2nd screen DVI (for a dummy plug) I am using this set up to mine ethereum as well as to play game. The 390x run 24/7 mining ethereum, the 660 sometime for gaming, sometime for mining. So, mining and gaming work 100% fine, meaning drivers are okay (I guess). The problem is: I have to plug the one of the screens into the 390x via DVI, using it as a dummy. if not, MSI afterburner will not apply the OC profile to this card. I have tried checking and unchecking the "Synchronize setting for similar cards". Both don't do a thing. Please help me brothers

I recently downloaded MSI afterburner to mess with fan speeds on my gpu. I don't plan on over locking anytime soon but just wanted my card to run cooler. My idle temps are 30-33 and my load temps are 70-75 usually. So I was wonder IS IT OKAY TO RUN THE FANS AT 0% ON IDLE? Also is my fan curve good for what I'm going for?

This may sound funny, I'm new to overclocking, while playing bf3 my Gpu temp would stay at 80c, so I set temp limit option on MSI Afterburner to 70c but I notice that it actually lowers the power limit, is this okay, I mean can be bad for my GPU, if it gets less power? Are there any other way to limit performance of Gpu?

hello, this is a really weird issue that i have yet to pinpoint what causes. basically whenever i launch Msi Afterburner there is about a 50% chance that my PC will freeze and require to reboot, but if Msi Afterburner launches successfully it wont have any issues unless i shut it down and launch it again. this issue has happened ever since i built my pc about 4 months ago, ever since then i've formatted my PC numerous times and the issue still occurs. i even had my GPU RMA'd , and they sent me a new one (same model). and it still happens. the only thing i can think of is maybe its a Mobo/Cpu/Ram issue, but they work flawlessly with every other application (Gpu-z, HwMonitor, Sapphire Trixx), i've been forced to use Sapphire Trixx, but i really dont like it, and would rather use Afterburner. i have tried to reinstall Afterburner, install an earlier version, uninstall my GPU drivers using DDU. nothing works. Hey I'm having some issues with MSI Afterburner and AMD Overdrive. So before AMD Crimson came along, I used MSI Afterburner to OC my card. Here is some quick information: Mobo: ASRock 990FX Killer CPU: FX-6350 @ 4.7Ghz PSU: Sentey MBP750-HM 750w GPU: MSI R9 380 GAMING 4GB GPU2: NVIDIA GT 730 (disabled in device manager) (use it for DIRECTV 2 PC because it's the only card that I have that features screen capture protection) Im running the latest AMD drivers as of this post. The stock speed for the card is 980Mhz and while using Afterburner, I would be able to get a stable OC of 1142Mhz with the Voltage slider set to the max. Once AMD Crimson came out and the driver installed on my PC, I probably (can't remember) navigated to the Global Overdrive panel under Gaming => Global Settings => Global Overdrive, and accepted the liability statement from AMD. If I use Afterburner now with the same settings, the core clock will flux between ~800Mhz and 950Mhz. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and settings in hopes that it would cause the liability statement to pop up again, in which case I would decline it to keep Overdrive off, but sadly this was not the case. I'm able to achieve an OC of 1141Mhz in Overdrive, but it is very unstable in certain games (but not all) that were fine before). I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to why this might be happening. Took me a while to address this issue.

i played around with the fan curves in MSI afterburner for my 970 and i have it set so the fans should be at 0 untill it reaches 50C and then they ramp up to cool the GPU down again, but the GPU is at 26C now and idle and the fans are still spinning, in MSI afterburner is says there at 34% and i cant seem to get the lower then that, sure they are pretty quiet but its still the loudest part in my PC right now, PSU is silent, front 80mm fan is pretty silent, CPU cooler is also pretty silent and my HDD is also pretty silent. its not that it bothers me much but i dont get why it dosent go lower, is it just the BIOS screwing me over and not allowing them to go slower or something?

I recently got an MSI GTX 970 and am unable to find a list of cards that MSI Afterburner is compatible with. If anyone has a list of cards it is available with, or at least knows whether or not my card is I would appreciate it. I don't want to download it and then have it cause any problems if it is not compatible.

So my current GPU (GTX 760) runs the games I play on a daily basis fine. But it can't handle newer games. I'm trying to play the Battlefield 1 open beta but my gpu struggles to get to 30 fps on low settings. I plan on doing an overclock. I used to use the MSI gaming app and use "OC mode" as that would work fine but I'm finding that even that causes the display driver to crash after some time. This means I need to increase Core Voltage (I think?). My first question is, should I only be worried about the GPU temps when increasing voltage and clock speed, or is there more to be worried about with GPUs. My current gpu temps don't go much above 70c right now on full load (It's finally nice outside so I have the windows open in my room to keep it cool, it used to be 79F in my room). As long as I try to keep the GPU temps below ~85c, is it safe to increase the voltage? Current GPU voltage on load is 1.2V and TDP doesn't go above 70%. I'm using FurMark to stress the GPU. A more concerning question. I can't get the user define fan speed on afterburner to work. I have a profile setup and it is enabled but the fans won't spin at the speed I have set according to the temperature. It's going the regular speed set by the card (or bios). At 70c it should be spinning at 85% but instead it spins at 42%. You can see in the picture that it spikes occasionally but other than that it won't work. I've tried restarting the computer and I installed the latest graphics drivers. This is the latest version of afterburner too.

