For the owners of these pads I'd like to hear your personal experience as well their pros and cons. I'm looking for a control pad for CS2 as I've gotten used to the worn-in surface with good stopping power, but I can't exclude Battlefield, Doom and other fast-paced shooters as well. Around 450mm x 400mm size. Currently in the process of switching to a lightweight mouse (DAV3 / Viper V2 Pro) with stock PTFE feet. I can't test any of those in person and can only judge from reviews. G-SR II Currently not available here and have to wait months for potential stock, but probably the best one for me judging from reviews. Smooth, control pad that should be more resistant to humidity than G-SR I which is big for the summers here and is used by a lot of pro players. Unfortunately my current pad is in bad condition and I need something sooner. GP4 Black Seems on the faster side from reviews like a middle ground between control and speed. Not sure if it's suitable for micro adjustments and flicking in CS for people like me who are used to greater control? How does it compare to G-SR II and the rest of the Xtrfy GP lineup? GPZ1 Smooth, slow, control pad by Rocket Jump Ninja that is supposed to be dynamic for both short flicks in CS and long swipes for fast-paced FPSs according to reviews. Seems to get hate for being extremely slow and muddy (slower than G-SR II?), and affected by humidity and moisture. Apparently requires more force to break friction from a standstill which affects micro adjustments? QcK /QcK Edge Classic amidst the esports scene but I don't see it recommended as much anymore. Not sure about its durability in the long term compared to the rest and humidity resistance, of course. Does the QcK Edge feel exactly the same as the QcK or QcK Heavy, just with stitched edges, and how does it compare to the G-SR II? The problem is a lot of hardware and peripherals are always out of stock in my country, and Amazon or other online retailers are out of the question because of expensive shipping, VAT and import fees all resulting in double the price. The same applies to the new kids on the block like LGG Saturn Pro, Artisan Zero, Aqua Control Zero, etc. These are the only ones currently available with decent amount of reviews: - GPZ1 - GP4 Black - QcK - QcK Edge - G-SR I (>€35-40) - Gigantus V2 TL;DR - Need smooth control pad for tactical FPS like CS2 as well as faster-paced games. I think G-SR II will suit me, but need an alternative since it's out of stock. Most "exotic" (newer) brands have too expensive logistics or can't be shipped at all and the list above is what's currently available here. Something not sticky with humidity resistance is preferable. I'm looking for advice as well as personal experience from owners of the pads.

I currently have a Razer Strider mouse mat and wondered if it would be safe to build my PC on it?

The gel cushions on mousepads or "mouse wrist rest" do way more harm than good. The worst thing you can do to your wrist is to have it lay and move on a hard surface, especially a bump or edge. You get more friction, heat, and compression on the part of the hand where absolutely shouldn't be any. Gel mouse pads provide short-term comfort (after adjustment) but they do damage to the wrist and the carpal tunnel area. If you're using a gel mouse pad or a mouse wrist rest, you've been doing more damage to your wrist. A keyboard wrist rest, on the other hand, is a great tool because your hands don't move when typing like your hand does when using the mouse. Friction is a bad thing. The mouse surface (pad) should be flat, with no edges that can cause discomfort or damage, and it should be comfortable. Simply put, that means a large thick cloth-type pad that doesn't move around on the table. 4-6mm of thickness. Examples - SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Cooler Master Storm Speed RX, HyperX Pulsefire, ... As for the mouse, avoid a large and heavy mouse. Such a mouse usually forces the hand to use the palm grip. The palm grip is known as a grip that feels comfortable (resting the whole hand on a large mouse) but limits the range of movement AND causes wrist-related problems to arise if using the mouse for a long time. The palm grip is not the natural resting position of the hand. And the hands are less strained when holding something smaller than something which fills the whole hand (or bigger). Try grabbing something, you'll find it easier to grab something smaller. Try a tennis ball and a table tennis ball. And heavier mice require more force to move. Add "more force needed" to the palm grip and you get a really bad combination of a poor grip style and more pressure on the hand while doing movement. The mouse should be lightweight (new research points at under 100g, preferably under 80g) and shaped so it does not force a bad grip on the user. Holding it with your fingers is more natural and precise. Less damaging on the hand too. If you have a carpal tunnel issue or a RSI caused by using the PC and/or devices, you can try using a vertical mouse for a few weeks or months, to have your arm heal a bit. Just a cheap one. And don't overuse it. Maybe a vertical mouse for surfing and such, and a good mouse for gaming.

