Hey! Im planning on buying a 40 to 43 inch 4k TV which Im gonna use with a PS5. But I can't decide which one to buy. So I am asking here. The TV should have a good image quality. Good enough for gaming at like 2m distance. Most important to me is a good pixel response time and as low flicker as possible (headache...). SmartTV and Sound is pretty unimportant since I have a external sound system and I will only use the screen for my PS5. So the quality and stuff of those two things don't really matter. Whats made it pretty hard for me to decide though is the price. I can't pay too much. since I live in switzerland it is a bit hard for me to give a certain number. So I guess just suggest some TVs meeting those requierements and that are not waaaay too expensive. Thank you very much!

I don't know where to ask this so I'm asking here. My little brother is permanently bedridden due to his disability, and therefore does not have the ability to go to the cinema. He is very interested in Five Nights at Freddy's and wants to see the new movie now for Halloween. Does anyone know where I can watch it in Sweden? Peacock is not available in Sweden unfortunately, and the VPN did not work as I had a Swedish payment method which Peacock does not accept. Does anyone know when the film will be available to rent or buy at e.g. iTunes? Or if anyone knows of a streaming service that will probably have it, please link it here or in a private message to my account (in that case, I will buy it as soon as it comes out on iTunes as compensation, since that's the Linus' philosophy). Preferably sites without viruses, thanks.

Hello guys! I am renovating my whole house, and I finally have the funds and the possibility to fulfill one of my oldest dreams: having a propper home theater. I already own a pretty good 5.1 sound systhem, an amplifier for it and a screen, the only item missing is a decent projector. I know my living room is probably not ideal for a projector setup. It has really good blackout curtains, so no light from outside can get to it, but I cant justify painting the walls black or grey. If anyone can suggest a projector for these circumstances, around 1500$, it would be greatly appreciated. (I would basically only use it for movie watching) Thank you guys in advance

I am looking for a movie that's stuck in my head that I can't seem to find, I believe its before 2010 and the only scene I remember is some guy who has this black sword, the swords blade is cut into sections and when he spins it, the sword starts vibrating and I think he cuts right through some guys sword while its vibrating. Please help. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Okay, so .. I am not rich, and I want to store movies, preferably at 4k. I have decided to go with M-Disc drives which supposedly last up to 1000 years (or more). My question is: How big is the difference between a ~5GiB movie, at 4k and between one that is that or lower, in 1080p? I guess a big difference.. but what between ~16GiB, ~25GiB and ~50GiB 4k movies? I wonder if HDR colors would still look good..

I am looking for a TV that is around the $1000 range plus or minus a few hundred dollars. I’m not too fond of OLED because of the risk of burning in. I was looking at Samsung Q 70 due to its 120 Hz refresh rate but I was also looking at the Q80. My question is are there other TVs in this price range that are better than these two TVs? I like Sony and LG brand TVs as well. Black Friday deals are going on so some of these more expensive TVs are in my price range

Hi There I want to make "professional" DVD's and digital Movies. By that I mean, the Medium shall incorporate the following things: - Movies with chapter makrs - Multiple Video Streams - Multiple audio streams in different languages - Multiple Subtitles in different languages - additional Menues - Chapter menu, Bloopers, etc. - Resolution 1080 up to 4k I've already looked into different sofware but either they offer very limited support for the things I want (Wondershare DVD Creator, Movavi Video Suite) or they don't have high enough resolutions (DVD Syler) Is there somebody who knows a program wich allows the creatiion of such menues both for a DVD / Blue-ray and also for a Movie File? Preferably, the software is free, but if a software coveres all those bases, I'm willing to spend money. Thansk for your help* AliSot2000

Anyone have any recommendations for monitors under 150 CAD (New or used) that has a really good contrast or atleast really deep blacks? Wish OLED monitors were a thing already, but there seems to be still a year or 2 till that happens.

OK I work a Petro truck stop in north Baltimore and we have a movie theater in our building that is hooked up to a DVDs player that is in the office. I would like to upgrade it to where the customer can select a movie from a kiosk in the movie theater using a tablet. But here is the trick. Using the existing wiring we have I would like to have a media server like kodi or plex in the office. So customer select the movie on tablet kiosk and it sends the command to the media server to play the movie. I don't want anything to stream to the tablet except for the movie info and posters. But I need to do it as cheap be possible in

