Okay, so I've been watching a lot of case reviews in trying to find a good case for my new build and I've been wondering... Linus always talks like the amount of drive bays is a big deal and I'm trying to figure out if I'm alone on the fact that I only have 2 drives(120GB SSD & 1TB HDD) and this feature doesn't really matter to me. Do a lot of people have 5 or 6 drives or do case manufacturers have to include more bays for a small portion of people who do have a lot of drives even though most people don't?

Hi there! I'm currently using one 16:9 1080p monitor from BenQ. (It's a 21.5 Inch) I'm planning to get a 21:9 1080p monitor from LG, that one is 29 inch. My plan is/was to mount the ultrawide screen below and the widescreen monitor above it. I searched for some mounts online but didn't found where I was looking for. So, here I am, asking you guys for some tips and/or tricks. Do you guys have some suggestions for mounting monitors in a vertical way? Here are links to my monitors: BenQ 21.5 inch 1080p: http://benq.eu/product/monitor/gw2265hm/ LG 29 inch 1080p: http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-29UM55-P This is my idea of mounting the monitors: http://www.highdisplay.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Vertical-Computer-Monitor.jpg My budget for a mount is around €60,- (Around $63 USD) Thanks in advance! clgst14

In my case for my new PC, I will be mounting 1 2.5inch SSD and 1 3.5inch HDD. My case (Graphite 230T) has a removable drive mounting bay with 4x 2.5 and 4x 3.5 bays, but the mounting bay partially blocks the intake fans, so I wanted to take it out, and mount the two drives in a 5.25inch expansion bay. Im looking for an adapter similar to this: http://www.startech.com/m/HDD/Mobile-Racks/525in-Bay-Mounted-25in-and-35in-SATA-Hard-Drive-Docking-Station~SATADOCK525 That converts one 5.25inch bay into a hot-swap dock for 1 2.5 and 1 3.5 drive, inserted from the front. I just want a metal cage-like structure that will allow me to place 1 3.5 and 1 2.5 drive in a single 5.25 bay, but so far I've only been able to find the hot-swap type. Any suggestions?

My Zalman MZ230ED 23" monitor has two mounting holes. I've never seen this before and haven't found anything on Google. The holes are 4" from one another. Will this work with a VESA mount or any retail mount? Does anyone actually know what this mount is called or even seen one before?

hi guys, After watching Linus review of the NZXT Kraken G10, I've decided to include it in my new build. My question is actually about the radiators that I'll use with the all in one cooling loops. I'll be using this case from NZXT. The idea is to have the x61 Kraken (for the CPU) mounted at the top of the case with 2x 140mm fans. Then 2x x31 Krakens mounted in the front behind the 120mm fans. These two x31 Krakens will be for my 2 G10 brackets (SLI config) Any one who has experience or knowledge of the H440 I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I have a 120GB SSD, and a 1.5TB HDD that I use for data storage. I am planning on repaving Windows 7, so I just wanted to be sure that when I connect the drive to my computer that when I go to add it into Disk Management that I don't have to select any format options, and that I can instead just mount it without having to lose any of my data on the second storage HDD? (NTFS filesystem). I am aware that any "programs" may not work properly, however I will be cleaning out what I don't need and reorganizing literally everything on that drive. The last thing I want to do is have to go out and buy a USB storage device to transfer everything to. Though my WD green operates at only like 80 something Megabytes per second lol (Before people suggest my drive is dying chill it is not like I have a choice in the matter, employers take awhile to respond to applications unfortunately.)

Hi all, I just got a second x61 from a friend who decided to build a custom loop for his rig. I have my CPU X61 mounted in the front position of my Arc Midi R2 in push/pull (necessitated by the internal steel structure of the case), but I did not remove the ODD bay at the top. I would like to leave it in if I can. With the Kraken G10 installed on my R9 290 and the X61 ready to go in the top mounting position, I hit a snag. The rad doesn't fit because it hits the rounded edge of the ODD bay structure (see picture below). I tried to get it to fit in an unorthodox mounting position but that way the motherboard top heatsink and RAM interferes with it. Anyone know how to deal with this aside from removing the ODD bay by drilling out the rivets? Thanks everyone.

As the title says, does anybody know where I can find the 1150 mounting kit for the h100i? I looked on the corsair website and could only find the replacement set for 1155,1156,1366, and 2011. Any help would be great.