Hello out there! I'm in need of your help, as I'm looking for a new mouse, because my current one (NZXT Lift) has stopped working after only a few months (for the second time) and I'm tired of this mouse for now. (if anyone is interested in what exactly is not working: the scroll wheel is being "weird" and scrolling in either direction at random when scrolling or sometimes not even touching the mouse at all and its gradually getting worse) Here's the catch though: I don't need a super high dpi extremely lightweight and whatnot mouse. I'm more looking for one that fits my setup aesthetically and will last me a longer than only a few months. So my criterias are: Wired (preferably with a black wire), White (either exclusively or with black accents) and a somewhat basic design (without a lot of logos straight into your face and stuff) and preferably a bit of rgb (for the extra fps ;D). OR basically any mouse that would fit my setup (image attached below). I am consider any suggestion and also already looked into it myself of course, but can't really decide in terms of longevity of the mouse itself and so on, which is why I'm asking for your suggestions. The price point does not matter that much, just maybe not some ultra premium whatever mouse for more than 200$. Cheers, DWNY

I got a new RGB mouse pad a month ago (dprofy mouse pad) the first few days the mouse pad was fine and great, but I must have stretched the mouse pad out somehow moving my keyboard, and then it got a few small bumps then I tried flattening them with some things around the house, and it got worse and some of the light went away. Some people suggest ironing it but I don't even know if we have a ironer and I dont know how.

Hi! Recently I got a mousepad from the company Aura mech, specifically their Purple Storm design: https://auramech.com/collections/desk-pad/products/gb-purple-storm I spilled some liquid on it and it stained. I really want to restore this mat to its old glory. The website says "Machine Washable" so I can assume that means that I can put it in the.... washing machine? Or should I dunk it in a bathtub with some dish soap? Thanks!

Just watched the ShortCircuit video on a glass mouse mat and got me wondering… Does it actually matter to invest in a much more expensive one? Examples: * $14.99USD: https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck-series?size=l * $59.99USD: https://www.razer.com/gaming-mouse-mats/Razer-Acari/RZ02-03310100-R3U1 * $29.99: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g440-hard-gaming-mouse-pad.943-000098.html * $49.99: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g840-cloth-xl-gaming-mouse-pad.943-000117.html

Hello everyone! I'm doing physics at university and think it's interesting that many mouse reviewers on youtube say that decreasing the weight of a mouse will always give you better aim. The truth is that mice weight is a preference. Mouses with more weight will give you more control (easier to do smaller movments) on the cost that it takes longer time to move the mouse a certain distance which is the same advantage and disadvantage of using lower sensetivity. The reason to why it's easier to make smaller movements with something that weights more are because of the acceleration the human arm or in other words the force the human arm can do. The human arm has a minimum acceleration/force that it can do and that means that if you do a extremely small movement it sometimes can't do it without needing to correct itself multiple times. Having a mouse that weights more will make the acceleration of the mouse lower and still being able to use a comfortable force to move the mouse. Lower acceleration means easier to do smaller movements at the cost of speed and using more energy to move the mouse. Yes light weight mices will feel better because you don't need to use as much energy to move it a certain distance but it's on the cost of control (doing really small movements). To compensate this you will need to lower your sensetivity and doing so will make you need to move the mouse a longer distance so in the end of the day you will still need to use the same amount of energi (Your arm/hand will still be equally tired). Something that are a little easier to explain are the relationship between mouseweight, mouse feet and mousepad. Using a mousepad with higher friction (also called control mousepads) will do the exact same thing as using a mouse with more weight. The friction force (the force you feel when moving the mouse around the mousepad) are calculated with this formula F=mgμ where F is the friction, m the mass and μ the friction constant between the mousepad and mouseglides. As you can see from the formula using a mousepad with lower friction will give a lower friction force and using a mouse with lower weight will also do it. I have noticed that some mouse viewers claim that both control and fast mousepads are great for aim but that only lower weight for mouses are better. If lower mouseweight are better why are then faster mousepads not also always better? The only way to know how how much a mouse weighs are by moving it vertically in the air. I think it's interesting that many mouse reviewers and casual gamers think lighter weight equals better aim when this is not the case. Mouse companies like Logitech themselves also say that weight is just a preference in their youtube videos. I can say myself that I think it's sometimes pretty fun to move fast with lower weight mouses lol .