I know that it was previously possible to OC a cards from any/ at least a lot of different manufacturer with MSI Afterburner but I have started to see a trend where for example Voltage control was locked with MSI Afterburner when OCing my friends 970. Now I seen the same thing with my 1080 Phoenix. I am limited to the stupid Expert tool from Gainward. i have no complaints about the card itself so far but the software is just very unattractive and also very inneficiently laid out in addition to the fact that it is LAAAGGY A F ... I guess that is what I get for buying a Gainward card. Or is there a way out? do you know of any software that should be able to handle the card the card while not being total carbage functionality wise?

Hello guys,I have got an small problem,MSI Afterburner is not downclocking my GPU while I have YTB/FB in backround or I am watching an YTB video/Facebook video. My GPU artifacts with the stock clocks at 1070mhz on the core and 1600mhz on the vram, and I have played alot of games with the card downclocked at 920mhz on the gpu core clock and 1250 on the vram,I dont really care about the performance loss because I have an G3258@3.8GHZ(3.8GHZ because it uses less V).Any ideas of what should I do?I have tried flashing an modified BIOS but the clock speeds changed only in GPU-Z when I wanted to play an game the clocks went back to stock and I was getting artifacts. And I have delayed MSI Afterburner with 20 sec at the startup.Got the GPU for 100$ I am not mad about this the previous owner told me that it was broken.

Ok, so I just overclocked my GPU to 1514 MHz and I was curious about something. Does MSI Afterburner need to be open for the overclock to take effect when I boot up my computer?

Hello! So today i Overclocked my GPU with MSI AFterburner. i had Valley benchmark running. On Ulta with no Edge Smoothing i got 60 FPS, but i wanted more, cause i got a 144 Monitor. I opened up MSI Afterburner, everything was +0 mhz. So i addet 100 mhz on Memory clock and GPU clock like a tutorial explained me. I got up to 95 FPS. Accidantly, before i saved the change, i set the GPU Clock on +400 MHZ. After i saved the settings without realising it was on 400 the GPU Driver crashed around 8 times. I managed to click the Reset button on MSI afterburner and everything was setted back to +0mhz. But now i only get 20-30 FPS in Valley, also Games like Rust & CSGO only run at 15 FPS. I restarted my PC with a pause from ~15 minutes of being turned off. Now i checked again, and in MSI everything is on +0 mhz, but still 30 FPS. i tried setting it on around +25 MHZ and still 30 fps, or even worse. did i kill my GPU? need help please! if you need Specs-List or information tell me please

Hello, I'm currently overclocking an Asus Geforce 210 Silent, with the following results: (The voltage is locked) Software | Core | Shader |Memory|Cloud Gate 1.1 Graphics Score (Stock) | 589 | 1402 |600 | 1034 MSI Afterburner | 765 | 1771 |780 | 1435 Asus GPU Tweak| 810 | 1620 |810 | 3D mark crashes without CPU OC during startup (Max.) | 810 | 1771 |810 | If I'm right, Max. should be stable. So my question is: How can I apply those Settings? those Numbers are beyond MSI Afterburners limits, and I cant set the shaderclock in GPU Tweak. (Also GPU Tweak resets my CPU OC every time). I thought maybe flashing the GPU Bios, but how do I edit the clockspeeds? Integrity always turns yellow in NiBitor when changing and rescanning. Pls don't tell me to buy a new GPU, im going to do this in a few days.

I tried overclocking my graphics card but I couldn't change the voltage. I just thought "meh, I'll just overclock it anyways" and so I overclocked the mhz to 2100 on my MSI Gaming X 1070 and just started playing games (Well I did some benchmarking first). Well it wasn't super stable but I just sort of went with it (crashes in valley after 30 minutes) and I played witcher 3 on ultra no problem for hours on end. Eventually I played Rome Total War 2 for the first time and put all the graphics settings on as high as I could put em and my computer crashed. It then would not boot back up. Absolutely refused to. Sometimes it would display the loading screen and then crash, sometimes it wouldn't display anything. Eventually I put my old EVGA 970 back in and it booked just fine. I uninstalled afterburner because I didn't want it to try to OC my card again. I then placed my MSI 1070 back in after that and it booted just fine which I was relieved about. I then reinstalled afterburner (just for the monitoring and fan speed changing) and then the computer crashed again and won't reboot. I'm pretty sure I've bricked my graphics card but I'm not sure how or why or what to do regarding this. I literally just got this card on Tuesday.
