If I were to set up a generic NAS (Network attached Storage) device; would I be able to stream media files such as HD movies to a television, computer or smart phone on the same network? Does anyone else use a NAS for a similar purpose to the intention of mine? Cheers.

Mine would, for sure, be M. Night Shamalongadingdong's "The Last Fuckboi". Ruined my childhood.

Hi, I´m looking for a site where I can pay for watching a movie. Up to this point, I was always buying them on Amazon, where they offer SD stream for $4 USD, which is roughly a price I´m looking for. But when I tried to pay for Inherent Vice, it refused to accept my new credit card (old one expired and I just wanted to change the expiration date) and wants me to fill in tons of personal information, some even US only, which is silly, since I don´t even live there. I really feel like the greatest idiot, I only know about this movie thanks to torrent site I visit. My usual practice is to have a look at what new stuff they have (they really have nice rundown of pretty much everything of any quality, something I failed to find elsewhere), download anything even remotely interesting and then watch few of these, mostly giving up after half an hour. Torrenting a movie isn´t even illegal here btw., but I really liked this movie and since I would be willing to pay for seeing it, I wanted to do just that, since that is what I always do when I enjoy a movie. I used amazon for this, since they had all the movies I wanted to pay for and had reasonable prices (I would definitely not pay $20 for seeing a movie, cinema here is about $4.5), but amazon doesn´t want me anymore. I tried to chew thru their "options", but no success there. I have tried to find someplace else, but gave up after an hour of wasted time, official web didn´t help either. Getting this movie w/o paying took me two clicks and less than 5 seconds, finding a way to pay for it already took over an hour of my time and some of yours as well, since you had to read thru this wall of text (unless you skipped ). So, do you know any place where I can buy/stream majority of movies for around $5? Thanks Update: Google Play has a moderate number of movies for a reasonable price. They already had my credit card, had no problem w/ payment. Update: MS has much better solution.

I'm looking for that punchy bass headphones but not anything like Beats or Skullcandy or Monster-Super-Duper-Gaming-Hero-Force full-spectrum-RGB-unicorn-rainbow-dash-headset ://///// A few weeks ago I've tried Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250Ω and they sound absolutely fenomenal but that bass is kinda flat, not punchy at all despite closed-design-sound-isolating headphones. To be clear, I'm not a basshead and don't like bass choking mids and highs but I just need a punchy bass, more immersive bass in movies and games, want to feel whatever's going on on the screen and these DT-770 250Ω version in terms of bass is kinda "meh", sure they're studio monitoring headphones but I think this version is definitely not the best choice for movies and gaming experience. Honestly I don't know what to look for, I've had Corsair Vengeance 1500 and sold them a year ago because they are to dependent on crappy software. I'm looking for a closed-back design headphones, headsets are not of great importance to me because I rarely use a mic. Price range 100€-200€

Hey guys, I upgraded my TV recently and currently use a Samsung UE40H6400. Ever since my last holiday where I got to bear witness to some beautiful home theater gear, I have become fascinated by it. Additionally, I have a massive blu-ray collection which I would love to watch with good picture and sound. Because of a lack of funds, however, I have two options. 1) Save up and buy the entire kit at once. 2) Buy better components one-by-one. Ideally, I'd get an amplifier using Dolby Atmos technology, but I'm open-minded and can be drawn towards other options.

What do you guys think of the movie? Please guys and girls, keep it nice and don't make call-outs. I went in without knowing what the story was about, but i'm kind of impressed. It leaves you thinking about your own life and it learns you to appreciate the people around you.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2369135/ The Need For Speed movie...ill admit the plot is kindof meh but its a go fast car movie, im not really lookin for a plot. This is very much like a FnF movie with one HUGE difference. Its vastly more realistic. The car and general action stunts are really really amazing while being immensely toned down as compared to a movie like the last few FnF movies, which were awesome, but increasingly unrealistic that leaves you with more of a "pssshhh yeah fuckin right" instead of a "holy shit that was awesome!" The movie gets a 6.6 on IMDB which is actually an alright score but on its release it was bemoaned by critics and torn down for a cheap FnF wannabe.