Hey everyone, I'm making this post because I've had a few issues with said mousepad, and also to leave a feedback about it, in case my posts comes up in Google searches. Pros: Beautiful lighting Easy to use software Many sizes Cons: Cleaning the mouse pad is hard. The RGB plastic pipe around the mousepad will cause a lot of problems that require crazy solutions. I cleaned my mousepad once and apparently I stretched the cloth when brushing it (brushing from the middle to the edges). That lead to the plastic pipe losing its form and bending on two spots. Two months passed and it didn't get his form back. I had to cover it with a towel and iron it 3-4 times (thanks Reddit). This particular cloth accumulates very very much dust and sweat. The area under my mouse feels sluggish. When I pass my mouse above that area it slows down, like it's wet (it isn't). The mousepad is definitely not made for people with sweaty hands. My hands barely sweat, but it's enough to ruin the mouse pad. Prior to this mousepad I've used a Corsair MM200 Extended (also cloth surface) which gathered far less dust and far less sweat. I've used it for 6 years and I didn't have any issues at all with it. I could throw it in the bathtub, brush it clean, hang it to dry, and it would be clean as new. It never lost its form. The rubber underneath the mousepad isn't very 'sticky'. Pushing my keyboard around (adjusting it), pushes the mousepad as well. Huge no-no. Just for reference I use a SteelSeries Apex 7 keyboard without it's wrist rest. I have a Glorious Padded Keyboard Wrist Rest - Stealth Edition so that I can easily adjust the keyboard without moving the wrist rest around, plus it's softer. There's a guide about how to 'properly' clean Prism mousepads. They should warn you to be careful with brushing though. Don't brush it too hard, because it might stretch the mousepad and the RGB pipes will lose their form.

Hey all! I just had a quick question about LTT mousepads. Did the team provide any update on when the mousepads might come back into stock? I've been visiting lttstore.com (gotta plug it) daily for the past few months trying to get my hands on one and have had no luck. I know they mentioned that they were going to provide an update, so I'm wondering if I might have missed it. If anyone is able to let me know any recent info regarding this topic, please comment below. Thanks a lot in advance!

I have a Arozzi Gaming desk, desk-mat that was originally water repellent but over time it has lost its hydrophobia and since I'm gonna deep clean it again I figured I should re-spray whatever hydrophobic compound they used at the factory. My only concern is finding a spray coating that won't effect the texture of the mouse-pad/desk-mat. I've searched online and couldn't find anyone who has done this.

I recently noticed that my handpalm would get sore after using Aimlab (where I have to move the mouse a ton up and down), while when I was playing CS (where you aim mainly horizontally) I had no such issue. I decided to rub my fingers across the surface, and noticed that it feels a lot rougher vertically - and due to that a lot worse than my Omen 300. Is that just how the stitching is done? I can't find anything else about this online

Hi, so the time has come to throw away my old teared up gaming companion and I'm wondering if I should buy another Steelseries QCK+, try Logitech for once (I heard it's better) or try the LTT Mousepad. I really like the design of LTT mousepad, but I didn't see a single word about it's resistance comparison between other gaming mousepads. Does anyone know if it's any good for gaming? Thanks