I've recently been asked, very nicely, to do some unpaid video work by a "company" in exchange for brand exposure, I accepted since I don't really have much work in my video portfolio and this provided an opportunity for me to get my work out into a high traffic website. But based on the video they had in mind I require a form of stabilisation for my camera. My camera is an 80D with a Sigma 18-35mm lens as per my trusted setup, so my question is, what steadicam style stabiliser is cheap and relatively easy to learn to use. If I were to go for a standard Steadicam (as in ebay cheapo one), how many months or weeks of practice would it take on average to reach an acceptable skill level with it? The people want a flowing kind of shot, like a long showcase take. A tiny bit like this but no aerial or complex shots, just smooth continuous take, in and out of buildings and similar. Oh and I'm taking a holiday later on in the year to New Zealand for skiing. How much less battery will I get from my camera battery pack up a mountain at around 2-5 degrees celcius? And any acclimation tips for lenses and cameras which run minimal risk of damage? Many thanks in advance

I have rented a movie on iTunes, and I would like to screen record a section of it for my own personal use (I want to practise my editing skills on it, as I think I could move the order of events that round). I have a few questions about this: 1. What is a screen recorder that can record itunes rented movie footage on windows 10? 2. Will apple know I am screen recording it? Does itunes have a function built in to see if it is being screen recorded? I ask this as I don't want them to think I am trying to record it to distribute it or something, as I am actually only using it to practise editing. I am worried if they find out they might suspend my account or something. P.S. I am in the UK if that matters.

There are going to be spoilers here, but I don't think it will detract from the viewing experience. I'm writing this mainly as an outlet for my frustration and my thoughts. Square Enix are idiots. That much has been confirmed time and time again. They just don't know what makes something successful. When they made Rise of the Tomb Raider they messed up by amping up the wrong things in the game (there was WAY too much emphasis on collecting crap to craft). When Deus Ex Mankind Divided came out they didn't know what made Human Revolution good (the intricate story and well written characters), instead they focused on doing more of the same, not fixing old mistakes (like prerendered takedowns). And there are a lot more mistakes SE made, the latest of which is the 2018 Tomb Raider movie. Again, it seems like they looked at the game and said "Oh, people liked this, so let's make something like this" and they threw away the good parts and kept the crap. The reboot Tomb Raider game was so much better. And I don't mean that they shouldn't change and rewrite things to fit the movie better, but they totally failed in every respect. Let's take it from the top. In the movie Lara Croft is the polar opposite of the character in the game. She is a fighter (established in the FIRST scene), she didn't go to collage, she doesn't care about archaeology, her only motivation is to find out what happened to her father. Now compare that to the game where she is an archaeologist out to make a name for herself. She is not much of a fighter, she never had to really fend for herself. Furthermore the game starts in medias res and we slowly get some scenes that happened on the boat ride. Instead the movie DRAGS on trying to set up this pathetic plot line about Lara's father. And all of this just so shoehorn trinity into it so they are the big bad. And the first half an hour at least is really just a wast of time. I mean did we really need to see how she finds a boat to go to the island??? Wasn't it just so much easier in the games? Ya know, just start with them already on their way, maybe a monologue with a voyage montage or something, establish the characters and bam, you're on the island. In 10-15 minutes they could've done it way better. Now, the game was good because of the supporting characters. Johna, Roth, Reyes, Whitman. These were all important to the story. They could've done away with Whitman and Reyes to keep the cast smaller but leaving out Johna and Roth? The two most influential people in this story? And of course Sam. Now the story is crap as well. The game centered around this idea that Lara doesn't believe in the supernatural, but then slowly has to face the fact that it does exist. In the movie Lara doesn't believe in the supernatural, and by the end her views are completely vindicated, leading to no character progression, yet again. Turns out Himiko was just a carrier of a nasty virus that turns you into a zombie. But then how do you explain the storms?!?! The whole thing in the game was that Himiko is a very real goddess who wants to be reborn in Sam's body. She is causing all the storms that leave people stranded on Jamatai. And all of this is kind of implied in the beginning exposition of the movie, but then is all but forgotten by the end, kind of saying "oh, that's not it at all". Mathias was turned from a charismatic and intriguing villain into a one dimensional goon. If they really wanted him to be a Trinity thug they could've just as easily did that with him going mad on the island, bringing the whole thing closer to the game. And the most amazingly stupid thing they did... They took one of the most important lines from the game and they made a complete mockery of it, twisting it, using it in the complete opposite sense. "I'm not that kind of Croft" meant that she doesn't believe in herself but she slowly overcame her fears and gained confidence. This was the motto of her growth. But in the movie it kinda just means "I think you're stupid dad and I'm better". I'm not saying all of this because I think they should've recreated the game in movie form. I'm saying this because what they did do is not in any way better than the game. Oh, and the CGI was dodgy at best.