Hey guys, I felt as if this place needed a place to talk about movies and it kinda does. Just gonna lay down one rule for the thread though; 1) Don't be pretentious You can like Die Hard, Synecdoche, New York and Happy Gilmore at the same time for all I care, don't be a dick. I'll start the thread off by saying that the new Star Wars trailer brought a tear to my eye, Batman vs Superman still needs to convince me and Happy Gilmore gets really bad after multiple viewings. Have fun

So as you may already know, Paul Walker, most known for his role in the Fast and Furious series passed away during the making of Fast 7. Apparently a lookalike of Walker was found, then his face was edited to look more like Walker. (which they did a good job on) So here comes my question. Does anyone think that Slick (Luke) looks like Paul Walker? Also if someone could find me the name of the lookalike who played as Walker I would appreciate that.

Hey all I'm in the market for a nice portable drive that can help make my traveling a little more bearable. I'm looking for a small, WIRELESS drive that can connect to my laptop, my phone, my tablet (android) on a plane. My plan is to put some movies on this small wireless drive and just watch them on my devices while I travel. It doesn't need to be huge but fast play back of high res videos would be baller I was looking at the SanDisk media drive but does that need to connect over WiFi? What if I want to watch my movies ON the plane? I ain't gonna pay for plane WiFi to watch videos I have on the drive on my tablet. I'm also looking to limit the number of cables I bring with me so the wireless component would be sweeet. Any products you guys have experience with to accomplish this stuff?

Hi, I recently heard that there are meant to be some blu-ray disk drives for computers that can play 4k blu-ray movies. And I know I'm late hearing about thing. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction as to which drives support it, if there's some already out, or which drives will be supporting it. So I can keep my eyes open for it. Thanks, hope you can help. P.S. Sorry if this question has already been asked. I looked around and couldn't find anything similar.

So, in The Interview a political satire about James Franco and Seth Rogen assassinating Kim Jong Un. I don't really have to explain it since most of you (if not all) know about it. The question is: would you watch the fake TV show inside the movie (Skylark Tonight) if it was real? The whole Eminem gay thing was actually hilarious to me and I certainly would watch it, but not that much.

So I made a resolution to have watched at least 100 movies this year (from October to October) I'm at 45 so far. So here's my question--in your opinion, do TV movies count towards my 100? They are usually the correct length, but just haven't been released theatrically. Also, do you have any suggestions? Don't pick obvious ones, maybe movies I wouldn't have otherwise heard of. Thanks LTT!

As we all know, the Lord of the Ring movies were fantastic movies that pretty much blew away most people that watched them. Now the Hobbit is a different story. I love everything about the Hobbit movies, the music, the characters, the atmosphere, the story and the CGI. Others don't seem to have the same opinion as me and HEAVILY bash these movies mainly because it was different from the book. I haven't had the chance to read the book (mainly because I dislike reading books online and haven't gone to the local library yet to read it) so I don't know everything that is different compared to the movie. Are the differences so great that people hate the movie this much, or is just that people think it was unnecessary/disrespectful to do these changes. Please give me your opinions on both/either: 1: The lord of the Rings (Did you dislike/like) 2: The hobbit movie/book (Did you dislike/like what they did with the movie compared to book) P.S. If you can recommend online sites that read like books that would be greatly appreciated.

I was watching terrible music videos for a bit and came across the song that I think definitely takes the cake in this category, but I wanted to offer my opinion up for dissent just to make sure I wasn't being too shortsighted. My entry: Wild Wild West As you know it was the title song to the film which also featured Will Smith. Not only were the song & film generally considered terrible, but it takes the cake as being the most catchy awful theme song of all time. I watched it one time and I haven't been able to stop singing the intro in my head, "Wild-wild, wicki; Wicki-wicki Wild-WILD WEST..." It may also be worth noting that some people have slightly attributed this movie to the sudden rise in popularity of "steampunk." My runner ups were Princes of the Universe & the Flash Gordon Theme (Queen), but both were ultimately disqualified because they are not really considered bad as much as just disproportionately epic in comparison to the films they represent.