Hey Guys, So i was wondering if there was a way I could 'mount' or strap down my NZXT Phantom 410? My family is currently moving into a RV and would like to take my PC and not send it to storage. Any Suggestions?

This article made by Hardware Secrets popped to my eyes from rss feed today. They have tested difference between vertical and horizontal cooler mounting. I'm bit surprised from results but not much. The testing is left bit short. I would have liked to know if having fan in push or pull in all configurations have any significant effect. And why not test all possibilities at once. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Which-is-The-Best-Position-for-a-Tower-CPU-Cooler/1815/1

Hey, I just figured why not give people ideas how to mount their SSDs? Mine is not really new(guess who I looked it up from :D) but yeah BTW: They're attached with Velcro

I placed my SSD on the PSU. . Is it a bad idea? I used a thick double sided tape for it. I uploaded a picture on this topic.

My brother have an Aerocool PGS Vs-9 case and i took a look inside of it, and i saw something really nice. You can install a 12cm or 14cm fan on the side panel at the position you prefer. Or you can install 2x 12cm or 14cm fans at the side panel. Same thing goes for the bottom. In the front of the case, they have full of 5,25" bases and they give you 3,5" to 5,25" adapters to put in your hard drives. For my opinion, that is really nice. You also dont need screws to mount a 5,25" drive, but you will need screws to mount your 3,5" hard drive to the adapter, but you wont need screws to mount the adapter in the case. And you can also install a 12cm fan to the hard drive mounts to cool your drives. Or you can use the same adapter to mount the fans to take air from the front. All of the front bays can be removed and they have air filters. In my opinion, other case manufacturers have to copy this feature. Because in some cases, the front bays are not enough to mount everything you want. Or maybe the same for the 3,25" bases. Look at this image. It actually describes everything that i am trying to explain. One thing that is missing, that the bays are not removable. It would be nice if you could remove them. Like, they would be 3 in one pack, and you could remove those packs. By pack, i mean this; So, what do you think? (I hope i was understandable, because English is not my main language.) (Also this is my very first post on this forum )

Hello all, I was trying to get my build all wrapped up, but it continues to bug me that there's a HDD cage in the middle of my case... So I was curious, Do you guys have any creative methods to mount a HDD without a cage?

Has anyone done this? If you have done this before please explain how and post pictures if you can.

Hey Everyone, Currently working to install the parts that I have for my new Obsidian 350D built, but I stumbled upon a problem. If you look at the reference pictures from Corsair of the 350D, you can clearly see that they are using AF120s or SP120s: When I try to install my SP120, this can't be done. The mountingholes for the fan are just holes. You need to have a fan that has a tabbed hole (don't know how to explain this). I need to be able to screw my screw into the fan, but this isn't possible with SP120s. Does anybody have an idea on how to mount my SP120 on the back of the case (so the one on the far left).

Hey i was thinking of making a MINI-ITX (super compact in LEGO) pc to run a few games and watch some youtube and home theathre etc etc. I have 2 laptops and 1 highend gaming pc and 1 gaming pc /desktop, i also have the money and time so why not. But as i was planning everything and working for a few hours on the project (not buying parts, but listing and how to do it etc) i bumped into this problem. How can i mount my motherboard to lego ? like withouth shortening its lifespan etc? So far ive only come up with non conductive foam, but is there better ways to do it? I dont care how bad of an idea this is, so dont bother commenting, just let me now if you have any mounting ideas!

I have been planing a build for a while and I need to mount a 4 GB WD Black drive somewhere in my case, however I want to use a swiftech h320 (though it says corsair h110 in the build, I need to change that) and this will require me to take out the hard drive cages, any suggestions as to how and where else I could mount the drive (I am sure someone has asked this before but I just couldn't find any other helpful posts). Also I considered velcro, but I am just worried that that may damage the drive due to vibration and maybe even it falling off the velcro. Hey guys. I'm currently buying parts for my latest project, which is watercooling the system which should be shown below my name. Anyway, what you need to know is that I have an XSPC D5 Photon 170 Pump/Reservoir Combo unit and I am trying to figure out how to mount it in a Fractal Arc Mini R2. The motherboard tray ends pretty much right after the grommets, and I don't want to mount on the back side panel. Any ideas on how I can get this thing mounted securely?
